My brothers, cousins, and I have decided we’re the last of the family line. The curse ends with us.
And then I go and find my mate – something none of us thought possible. But I can’t pursue Faith and get her tangled up in our mess, no matter how much I want her.

After my father’s death, I run to the only place I ever felt safe. Out here in the middle of nowhere, no one knows me or what I’ve done. I intend to use this fresh start to reinvent myself and heal.
Then I meet Jericho, and I can’t stop thinking about him. Despite the obvious connection between us, our relationship would crash and burn if he ever found out my secret.
Unfortunately, he’s the only one I can turn to when the past shows up to destroy my life.

This is a supernatural m/m with some romance without the in depth spice and keeping family together vibe. I loved the spookiness of the manor and the secret behind it. As well as the manner of Mordecia that despite his natural instincts he still seems protective and gentle with Lucifer. Lucifer was brave enough to embrace the adventure and life despite his mothers passing which also brought in some life to the manor despite it starting as vengeance.
I always love dual point of views. Even though this is a dual main character book there are other characters heavily involved. I enjoyed this quick read and was invested in their stories. I would like to read the pov’s to the other characters as well! It’s also the perfect time of year to read this one! Halloween time frame! Love it! Can’t wait to read more by Naomi

So far everything I have read by this author has been good. Her writing style has a way of pulling you in and keeping you hooked. Quinnland is a vampire who had a second chance at love, but there is a catch. He has to find his fated mate within three days. Will he find his mate and get a second chance at not only life but happiness?

I don’t know how she does it. Little “bites” (pun intended) of stories, but filled with so much they don’t leave you lacking. I just want to consume (oops, not intended) every single book Naomi has written. They are fun, entertaining, quick reads that make you want to “devour” (also intended) them in one sitting. Her storytelling is unmatched. Her stories are magical and paranormal, but they are unique. They are always full of witty banter and loveable characters. They suck (okay last one I swear) you in, bring you into their world, and leave you satisfied.

The Final Bite by Naomi Valkyrie is another wonderful MM paranormal romance with high stakes. I seem to just devour every single book by this author, and this is absolutely no exception. A gripping and unique read that while short, will absolutely blow you away. I adored the different take on the second chance/fate countdown trope. I’ll never pass up a Naomi Valkyrie book, and I definitely recommend you don’t either!

I love a good book I can read in just a few hours. It’s even better when it can be seductive without all the messy details. The characters are fantastic. There were moments of suspense but in the end I finished with a laugh. I absolutely loved this story.

My mother’s final wish was for me to embrace life and live it to the fullest. I intend to do just that. Despite the town gossip touting the dangers, and my best friend’s admonishments, I set my sights on uncovering the mystery surrounding the men of Eden Cove Manor.
After a confrontation with Mordecai – one of the hot, mysterious Manor men – he’s determined to teach me a lesson. But I’m determined not to let him win the game he’s playing.
Mordecai is running out of time.
I’m running out of fight.
I set out to find answers and got more than I bargained for.
Am I about to become the next secret of Eden Cove Manor?
MORDECAI
Lucifer is a nosy, impulsive, reckless brat. And I’m loathed to admit that I’m drawn to his chaotic energy.
At first, my only intention is to torment him for violating our privacy, but then I discover he may be the answer we’ve been searching for.
Can I convince him he’s the missing piece to our centuries old puzzle before it’s too late?

The Final Bite by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Britney Humphreys 5 stars!
I honestly did not know if I would like this book. I love paranormal romance and romantasy, but MM is not normally in my TBR. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The narrator is the sassy vampire Quinnlan, and I love that the author has him speak to the reader. It’s not something I see frequently, but it definitely helped suck me into the story.
At forty-four pages, this is a quick read, and I admit that I wish it were a little longer. I’d love to learn more about paranormal purgatory. Every ten years one lucky individual is chosen to be sent back to Earth. The catch? They have to find their mate. The hard part? They only have three days to do it. Yikes. I’ve been through multiple husbands, and they were all wrong after years…I’d be sent right back to purgatory at the end of those three days.
I’d happily read more books by this author, and I feel like this is a good book for those (like me) who are first-time readers of MM romance. Also, the epilogue neatly wraps things up, so you’re not left with a hangover or wondering what happens with the characters in the future!
This is a really good book. I feel like the author was able to cram so much information into this book, that it really could have lasted longer. It is a very quick read and an amazing short story. There is so much depth logged onto the pages that you don’t really notice how short of a story it is. This book will definitely leave you craving for more. There are so many different paranormal things happening in this book that it could really take you anywhere at any given moment. There are vampires, werewolves, witches and romance. The magic that these characters have and the suspense that they are involved in is what kept me turning the pages. The romance didn’t feel forced but really flowed well with the story line. This book is just really well written and I can’t wait to read more. Reviewed by: @bbohls

“Fate, Frankincense, and Funerals” by Naomi Valkyrie is a paranormal romance which follows the ife changing experience of Acheron, a Vulture shifter who sees over the funeral rites of others, making his a pariah amongst the rest of society. One fateful day, he is tasked with a special request to leave the town he and his fellow Vulture shifters live to perform the rites for an unknown practitioner. While fighting an inner battle, Acheron managed to change his life, potentially changing the entire structure of their society through the power of acceptance and love.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The fluff was adorable, and even the one spicy scene was incredibly sweet. Would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal fluff.

Quinnlan has been given a second chance from the paranormal gods – if he can find a mate that accepts him in the next 3 days, he will not have to return to purgatory. When he is dumped at a motel in the middle of nowhere, his chances of finding a mate are bleak. However, thanks to some werewolves wreaking some havoc, he is forced to choose on saving a man’s life and potentially creating a bond with someone who could reject him. Does he save a life and risk returning to purgatory? Or letting him die and continuing on his quest before time runs out?
This was a quick m/m paranormal read that I enjoyed reading. It is a different twist in the paranormal realm that was unique and made for a good story.

I really enjoyed this book. Although it’s a short MM paranormal romance it’s an intriguing story. The Gods give you a second chance at life as long as you find a mate that accepts you in three days or back to purgatory. I like the characters and the chemistry between the characters. The story flowed well and was fast paced. I only wish it was a longer book and I look forward to reading more stories by this author.

What a fun and unique prequel! With only sixty-six pages this paranormal romance flew by. Acheron and Errapel deserve the happiest of ever afters and I hope Naomi Valkyrie expands on this intriguing world she’s created! Even though the book is short she includes tons of details and vivid imagery in her writing! I would love to and need to know more about Valkyrie’s amazing world!
Every ten years, the gods choose a paranormal being who has been unjustly killed and offers them a second chance at life. The catch? They must take a mate, and they only have three days to do it.
Oh, and they can only choose once. If the person they choose for a mate rejects them – it’s straight back to paranormal purgatory.
Fortunately for me, I, Quinnlan Trinity, am the chosen one.
Unfortunately for me, the trickster gods must have gotten into the mix because they drop me at an abandoned motel in the middle of nowheresville with three days’ worth of clothing, sans underwear, and a wad of cash. Seriously?
I’ve got two days left when I find a guy bleeding out, thanks to a suspicious group of wolf shifters. I could save him, but if I do, that means choosing him as my mate and risking rejection. Is he the one? Or, by saving him, am I dooming myself to a trip back to the afterlife?

This book was a very unique read about fated mates and the path that they had to take to be together. What a wonderful story of a woman’s passing, and the final act of kindness that she was able to bring about as her dying wish. The fact that this story contains jackals, vultures, and other shapeshifters was so cool, I really enjoyed reading this short story. This had such a great moral to the story that no matter how different people may be, what truly matters is that we stand up for what we believe in, be a part of the change for good, and follow our hearts wherever they may lead us. If you like to read paranormal romances, I highly recommend reading this short story by the amazing Naomi Valkyrie. Acheron is a Vulture Shifter, an outcast that has been shunned by other shifters for touching the dead. Someone has to though, right? He has been feeling restless as of late but has the opportunity to travel to the town of Mandara at the request of a dying soul. There he meets Clarissa, the dying soul that requested his presence, and Errapel who happens to be his mate. Acheron follows the rules and one of the major ones is that he should never take a mate. How can fate have played such a cruel joke? Will Acheron and Errapel get a happily ever after? This was a quick read that can be read in about 30 minutes. I have read a few other books by this author, even under another pen name, and they were all good. I enjoy the writing style and how she described these characters. There was a lot packed into roughly 60 pages and I wanted more once it ended. I will hold out hope for a longer version.
Acheron is a vulture shifter and he is going to the city on a mission but he must be careful as his kind is not wanted in the city. Yet Acheron feels a pull to the city that he cannot ignore. When Acheron meets Errapel he realizes just what has called to him. This is an interesting book that dealt with different shifters than I am used to. I found the journey that Acheron and Errapel go on an engaging read. The two are good together and it was nice to see the way their bond builds. It was nice to be along for the ride as the two decide if they are going to grab and hold on to what they could have or let it slip through their fingers. Their story is a quick read that pulls you into the world and its characters leaving you wanting to return to this world for more from these characters.
Fate, Frankincense, & Funerals by Naomi Valkerie is a short but interesting MM fantasy romance. While a quick read, I enjoyed the twists and the unique Shifter types you don’t see often! I do wish there was more, as several things intrigued me about Acheron, Errapel, and Carissa, as well as the way their world reacted to them. I can’t ever seem to put down Naomi’s books, and always look forward to seeing more from her!
Fate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie. I love Naomi Valkyrie so I knew this book would be great and I was not wrong! Its the story of Acheron a vulture shifter who feels a very strong pull to the city that he’s forbidden to go to. When he gets there he realizes its Errapal. Errapal is a nurse to the dying and I know I’ve been sent to help him. My attraction to Errapal is out of this world and I can’t deny it even though Vulture Shifters are forbidden to take a mate. As they spend more and more time together Acheron is more in love with Errapal than ever. Can they fight society and win to be able to be together? This is a great Paranormal romance that is steamy as can be. Its also very short so if you are like me you will fly through it in no time! Read this amazing story to find out what happen!
Fate, Frankincense and Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie Archeron is the main character of the story. He is a vulture shifter who according to the rules of their society must never choose a mate or life partner. He is sent to help someone transition to death. This is what he is born to do. He takes the job despite the fact that it’s breaking All the rules, and leaving the area that he’s meant to stay in. When he gets there he meets her nurse (Errapel). Together they navigate this transition. This is a love story and also a story of fighting your own dreams. This story does have minor mention of m/m physical relations. It’s not prominent as the main story is about their love for one another. It flows nicely and the characters are developed well for the most part. It does leave enough open to where there could be a sequel. Which could give some questions if there is no sequel. The story went much quicker than I thought it would go and before I knew it I had finished it. Overall, I enjoyed the story and the way that I was written. It was very easy to read. Would enjoy reading the sequels if they are written.

Another fantastic read from this author!! This is a short stand alone book, but I’m hoping she will continue on with this story and these characters. There are so many more ways to extend these characters, their beliefs, their way of life, and a lot of the ways and why’s of the different characters. This is an M/M romance that’s paranormal with werewolves and shifters and so much more. I found myself wanting to know more about the different rituals surrounding this book. So, so good!!

Another great book by Naomi Valkyrie. My only complaint is I wanted more story, more explanation of why things were the way they were. I really enjoy the way this author writes. I really liked Acheron and was hoping to learn more about vulture shifters and their roles. Normally this author doesn’t write too steamy of love scenes, but I was glad she went a little more in that direction this time. As always, I highly recommend this book and any book from this author.
