Dinopotamus Goes to School (Dinopotamus Series) by Lois Wickstrom. This is such a fun story for kids. Its the story of Dinopotamus and him wanting to do all the things the other kids do. When they kids all go to school he follows them. With him being larger than the other kids he can’t do all the things they do, at least not like the other kids, but he always tries and even manages doing most of them. He had so much fun he looks forward to going back tomorrow. This book teaches kids that its ok to be different and that you can usually do the same things with some modifications. Such a great lesson for kids and the illustrations are so cute as well. Add this to your child’s library today!

The first chapter couldn’t pull me in, but I read the rest in a few hours. Couldn’t wait to see how it played out! I love the afterlife (between worlds). It was an amazing read. Great story and makes you want more. Highly recommend!
Italian American (Jack & Mariella Book 2) by Luigina Vecchione. I loved the first book so much but this one was even better. Written to the point that I felt like I was right in Rome and in America back in the 50’s. This story stayed with a long time after I finished it and that to me is the sign of a great book. Its the continuing story of Jack & Mariella who have moved to America and Mariella is having a hard time fitting in. Not used to American ways and American people, its a rough beginning. Leaving her beloved Rome is one of the hardest things she’s ever done. Women are different in American, very judgy and gossipy and outsiders aren’t really welcome. When a tragedy has her traveling back to Rome she will have to make the hardest decision ever in coming back to American. She loves Jack but with him working all the time she misses him and wonders if she really needs to go back. Such a heartfelt love story that will leave you wanting more.

Ghost Talker (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Book 1) by Byrd Nash. This is such a fun paranormal story. Its a mystery along with all kinds of ghosts, secrets, possessions and house arrests. Its the story of Elinor who is a ghost talker and has all the tools to get the dead to talk to her. Many people seek her out to talk to their dead loved ones and the Inspector in town even seeks her help with local crimes. So when Elinor is taken to the morgue to investigate a body that was found in the canal. When she gets there and sees the Duke is present as well. Finding out the present Duke is involved puts a whole new pressure on Elinor to find out who the murder victim is and how he is connected to the Duke. Such a fun read full of mystery and intrigue. These remind me of cozy mysteries with paranormal thrown in. I love them so much and can’t wait to read the next one!
Really enjoyed a different genre for a change! This story was easy to read and follow. Character/relationship development was awesome!!!! I had many “what ifs” while reading which is super fun! I did predict some stuff but not all! Would highly recommend to anyone who loves a good “who done it” story!

Ghost Talker is a paranormal suspense read. The world building was great. The character building was well thought of. The detailing you could tell the author put some thought into it. This book was a page turner for me. If you are into paranormal books, I highly recommend this series.
This book offers its readers both an interesting storyline and interesting characters that you will enjoy reading about. The leading lady, Elinor Chalamet, is a little on the snarky side (I think that is the word I am looking for) and that is a side of her I thoroughly enjoyed. This is a great start to the series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

I never fail to be excited when I see a new book by this author and this one is no exception. As with all of the others I have read, it pulled me in right from the start. I was completely captivated by both the characters and the story. The book had all the intensity I love from this author which only made it so much better. I connected with these characters the moment I started reading about them. The push and pull between them only added to the chemistry that was evident. I loved watching the dynamic between them and how their relationship developed as the book progressed. This author really knows how to draw you into each and every story she writes and has firmly become one of my favourites. I would highly recommend everyone read not only this book but everyone she has written.

What an amazing sequel. I could feel the thriller to it. Again, I was pulled right in. I could feel the struggle and just felt that there was some real danger and trouble around the corner. This is an intense book and I was in it the whole way through. The characters were just right up there. I don’t think I’ve read a book with quite such a psychothriller feel to it. It’s a book that if you like family drama and danger, dysfunction and thrill,; you may like this one.
This is a book that grips you from the start. Identical twins with a dysfunctional family. There’s lot of drama and a few disorders. The characters are so well done into this story. I really could not put this down. It’s a well-written story that grabs your attention and pulls you right in. You’ll feel like you are right in the middle. I can’t wait to read the next book.

What an interesting concept for a book series! This was a quick and easy read from author C. A. King. In a sort of dystopian future, Fishermen Rod and Ned find a new species of fish at the bottom of the ocean. Little do they know havoc it will wreck on their small fishing town and the world. I did feel like the character development was lacking, it’s definitely more plot driven. But overall it was a fun and quirky read.

This is the 5th book in the series and my first. I have not read the other books in the series but I will be going back to do that after I write this. The author has chosen to write each book about a different set of characters or that is what I am gathering from reading this one. I feel that if I would have read the others first, I would have more in depth knowledge about all the characters. However, that doesn’t diminish this book at all. As a reader you are able to grab ahold of the ideas that the author is putting to paper. You will find yourself cheering on the characters and really feeling their emotions as the book continues. The writing will have you unable to look up from reading and unable to put the book down when you know you should. Each character in this book has struggled in life and reading how they have tried to better themselves individually and then seeing how they could be even better together. The push and pull with the added suspense of the story makes this a very riveting read. This is the sequel to the book Secrets In The Mirror. I strongly recommend reading that book first so that you get the fully understand the trauma that Gavin has suffered, it helps you to understand and appreciate what has drove him to be the way he is now suffering with PTSD. This is a psychological suspense story but what really stood out for me was the authors incredibly ability to allow the reader a deeper insight into the person’s life who suffer from PTSD, how they are affected but also how it affects their own family and everyone close to them. This subject is dealt with in a way that is informative but also respectful allowing the reader to fully understand just how many it affects people’s lives.
There is also family drama, and secrets that will be revealed. With Gavin’s parents dead and now his twin brother, his PTSD is worse than every before. He now has to return to his childhood home to deal with what is left of his parents home. However Gavin returning isn’t an easy thing. Not only does he have to deal with all the past trauma, but there is also secrets he is yet to unearth and with the added danger of people still looking for him Gavin knows this place isn’t safe for him anymore. But will confronting all of his past and demons be the thing he needs to start and heal himself?
Meanwhile at home his wife Katie is suffering her own problems. She loves Gavin and will do anything she can to help support him and help him. However, she knows feels like she is the only adult left in the marriage. Not only does she have to take care of Gavin but also their daughter and keep their business running. Can she continue the be strong and take care of everything including her husband’s mental health or will it get to much and mean she will have to make the decision to support her husband or protect their daughter.
This is a really moving and thought provoking story. My heart goes out to both Katie and Gavin because neither of them wants their life to be the way it is with PTSD controlling every aspects of their lives.
I read this with my littlest grandchildren and they enjoyed it so much. It’s a cute children’s book that teaches counting and about sea turtles. Colorful pictures keep their attention and mine asked so many questions. It would be a wonderful addition to any child’s library or preschool/early elementary teacher’s library.

Dinopotamis Goes to School is the first Lois Wickstrom book I have gotten my girls where she is the author and illustrator. While the pictures weren’t as good as the others, you can tell Lois Wickstrom put a lot of love into the story and art. I think my kids liked it best since it seemed more like art my oldest could try to copy, try being keyword. It was such a cute story and definitely for younger kids.

Vivian Vo- A dentist who helps families who don’t have insurance get the care they need. She also teaches self-defense classes to help people so they never end up in a situation like she has.
Arrow wants the girl- She rejects him twice but wants him too. She tries to keep her distance from him, but when their separate missions force them to work together, it makes everything harder. As they work together to find a missing girl and put an end to an international criminal organization they grow closer to one another. Their chemistry together, his understanding of her past and wanting to be there, the healing journey, the drama… just all of it, is off the wall! Such a great read. I will definitely be reading the other 4 books, as well as the 6th book in the series!

Ghost Talker by Byrd Nash is the first book in the amazing Madame Chalamet series. A wonderful paranormal mystery read, with incredible imagery, amazing characters, and beautiful world building of a fictional 1900s London. I absolutely loved this book, and every single character in it! I could not put it down, and am already reading the second book. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes books that keep you on your toes trying to figure out the mystery because Nash definitely won’t disappoint!

This is a story that will get you from the start and hold you the further you get in. Helo (aka Queenie) has an intense past. Breaking into the Wretched Soulz MC may not have been the greatest idea. She was trying to help someone. Chaz and a couple others caught her. Let’s just say that the dance was on. Helo suffered from PTSD and is running from a bounty on her head. Chaz figured he was a bachelor for life because he was the MC leader. Watching these two figure out their relationship issues and work around the MC issues made for some reading that you couldn’t put down. I stayed up pretty late because I felt invested in what was going on. I had to know what the plan was. It’s fast-paced, full of drama and action. I enjoyed all the personalities. Storyteller makes an appearance with his family. It’s an exciting read (with a bit of steam).

Ten Little Starfish by Kim Ann is such an adorable book. My girls loved counting the starfish and we even practiced colors as well. They had so much fun counting they even started counting other stuff on the pages like the rocks, crabs, seaweed, moss, etc. I didn’t notice until after we finished reading that there was a QR code and an actual song to accompany the book, so, of course, we had to reread it with the song playing. I loved all the little information towards the end about starfish as well. All in all, this is a cute little book and perfect for young kids!

So these people have been friends since high school and are still friends into adulthood so when one of them , Craig , gets promoted they go on a boat trip to celebrate …but it soon turns to disaster
What baffled me is the issues they have with each other as we get a glimpse into their feelings on the way to said trip it feels like they’ve outgrown each other but are holding for whatever reason 🤷♀️
So irena married her high school sweetheart but divorced him due to his sneaker fetish and collection and I must agree it’s crazy and he goes t even wear them 🙈🤷♀️ anyhoo her current boyfriend Buzz is slso part of their friend circle but he seems a little unstable and obsessed to me but again only the reader sees that side but I must admit I appreciate the good relationship she maintains with her ex , Jack and they have their daughter Kelly to think of and he’s behind on maintenance ….
Irena knows more than most when it comes to boats and it seems her instincts with people aren’t to bad either and she knows something is off with her friend group but she just can’t put her finger on it ….but what I can tell you Jack made me feel he was up to something from the start …
Craig insists everyone wear life jackets and rightly so but Jack has to be difficult and refuse , I mean come in just put it on !! Then a wave hits , sone go overboard , sone come back and sone don’t , the search is on and things come to surface 🙈let’s just say I felt very disillusioned on behalf of some folk and expect the unexpected in this read 😉
When I started reading this I felt like putting it down , not because of the writing style but the people irked me but I’m glad I pushed through because I was rewarded at the end with a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read 😉

Ten Little Sandpipers by Kim Ann is a perfect book for young kids! Not only were my kids counting the Sandpipers but they wouldn’t let me go to the next page until they could count every little thing in the picture. From the clouds to the mountains, seashells, crabs… didn’t matter what it was they HAD to count it all. There are little facts about Sandpipers at the end too which started up a bunch of questions from my kiddos.

I love the writing style and imagination of this author. The cover and title immediately pulled me in. When I learned it was a supernatural story, I was even more excited to read. I have read many MANY supernatural stories but this is like no other that I have read before. The characters are well written and interesting. A duck shifter? The first for me for sure. Ducky is someone that I feel many can relate to in a way. Obviously not in the supernatural element, but in the way that she has been bullied and mistreated her whole life. She is an outcast and a loner. She doesn’t fit in with the others. She is in love with the Lord but believes he would never be interested in her. The Lord is back to prevent war and rumor is he is looking for a bride. Ducky believes it could never be her but she wants to take a peek anyway. This was a fun read and I am looking forward to future books in the series.
Ten Little Sea Turtles by Kim Ann is such a cute book. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is so much fun! There is a QR code in the back that will sing the cutest little song to go along with the book. However, if your kids are anything like mine you should do the song after going through the book. They didn’t want to go to the next page in time with the song, they wanted to keep looking at everything and each one had to take turns counting. This is a perfect book for little kiddos who are learning to count.

I have read a few books from this author and she alway surprises me with her writing. This is the second book to the amazing Love in Emerald Creek series. This book could be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. You are going to fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. I could not put this book down until the end. I can’t wait to see who she will write about next.
Shayna is a single mom and will do anything for her kids. She got out of an abusive marriage and now she has started a new life. Shayna now lives in Emerald Creek and she is loving the small town life. She meets Burke from her best friend and they start a good friendship. If you aren’t hooked within the first few pages there is no hope for you. A woman with a burning toaster and a call to the fire department is how it all started and the entertainment doesn’t let up.
Zach a firefighter/medic is the first on the scene to make contact with Libby who has been in town an entire day before this craziness happens.
I loved the boys, they give each other a hard time no matter the reason. But when a girl is involved they all seemed to regress back to being school age boys.
This book was not too long but throughly enjoyable, and how can you go wrong with firefighters?
This is not my first book by Ms. Reed and I can promise I will be reading the rest of this series.

However Kate doesn’t want any help. She doesn’t want to move forward. She feels she accomplished everything she set out to do and it’s time to move on before a disease takes her anyway as it did her mother and grandmother before her. Lydia comes up with an idea of an adventure. One with hopes of finding herself and who she truly wants to be. Two to show Kate that she has more purpose in the world. At Kate’s insistence that money isn’t an issue they decide to revisit the 5 places they went to in their 20s. Lydia hopes it’s the beginning of starting over, not realizing Kate’s only doing it for her. What happens on their adventures? Does Lydia discover who she is and what she wants? What about Kate, does she discover there’s more to life? These women are selfish & stubborn but one thing they do have in common is they love each other fiercely and only want what’s best for the other. It’s a story that reminds the reader of their close friends. For me, my best friend, we’ve gone on trips together and our lives are in different places which is sometimes difficult to understand. But we will always have each other. Like I said before this book reminds us that tomorrow is never promised. So don’t settle. Live your life to the fullest. And never forget to tell your loved ones, that you love them!

Percy owns the local hardware store and is very committed to running it smoothly. His mom and sister are very concerned about his bachelor status. They begin to encourage him to write letters to young ladies to see if he can find “the one” in mail order bride style.
Clara is a teacher who’s also very independent. When a letter arrives from Percy and she begins to get to know him better, she makes the decision to leave her job and go to be near Percy to see if their relationship can go anywhere.
Amelia is a seamstress. She’s very devoted to her craft. She too receives a letter from Percy. Having no family per se to keep her in one pace, Amelia finds herself on a train to meet Percy and possibly start a life together.
When both women show up within days of each other, they are all a bit perplexed at first….
I enjoyed this read very much! It’s a novella that can easily be read in 1-2 settings. This is a clean romance that I could safely recommend to anyone looking for something in this genre. There were a few character flaws (names misattributed, family situations) so just know that going in.
