I usually am not a fan of vampire books but this one most definitely peaked my interest. It’s mysterious, sexy and worth the read!
In this book, we meet Piper who is looking for a job and the search is getting desperate. The temp agency gives her the opportunity to work to be a housekeeper for a group of wealthy and conceited men.
Piper has to keep her job but feels compelled to keep her job when she breaks her employers’ priceless vase. The rich men have a deadly secret that they’ll do anything to protect it but Piper has to live through it.

Wow what a good read. If you like stories with vampires this is definately one for you.

Piper has been hired as a house maid. When she arrives she is surprised to find her boss or bosses are six men. Not only that they are 6 of the most attractive sexually appealing men she has ever seen.

Piper starts work and everything goes well until one night she uncovers her bosses secret and then everything makes sense( the not seeing them during the day, red bottles of liquid in the fridge that she assumed was a fitness drink).

Piper is shocked but doesnt leave her job. She learns more about their lives and gets closer to some of the brothers. However her happy existance changes when at a party she meet Valentine and he takes a liking to her.

Even though Antoine said he told Valentine she wasnt for sale, he seems to have other ideas.

The book was left on a cliff edge ending. Will the brothers fight to keep her or will Valentine get his way. I cant wait to read the next book and find out.

Indebted to the Vampires is the first book in the House of Durand Series by Erin Bedford. It is a paranormal romance story- a reverse harem fantasy, with vampires, drama, danger, tension, angst, suspense, and interesting characters.
This was my first read by Ms. Bedford, but she already had me at the mere mention of ‘vampires’. And even though Reverse Harem isn’t my go-to sub-genre, I was intrigued enough by the premise of the story to want to dive right in.
The story was fun, if not just a little predictable and corny in places. But it definitely entertained me right from the beginning. The characters were all really well developed individuals, with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They were an eclectic mix, but all added their own flavour to my reading experience.
There were a few minor editing issues with the story – punctuation problems, and the use of wrong words etc- but these issues didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the story. (Kindle edition- verified purchase on Amazon Au)
Piper Billings hasn’t had a very good run of late. She’s is in desperate need of a job, any job really. So, when the employment agency calls about a live-in cleaning position, Piper is in no position to refuse the offer. She arrives at the address, to find a sprawling mansion- and discovers that her new ‘bosses’ will be six mysterious, demanding, and quite ‘snooty’ brothers. Piper’s clumsy nature soon comes into play, when she accidentally smashes a priceless vase. So, with that, any thoughts she may have had about leaving are now out of the question, as she becomes indebted to her new employers. But things in the household are a little strange, her employers are entirely too mysterious and are definitely hiding something. Piper’s sassy and inquisitive nature is about to get her in trouble. What she discovers will turn her world upside down. But also places her in a bit of a sticky situation, because the House of Durand will go to extreme measures to protect their secret.
Join Piper, along with the Durand brothers, Antoine, Marcus, Wynn, Drake, Allister, and Rayne- and discover what happens for yourself.
I am invested in this story and the characters, so I will definitely be reading the rest of the series asap!

Thank you, Erin Bedford!

I give Indebted to the Vampires (House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford, 5 stars.

This is such a wonderful Paranormal Romance!! I literally could not put it down. Incredibly hot sexy vampires? Check. And not just one, but many. Throw in a clumsy girl with a healthy libido who badly needs this maid job, and you have a fun, quirky book that makes you feel happy reading it. Piper is just a real twenty-something most women could relate to at some point in their life. The brothers are all completely different from one another too. The author lets us see more about each one of them too, so we can better understand why they are the way they are. Not to mention that the story itself is different. I never would have thought for my main character to be a clumsy maid in a house full of vampires. Of course, there is much more going on then just this, like the attractions each one feels to Piper and vice versa. That is not all, but I do not want to give any more away.

If you like hot Paranormal Romance, this book is for you. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Indebted to the Vampires (The House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford. This is a fun, snarky read. Its the story of Piper who has lost her cushy job and is living in her car. She is on the last job interview with the temp agency so she has to make a good impression and boy does she. While at the interview she breaks a priceless vase. How can her life get any worse. She takes the job of being a maid to 6 hunky brothers but she doesn’t know that these hunky brothers are VAMPIRES! Piper is snarky, sarcastic and not afraid of anything but these brothers are weird. She is attracted to them all and the sexual tension oozes off the pages. The brothers are determined to keep their secret and they are not afraid to do anything to keep it. Will Piper be able to keep her job and more importantly her life? Read Indebted to the Vampires to find out!

Indebted to the Vampires (House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford is not only a paranormal romance story it is also a reverse harem fantasy. There are lots of vampire stories out there and it still amazes me that authors can come up with something different but that is exactly what Erin has done. The story is fun and entertaining and the characters were well developed individuals and with so many they each had their own quirks, crazy and flaws but that is what made the story. It is easy to read but it does need some revision done on the editing which slowed down the flow. I hated where it ended, it was just getting good and can’t wait for the next one.

What a read! Indebted to the Vampires Is my first read by Erin R. Bedford and after reading this I can’t wait to get my hands on the other books in the series.

I loved the characters that this author has created each of them stand out and you can’t help but be intrigued by the 6 gorgeous leading men! Piper was everything and more I love that she stood up for herself and always said what she wanted to say, she was witty, funny a bit clumsy but most of all she was herself and with that came the connections she made with the men. We can’t forget to mention Darren, while in the beginning, I was unsure of him, in the end, I think he is exactly the right person to kind of help Piper navigate this world that she finds herself in the middle of!
This was a brilliant captivating storyline from the start until the very end. It’s a mentally visual read which made it even more impossible to put down the read. I couldn’t get enough of the chemistry whether sexual, flirtatious, frustration and anger that came from the connections these characters made with each other, It was as though she has always known them! I loved that it was written in multiple POV’s as it really gave you a better insight into each character and their thoughts and real feelings.

My only issue was that ending! How could it end like that I can only imagine how book 2 will go! I have a feeling we are going to be in for another epic journey of suspense, action, sexiness and total brilliance of Piper!
I cannot wait!
I highly recommend this read!

OMG! Why did I not know about this book before now! I am always on the lookout for vampire books and I am so glad this one fell into my lap! This story! These vampires! That Maid! All so sassy and sexy. I devoured this book in a few hours! It’s one I read late into the night. Who was going to get the maid? What is she going to break next? Will Antoine ever smile? Will the vampire get earplugs? Ha ha that one just makes me smile. They shouldn’t listen to what they don’t want to know… right? Right?

Well this is a first time author for me. If you couldn’t tell…I LOVED this story and these characters! They are both lively. The story is engaging and easy to read with many ups and downs. I can not wait to dive into the second book to see what happens next.

Indebted to the Vampires by Erin Bedford is the first book in the House of Durand series. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I found it to be interesting.
I enjoyed reading about the main character. She was frustrating and imperfect which made her so much better to read about! It felt like she was more real because of this which meant that she was more relatable.
The overall story line was good. It kept you engaged throughout and definitely makes you want to read the next in the series. This was a great introduction to this author and it is a book I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.

Indebted to the Vampire by Erin Bedford a five-star read with bite. This is the first novel in the House of Durant series and shows us what a great series this is going to be. I did waver over this one as at times I was wondering if I would give it three stars, but then it would pull me back in and just make the story great again. Piper was just full of sass and spark, she made me smile and boy did she bring all the boys to the yard. Piper was so clumsy and has this amazing inner dialogue that will make you snort with laughter. I can not wait to sink my teeth into the next one of this series as mmmm these boys just have something a little extra and it’s not priceless vases.

5 stars!!

I love paranormal romance, and this book is so different from any others that I have read before. The characters are perfect, and I really like when each chapter tells me whose point of view the story is from. The chemistry between the characters is definitely there and the story is enticing. There are so many humorous scenarios as well. Piper is sassy and spunky and some of her quips are amusing, but at some points I wish she would just stay quiet for her own good. The six brothers all seem protective over her, knowing she is nothing like any of the other maids they have had before, she is not throwing herself at one or all of them. When their older vampire friend Valentine comes to visit, he takes a liking to Piper and now it seems like shit is about to hit the fan, and that is where we leave off with book one. I was so wrapped up in this story I was surprised when it ended. I can’t wait to read the next book of this series and look forward to seeing what becomes of Piper and which brother she ends up with…
I would highly recommend this book!

Piper is in desperate need of a job. When the temp agency sends her on this one, she’s not too happy to be a maid but takes it anyway. The live in position will help her stop living in her car. Cleaning house for a bunch of stuck up rich folk can’t be that bad, right? Stepping into the mansion was like stepping back in time. A butler even greeted her upon arrival. Unfortunately her clumsiness got the better of her and a Qing Dynasty vase became her victim. Piper becomes indebted to not one but five drop dead gorgeous brothers who will do anything to guard their secrets.

The thing that I liked the best about this book is that it’s a slow burn reverse harem. Piper had multiple fantasies about each throughout the book but nothing really happened. The buildup of anticipation is escalating and book two should be fantastic. Piper is headstrong, stubborn and klutzy. She becomes an interesting challenge to the Durand brothers. Each brother is unique in character, I loved them all. My favourite is probably Antoine. When those two connect, it will be electric. I gobbled up the story and before I knew it, I was finished the book. It ends on a cliffhanger which sucks but now I’m anticipating book two. I need to find out what happens. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I enjoyed her writing. I will definitely be searching for more books from her.

Erin Bedford is a new author to me. I love her writing style. It is full of details and characters that make the story come alive. The subject is about vampires. Piper works for a temp agency and is a maid. There is a secret among the people she works for and with, and she is trying to figure out how to keep her job. This book is not only a romance story, but a mystery as well. I recommend this story. Erin Bedford has made this story come to life in my mind while I was reading. There is a little bit of a cliffhanger but it keeps you on your toes and makes you want to read book 2 in the process.

I loved reading this book and tore through it honestly in about 2 hours because I was so enticed by it. Erin R Bedford write this seemingly normal story that turns into this exciting, steamy story with all these twists and turns as you get to know all the characters throughout the story. You get to see why they are the way they are and why they make each decision. I think my favourite in the main character because shes so strong as sassy. She stands up for herself even though throughout the book it does get her into trouble but its admiring none the less. I’m very excited to read the next book she writes in the series!

Indebted to the Vampires (House of Durand book 1) by Erin Bedford is a 4 star read.
Piper Billings is a little down on her luck, she lost her job and ended up sleeping in her car so when an employment agency sends her for a live in maid position she knows she must do what she can to keep this job especially after she breaks a 15 million dollar vase. The six incredibly good looking men who live in the house aren’t making her job easy, when she finds out they’re vampires she’s not sure whether to run or stay and wonder if they will bite her. This book ends on a cliffhanger but don’t worry the rest of the series is already out.
I felt this book was a little slow to start but I couldn’t stop turning the pages, the author knew how to keep you interested and leave you wanting more.

Indebted To The Vampires by Erin Bedford. Piper is down on her luck having lost her apartment, living out of her car and flitting between jobs, she is given a final offer from the temp agency she needs to make this work. Working as a maid in the House of Durand is not at all as she expected, her bosses are unusual to say the least but also very Hot!! I absolutely love this book, Piper is anything but the perfect maid she breaks things, trips on thin air and has just the right amount of sass. She sure has caught the attention of all six brothers in the Durand household. Such a easy read, I finished this book in a few hours, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

By Erin Bedford
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the story Indebted to the Vampires (The House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford. I love vampire stories, and this is a good example of the reason why. I loved reading about Piper. She is in need of a job and so takes one from the temp agency as a maid. I liked that Piper is a woman who is not afraid to speak her mind, even if what she says does at times get her into hot water. Her wit had me either smiling or laughing out loud. She soon finds out that her current employers have a secret. What could happen if she finds out their secret? This story has some steamy moments that will make the temperature in the room rise. Piper’s employers are mysterious, handsome, and charming. The book is told from Piper’s and her employer’s POV. The story has a sensual atmosphere and kept me turning pages to find out what would happen next. The author has done a wonderful job of writing a story that made me feel like I was right there with Piper and the other characters. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that you will not want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended reading.
