It Comes From Within (House Valdis Series) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Stephanie Runyon

It Comes From Within (House Valdis #2)It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Xenobia has her hands full since she has taken over House Muerte without learning that a new blood den has been formed. She has Chiamaka’s request to give his conduit, Ezrah, her blood, and then his request for Xenobia to become his conduit. Matthew and Onyx are present in her room at all times, and their linking invades her mind constantly. Beyond this, Sybil has begun having visions of the victims of a vampire attack. Onyx goes undercover, bringing Sylvia with him so she can teleport if they get into a bind. When challenged to drink Sylvia’s blood, he discovers her addictive secret. Meanwhile, Audrey has been monitoring Emberly’s nightmares, and they have started a relationship. Emberly convinces Audrey to take her to the blood den. She has plans for the rogue vampires to go out in a blaze of glory.
Naomi Valkyrie’s It Comes From Within continues the tale of Xenobia’s struggle to remain a pacifist. She is afraid of her power, which she believes makes her a mass murderer. The exceptional detail and various character views add depth to the unpredictable plot. The suspense, witty remarks, and intrigue made this novel difficult to put down. I was able to envision every moment with vivid descriptions. I have read the previous books in the series, and they just keep getting better. There are no dull moments to be found on any page, and the book is, without a doubt, well worth a five-star rating.
