Bottomed Out (Moto X Book 4) by Brooke May is a romance story and one of my favourites by her. Brooke is able to write a story with emotions in just the right way that always leaves you wanting more. This one is both a little heartbreaking and heartwarming. There is a twist that certainly makes things interesting.
Jax is a sweetie but he is dealing with a disability that makes him feel like he isn’t the man he used to be but his emotions are all over the place when a certain woman walks into his life and an overprotective brother .
I can’t wait to see what will come next from Brooke.

Night Justice was the first book I have read by India Kells. The pages flowed so fast that this easily became a one day read. I enjoyed how it was very original in its night-time vigilante theme, yet while reading it, you could see it playing in your head, like a scene from a DC comic. The romance inclusion was a perfect mix with the action and suspense. Since this is the first book in the series, I will be watching and waiting (slightly impatiently) for the next book.

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell is a YA sci-fi story with a fast moving plot and has you wondering if the future could behold truths which Ruth has written about. It is definitely a story that gets you thinking along with lots of questions about technology today and what it could mean for the future. I was intrigued with the story and Ruth’s world building. I was a bit thrown at first with the way the narrative changed between characters but once I worked it out I settled in for the adventure. With suspense and mystery, danger and drama and with everything from darkness to lightness it is a little twisty, thrilling and surprising read.
Lucy finds herself in a race against time to stop a hacker who is able to delete memories and change and rewrite their history.
I am looking forward to seeing what Ruth will bring us next.
Night Justice is the first book in the Chicago Vigilantes series by India Kells. It is the first I have read by her, and I hope there is a book 2, as this book ended too suddenly. There is so much left unresolved. Over all, it was a really good book. A little too… graphic… in certain scenes, but the story was good. Makes me think of Batman- A vigilante is rumored to be seen in Chicago, but the descriptions never seem to match up. Orla, a reporter, has made it her current project to investigate it. She is tasked with a new story- find more information on the distribution of a new drug said to be coming to Chicago soon. On her first night investigating, she crosses paths with said Vigilante, and it begins. They both have the same mission in mind, to keep the drug off the streets, but they have a hard time trusting each other and teaming up. They certainly have chemistry and physical closeness, but lack the trust. I recommend this book, I enjoyed it. I want to know how its going to end though, I feel it ended too soon, and left too many questions.

Wow this book had me hooked from the beginning. I was on the edge of my seat turning the pages wanting to know what was going to happen next. This book is full of action, suspense, danger, wonderful characters and more. I love Orla’s character, she is a reporter that is strong and independent and when she puts her mind to something there’s no stopping her. She is trying to stop a new drug from hitting the streets and she also wants to uncover who the vigilante is. The vigilante is also on a quest to stop the distribution of this awful drug. They find themselves working together and they can’t seem to stop the chemistry between them. This is a must read if you want to know if they are able to stop the drugs from being released and what happens between these two. I cannot wait to read the next installment in what is starting out to be a great series. I highly recommend this book.

Girl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton. This is the third book in the Madeline Dawkins Series. This book kept me in the edge of my seat and I could not put it down. This book could easily be made into a television series and you would absolutely love it. I am glad that I read the previous books so I know the characters and plot. It was filled with mystery. I can not wait for the next book!!!

This dark suspense romance kept me hooked from beginning to the end! I have read this author before and I have loved every book by her! This one is no different. The Lost (Saint Code Book 1) by Megan Mackie. This author definitely knows how to keep readers coming back for more. Once again I found myself completely hooked on another fantastic read. The characters are complex and relatable, each one brings something unique to the storyline and draws you further into their story world. While on the shorter side it still packs a punch and the shortness doesn’t hinder the storyline in any way. I couldn’t put it down and found myself awake way late in the night because I made the mistake of starting it later. It’s a well written and nicely developed story that’s got a nice easy pace to follow with awesome characters. Four big stars and highly recommended.

Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Book 2) by Denise D. Young. While I know this is book two I did read it first without confusion but I’ll definitely be going back to read book one soon. This was my first read by this author and I loved definitely be back for more. Sometimes I find it hard to really sink into a paranormal type story but I had absolutely no problem with this book, I immediately found myself lost within its pages and not wanting to find my way out. The characters are well developed and easy to connect with, they truly pulled me into their world and I was hooked from start to finish. It’s on the shorter side but it doesn’t hinder the storyline in any way. It’s a well thought out storyline and paced nicely. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. Bottomed Out by Brooke May is the fourth book in her Moto X series. I have not read the first three that I understand go together and after finishing Bottomed Out, I need to pick them up as I want to learn about Axle and Paige and yes, you could read Bottomed Out as a standalone in a sense that it is a story in its own rights but as you can see from my statement, I feel that I need to go back to the beginning of the series … I have read Brooke May’s writing before and her Back in the Ring is something that I still remember at times and that makes the writer’s name to be on my ‘to be read’ writers’ list … Bottomed Out is the story of Jax Hunt and Lennox Austin. Jax was on top of the moto world but as it is with any racing sport, he did not walk away from an accident on his own so he has had to learn to live without racing … Lennox bursts into his life and gives him another thrilling goal to go chasing after … We have two strong people thrown together and we will grow along with them throughout the story and I promise you laughter and I promise you tears and I promise you will not regret the hours you will spend with the crew! Buckle up as it is going to be one thrilling ride!

Eat Me: Mayim Merman Book 1 by Amber Dark. Want something steamy and short this is just the story you’re looking for. The characters captured my attention right away and I couldn’t put it down. I found myself trying to read both faster to see what happen next and slower to make it last longer. Even with this story being on the short side it’s well written and didn’t feel rushed and I still had enough to connect with the characters. I’m excited to see where this author takes readers next. This was my first read from this author and I’m excited for more! Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Night Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 1) by India Kells was a good 4 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. We get a glimpse into how the vigilante got his start and then we jump ahead five years later to Orla, a strong and determined reporter for the Chicago Tribune.
Orla is looking into a way to stop a new dangerous drug from hitting the streets of Chicago. Her other interest is unmasking the vigilante. When the vigilante gets wind that Orla is also searching for the drug in a twist these two end up joining forces to find them together. The more they work together the closer they become.
Will they succeed and can they keep their hearts out of it?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I loved Orla’s strength and determination, she wasn’t afraid to back down from a fight. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. If you are looking for a great thrilling read this is the one for you. The characters are complex and relatable, they bring readers right into their world and as for me I didn’t want to leave. I love books with strong female main characters and this one definitely delivers just that, a head strong fierce character who doesn’t back down and the Vigilante who she teams with makes for an amazing story. I could not stop reading this book as the story progressed. It was addictive, intriguing, thrilling, and entertaining. I loved it! I loved the characters and the scenery. This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing and her stories. This was such a wonderful read. I highly recommend it!

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. Rebecca Steele, or Becky as everyone calls her, has traded her life as a flight attendant for ranch living outside of Nashville, Tennessee. She rides her horse Trigger through the rodeo circuit and begins her career as a country music star. Life seems to be going good for Becky until she’s thrown a curve ball. Becky will have to learn how to forget her fears in order to be truly happy for the rest of her life. I loved watching Becky’s life unfold. Her friends love her and only want the best for her. It was heartwarming to see how much her best friend Emily is there for her through thick and thin. The author made Becky into such a lovable character, I couldn’t help but root her on.

I didn’t know what to expect with this novel, Boundaries: Scope of Practice Book 1 by Jessica Aiken-Hall. I have never read her work prior to this but the cover, blurb, and teasers sold me on this book pretty darn fast and I am very happy that I decided to delve in. I was thrown for a loop with this one and didn’t know what to think or feel most of the time as I read it. It was a book that managed to take some seriously heavy material and make it readable and relatable for some. I loved how I was so consumed by these words that I found myself devouring this in one sitting. I know for sure I will be back for more in book two as soon as it is available.
This book is a difficult one to review without ruining, in my opinion. I am comfortable giving the smallest tidbits and that is it. We find the main character Valerie as a social worker consumed by the past traumas of herself and others as she works her way through a difficult murder case. The detective that she is paired with on that one will make her question her own boundaries over and over. Will she find the answers she is looking for? Can she stand in her boundaries with conviction or will she find a way to bend the rules? I know this is one that any crime novel junkie will wanna devour soon so if that is your thing this is a book you have to have! I can’t wait to see what we will get next!

This was definitely an interesting read for me. I would like to state this book contains some points that are trigger warning worthy moments and delves into topics such as bullying, and abuse. I felt the author did well for the most part with this and kept things realistic and not too much for the most part so that was a good point for me. It still was hard for me to fall in love with the main characters for this reason and a few others.
Bailey and Cooper are step siblings, obviously, but that is not the only odd part about their romance. It was not an easy road for these two and Cooper really spent a lot of time making it hard to find anything to like about him and hard to believe that Bailey would as well except for the mere fact that Cooper is good looking. I wanted to get behind them and root for them but that never really came to be for me as I read. I was a tad confused how this book ended but I would still be interested in seeing what the next book may have in store as well and seeing if the author’s writing has grown too.

Wow! I did not expect this book to move me as much as it did. It is written with a tone that is geared towards a younger crowd but this book consumed me very much still as an adult middle aged woman. I loved how this book was written with such conviction that you could feel the author’s feelings flowing from the words as you read. I was completely enthralled in this read and found myself staying up way late into the night to find out how this story would come to a close. I am glad that I did, that was not wasted sleep or time at all.
Swallowed by a Secret is the story of a young boy named Rocky. He finds his life turned upside down by tragedy and struggling to fit into a new school and town altogether has made the search for answers about his father’s death even more tenuous. I won’t divulge much more than that about the storyline but I will assure you this is one you will want to read and share with your young tween/teen children as well. I know I am, and I look forward to seeing what may come next or is already available by Risa Nyman soon!

I had no idea what to expect when I picked up Winter’s Wolf, the first of The Cursed Series from Lou Grimes. This is Lou’s debut novel so was not only new to me but this was a new everything experience. Normally I am not drawn to shapeshifter or werewolf novels easily but this one just grabbed my attention with the teasers and blurb mixed with that gorgeous cover, that I had to know what happened in this book asap!
This book was a quick and fast paced read that never left me on a boring note and had me reading faster and faster to see how the book would culminate. I was so happy that this book included so many genres really that it was not completely consumed by the fact that it was a werewolf story. The characters are strong and fierce and Lou writes them with a conviction that makes them come to life and feel very real. I loved how this ended and look forward to seeing what the next few novels will bring about!

Bottomed Out (Moto X Series Book 4) by Brooke May was an amazing read. I laughed and I cried while reading this story. Jax and Len were fantastic characters. Jax immediately kidnapped my heart at the start of this book. It was so easy to step into his character during this story. I easily felt what he did and struggled when he did. To see how much he developed and changed as the book progressed was inspiring. I haven’t read any of the other books in this series but I know I will be reading them now. This book can be read as a standalone and is an easy 5-stars. I highly recommend it.

Although part of a series this book can be read easily as a standalone story. Ex motor cross star Jax Hunt is fed up of people only seeing his disability and although he has a lot of positives in his life, his family, friends and a job he enjoys he is looking for a change. Jax’s does his best to prove to everyone that he can still do anything that someone with two working legs can do but now Jax’s is ready to push himself even more and prove the same to the rest of the world. When he first meets Lennox Austin he is instantly attracted to her exotic beauty and unique eye colour and is soon just as attracted to her entertaining personality, and even more so to the fact that Lennox actually sees him, Jax, as a man not as a man with a disability. Jax’s is willing to risk it all to achieve his goals and to ensure that Lennox does not turn away from him like so many others, he just has to deal with his overprotective brother first. This is a great story who’s main character is in a wheelchair following an accident, however the storyline is more about how his disability does not define him or stop him from achieving his goals. I loved the two main characters, Jax’s and Lennox and their chemistry was instant but different situations and people kept preventing their relationship from developing. I really felt for Jax and was cheering him and Lennox on to their happy ever after. An enjoyable read and I look forward to reading other books in this authors ‘Moto X’ series.

I have read a few books from this author and she still continues to blow my mind. I absolutely love a good criminal romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the Chicago Vigilantes series and wow what a great start to an awesome series. You can’t help but to fall in love with these characters. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

Orla Karlson is a reporter who sets out to uncover who will be dealing a new drug in Chicago. With disastrous side effects, Phantom can do serious damage. Orla has to find a way to stop it. As her pet project she’s trying to uncover the identity of a vigilante who metes out his own justice. Realizing that they have a common goal, to stop Phantom, they decide to collaborate. The chemistry between the two is electrifying but with danger lurking around every corner, can these two connect?
I loved that Orla was a strong, no nonsense female lead. The vigilante, though on the wrong side of the law, had his own set of morals. The story is filled with danger, action and romance, what more could you ask for? I found it was a little slow at the beginning but once it picked up, boy was it a page turner! I’ve read a few of this authors’ books before and this was just as good as the others.

I absolutely adored this book! This put me very much out of my element, since I don´t usually read this genre. I was absorbed in the characters and the world around them that i finished it in one day! I was so very intrigued by this book, and just could not put this book down! I definitely recommend this book, and i look forward to reading more of this series!

Book three in Wine’s ‘Forgotten Trilogy’ continues Bryer and Nathan’s love story. I read the ‘hot and steamy’ version, and the couple are celebrating their love and looking forward to their upcoming wedding. However behind their backs there is a lethal plot which is planning on sabotaging their wedding and their relationship. As Bryer and Nathan deal with the plot the couple begin to fall apart and suddenly their future is threatened. A story of love and intrigue, and the chemistry between the two main characters continues to sizzle off the page. The storyline is fast paced and full of drama, love, romance, and of course plenty of steamy scenes. This was a perfect end to the exciting trilogy and I have been hooked since book one when first introduced to Nathan and Bryer. I was cheering the couple on to their happy ever after.

Forgotten Chance by Virginia Wine, the third book in this astounding trilogy, is as amazing as its predecessors! I absolutely could not put this book down, I couldn’t help but find out what happens next! This book is as emotional as it is steamy! I definitely recommend this book, as well as the first two! Saint Code: The Lost is the first book in the Saint Code series and the fourth book in The Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie. I absolutely adore this series! I became addicted to Megan Mackie’s stories back in the first book in The Lucky Devil series and have been eagerly anticipating each new release. This story doesn’t continue the thread that began in ‘Finder of the Lucky Devil’, but seems to predate it. Instead we follow St. Augustina the cyber-spy as she (along with St. Benedict) takes on a new job after being hired by the very mysterious Orange Lady for what seems to be a routine, if not dangerous, case. Read this book to find out what happens!
