5 out of 5 stars

The story Perfectly Played by Holly Kerr is a wonderful romance book that I loved reading. It is funny, emotional, entertaining, and hooked me in from the very beginning. I loved reading about the characters of Flora and Dean. They both had wedding plans. Flora found that she couldn’t go through with her big day and Dean’s fiancé told him she was not coming. They didn’t see themselves spending a night together that they can’t stop thinking about. An unfound note seems to end any chance between these two may have together until fate steps in. Will they act on the second chance that has been set before them? What does the future hold for Dean and Flora? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about both Dean and Flora with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but be sympathetic to what they go through and my heart went out to them. They deserve to find happiness. I enjoyed reading about the interactions/dialogue between many of the other characters in the story had with Dean and Flora. Some conversations are emotional. There are also moments that warmed my heart and had me saying “Aww.” Don’t miss out on a story that you won’t want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended.

Flower shop owner Flora has waited years to say “I do” but when she gets to the altar, all she can say is “I can’t.”
Ex-ballplayer Dean waits for his turn to find wedded bliss but has nothing to say when his bride-to-be texts that she’s not coming.
As Flora makes her escape from the chapel in Las Vegas, she barrels into Dean and it changes everything.
They never expect to spend the night together.
One perfect night where they share everything but names, numbers, or even Facebook pages. In the morning, Dean leaves without waking Flora, thinking the note he leaves will be enough.
Maybe it would have been if Flora had found it.
Once they get back to the real world, Flora can’t stop thinking about Dean. And Dean keeps dreaming of Flora. Could they be closer than they think?
When fate steps with a bouquet of flowers, will Flora and Dean get a second chance at love? And will they be ready to take it?
With a hint of Runaway Bride and a bit of Serendipity, Flora and Dean discover some love stories are perfectly played.

Holly Kerr grew up as a country girl but now calls Toronto home. After ‘retiring’ from her job to raise her three kids, Holly jumped into writing very quietly while her kids took very long, enforced naps. Now the author of eleven books, ranging from action-packed Chick Lit, fun rom-com/mom-com, and sister-saga woman’s fiction, she has even tried her hand at writing middle-grade dragon tales for her kids. Holly stays awake with countless cups of tea, the occasional Pepsi, before-dinner wine, and a weekly dirty martini.
