Holy Smokes! I have become a fan for life of this author’s work. Her books consist of strong characters that overcome severe challenges. This one does not fail to meet those requirements. The characters make you think. The plot is so realistic. it could apply to anyone. I personally love how they all intertwine and work together. Another winner with a POW cliffhanger.

Dakota Willink did a superb job with wrapping up this amazing trilogy.

Cassie is welcomed by a coven and feels the love of family for the first time. She is still being hunted by her brother who wants to drag her home. She will do anything for that not to happen and she does. Watch what you wish for. This was a great story and a quick easy read. I want to read more of the continuing story of Cassie and Nick who are destined to be together.

I love YA books and this was no exception. I read it in one sitting I enjoyed it so much. Took me back to high school and first love that the world revolves around. Hadley is a down to earth teenager, that has a lot of doubt and insecurities that most of us experience as we mature and discover who we are and who we want to be. She has changed schools and went from having one good friend to finding a circle of friends she regularly hangs out with. But can she trust everyone in that circle? I enjoyed how Hadley struggles with finding who her true friends are and finding connections that were kind of a surprise. She is in love with Nick and I love how their story was sweet and innocent and didn’t just jump in to physical relations. I feel like a lot of high school stories now are all about drinking, drugs, and sex. It was a beautiful story that I would read again.

I love it when a sequel is just as good or even better than the first.
After the exciting end of the first book I just had to jump into the second book and I’m really happy to say that I love it more than the first.
the characters have definitely grown from the first book and their relationship is soooooo complicated but in a good way.
Well done Dakota!!!
The narrator has grown on me from the first.

Author Amy Mckinley is one of my favorite authors, she always takes us places we all want to be in such detail. Not all of us get the chance to visit other countries and reading is one of the easiest ways to do that. This is why I like authors that can transport us there without much effort. It is one of the reasons why I love to read, she gives us such a sense of being there and adding great characters along the way just add to our enjoyment.

Avenging Devil

Satan’s Devils MC
San Diego
By Manda Mellett
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
This is a full length MC novel. You will find romance as well as survival. Not for the faint heart or those under 18, due to the adult theme. Also you may want to start from the beginning and read each book in order of the series. Taking the time to get to know each character.

This is Niran and Saffie’s story. Saffie has run from the man she calls husband. Living in hiding and never feeling safe. She is unbelievably strong. When she comes across Niran, she feels safe but keeps her distance in order to remain in hiding. She wants nothing to do with MCs or those who belong to them. Niran is in a MC, Satan’s Devils to be exact. He has a kind heart and is always willing to help others. When he finds Saffie scared and crying, he goes to her rescue. But will Saffie let him help? Will Niran be the help she needs? Will they be safe and will the Satan’s Devils come to help?

Manda Mellett has done it once again. This story will draw you in and keep you reading. The knowledge she holds about MCs is unbelievable. I love Niran and Saffie, as well as the other characters. The emotional Rollercoaster was incredible and Dark at the same time. Be prepared to put your emotions on your sleeve. Worst of all, this book ends in a cliffhanger. Now I need to wait for part two of Niran and Saffie’s incredible story. Well Done Manda Mellett! Well Done!

What a tangled web we weave! Wow this story is all engrossing! It really kept me turning those pages. This has characters that made me go “Ewww”! And others that I just couldn’t understand their mindset. But they made the story entertaining.

This is a first time author for me and I enjoyed her thrilling story. I was grossed out a time or two and I thank for author for not being too graphic. She stuck to the main focus of the story instead of veering off. I will keep an eye out for more from this author

Avenging Devil Part 1 (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #3) by Manda Mellett

Avenging Devil Part One is the third book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego . This Author never ceases to amaze me with her attention to detail and ability to grab your attention and don’t let go till the end. I’m a huge fan of MC and Manda Mellett knocks it out of the park every time. This book left me speechless and breathless. The things Saffie has went through shredded me. I was literally crying hard and mad I wanted protect her. This is a much darker story than some of her other books and may be a trigger for some so proceed with caution. I don’t want to give up to much so I’m just going to say grab a copy of this book today. I highly recommend it and if you haven’t started this series I recommend reading them as well. What would you do if your past came crashing down on the present? What happens when things get a tad dangerous? Find out what happens next in this must read and ill fore warn you it ends on a cliffhanger and I wanted to throw my kindle. I don’t know if I can wait a month I need it now. I as always look forward to reading more from this Author.

Grumbler’s Ride (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Shelly Kittell

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grumbler is an old MC member who thinks he will be a loner for life. No women, no family, no nothing. His biggest attachment is to his bike. Some strange photograph tells Grumbler that he wants to take pictures of his bike for a photo shoot, “pimp his ride.” After a bit of deliberation, Grumbler decides to do this. He meets Mary, mom of a rebellious teen and bonds with her later over issues with the photographer. Grumbler finds that his heart melts around Mary. Some family drama that involves Grumbler and the MC grows exponentially and brings them together as the MC’s worth together to stop the douchebag photographer. Manda Mellett does such a good job of portraying the MC’s as more of a realistic group that SOA. I thoroughly enjoy these books because Ms. Mattett makes the authors feel realistic. You can feel their joy and their pain. This was a very hard plot but I was definitely rooting for the MC.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Arsonists Handbook by L.A. Detwiler a gripping four-star read. This was my first read by this author, but it wont be the last, there was enough drama and intrigue to keep you hooked, and enough story to keep you wondering. It was the torment that got to me, it was too well done, and that’s weird as normally I love it, but my heart was in my stomach as I was reading it made me feel like it was too real, too deep. This is a story that will stay with you, it will hook you and leave you burning.

Avenging Devil Part 1: Satan's Devils MC San DiegoAvenging Devil Part 1: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Avenging Devil Part 1 by Manda Mellett is book three of Satan’s Devils MC San Diego. To get the full experience, the books should be read in order but this book can be read without books one and two. This book does end on a cliffhanger but totally worth it!

Saffie strength knows no bounds. Even when it seems like she’s broken beyond repair, she keeps going. Niran feel an indescribable pull to protect her. They forge a friendship even though Saffie is rightfully wary of people. Saffie finding out Niran is part of the MC scares her but she soon realizes that she’d much rather face her past with Niran by her side. Saffie thinks she may finally be in a good place in life but the twists keep coming.

I this this book may have been my favorite out of all the Satan’s devils books. The subject matter was difficult but the book was so well written. Saffie is so strong and Niran is such a good guy! I can’t wait for the next book!

Avenging Devils Part 1 by Manda Mellett a sublime five-star read. This is the third story in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series, and there is a part two coming very soon I hope, as I can understand why the author had to split this story, there is no way you could fit it all in, it’s a very deep and dark story and I have loved everything by this author and I loved this, but it did take me longer than normal to read as I had to breathe so many times. I was broken on behalf of Saffie, no one should have so many knocks, but my goodness does it make a sublime story. This is intense and so well done, you won’t love everyone but that just makes this story so much deeper, bring on part two!!

Confessions of a Sophomore Prankster by Danielle Jacks a fantastic five-star read. This is number six in the Frat House confessions series, but they can all be read as stand-alone, but I do plan on checking some of the other authors out to see how they take their spin. Setter is so much more than you first think, he is adorable, in his own little way. Normally he would be someone I wouldn’t like much on the surface, but the more you get to know him the easier he gets. Casey I understood from the off, and I just adored her every moment, felling her sadness and crossing everything for her in my own crazy way. Do not miss this funny, sweet and so much more story.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Avenging Devil is part one in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series by the endlessly talented Manda Mellett. Her characters and stories constantly captivate and impress the reader. This one ends in a cliff hanger, so be prepared to be kept in suspense and in anticipation of part two.

Niran meets Saffie while performing an important duty. He felt various mixed emotions, some good, some not, but he could not leave her be. He became her saviour. Saffie had discovered her knight. Until she learnt about the real Niran. Her past was horrific, and it would take a man of relentless strength and stamina to be able to help her overcome her demons. Niran was that man. Their dance was monumental. The intensity between them immeasurable. The passion scorching. The tension combustible. The yearning supreme. Their hunger for each other was insatiable. The story was fraught with terror, but Niran valiantly took up the challenge. What more is in store for this couple? We are left craving the next part of their story. I was blown away by part one. Part two is going to totally wreck me. Blissfully so. 5 stars

Competing with the Star by Krysten Lindsay Hagar a fab four-star read. This is number two in the Star series and its best to read them in order as they do follow on the story and build the characters. This will have you harking back to being a teenager if you aren’t one reading this story, if you are a teenager, it will be like reading your diary. Hadley will pull you as she faces her struggles, and they are struggles we all face at some point in life, it just so happens that Hadley’s seem to be happening just as she was getting it all together. I enjoyed this story, but it didn’t pull me like the first, it could be me as I am so crazy right now, so I am eagerly awaiting number three to see what will be happening next.

Not knowing his origin , he clashes with few of the bad characters and also learn about his past. The book is quite engrossing and is filled with funny and cunning characters, and the illustrations add more to the charm. It is a very engaging book and is fully action packed.

Shield & Shade (Ascended Guardians Book 1) by Misty Hayes – Review by Sarah Hammel

Shield & ShadeShield & Shade by Misty Hayes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vampires, angels, demons, we are all familiar with them and probably have come to expect certain things from those topics and types of characters, but Misty Hayes really made their own original spin on it. If you come into it expecting it to go a certain way you might end up being disappointed, but I greatly enjoyed the different take on the mythology of the creatures. At times it was hard to follow because of some of the changes but once you get used to the differences it is fun and exciting. There is a lot of dark material in the story so it is not a light read, it might trigger some hard feelings, but it is worth it at least in my opinion. I read it as an ebook but it definitely felt like a big thick book that you could lose yourself in if you had the time to sit and really dive into it. Recommended for anyone that is a fan of the vampire legend but wants something new about them to taste.

This action-packed fantasy made it almost impossible to put down! Zoey starts out with a almost crippling fear of the dark and no memories of why. Her family is loud, boisterous and overprotective. They are also telling lies and withholding truths. When the truth of the world she lives in starts to come to the surface everything is terrifying and tragic. Zoey needs to be brave and to fight for her life and the lives of her family. Zoey’s character grows from a naive little girl to a brave little warrior. Sometimes the truth is scary, but the fight is worth it. A must read!

This story is very…….unique. A plaque devastated most of the population but there is Jeremy, a 17 year old boy whom is pregnant. This story grasps you to believe there is truly miracles that can happen. The different points of views between Jeremy, Leslie, and Ruth really captivating. The very small town really believed this “miracle” would truly be the hope they are looking for. One of my true favorite lines in the book was “I don’t know if things are going to get better or worse from here, but no matter what comes, remember that God is with you.” I think this would stick with me for sure especially in real life.

House in the Woods by Jessica Aiken-Hall – Review by Liz Vrchota

House in the WoodsHouse in the Woods by Jessica Aiken-Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I swear Jessica Aiken Hall just gets better and better with every book, and I swear that has to be a harder and harder feat to do each time. Her books are one heck of a ride every time. They are massively full of twists and turns with thought provoking mysteries that will make you lay awake at night wondering if you have the whole story straight in your head only to read the next day and find out you in fact did not. That is by far the best kind of dark and twisty thriller novel that you want to read. House in the Woods is her latest and does not deviate from this norm. It is her best to date in my opinion and I will be re-reading here very soon just because I am sure I missed something and will once again enjoy the crazy ride it will take me on. I found this one to me more emotive than some of her other thriller novels and it really tugged at the heartstrings at times. I enjoyed that layer and it made it more personable to me. I can’t say enough good things about this book and wish I could rate it more than five stars. I feel like it would make a wonderful mini-series for television too! I can’t wait to see what else we will get from the mind of Ms. Jessica Aiken-Hall!

This book was quite an interesting read. I will say you have to go into it with an open mind. I have read a lot of Greta Cribbs before so I wasn’t worried because I have previously enjoyed her other works. I must say this book will make you bend your mind a little bit and think outside the box as you read. I happen to think this is quite the accomplishment for an author to do and is a great thing. I thought about this book long after I finished it and what I might want to say in this review and I am not going to bore you with details that are already said in the blurb or other reviews but rather I will tell you this is one that you will want to read if you like books that will make you think. Books that make you wonder how you live your own life and how you question your own reality and the way you make your choices. I think that this is the perfect book for you to pick up then. I am looking forward to seeing what else we may get in the near future from Ms. Cribbs.

The DonThe Don by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG! First of all, I must preface this by saying that I am a sucker for reverse harem novels, so I may be biased but this book rocked! However, Hazel Storm really did a great job writing this novel in a classy way. Some reverse harem novels can be a bit much even for me. So bonus points for sure. I really loved the concept as well and really enjoyed all the characters and the time that went into building them. I was invested in them right away and I cannot wait to come back and read about them more in the coming books. I hope we will get more of them soon! This one really set us up on the men and Vanessa, it’s told from several points of view and is well layered so that there is no confusion at all. I definitely have favorites so far but I am keeping them reserved until I have more novels and stories to make my final choices lol. This is one you don’t want to miss if you love reverse harems and romances with heat!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first time reading Samantha Adair and The Tom Grant Series so I knew I was probably going to be doing myself dirty a bit with jumping into a series midway through but I was intrigued and wanted to see what this was all about. I am glad that I did and look forward to seeing what the rest of the series now has in store for me. I really enjoyed the action and adventure that kept me on the edge of my seat while I picked apart the thriller and suspense mystery that was at the base of it all as I read. I was lost at times but I expected that and knew I would be doing it to myself and now know that I have a few new books to go back and enjoy. I also look forward to seeing what else we will be getting in this series in the near future. I really loved how loud the voice of the lead female character was in this novel. I feel like we could use more of these kind of women and just wanted to give a shout out to the author for that one.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons AUDIO BOOK by L.M. Mountford – Review by Ashleyann Sanabria

Holy spice! If you are a lover spice to make you melt, this book is for you! Very descriptive, painting a thoroughly vivid picture in your mind the entire time. It is a collection of very short, very steamy stories, that honestly are a bit of tease! It reads like a collection of story samples more than a cohesive book. Enough to keep you invested for each story but stops just after it gets good. Would want to have each of these stories be a lot longer. The plot is really very interesting for some, and others really did not have too much substance outside the spice.

Broken – Interesting background story It seems there is much mystery to be explored and I would have loved to have this be a much longer book. So much more to be explored with the characters.

Just Once – I love a good “friends to lovers” trope, and this seemed to be the beginnings of that. Definitely interested in where the story goes from there.

Valentine Misadventures – The beginning of this story was action-packed. The spicy scene seemed a bit out of place, but interesting just the same.

Together in Sydney – This story was quite cute involving long lost friends reconnecting. I would have loved to hear more.

Training Tracey – This I think was my least favorite, but that just may not fit with my personal taste. There is a little bit of a maternal aspect in the spice, which I think was the culprit of my cringe. That being said, I am sure there are people who would love this story, so don’t discount it without giving it a try!

Blood Lust – I think this was my favorite one! I am a sucker for a paranormal romance, so not surprising that this one stuck out to me the best.

Sweet Temptations – This was likely the most satisfying, mainly because there is a sneak peak of the continuation of the story, so it felt just a bit more complete. Many characters, many potential trysts, and so many different directions this one can go from here.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So LA Detwiler is a new author to me but I can assure you this will not be my last experience reading anything by the talented Ms. Detwiler again! When I saw the book cover for The Arsonist’s Handbook I was sold, but that blurb drew me in even more and it quickly soared to the top of my TBR list. I immediately dove right in and was hooked in so fast I read this book in one sitting well into the evening and found myself wrapping this up at four am.. Oops lol, NOT SORRY! I had to know how this book would end, I could not sleep until I did, it was that gripping. It beyond lived up to its name of a ‘gripping psychological thriller’ and I even found that it haunted my dreams and thoughts the next day. I won’t be giving you the details of the characters and story because really that would ruin it and you need to dive in and learn those for yourself, but this is one that you do not want to miss if you love dark and twisty books with a a crime thriller background storyline. I will be going to see what else is available and stalking the new releases of Detwiler to come now. I hope we get more of the same kind soon! Such a fab more than five star read!
