I didn’t know this was the fifth book in the series, but still loved it nonetheless. I’m absolutely going to read the rest of the series. I really like Isra’s character. In a battle of light and darkness, Isra has kinda lost her way. I LOVE this book and can’t wait to get my hands on the rest.
While I wouldn’t say this book was my favorite I will say it was well written and I feel like clearly I should have started at the beginning maybe. Read the whole series! It WAS entertaining and you know the saying, 2s company, 3s a crowd. Well we find that here! If you’re a little witchy this is for you, I love reading books like these and wishing if only it was me!
Her Dark Love (Dark Spell Series Book 4) by Isra Sravenheart. This author has definitely found the way to keep me coming back for more. I find myself having a harder time getting into a more paranormal storyline lately but this author doesn’t have any problems get me hooked from page one. The characters each bring out the awesomeness of this story. They are complex and well developed. Each one brings something needed to make the story whole. While the storyline draws you in and keeps you captivated. It’s a well written book and I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. Highly recommended four big stars!
This series keeps captivating my interest. The author has done a very commendable job taking tropes and genres we have become accustomed to and making them filter through a new lens. For best appreciation, I do recommend you read the books in series order to truly grasp the character development. That said, this book can be read on its own. Fantasy lovers should enjoy the imagery and character development. Another satisfying afternoon read.
I give Her Dark Love (Dark Spell Series Book 4) by Isra Sravenheart, 4 stars.
If you have been following the series, this book takes us back to the beginning of Isra, showing us how she came to be. It was interesting to see this aspect of her life. You are introduced to many characters, and this is what makes this book so good. This is a world of magic and those who want to take advantage of others, no matter the cost. Although this is written like an adult fairytale, there is no happily ever after. But the followers of this series already know this. This s a story of discovering just what you are made of and what extents you will go. The author has done a fantastic job presenting to us the beginning of the story. She creates a world of magic and makes you feel like you are right there. You really feel for Isra in this book.
If you like darker, more adult fairytales, this book and series are for you. If you have followed, the series, this book will show you the beginning. If you have not, you will discover a whole new world and cast of characters.
Her Dark Love was a really good prequel I guess? I’m not sure what exactly to call it but the author does take us back to before before main villains (characters) turn evil. So it was nice to go back. I can’t recall many of the characters though, I’ve only read the second book and it was awhile back so my memory wasn’t up to date when I picked this one up. But since it is taking us back in time I don’t think that’s really relevant. It was hard for me to get into though. It felt like the story was rushed and they went from one scene to another without taking appropriate measures on showing the reader how they got there. And it was very stop and start like reading a fairytale. Overall I enjoyed the story, but hate that I couldn’t enjoy it more than I wanted to or would have liked.
Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart is the fourth book in the Dark Spell Series. I highly recommend this series in order instead of as standalone reads. This book is my favorite so far in the series. We get the backstory to Isra and how she developed into the person she has become. I really enjoyed this insight into Isra and it gives a new dimension to the characters and the other books. I look forward to reading more in this series soon and from this author.
Her Dark Love (Dark Spells Series Book 4) by Isra Sravenheart
Although this is book four in the series, it reads more like a prequel. It is about Lady Isra as a young, innocent witch before she turned to the dark side. We learn how she joined Wingdom Academy and met Everilda. Once best friends until a man came between them. Isra being young and inexperienced fell fir Jonathan. In the end, he broke her heart and she turned hell bent on revenge.
I enjoyed reading about her as a young girl and learning about her past. I was happy to see Astrid was part of the story and learning how he first became part of her life. Unfortunately there was a lot of repetition once again. I understood that her hair was chocolate brown and her eyes were like emeralds the first time that I read it. It didn’t need to be repeated constantly. The story felt rushed yet at the same time, it felt like there was information missing. I feel like the author should slow down so that she can better express herself better on paper.
Isra is a young witch with big plans, she is seventeen and wants to enrol in the Wingdom’s Academy of Ancient Magics to learn more magic, however, when she arrives the building is unassuming, apart from the very realistic gargoyles and the classes are boring, but she takes solace in the nature surrounding it. It is during one of these times that she meets a fellow witch with whom she thinks she will get on with, Everilda, another young witch but she seems to be more interested in romance and boys than she is in the craft, but they hit it off despite this.
On another day, Isra is waiting for Everilda in a meadow so that they can spend some time together, but instead of Everilda turning up, it is a mysterious young man, he isn’t showing any signs of magic, but he is attractive and captivating and because she is quite naïve and inexperienced, the fact that he is paying attention to her is a bit of a novelty. She keeps distant yet polite with him and he introduces himself as Jonathan, but is also wary because of the rules of the college, however, she contemplates spending more time with him and she cannot wait to tell Everilda all about it when she gets back to the Academy. This is where Everilda starts to drift away from Isra because it turns out that she also has intentions towards this man, but Isra has come to the attention of a light bringer named Samuel who sends his right hand raven Astrid to observe and report on her actions after hearing of her future.
As time passes and Isra’s relationships with Everilda and James develop, they become more complicated and when Isra finds out that she is involved in a love triangle, she is devastated and cannot believe it, but will she be able to forgive and forget and will Astrid and the light bringers be able to keep her on the path of light, or will the darkness prevail? This is a fantastic story with twists, turns and magic galore which will draw you in to a magical world, while explaining beginnings and the consequences of interfering with the emotions and lives of others until you reach its conclusion.

This is the 4th book in the Dark Spells series. I have enjoyed all these books but this one is really special.
This book is proof that people aren’t always what they seem and that some life event makes them the way they are.
This book goes back to when Isra goes to Wingdom’s Academy to learn all about her gifts as a witch. This is a side of Isra we haven’t seen before when she is sweet, innocent and good. Isra is only has good in her heart and even though she’s not very social she makes friends with Everilda.
However the friendship turns nasty when Irsa finds herself involved in a love triangle with Everilda and Johnathan. Everilda knows about Isra’s feelings for Johnathan but she still pursues him.
Feeling hurt and betrayed by the 2 people she cares for and trusts this is the turning point where Isra goes from good to dark.
Meanwhile Isra is being watched as she is part of a prophecy. Does Isra need to remain good or is that the main reason for her turning to the dark side.
This book is full of adventure and betrayal. It also answers a lot of questions about what made Isra the way she is
Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart
Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series by Isra Sravenheart. This is one series that should definitely be read in order to get the full effect of what is happening. The writing is original and very detailed. There are many characters and each is portrayed with detail. This book brings us back to the beginning of Isra’s story and how she found herself on the path she is currently on. I truly enjoyed this whole series, but I think this is my favorite book so far. I can’t wait to see what will happen in the next book.
Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series. This story takes us back to see who Isra was before she started down the dark path, and the events that set everything in motion. The insight this book gives into the character’s early years helps give the previous books more depth.
The fairy tale writing style is sometimes a challenge for me, but I like the originality.
Her Dark Love is a dark fairy tale story full of deceit, betrayal, magic, and heartbreak that will keep you turning the pages.
Her Dark Love(Dark Spell #4)by Isra Sravenheart
5out of 5 stars
Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series written by Ms. Sravenheart. The characters are amazing and the plot was awesome we have a few twists and turn, revenge, love, betrayal, deceit, and suspense I cannot wait to read more of this author’s work.
Lady Isra of the Dark didn’t always reside in the shadows she had a light side too as you will soon discover. This story takes us to the beginning and we find out what happened to Isra to turn her dark.
You will need to read this story to find out what happened but I do recommend that you read all the books in the series…
Isra gets involved in the love triangle with her, Everilda and Jonathan. Just like most true love, it hurts when there’s a betrayal. In this case, it brings on the dark magic. Isra flips out and decides to enter the dark magic. You are feeling Isra’s pain of her first love as she is experiencing it. That feeling of revenge you get when you want to hurt them back can be mighty strong, as it is for Isra. You can feel the tug of lightness try to pull her back but that dark just wins her. During this time, Samuel and his ravens, Astrid and James, are keeping an eye on her because of a prophecy. The plot is very good and easy to read. The characters are full of personality, each one full of personality that just fits like one big puzzle. The details are fantastic. I find myself picturing something along the lines of old English castles. Love this series. Highly Recommend.
The 4th book in the series and again it is well written and great in the fantasy elements. This goes into great detail about lady ISRA. As the villan of her world she thrives on the evil within hell bent in darkness taking over. Caught my attention from the very beginning. I could put down once I started.
Her Dark Love (Dark Spell Series #4) by Isra Sravenheart
This is another great read by Sravenheart. Dark Spell Series can be read as standalone. This is the fourth book in the Series.
Isra is at school for Magic. She’s known for being dark and using dark magic. Can she be saved before it’s too late? She finds a friend and a lover only to be betrayed. The quote I chose for Isra is: “I came here to hone my craft, to excel in what I was born with. Let’s face it. I can’t escape my fate even if I attempted to. Magic will always be in my blood. I will always be a witch.”
Jonathan has taken a liking of Isra. His girlfriend gets jealous and casts a spell. Now in order for Jonathan to be with Isra she has to break the spell. The quote I chose for Jonathan is: “I am sorry, but this is what I cannot give you. Everilda has me bound to her will and until you break her spell, I am forever cursed to be hers.”
Highly recommended for Fantasy Witch lovers.
HER DARK LOVE (DARK SPELL SERIES Book 4) by ISRA SRAVENHEART
Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell Series by Isra Sravenheart. I was pulled in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down till I finished. I do recommend reading the first three books in this series if you haven’t already started them as it will give you a better understanding of what is going on and help with the characters and their back story. Lady Irsa hasn’t always been on the dark side she once had a light side. She finds herself faced with having to go back to the light side before she finds herself having to stay in the dark side like everyone thinks. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. It’s my favorite yet. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
HER DARK LOVE (DARK SPELL SERIES Book 4) by ISRA SRAVENHEART was a fantastic installment to this series. If you have read this whole series then this book really ties it all together, book 4 takes us back to the beginning of Isra’s story and gives us so many great details on how she got on this dark path. Once again Ms. Sravenheart gives us a fantastic plot, with a fairytale feel, drama, witches, betrayal, romance, and so much more. While most “fairytale” books focus on the hero Ms. Sravenheart focuses on the villain giving us a incredible and refreshing series.
This is really one of those books that you think you know what you are getting into when you pick it up and then the author surprises you and you get something even better. In HER DARK LOVE we get the back story of Isra and how she came to be all about the dark heart she has now in the books we previously read in the Dark Spell series, formerly known as Her Blackened Heart. I would personally recommend that you read these books in order and before you read this one in order to really enjoy and understand things as they are intended to be enjoyed and understood. This has something for everyone who loves magic, paranormal, and fantasy. I like how vivid Ms. Sravenheart writes her novels and I am sure that you will as well as you dive into the world she has created here. I cannot wait to see what we will get next!
Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell Series by Isra Sravenheart. This is the book that brings all things front and center. It is a fantasy story with witches and magic, romance and heartbreaks. In this story, we learn about the backstory of Lady Isra. She was not always on the dark side; she was once on the light side. This book has helped answer some questions along the way. Just like in the past, things are not as they seem. This story was full of twists and turns. I enjoyed Lady Isra’s character a bit more because of what I learned about her past and what she has gone through. I highly recommend reading this book and series.
It was interesting, after reading the other three books in the series, to get a glimpse into some of the early events that shaped Isra. We are flown back to her adolescence, when she was training to become the witch she would morph into, with her “friend” Everilda beside her. Seeing the emergence of her powers, and the beginnings of her relationships with characters like Everilda and Astrid, added depth and nuance into understanding how she evolved as a witch. I enjoyed reading about Isra’s lighter side, and how those crucial formative years had such a impact on the woman she would become.
This is book 4 in the paranormal series. This is more of a back story into Lady Isra who was not always bad she once used her powers for good and this story will explain what happened to her to make her change her path. This is another great installment by this author and you won’t be disappointed.
Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart is the newest installment in the Dark Spell Series. I love that this book takes us back to when Isra, a young witch, just starting to study at Wingdom’s Academy of Ancient Magic’s. At seventeen, Isra has always known she was different from her family and is excited to be learning all about witchcraft. As a young woman who believes in the good of the world, we see how things start to change for Isra making her turn towards dark magic. This, the fourth book in the series, is a wonderful addition to this series! So glad to be able to read about young Isra. It really helps to understand Isla and sheds light on the whole story. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Her Dark Love (Dark Spell #4) by Isra Sravenheart
This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I can honestly say that I had no problem following along given that it’s the fourth book in the series.
I loved these characters; I was intrigued from the very start. I had so many questions as the story went on and I loved how everything playing out. I enjoyed all of the detail that the author wrote with, it made it incredibly easy to picture everything playing out in my mind. I also enjoyed how original the story line was, it was truly one of a kind!
This is a series that I really look forward to starting from the beginning and one I would recommend to others.
Her Dark Love is the fourth instalment of The Blackened Series by author Isra Sravenheart. The book takes us back in time to when Isra is a teenager, starting at a high-end academy where she befriends a young woman by the name of Everlida. As the story progresses, she also meets a young man by the name of Jonathan- handsome and suave, but also is involved with Everlida. Astrid, a raven shapeshifter is a light bringer in the world of magic, tasked with watching over Isra to keep her from falling to the dark, as the prophecy has foretold.
Her Dark Love draws the reader in, and holds them all the way through. I like how we get more insight into Isra’s character, and even into Astrid. I wonder what’s in store for Book 5!
Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series (formerly The Blackened Series) by Isra Sravenheart. This book takes us back to the beginning of Isra’s story as we find out what set her on the dark path that we met her on. Quite a lot has happened in the series and this book certainly helps to fill in a lot of backstory and answer a lot of questions. But things aren’t always as they seem.
Again, this addition to the series is quite original- with the dark fairytale feel to it that I have come to expect from Isra Sravenheart. And as I have mentioned previously, this book/series stands apart from other ‘fairytale’ type stories in that it is all about the so-called ‘villain’.
Another captivating fantasy with witches, magic, romance, betrayal, heartache, spells, drama, friendship, and more.
Looking forward to seeing where we go from here.
Thank you, Isra Sravenheart!
I’ve read previous books by this same author in this series and I’m happy to have a backstory on Lady Isra. Through reading this one, I hate the turn it takes as these characters become enthralled in a love triangle like no other. The drama is intense and worth reading about but as the light and dark squabble over Isra, it becomes more intensifying than we thought. The fact that this sends you on a plane with her, you’ll feel shuffled but this story needs to be told if you’re invested as I was through the series. I don’t want to give it away but I’m sure you’re gonna see what I mean.
Isra has done it again. In this latest installment, you finally find out about “the event” that keeps being referenced in the previous books. This book brings the series full circle. My heart broke for Isra as she went through these things even though you know that she finds her version of happiness in the earlier books. Like the previous books this book has been written wonderfully, and does not disappoint! I continue to absolutely love this series and its amazing characters!
HER DARK LOVE (DARK SPELL SERIES Book 4) by ISRA SRAVENHEART. This is the 4th book in the Dark Spell Series and its so good. Its the story of Isra and Everlida as they being their studies at Wingdom’s Academy to learn the art of magic. At the age of 17 students learn how to perfect their magic powers and how to use them. Lady Isra was not always bad she once used her powers for good. This tells the story of how it all began and explains more about the other books. Its a fast paced keep you up all night read. Isra is not a very social person but she does befriend Everlida and later on Johnathan. Isra is not sure about Johnathan but decides to meet up with him not knowing he’s been seeing Everlida as well. Can they stop Isra from becoming dark and how will they be able to stop it. This super intriguing read full of magic, emotions and love is amazing. Read it today!
Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series. This is one series that I would highly recommend reading in order so that you can get full enjoyment out of it.
I really enjoyed this book. It is an origins story as such, looking back at what is the start of Lady Isra’s journey. It is such a fast past story that you are so easily drawn into everything going on. I have enjoyed all this series so far but I do think this book is my favourite! I enjoyed going back to see where it all started and to understand more about the main character and why she is the way she is. I also have yo say that I think this book has got to be one of my all time favourite book covers. I could not stop looking at it. Even if I hadn’t got this book we the next in the series I would have picked it up based on the cover alone. A brilliant book and well worth the time.
