This is a Children’s book and is 26 pages in length. My boys are 7 and 10 and still believe. My 7-year-old, however, has started asking questions because he has been hearing things at school. I read this to them. I know I for one am not looking forward to the day they find out. I love how the author found a child’s way to keep the belief alive and the illustrations were wonderful! This is one of those books that should be handed down for generations to come.

This wonderfully illustrated book is a great way to have the conversation about Santa and keeping the Christmas magic alive. It is especially helpful if you have children of different ages. The author gives us the ability to take control of what could be a hard conversation and turn it into something special. I’ve been looking for the perfect way to answer this question and I believe this book will definitely help us!

Mom is There a Santa Claus is such an adorable book. It is a great tool for addressing that transition period, when a child begins to question Santa. I am going to keep this book in my back pocket, as I’m sure I will need it within the next year for my oldest. She is right at that age, and will enjoy assisting keep the magic alive for her younger brothers. Many of us adults have heard this rationale, of becoming part of the magic. I enjoyed the added personal touch of the necklace passed down through the generations. I love the illustrations, they are very bright and unique.

“Every year the spirit of Santa enters the hearts and minds of people willing to listen.”

I am 32 years old and it is hard to convince me there is no such thing as Santa. I’ve been fortunate enough in my short life to have seen so many instances where the spirit of Christmas and the kindness of others has kept the hope alive for me. I think this is why Mom, is There a Santa Clause was such a big hit for me. I loved the way Lucas’ mom kept his dream alive so that Lucas could do the same for his younger siblings and classmates. My children are still young enough to be swept away by the magic of believing but this is the perfect book for that “stage” in life when they’re no longer so sure. This book kept a sentimental smile on my face throughout each page (and maybe got me a touch emotional too).

This was such a cute story! I really enjoyed how the author wrote a story for children of the age that may be close to no longer believing Santa is real and how the young character’s mom explains the true meaning of Santa Claus!

The pictures went along great with the story and were well detailed.
I highly recommend this book for parents of children who are close to not believing anymore to help them understand the importance and the true meaning behind the holidays!

What a cute short story! I always wondered how I would handle the situation when my kids start questioning if Santa is real or not. The last thing a parent wants to do is hurt their child. This book gives a beautifully creative way to keep the magic of Christmas alive. The illustrations are colorful and fun. They definitely bring the story to life!

I am holding onto this book for my granddaughter. She still believes in Santa Claus and this book is the perfect explanation about the Spirit of Christmas and carrying on the tradition, when she asks “Is Santa real?” It’s short, sweet, and to the point.

This book is a coming of age story based around the concept of Santa. The author introduces a new way of approaching the subject on if there is a Santa Clause. The story is a cute experience between a mother and her son over the topic. She recruits him over into being a Dream Keeper. Which he takes to heart with his little brother. Keeping the magic alive for his younger sibling. I adore the new take on the holiday season. It is a book that I will be reading to my children when they begin to ask the same question.

I loved this book! Although I have a 4 year old daughter and an 8 month old son they are not yet ready for this book just yet. I loved how it keeps people believing in Santa Claus by believing in the spirit of Christmas without breaking the hearts of little ones around the world. I always wondered how I would tell my children that there was no Santa! This book knocked it out of the park and when the time comes I will be using it to explain the spirit of Christmas!

This was a short, illustrated story that helps answer the question that parents hate to hear from their children “Is there really a Santa Claus?” I like how the author took a different approach to answering this question and decided to teach kids to keep the dream alive. I think this is a great way to make the kids aware that Santa will always be in your heart if you just believe. I loved how the author managed to use a relic not Christmas related as a symbol of believing. This could be a great way of continuing to help keep the memories of Christmas alive in all of us. I thought that the illustrations were quite beautiful. I loved that they were simple yet helped tell the story. This is a highly recommended book for young children, especially those starting to question Santa.

Christmas dream
A beautifully illustrated Christmas story about answering the question every parent faces. This story navigates the question in a slightly different way and focuses more on the belief of Christmas and keeping that belief alive rather than the magic of Christmas. The message is delivered well and the story has a heartwarming ending.

My children are now grown old enough to understand that there is no Santa, but there was a point of time when they did come and ask, ”Mom, is there really a Santa?”. This book helps us answer the question with a lovely story, which Lucas’s mom tells him when he asks her the same question. The spirit of Christmas is explained so well to keep the notion of Santa alive in the minds of the young and old alike. A beautiful book and a must read for all children who have come of age to understand that Santa Claus is magical and not real.

Lucas is a young boy who is growing up quickly and as another Christmas arrives, he is excited that Santa will be coming again this year, but this excitement is dampened by his friends at school who tell him that “Only babies believe in Santa!” So when he gets home, he asks his Mom whether Santa really exists, this is where he is offered the chance to be a Dream Keeper and be a part of a big secret.

This is an illustrated tale of the part of growing up where things once strongly believed in, become things which children want to believe in, but feel like they can’t anymore because of their age, but does it also hold the key to something more? This a short and heartwarming story for all ages which keeps the magic of Christmas alive.

This book brought tears to my eyes. Our kids grow up so fast nowadays, it seems like they only believe in Santa for a few short years. I love how the book gives the child a way to choose if they want to believe of not. The illustrations were very nice and complimented the story very well. My 6 year old has been questioning whether Santa is real or not, I can’t wait to read this book to her.

Oh my! What a wonderful Christmas story. My oldest is out of the believing in Santa stage, and my 2 younger ones still believe in Santa. I haven’t read it to them for this reason. But now I have the perfect story to read to them when they get to the questioning stage. This book did such a great job answering, “Is Santa real?” while still keeping the magic alive. I’d like my kids to believe as long as possible, but also can’t wait to share this with them.

This book is a timeless tale of the time in a child’s life when they are caught between whether they should believe in Santa Claus or not. When Lucas’ friends tell him there is no such thing as Santa Claus Lucas asks his mom if Santa Claus is real. His mom lets him in on a secret and gives him the opportunity to be a Dream Keeper. But is Lucas ready for such an important job?

This book was wonderfully written, beautifully illustrated and does a beautiful job of describing the true magic of Christmas. This is a book that pulls at your heart strings and conjures up fond childhood memories of Christmas as a child when Santa was very much real, and the magic of the Christmas season was all around us. I could smell the gingerbread baking in the kitchen, hear the Christmas songs and was right there stringing popcorn. This book is sure to become a Christmas classic!

I loved this book. Lucas is having the same dilemma as every child who celebrates Christmas, is Santa real? This entire story, illustrations included, provide the perfect answer to children wondering this exact same question. Lucas learns thanks to his mother that he is the newest Dream Keeper for the next generation. This could be the next classic book to read to your in-between kids at Christmas time.

I have to say this is a good book for kids. It gives them a way to enjoy Christmas but understand more. I know for myself trying to explain Christmas and Santa to a child that’s coming of an age where they realize what it is, it’s hard. I really liked this book and I wish it was around when my kids were young. Give it a read you’ll see, it’s great !

I was lucky enough to have 3 of my grandchildren with me for a few days so grabbed this book as these 3 already are aware of there being no santa. I had them each read this separately and then we talked about it. Each of them loved it. One of them actually wished that when she found out that it had been just like it was handled in this story and they all 3 decided that that’s how they will think about it from now on. That was enough for me to write this review and rate it 5 stars. Have already recommended my daughters read this for when it’s time for the other younger ones to ask this question.

They really liked it!

This wonderfully written children’s book tells the story of a little boy, Lucas, as he tries to find the truth about Santa Claus. The illustrations are wonderfully drawn and really helped to capture my daughter’s attention as we read this story before bed.

This story does not give a quick yes or no answer to his question but rather explains a little of the magic of Santa. Lucas is invited to become the newest member of the Dream Keepers. I can see this becoming a holiday classic for kids for many years to come.

Such a cute coming of age Christmas tale. A young boy asks his mom if Santa is real. Mom explains the “truth” behind Santa and the spirit of giving and joy that is what Santa really is.
He’s not an old man with a beard in a red suit. The truth about Santa Claus is that he’s not a person at all; he’s an idea. This great little story, with beautiful illustrations, is the perfect way to help parents explain the truth behind Santa Claus and make their kids “Dream Keepers” too.

This was a really sweet story! I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, something a little different, but this was very sweet to read! I wanted to read it to my one year old daughter but this is a little too much for her understanding right now. I would say this could be a good story to read to maybe 4-6 year olds. I plan to read this to my daughter when she gets older. It has a great premise and the illustrations are beautiful. I think kids would really enjoy having this book read to them!

I was looking for a book that I could share with my son who is on the cusp of not believing in Santa. I wanted a fun way to tell him, but still needed a way for him to not spoil it for his younger brother. This book, like many of the Christmas stories and movies, starts with a friend telling the main character that Santa isn’t real. In this book the mom talks about the child being a dream keeper and that those believe keep the dream alive. The boy becomes a dream keeper so that his brother still believes. A great way to help tell your child about Santa, I just wish it was longer!
