After reading House Valdis Origins: Xenobia I knew this was going to be a uniquely addicting series. The blend of science fiction and fantasy in the books makes everything feel new and exciting! From vampires to ghosts to aliens they all have a refreshing twist. Just like the series itself, completely unexpected and unpredictable! Xen is such an entertaining character to get to know and each page just flies by with fast paced action and intrigue! I would highly suggest reading these books in order (starting with the prequel) to understand and fully take in Naomi Valkyrie’s amazing world!

I never hesitate to pick up any work from this author because they always take me on such an unforgettable adventure! It was a phenomenal quick read for my day. I couldn’t believe how perfectly the author balanced the length of the book with the development of the plot and characters! I have read the prequel and the first book in the series, so I was ecstatic to pick this up and dive right in. I will say that it should not be read as a standalone or you will likely get quite confused with the storyline and characters. I usually have a difficult time with books that have more than two points of view, but this was an exception to the rule. It’s told from multiple points of view, and I absolutely loved it. Xenobia has such huge responsibilities while they try to make things better for the people she loves. I don’t want to give anything away, but the amount of unpredictability in this book is a major win for me! I am crossing my fingers that the author gives us more to this series. If you love dark, paranormal fantasy books, don’t pass this one up!

This is the second book in the series. That being said, if you have not read the first book this one may be hard to follow and you will not have all of the storyline. I loved the first book so when I got my hands on this book it took me no time to devour. The characters are super complex with so many facets and the storyline will suck you in with all of its twists and turns. I highly recommend reading this whole series.

Make sure you have read the first book and honestly the prequel will help too. This is a wonderful witty sci fi series. I truly love being immersed in this world. It is also a fairly quick read as well. Seeing Xenobia and her growth from the prequel to now, I loved it.

I so enjoyed this next story of the series. This book had some really interesting twists as we continue to watch Xenobia and her friends as they try to build their community. I found the story interesting and liked the building of relationships between the characters. The story kept me interested from beginning to end and I look forward to reading the next book.

It Comes From Within, by Naomi Valkyrie, is the second book to the House Valdis series. I highly recommend reading the first book prior to beginning this story, along with the short prequel House of Valdis Origins: Xenobia, as it gives you a comprehensive look into Xenobia’s former life. The author struck gold again with It Comes From Within. I felt like this story held up very strong alongside the previous book, which I also very much enjoyed. The creativity put into crafting this world of Xenobia and her friends held me captive from beginning to end. There are a lot of elements weaved into the story, which surely can appeal to many types with genre preferences. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a book full of fantasy and adventure showcasing an exciting storyline with well-developed characters. I will be keeping an eye out for another installment!

It Comes From Within is Book Two in The House Valdis Series. It is a polyamorous urban sci fi fantasy filled with action, danger, mystery, suspense, secrets, lies, drama, romance, friendship, vampires, shifters, aliens, magic, and paranormal. This book picks up where the first book left off, so I highly recommend reading Book One first. It will introduce you to the characters as well as give you each of their backstories. Xenobia is struggling with her new leadership as she tries to merge House Valdis with the former House Muerte. The stakes are high and the merging of the two houses comes with a great deal of responsibility that she does not feel prepared for. As if that is not enough, Xenobia is faced with a new enemy, the White queen, who is determined to create her own den of vampires and become ruler at all costs. The story is told from the POV of numerous characters which enables the reader a deeper understanding of each of them. A fast paced, action-packed, rollercoaster ride that leaves you breathless in anticipation of the next book. This author never fails to deliver a fantastic story!

It Comes From Within is the second book of theHouse Valdis. I HIGHLY suggest you go check out the first book and also the prequel before reading this on, that way you have a full understanding of what’s happening and how Xenobia started out. This one takes place six months after the last book. This is also told from Multiple perspectives which is awesome so you know just how everyone’s feeling and thinking throughout the whole book. Having read and enjoyed the previous books in this series I was looking forward to being back with Xenobia and co and I was not disappointed. The storyline continues and it is six months since Xenobia took over and the stress of the House Valdis expansion is starting to show. Xen is determined to show the former House Muerte members that she is not at all like their former Master. However, her good intentions have lead to insurrection, and an unsanctioned blood den is discovered, along with an unexpected enemy being revealed. This leads Xen to reminisce but her memories can either haunt her or give her the solution she needs for victory. Once again I was transported into the urban fantasy/paranormal world of the House Valdis, and the descriptive narrative brings the setting vividly to life. I love the quirky and unique characters and I enjoy the multiple POV’s as it makes me feel engaged with all the characters. The LGBTQ relationship dynamics add to the story and the fast paced, exciting plot kept me hooked throughout.

This is the second book in the series but technically the third if you read the prequel. This book continues the saga of what the other books started and the vivid imagery that the author describes things really allows for you to be able to picture everything. This book is well written and sucks you in from the beginning. If you haven’t read the other books that is fine, you will be a little lost but the book definitely makes up for it and you won’t really notice. However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t read all of the books. You won’t be disappointed if you do. The characters are really strong and make this story everything it needs to be. I normally am not a fan of sci-fi but this reader makes me want to be one so badly. I feel like I am just fan-girling with this author at this point. If you want to be swept away into a different realm and meat amazing characters this series is for you. Naomi Valkyrie did it again. Book 2 continues the story of Xenobia. There are new characters introduced that help grow the story and progress it further. The growth of Xenobia from book 1 into and throughout book 2 is fantastic. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

After Xenobia and her crew took out Javier and Kade in the first book of this series, she acquired the house that was led by Kade. She thought that things would finally settle down after all the small details were sorted and the members loyal to Kade weeded out. Little did she know that this was just the beginning of something bigger and badder coming their way.
A secret blood den ran by someone calling themselves the White Queen has emerged and is creating new vampires in the process. It’s up to Xen to shut it down if she wants peace within her house. She is also still trying to get a hang of the bond she formed with Matt and Onyx, maintain a relationship with Chi, train the girls who have different powers thanks to Xens blood, while having forgotten memories emerge. One more thing and Xenobia may just fall apart. She has to tap into her mental strength to be able to take all this on, luckily she is not alone this time.
I have said it before and I will say it again… I love love LOVE this author. They have such a weird and unique perspective that reflects in all of their writing. Nothing like reading about a badass female main character who can take on the world and never give up. Not to mention all of the different supernatural beings and elements added in!
I also really like how the author is taking the relationship between Xenobia and the men really slow. It shows the character arc of slowly gaining trust after being abused in the past. It also shows patience and loyalty on the men’s side of things. I am a huge fan of this whole polyamorous thing they have going on.

After reading book 1 and the prequel, I was so excited to get to read book 2 in this riveting series. We find Xen still struggling from the events of book 1. I am always such a fan of multiple POV’s so we can see what the other characters are thinking and feeling. This is a fast paced story with so much intrigue and danger lurking around every corner. Xen is dealing with the White Queen who wants her gone so she can rule and someone she trusted betrays her. Xen has to work quickly to try and keep herself and everyone she cares about safe. I am really enjoying this series and I feel like it does such a great job of blending the supernatural and making it feel realistic. Can’t wait for the next book!

Again the second book in this series pulls you in from the beginning. The story does flow very well from one point of view to the others. I love how all of the main characters are integrated together especially Matthew, Xen, and Onyx. This book is very unique, I’ve never read one like this, I would highly recommend it. Plus, it’s a very easy read and has you wanting more.

Not the book ending on a cliff hanger of that magnitude. I was sucked in and didn’t even realize I reached the end. The villain of the book took me by complete surprise but in hindsight it shouldn’t have. This was the best installment so far. The characters are fantastic. There isn’t a dull point in the book. It Comes From Within is Book 2 in the House Valdis series and I highly recommend reading the prequel along with the first book as this story is the continuation…. and wow…..just when I thought I had it figured out. This author continues to be one of my favorites and the thought of the whole storyline along weaving in all of the details…I am totally amazed. Told in multiple POV’s, which I love to really get to know all the characters and how they come into play in this book… I can only hope that maybe there will be another book……fingers crossed.
Xenobia has so much riding on her shoulders. Protecting the ones that she loves, there is an imminent threat and trying to figure out whom is behind it all. With Matthew, Onyx, Chi there are multiple connections. The merge of two houses is a LOT…and Xen is trying not to feel that it is to much. With illegal blood den and secrets….trust if a big issue….especially feeling betrayal. Having the White Queen on your heels and lurking in the shadows…will Xen be able to protect everyone she cares about and will she find out the true identity of the White Queen….
I highly recommend this series…it is fantastic. The twists and turns had me turning the pages and glued to the story-line.

It Comes From Within is the second book in the House Valdis series. I’d recommend beginning with the prequel, House Valdis Origins: Xenobia, as that provides vital background to this story. I’ve enjoyed many books by this author, who consistently delivers exciting and original urban fantasy stories with LGBT+ characters, and the House Valdis series is certainly no exception!
Xenobia is settling into her role at the head of the newly expanded House Valdis. She needs to strike a balance between doing what she can to protect and help those she loves, and not pushing herself too far. The growing threat from rogue vampires needs attention from her and her friends, before it gets out of hand.
I like that in this book we have more relationships developing between side characters. It’s good to see more of them, and have a broader spectrum of romances! The narrative shifts between multiple points of view, sometimes just for a page or two, so we get to see the perspectives of many characters on the story. Some of my favourites are Sylvia and Ezrah, who both get to play important parts in this story!
I’m looking forward to reading more from House Valdis! The story comes to a satisfying conclusion but there are still questions for a subsequent book to answer.
This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend the series to paranormal romance fans looking for something with plenty of familiar characters and tropes, but also loads of original ideas to spark your imagination!

This continues the story from The Rise of Valdis. I would suggest you read the prequel and Book 1. The story is very good. The characters will hold your interest through the whole story. I find it interesting that they can enchant themselves to loook like normal people. I really enjoyed the story. It’s action, romance, a bit of everything.

This is the 2nd book in the House of Valdis series and we get a little more of Xenobia’s backstory. You really do need to read the prequel and the 1st book in order to fully understand what’s going on as we pick up roughly 6 months after the 1st book ends. I love the multiple POV’s we get in each chapter as it really allows you to relate to the different characters and gain insights that you otherwise wouldn’t have. This is a quick read and I can’t wait to see what Valkyrie has in store for Xenobia in the future.

Must read prequel and book one first. This book picks up six months after the events of book one, The Rise of House Valdis. The author does it once again. Multiple perspectives give you every detail and angle of the story as the twists reveal themselves and Mistress Xenobia and her House fight to keep their territory. Xenobia never wanted to be a leader, while large parts of her memories are missing the goal remains, to protect women and to keep those she has adopted as family safe. Matthew, Onyx, and Chi at her side an unexpected White Queen is behind it all. A memory unlocks itself and Xen is at a loss on what other important memories she is missing, and why are they missing. Merging two houses isn’t easy and Xen is drowning in the chaos that the White Queen is weaving. Valkyrie continues to impress with her ability to weave an involved storyline with complex characters and not lose track of the big picture. This continuation from book one definitely picks up where the first ended and is best appreciated if read in series order. You won’t fully appreciate the brilliance of the author’s words without book one – and brilliance is what you find in these pages. I love how Valkyrie has grounded these characters even within the fantasy/paranormal genre. Go ahead and pick up the origin story and book one when you grab this book. Once you start I promise you will want it all.

The story picks up after book one ends. Xenobia has a lot to deal with since taking over House Muerte. As in any takeover, some join willingly whereas others cause problems. Between that and trying to handle the mind link, Xenobia is exhausted. A new evil has stepped up trying to take over causing more stress for her.
Though the book is short, a lot happens within these pages. Drama and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. The author throws in a few surprises to keep you on your toes. I enjoyed everything except for the ending. It ends a bit abrupt but I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Is the second book in the series by Naomi Valkyrie this follows the events of the pervious book. This book tell a story from multiple POV and has really good character development. Naomi characters are all very unique and have their own quirks. With a multitude of fantasy creature what an what can go right or what can go wrong.

I absolutely loved this book. I became completely invested when I read the first book and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Xenobia feels overwhelmed and stressed. This book is filled with unexpected twists, danger, action, suspense, and so much more. As soon as I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I found myself on the edge of my seat at times. The author does an exceptional job and draws you into this complex storyline without confusing you. There are so many wonderful characters in this story, some you will love and some you won’t. It’s my advice to read the first book before diving into this one. This book is original and intriguing, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

It Comes From Within (House Valdis Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie is one of those stories that you start in the middle and then you get the backstory later. Like Star Wars. In this second book of the House Valdis series, we finally get a taste of Xenobia’s backstory. In the house of Valdis there is a collection of imperfect misfits misplaced souls that are living and working together just trying to have a family like situation. To be sure there is a mystery to be solved and at the center of that mystery is Xenobia’s past. This is an easy quick read that will whet your appetite for more of Xenobia’s story. Do be aware there are some alternate lifestyle themes cause, you know, different strokes for different folks. This is a good second book and I’m expecting the next one to surpass this one.

It Comes From Within is the second book in the House Valdis Series by Naomi Valkyrie. I highly recommend reading the first book if you haven’t already. I simply loved this book and couldn’t put it down until I finished. Xenobia is back and determined to prove she’s not like previous leaders , but what will happen when blood den is found? I loved this paranormal/fantasy and the characters were all very well written. Find out what happens next in this must read . I look forward to reading more from this Author.
