The first story was about a best friend that sleeps with her dad. The next story I want to say is about getting that chance to love the one who got away. This was a really fast paced book. I loved that it had two short stories combined.
For anyone who likes this sort of genre with two very fast-paced short stories, this is a definite must to read. Two back-to-back stories that are completely unrelated. LM Mountford knows how to put a lot of sexy details in a short story and make the reader wish for more. The first story: Tequila Sunset is about a girl’s best friend and her father. Cassandra has been told she is boring, she is feeling more than inadequate, and is spending some much-needed time in the pool with her best friend Stacey. Stacey’s father, David, is there and -after his divorce- has been noticing Cassandra the same way that she is noticing him. Cue fantasy. The second story: Beneath the Sheets is a short, romantic story about two lifelong friends who have lost touch. Sarah reaches out to Alex after years apart and he jumps on the first flight to her – no questions asked. Their romance picks up right where it left off all those years ago and makes for a wonderfully sweet and exciting read.

L.M. Mountford lives up to his moniker of “Lord of Lust” in this one!
Two quick read sexy short stories featuring tropical locations and how dirty the pairings can get in each location. These two stories will each leave you fanning yourself or going in search of a way to alleviate that tension.
I enjoyed that the tropes used were not duplicative between the stories. These stories are not for the faint of heart or those looking for a wholesome romance. These are stories about the passion and lust which exists between two parties and how hard and fast they can come together to explosive results. HEA’s are dubious at best here. This bundle certainly leaves me wanting to search out more of Mountford’s lustful works.
Further breakdown of each story as follows:
Tequila Sunset A true Age Gap, Forbidden Romance based short story. A broken hearted young woman faces her attraction to her best friend’s father, and a recently divorced, writer’s blocked author, confronts his new longing for the forbidden fruit. This one plays up the taboo aspect by stating that David (a.k.a. Mr Street) remembered Cassandra playing with dolls along with his daughter while growing up, and having the nickname ‘Cass’ that he uses when acting in that more familiar role. As I don’t have a problem with age gap romances and tend to enjoy a little forbidden romance I really enjoyed this story. Tequila Sunset is well paced and has a good build up leading to the smut within.

Beneath the sheets I really enjoyed this story, getting to know about the past and rekindling of a high school friendship. The sexual tension is well built upon, and doesn’t feel like it’s the sole focus of the story, but rather an aspect of this relationship growing. This story reads more like the beginning of something that could grow into a story of it’ own, but its a sexy and sensual beginning to Alex and Sarah’s adult relationship nonetheless.

This set is definitely for the 18+ group. Two hot, steamy stories that heat up the pages. The author certainly knows how to bring out the lust in the ladies. I have read a few books from this author and she always blows my mind. These are two short sexy stories that will make your temperature rise. I was so excited when I got this bookI stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end. These characters had me hooked on these reads right from the start.
The first story is called Tequila Sunset. Cass is suffering from a hard break up. She has always had a crush on her best friend’s dad but she doesn’t want to hurt her friend. Cass is left with David, her friend’s dad all by herself. Will she get the courage to ask him what she really wants or will she be a good girl?
The second story is called Beneath the Sheets. Alex thought he had the best girl he could ever have until he catches her with one of his main clients. He is so upset he doesn’t even know what to do then he gets an email that changes everything. Sarah Snow was his first love and before he knows it he is on a plane to Australia. Alex doesn’t know what is going to happen when they meet again but he knows this time he is going to fight for her. Will Alex find his love or will he end up lonely once again?

Romancing the Tropics is a steamy short read with 2 stories. The 1st story “Tequila Sunset” is a older man, younger woman steamy fling. Cassie is getting over a breakup with her boyfriend and spending time with her best friend at her dad’s house. Things get very steamy quickly when both Cassie and David (Cassie’s best friends dad) get some alone time. The 2nd story “Beneath The Sheets” is about Alex and Sarah, whom are best friends. When Alex breaks up with his girlfriend, he decides to hop on a plane to Australia to see Sarah, whom he loved since high school. Alex and Sarah rekindle their romance when they see each other again. The first story, Tequila Sunset, is a best-friend’s dad story. Cassandra is enjoying a getaway off the Spanish coast after her latest boyfriend dumped her for being “boring”. Her best friend booked the tickets as soon as she heard what happened. The only other person at the house is her best friend’s dad, David. Cassandra has always thought David was hot…but she couldn’t possibly act on it…right?
David is enjoying his vacation home while he tries to overcome the writer’s block that seems to have taken up residence in his mind. His daughter and her friend are also at the house. He finds himself spending some extra time staring at how beautiful Cassandra has grown up to be. When his daughter goes out shopping, and he finds himself alone with Cassandra, it’s the perfect time to see if what he is feeling is mutual. When sparks fly between these two…there is no stopping them!
The second story, Beneath the Sheets, is a rekindling story. Alex is returning home to visit his friend Sarah after she reaches out to him after over 5 years of nothing. He doesn’t know why she upped and disappeared years ago…but he is determined to find out! However, the shy and baggy-clothed Sarah he knew from the past is gone. In her place is a beautiful and confident woman who he finds extremely attractive.
Sarah reaches out to David on a drunken whim (encouraged by a friend, of course). When David shows up not too long after…she knows she needs to tell him the truth. There is more to it than her just walking away after Prom. But, now that David’s back, so are her feelings that she has harbored for years. What happens if they act on their mutual attraction?
Both stories were good and I enjoyed them. They are definitely on the erotic side…so if that’s not your jam then be forewarned. I would definitely read books by this author again!

Romancing the Tropics (A Tropical Cocktail Romance Boxset) by L.M. Mountford was definitely an interesting romance read for me. While this box set is very short Mr. Mountford knows how to pack the pages with lots of steamy romance. I don’t normally read romances with this much steam, but I found myself incapable of putting Romancing the Tropics (A Tropical Cocktail Romance Boxset) by L.M. Mountford down until I finished it in just a couple of hours. His word building was fantastic and the the short stories flows without flaw.

Oh, this author – he definitely knows how to get the pulse racing in his sexy short reads! I absolutely love reading his books! They might only be short reads but my gosh he doesn’t miss anything.
Tequila Sunset may be a slight taboo story but I still liked it – got to be honest he was a very attractive and sexy older guy and the passion between them was certainly off the charts! He definitely brought Cass out of herself that’s for sure!! I loved the setting for this story too! Sounded relaxing and idyllic!
Beneath the Sheets was a second chance romance read and I really enjoyed this one too. This story had more of a build-up than the first one so I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing their relationship develop. I loved Alex and Sarah – they definitely had chemistry. They were cute together!
Both stories were brilliant reads and I 100% recommend this box set! As always, I look forward to more from this author again in the future!

This book contains 2 stories and both if them are steamy romances. The author does an amazing job at bringing the chemistry and passion between the couples alive through these pages.
The first book is about a young woman who had her heart broken by her ex. Trying to rediscover who she is, she acts on her attraction to her best friends dad. She has been attracted to him for years and now she wants to see if the reality matches her dreams. The chemistry and attraction between them is very hot and the passion makes for a very steamy encounter.
The second story is about a couple who had a night together at prom. The next day Sarah left. Years later after an abusive relationship Alex decides he’s going to find his first love. This story is different from the first story because both Sarah and Alex even though their feelings for each other are the same both are scared they will be rejected by the other. So their passion is slower to build but just as special and magical when it happens.

Very steamy book. It shows how a women with no confidence gains it after her ex Crushed her self esteem. Cassandra can’t shake what he said in the past to her she wasn’t a wild girl and prefer the quiet snuggle life. Her Dad’s best mate David the chemistry is there and hot.
The second hot and steamy book. Had Alex and Sarah and I was hooked from the frist chapter it was bit out down until the end of the story. Which is a more romantic journey.

For instance the first story, Tequila Sunset about unyielding lust after something you know you can’t have. Cassandra has lusted after her best friend Stacey’s father David for as long as she can remember. David looks out the window noticing Cass in a barely there white bikini, has him abandoning his writer’s block to take a trip to the pool. If I wasn’t already a lustful person, this little holiday romance boxset really would have set those wheels in motion! I decided to pick up these stories one night when my partner was stuck at work overnight, hoping it would give me something very exciting to fall asleep to, and boy, was I right.
Tequila Sunset is a quirky little quick read, that is definitely a must read for those out there that have a thing for ‘silver foxes’ and attaining the unattainable. As someone that has always felt average, I could relate to Cass’s character, as well as having her little sex kitten side well hidden behind her normal persona. It was quick, sexy, and had some kinky thoughts running through my mind. It left me flustered, flushed, and very turned on.
Beneath the Sheets is a second chance romance quickie, where our main character Alex is travelling to visit his estranged best friend, Sarah Snow. His life had become complicated back home, and the exchange of emails led to him making the quick decision to fly to visit her. After not seeing her for so long, he finds that all those feelings he had before hadn’t gone away, in fact, they’d grown stronger, and he knew that they were meant to be. It was a nice change up from the wham bam thank you ma’am of the first story, including a brief background, and some nice build up to the bedroom scene. It gave my heart all the feels, and I found myself congratulating these two sweethearts on their HEA.
Overall, these quick reads were fantastic, and exactly what I was after. L.M Mountford has a special talent for writing these short erotica stories. Well done, consider me impressed. Will be back for more!

Romancing the Tropics: A Holiday Romance Boxset (A Tropical Cocktail Romance) by L.M. Mountford is yet another outstanding book by an author that is firmly on my must read list! Every time I pick up a book by this author I know it is going to be good – so much so that I no longer even bother to read the descriptions I simply start reading. Thanks to that I was very pleasantly surprised to find this book was not just 1 book but 2! Although both short stories I was delighted that we got to read even more. And I honestly don’t think I could pick a favourite out of each of these books as I enjoyed them both so much. I absolutely devoured the collection in one sitting and even went back to read these ones again. They are so steamy that you will definitely find yourself a bit hot under the collar. I loved that both of the stories were different and yet both had my attention in full. I would highly recommend not only these books but this author as well.

Tequila Sunset is the first book that is a quick and easy read. Cassy has always been a bit of a sexy but plain Jane. She has always been happy in her own skin but when her ex throws it in her face, she finds herself full of self-doubt. Her bestie is having none of that and is determined to whisk her away to lift her spirits. If you are looking for something short and steamy, a nice quick read, this is the one. There are two sexy reads in one, Tequila Sunset & Beneath the Sheets. The first book Cassie finally lands her best friend’s dad after suffering from a bad recent break up. It does check off the fantasy of being with a younger daddy. The only thing that kind of threw me off was the dialogue between them, at times I thought Cassie was a little too much, but that didn’t distract from the sexiness that was happening with them. In the second book is more on the sweet side to me, yes it is also short and steamy, but this one has friends that have reconnected after being apart for awhile. I’m happy Sarah found what she was looking for, it seems she has always loved Alex, and it looks like Alex may feel the same. I would definitely recommend this book for any romance lover who is looking for a quicky.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a hot, steamy box set that has a collection of two short stories that are guaranteed to heat up your night. One of the things I love about this author is their attention to details that gave the story a realistic feel. This book is no different. This author brings the steam to a new level with each story. The characters are connectable as well as keep the story engaging. This is an easy, entertaining story that is fast paced which I didn’t put down until the last page. The characters are unique, hot, steamy as they give life to their stories. You don’t want to miss this box set, it is a must read. I highly recommend this book and this author.

These two books, bring a whole lot of steaminess’ and desire to the page. I should add not just to a singe page, but to multiple! The pages were full of passion, heat, and chemistry, and it brought the hotness to more extremes, and were so good to read in more ways than one!
The first story I got to enjoy, was to me about temptation and dark chocolate. You know you want it, but shouldn’t have it, but you go for a bite anyway. And you do not stop there. You keep going till you devour it all. That was what this one was like. A girl who believes she doesn’t have that appeal to be sexy or desirable. Until she spends time with her friend’s father. I must add the friend is also her best friend? Her friend’s father awakens something in her , and the heat and the passion combine in one making the pages themselves sweat with their own desire and the heat they bring. The story was so good and naughtily in different ways to read, after all don’t we all desire the temptation we shouldn’t want, but yet we do?
The second one brought just as much to the table, but a history of friendship. So I guess to me it was more than just lust and desire, there was old feelings buried that maybe would never surface or maybe just the right about of lust and heat could awaken those feelings? 2 prior best friends, who lost everything they had of a night spent together may get their happy ending after maybe. They end up corresponding years after everything they had blew up in flame, and they meet again after so long. Perhaps there was more than just beneath the sheets till why Sarah left Alex the way she did? the sparks flying when they meet again had me so invested in then, in reality I just wanted them to rip their clothes off and go at it! This one was delightful as it was sexy and steamy!
The author knew how to grasp their readers and take them as if they are bound for a night of sexiness’. That’s what happened here for sure. I was devoured by the heat and passion of these two novels. And like any good steamy event, I was left wanting more, so much more. the author is quite good at setting the scene and delivering the steam from there with all other factors entwined. I really enjoyed these books and I will be sure be reading more by then! I need this level of steaminess’ in my life more often! If you are looking for a read to give you that certain heat and lust…then read these. You will not have any regrets!

This is a lovely story about how first love that is lost doesnt have to stay lost forever.

Also stranded in the same airport is Artemis Warren. Penelope and Artemis were childhood sweethearts but a misunderstanding caused them to part.
Now 6 years later they are stuck together in a small place. Both holdong secrets that could either destroy each other or bring them back together.
Can they get over all the pain and secrets of the past or is it too late to rebuild the past.
Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is a short and sweet little Christmas read that is full with emotion. On the flight home for Christmas Penelope, Max (her son), and Jolynn (her mom), are forced to land their plan in a very small town because of a snow storm. Unfortunately, fate would have it that her ex from years ago, Artemis Warren was also forced to land at the same tiny airport. The separate worlds of the two of them collide again, only this time there are a lot of scars and secrets… big secrets… secrets that could change both of their lives in a major way. The secret is soon revealed and so it begins the back and forth of the emotional pull between the two. This book was delightfully pleasant. There was so much emotion packed in to this book and the character were very favorable. The story-line was great and I got the ending that I had hoped for all along. This is a quick read that would be perfect by a day spend by the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.

Holiday Terminal: (A Second Chance Secret Baby Billionaire Holiday Romance) by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson was the first Christmas book of the year for me and almost got my grinchy heart into the spirit.
I have read most of Ms. McNamee’s books and wasn’t sure what to expect with a collaboration, especially with an author I have only recently discovered but I throughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by these two ladies in the future.
Max stole my heart from the very beginning of the book and didn’t let go, there was just something about that little boy that grabbed me.
Though there were some issues between Penelope and Artemis, there wasn’t the heavy drama like there could have been which made me enjoy it that much more.

I give Love in the Lowcountry (A Winter Holiday Collection Book 1), 4 stars.
This is a great collection of Christmas romance stories. What makes it stand out is that there are multiple subgenres of romance, such as contemporary romance and paranormal romance. This makes it even more interesting in my opinion, you never what what you’re going to get next.
While there are many good stories in here, I want to focus on Poinsettias for Carly by Michele Sims. It takes two main characters who were really close when they were young, but tragedy separated them. Now she can’t stand him, especially after this latest move. But he seems to want to forgive and forget. Is she willing?
Not a very long story, the author is able to tell us so much about these characters’ pasts while explaining what is happening in the current day too. This felt like a complete story to me and while I would love to read more about these people, I did not like I was left hanging. The author is a great storyteller and it really comes across in the story.
If you like variety in your romance short stories, this is the perfect anthology for your holiday season.

This Winter Holiday Collection has a little bit of everything!
Poinsettias for Carly by Michele Sims is a pretty ok and sweet story. It’s a quick short story about 2 kids growing up together until a tragic accident and a few misunderstandings cause hurt feelings and repressed love. All this information is gathered in flash backs. Those same kids are grown-ups now and are meeting again for the first time in many years. As they reminisce, they rediscover their love for each other.
The story flowed well but I didn’t seem able to connect to the characters. I could definitely see how their situation could have been different with some good old fashioned open communication. I like Sims writing style to keep reading her stories. While there seems to be something missing, Sims is a writer to be watched!
Looking forward to reading the rest of this anthology and other Sims stories!

What a wonderful collection of winter time stories! There is definitely something for everybody in this anthology – from paranormal to sweet romance. One of the stories I particularly enjoyed was Poinsettias for Carly by Michele Sims. I enjoy second chance romances so this one was always going to be a great story for me and throw in Christmas time and it ticks every box! Although this was a short story it wasn’t lacking in anything at all – it was well written with characters that were developed nicely. I loved Carly! I thought that she was a great character. She’s been through some tough times but she absolutely stands up for what she believes in! Even if that means standing up to the man who she shares a past with! This really was a lovely story and well worth a read from this anthology!
