Once again, I find myself flying through another Hidden Valley Elite installment… this time while literally flying. I really enjoyed learning more about Shane’s back story in this one, as he’s always just been on the outskirts previously. My ONLY complaint is that I wish we didn’t end on a cliffhanger. Each installment in this series ends on a cliffhanger and could easily have each duet be one book. But I will wait as patiently as I can for the next one.

This was a great 5 star read. This series has quickly become one of my favorites and I was excited to finally get Shane and Winter’s story. Be prepared for a heck of a rollercoaster of emotions and so much more. Winter returns to university, she is struggling with some things from her past. When Shane see’s Winter his need for revenge ignites. But as he spends time with her will he be able to go through with it? What will happen if Winter finds out his secrets? Overall this was a great dark read. There are so many twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I highly suggest reading this series from the start. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. 1-click and get started today.

OMG! I was super duper excited to read this next installment of this series. This one follows Shane from the previous books. This one was just as fantastic as the other. No, i think it was better, TBH. It’s filled with so much deceit, lies, emotions, drama, betrayal, spicy romance, and ups and downs that it’ll leave you dizzy and want more at the same time🥰. Some of these characters are a real piece of work (not gonna name names you’ll see lmao) but that’s just extra kudos to Isla Vaughn for creating them so well that you’ll feel such strong emotions toward them. Get ready to be left on the edge of your seat because this one leaves you on a cliffhanger 😬😬😭.I can’t believe that this series is about to end. I’m gonna miss the amazing characters and the complex world this brilliant author has written, but with that being said, I CANNOT WAIT to see how Shane and Winter’s story ends. Bring on the Wicked End 🥰

After how the previous in the series ended i was so curious on what was to happen in this one and i was not disappointed. I would definitely read this series from start to finish in order to get to know the characters but also to get the whole flow of the stories and how they lead us to here. This one is full of twists i wasnt expecting and the way it ends i need the next one now please!

This book was a hard book to put down. This book series has been amazing and keeps you wanting more at the end of every book. I do suggest reading the other books first but can be read by itself.
This book follows the stories of Shane and Winter. Shane has worked his whole life towards one goal but one night that all could change for him. One action with good intentions that could cost him everything he has worked for. As a son and brother, he just wants to make his family proud and follow his dreams. He is highly determined and goes for what he wants.
Winter came back to town with one goal. Which was to find answers to things that happened to her family a long time ago. She does not want or need any distractions and that is what men can be.
What happens when the person you collide with seems familiar? Can someone who you can’t place be a key factor in your life? Do opposites attract or will a war ensue?
Read this book to find out what happens with these two.

I was so excited to get my hands on this book and start the next in the series. I was pulled straight back into these characters and their lives and couldn’t wait to see what was in store for Shane and Winter. This series has become one of my favourites and this book just reinforces exactly why. It is well written and I fell in love with these characters immediately. This author seems to be able to create an incredible story no matter what she turns her hand to. I have already read the previous books in this series multiple times and this one is going to be exactly the same. It has made me even more excited for the next book and everything else this author has to offer.

Book 7 in the Hidden Valley Elite Series, Wicked Games exceeded my expectations. After reading the first 6 books in the series, I had high hopes for this one, since it seems to be coming up on the end of the series. Isla Vaughn did not disappoint. Excellent world building and solid, fluid writing, coupled with suspense, drama, and so many twists and turns make the world of Thane University come to life. The same great characters return and are, once again, thrown into some heavy stuff. Shane and Winter not only have a wicked history with one another, but seem destined to be torn apart before truths can be revealed. The cliffhanger at the end of Wicked Games took me by surprise and left me biting my nails until the 8th book is released!

Oh my! This story has so so so much pain and heartache.
Shane doesn’t seem like a troublemaking baddie. But he certainly finds himself in over his head with the police, with Winter, with revenge and with life in general.
Winter seems like a normal college transfer student with a few secrets and a “whoa is me” childhood. And then those terrible secrets are revealed. And the pain for the reader begins!
Once the secrets are out for both Shane and Winter, we can begin to understand their pain.
Sadly, Grandpa didn’t meet his demise in this story. He actually only showed up when needed and had very little to say…maybe next time. He is one character I love to hate.
I love the writing style of this author. We see the main characters’ points of view; each book is focused on one couple but still involves or mentions the couples we love from the previous stories. This cliffhanger will continue in Wicked Ends which sounds a little ominous, so waiting is painful!
Definitely need to read this series, Hidden Valley Elite Series, from the very beginning.

Wicked Games is the next instalment of the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn. I have read every book of this series so far and have been eagerly anticipating Shane’s story. I feel out of the 4 main characters he is the one I know least about and have the least connection with. I was really surprised by this story; it is much darker than the previous duets and I loved it! This book follows the story of Shane and Winter. There are so many different elements of this book that I cannot wait to resolve. I do not want to give away any spoilers, but this book ends on a massive cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the last part.

Shane was facing involuntary manslaughter charges after he hit Luke Green on behalf of Erica. When he hit Luke, the boy fell and hit his head on the corner of the cement steps. His grandfather brought in an attorney and the charges were dismissed once video showed that it was evident the move was self-defense. However, not everyone feels justice has been served. Shane’s father, Joe, attempts to convince him to go into business with him flipping houses. The only issue was he needed Shane and Phoenix to take a loan out on their trust money to get the business started. Winter has arrived at Thane University. 8 years had passed since her mother was sent to prison for the death of her sister. Winter refused to read any of the letters she sent. She is given the parole hearing notice, asking she appear for her mother at the hearing. Winter is now a dorm roommate with Piper. At the coffee shop she sees Shane, and thinks he is attractive. What she fails to remember is that she tormented him in grade school. However, Shane has not forgotten and plans on payback. At a party, Winter finds Shane and follows him where the tension is clearly palpable. Using the Landon as his name. offer to walk her back to her dorm. They share a kiss that leaves them breathless. Then, as part of his plan, he begins walking away. Winter enters her dorm room confused. While Shane is walking to the parking lot, Cindy, a professor he had a fling with, insists he meet her in her office to share an intimate rendezvous. Shane dismisses her and Cindy confronts him about Winter. He tells Cindy off and leaves the scorned woman in the parking lot. The following morning, Winter goes to her mail slot and finds a letter written in red letters calling her a Killer.
Isla Vaughn continues her Hidden Valley Elite Series with Wicked Games. Shane and Winter share a bond; however, hers is more of a smitten love while he has a whirlwind of inner turmoil. He wants to bond with his father but I think Joe is seeking money for something else. I think if he gets anything from Shane, he will disappear again. The impending birth of his brother’s baby, making his goal to the NFL, Professor Cindy Elian refusing to end their fling, build the turmoil Shane has to face. Just when he thinks everything is over regarding Luke’s accidental death, Luke’s family attack again with a civil suit. Winter’s memory of the day her sister died is foggy, but she believes her neglectful mother had either killed her sister or knows who did. The rumor that Winter killed her tore her apart. She doesn’t want to help her mother with the parole hearing. I am eager to read the sequel, as this series has become one of my favorites.

The first thing I can say about this story is…..NOOO! That can’t be the end? I want more… This series is Fantastic. Even with the ups and downs. Winter is trying to start over. Her childhood was not pretty, she fought her way out. Shane has his secrets and tries to keep them hidden. The biggest lie is that he remembers being bullied by the one girl who made his life miserable. Now adults and going to college, their fight is even bigger. This author is such a great writer. She writes stories the keep you wanting so much more. The story is fast paced and will keep you turning pages, but so worth the sleepless night. Bullies to Romance written so well, I just have to wait for book 8. Review@cinful

Wow!!!! This is my favorite in the series so far!!!!
When I finished reading the prior book in the series, I thought I knew what this book would involve, but boy did Isla Vaughn throw me for a loop. I had no way of knowing what she had in store for me!!! I LOVED IT!!!
Shane has been an enigma for me since the beginning of this series! He has been a bit secretive, so I never really thought I knew who he was. To say he is complicated would be a huge understatement. He has actually become my favorite character in the series, and I feel like there is so much more I will come to discover about him. In the previous books, he has come across as extremely confident, but Vaughn showed me that he had to work hard to overcome some serious insecurities that our other main character, Winter, helped instill in him.
Like Shane, Winter, is a very complex, complicated character as well. To see Winter through Shane’s eyes, would make a person pretty much hate her. Thankfully, Vaughn gives Winter her own voice that allows readers to see her in a completely different light. I didn’t excuse her treatment of Shane, but she was just a child from a very toxic family. I was happy to see that she now had a family who loved her and supported her.
While this is a revenge, bully romance, it is SO MUCH MORE!!!! It is also suspenseful and full of twists. And, as usual, Vaughn leaves us with a HUGE cliffhanger. She outdid herself again…I will anxiously be awaiting what happens next for Shane and Winter!!!

I start most of my reviews for this series off the same way so bear with me please. If you have not read the previous books in this series I highly suggest you go back and start from the beginning.
This author has spent alot of time building these relationships and overall stories throughout the first 7 Novels it’s crazy to see everything formally coming full circle, I could read 12 more books in this series and still not have enough. I’m not sure I’d have to look into but I believe this is the beginning of the end of this series, which sounds a bit weird, but this is the final character for us to really explore.
This book is about Shaneeee, and it is some intense drama, every book we get a bit more and I cannot wait to see where this all goes for him and Winter, their chemistry is so spicy, so far I think their dynamic and relationship/not relationship is my favorite. The back and forth between them, the angst the sizzling betrayal and everything in between them makes my toes curl.
I will say that Winters personality at first felt a little forced on me, but she’s grown on me, now she just needs to grow on shane. This book starts out 100 an hour an keeps that pace basically through the entire book. I’m so excited to read the next part to their story.
Definitely 100000% recommend this series, if you’re looking for a “universe” to get stuck in, this one I highly suggest.

Once again, Isla Vaughn delivers with a fantastic book that I was unable to put down. The Hidden Valley Elite Series has most definitely become one of the most addicting series that I have ever read. I am always so excited when I see there is a new release and I pencil off time in my schedule to ensure that I will have enough time to read it in one sitting. Isla Vaughn does a fantastic job of creating characters that are flawed yet are so lovable. I don’t know if lovable is the right word, but they are characters that you want to know more about and are truly invested in. This is the first part of the final duet in the series. In this we are really introduced to Shane and Winter. These two are the two throughout the whole series that I have had very conflicted feelings on the whole time. I truly enjoyed getting to see things from their perspective and watching it all unfold. I have a love / hate relationship with the fact that these books are duets. This leaves me on a cliffhanger and while I love the way it is written I hate having to wait for the next book. As with every other book by Isla Vaughn I have ever read, I definitely recommend reading this book and the whole series. She has created an entire world with this series that I truly love.

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up and have enjoyed reading her books from the first one. This is the seventh book in this series which just keeps getting better and better with each book. This is a well written story about what happens when you return to where your world falls apart, the beginning of everything. I enjoyed how the author used details to pull me into the story from the start. The characters are relatable and connectable. They bring emotion in parts and have great growth in others. They were engaging and had me coming back for more. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down where the author used details to make the story realistic. An entertaining story that is easy to read and I highly recommend it.

Y’all already know I’m first on the list whenever Isla releases a new book. Of course, I had to pick up this one after I saw the release finally came, and lemme just say: What. The. Eff.
FIRST OF ALL: Shane. Buddy. Amigo. How is it out of all the stupid crap the other three have done, Shane is the one who has to deal with the most whacked out crap?
And the ending! That cliffhanger! Bro. BRO. I need book 8 so bad right now.

This is book 7 in the Hidden Valley Elite Series, but the first book in the duet focusing on Shane and Winter. It is not necessary to read all of the previous books in order, but I do recommend you do so, as it will give you much needed background on Shane and some of the other elite characters.
This book will hit you with every single feeling you possibly could have while reading a book! Shane has always intrigued me from the very beginning of the series, just something about him constantly caught my attention. His personality is much more complex than the other three boys in his family. Shane is a mixture of anger, rage, and broodiness but at the same time is the type of boy you’d find yourself staying up late to talk to about absolutely everything, and it would come effortlessly. At the end of Cruel Love, we see that Shane is being arrested on involuntary manslaughter – and this book starts out exactly what happened to get to that point.
Winter – she is a brand-new character entering the series, which I thought was refreshing. She is returning after being gone for 8 years. Her father died, and her sister was then murdered by her mother, who was sentenced to 10 years. Jaxon’s family decided to take her in and showed her what a TRUE LOVING family was supposed to feel and look like.
Twist time—- Shane and Winter have a dark and messed up past together. Winter almost droves Shane to end his life in the fifth grade, and now seeing her back in town, he vows to make her pay for what she did to him. The worst part is…. Winter doesn’t even recognize Shane, so he ends up “pretending” to be a guy named Landon and begins to date Winter.
Such an amazing book but be warned it does end of a hefty cliffhanger! I cannot wait till the second part of the duet comes out!
Will Winter find out who Shane is? If she does, how does she find out? Is Shane in too deep with Winter? Will he know when he has gone too far? Will Winter’s om be granted parole at her next hearing?

4 out of 5
Another great story in the series. This one follows the story of Shane and Winter. I think it was my favorite book of the series so far but as always it hurts to be left on a cliffhanger. I definitely suggest reading the entire series since it is so good. I can’t wait for what’s next. Highly recommend.

This series is becoming one of my favorites and thus author is becoming one that I will read anything she writes. This is the 7th book in the series and these books keep getting better and better. This is the first part of a duet in a series. So, make sure to read this one-first before you move onto the next book. This is also a book that you will want to read the rest in the series before this one, just so you have some background info about this amazing group. This book has everything you could dream of from angst, to steam, to intrigue. Since this is a duet story it does end in a cliff hanger and I normally detest cliffhangers but this one actually makes me want to read the next book, instead of being angry. I suggest that if you absolutely hate cliffhangers that you could wait for the second book to read it but you would be missing out on the start of an amazing story. The enemies to lover vibes that is given will have you turning pages faster than you can read them. The mystery into who did what will have you creating how things are going to go. This book has you wondering if they will figure things out. It also feels like everything is coming full circle with the series. It makes me sad that it is ending but happy that I get at least one more book. Reviewed by: @bbohls

Wicked Games is Book #7 (but the 10th instalment) in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn. OMG- I can’t get enough of this series!! This is the first instalment in Shane and Winter’s story, which concludes in the next book, Wicked Ends. It is a New Adult, enemies-to-lovers “bully” romance with plenty of angsty drama, love, hate, emotion, trauma, tension, intrigue, suspense, mystery, secrets, family dynamics, sparks, chemistry, and s-s-s-sizzle. As we previously- The ‘Elites’ are the top of the food chain, college football stars. They are brothers Cole and Damon and their cousins, twin brothers Phoenix and Shane. Each of the elites get their own book/s – and this time it’s Shane (and Winter’s) turn. And OMG do they have a story to tell! This is not a light and fluffy read- nor is the series. There is a lot of darker content, which I won’t go into because I don’t want to spoil anything for you. But do check the content warnings before diving in, because there are some disturbing/unsettling details contained in the book/series. And, as expected- Ms. Vaughn loved toying with my emotions! This ends on a cliffhanger and is set to continue in ‘Wicked Ends’ (Book #8)…..I can’t wait!!! Happy Reading…

Wicked Games is the seventh book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series. At this point I’m invested, I have to keep reading but sometimes the stories feel forced. This one has picked up since the last one. The ending of the last one allowed this one to start with the reader on the edge of their seat. The characters are nice but I think need a tad bit more development. At times the interactions seem forced. Overall it was a huge improvement since the last book!

This is book 7 in the Hidden Valley Elite series. I honestly can’t give this series enough praise. I have loved every story. I was waiting on the edge of my seat for this book after the cliff hanger the last book left me on. This book follow the last of the 4 men we have read about in this series (definately read them from the start). We are with Shane and Winter in this story.
When we rejoin Shane he is struggling through the fallout and consequences of his actions. When Winter reappears in his life. Winter used to bully Shane and made his life hell and now he sees his chance for revenge. To make her feel as low and as worthless as he felt all those years ago. What he doesn’t realise is Winter can’t possible feel any lower than she already does.
Winter has returned to university after leaving her Foster parents. Winter has had a traumatic past with losing her sister at her mother’s hands and now her past is about to catch up with her as her mother parole date looms. As she struggles with lost memories, anger towards her mother and nightmares she can’t shake Shane becomes her shining light making her feel safe. But with so many secrets and lies between them do they even stand a chance of being together. And when their pasts catch up with them a secrets start coming to life would they even want to be together. What happens when the need for revenge turns into a connection and a passion neither one can deny.
Like with the other romances the chemistry between our characters is on fire but the angst, trauma and struggles they have to go through is what makes me fall in love with them.

This series is one of my all time favorite romance reads. Winter and Shane are both very well developed characters. I have been waiting and waiting to find out about Shane from the beginning of this series. He is this mysterious character playing a background role that finally has the spotlight in this novel. Between him and Winter, this book gives me enemies to lovers vibes.
I honestly have to say that this has been my favorite so far in the Hidden Valley Elite Series. It is not my favorite because it is one of the longest in the series, but I do give the author credit for expounding on this storyline. And yet, I am still dying for more. Shane is accused of many things, but I do not believe for one second that he had anything to do with Winter’s sudden problem. Once again, the cliffhanger is going to be the end of me! I cannot wait for the next book!!

We are finally entering the final duet of this series. And I will be sad when the final book comes out. This series is wonderful and fantastic. These characters you grow to love. Wicked Games is the beginning of the end. I feel like the series is coming full circle, this book gives you a lot of similar vibes as how the first duet started. Bullying is not okay and that’s exactly what Winter did to Shane when they were young. He stuttered which gave her all the ammunition she needed to tear him down. Well guess what she’s back and Shane vows to get revenge for what she put him through. Not that he has time, he’s dealing with a lot and Winter just adds to the mix. Giving her a false name allows him to get close, but at what cost? Will heart or mind win out? Will he continue on his path of revenge or decide to bring it to an end? Winter has returned to her hometown. A town full of ghosts. Where she lost her dad. Where her sister was murder. Where her mom was arrested. She now returns to dig a little deeper into her past while attending college. Never did she expect that journey to be derailed by Landon. A man spotted across a cafe that just pulls at her soul. She’s drawn to him. He mentions they were kids together, yet she doesn’t remember him, but she wants to get to know him. Will she find out who he really is? Again I will reiterate, I love this series. And this final duet is setting up to be the grand finale. The best journey taken with these characters yet. Do you need to read the others? Not really but you should! So what are you waiting for? I’m waiting for the final book release.

Wow, are you ready for a roller coaster ride of lies, intense situations, deceit, dark pasts, corruption, bullying, questions and hard truths and decisions that will be made hard to make….the twists and turns……this story of Shane and Winter…I did not see coming from a mile away. Wicked Games is book #7 in the fabulous Hidden Valley Elite Series and I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning as the characters are entwined in each book building more and more in the story lines….all I can say is Wow…..this author is truly talented and I love that she continues to amaze me with each book in the series.
Shane is a star athlete at Thane University and trying to balance school and athletics while trying to compromise with his father. Hired as a bodyguard to help protect a female, things do not go as planned while trying to protect her that lands him in hot water. While trying to fight for freedom, and getting back to life, he runs into the new girl at college……and he knows who she is automatically…no other than Winter….a girl he knew since elementary school. The rage and anger can only stem with the need of revenge from past hurts….but what happens when Shane gets to know Winter in a different light…
Winter, new student at Thane University, is trying to find her way being on her own at college since being raised by her wonderful foster parents. Winter never expects to fall for Shane in the most unexpected ways….but keeps her past inside as her past. The past is coming around haunting Winter at every corner, but nothing prepares Winter when she finds out who the true Shane is. Will Shane and Winter be able to overcome their past hurts and scandals?
I loved this book so much and I cannot wait until I know more about Winter and Shane in Wicked Ends!! This is a fabulous series and I cannot get enough.
