This was a brilliant story full of drama, fun banter, friendships, steamy romance and so much more! This is novel that once you start you will struggle to put it down it really has that wow factor with a interesting storyline and amazing character’s. The storyline is engaging and a real big page turner so be prepared to read this all in one sitting! You can read this as a standalone but you really don’t want to miss the rest of the series absolutely fantastic!

Stepbrother is the first instalment in the Step Dilemma Series by Stacy McWilliams. I was not aware that this was a continuing series and wanted to scream when I came to the end of this book and saw the dreaded ‘to be continued’. I need to read the next part of this story ASAP. Bailey’s life is turned upside down when her mother announces her engagement to the very rich Shawn Christie. The good looking boy she’d seen at a school debate, who treated her badly is going to be her stepbrother. Bailey’s life at her new house and new school is hell. She’s treated as an outcast and her 2 new stepbrothers and stepfather treat her very badly. Even her mum causes her much heartache. This is a compelling story of the relationship between Bailey and her stepbrother Cooper. There’s a sizzling attraction between the 2 of them but Cooper treats her very badly, telling her that he hates her. Her Stepfather Shawn is convinced that there is something going on between the 2 of them and makes their life hell. There were so many times during this book that I hated Cooper and wanted to slap some sense into him, then there were moments when I just wanted to give him the biggest hug ever. I felt so sorry for Bailey who didn’t know which way to turn as one minute Cooper was telling her that he loved her and wanted to be with her and then he would be extremely nasty and say that he hated her and wanted nothing to do with her. Although this story starts when Bailey and Cooper are only 16, it spans many years and ends (leaving you hanging!) when they are 25. I cannot wait to see what is in store next for Bailey and Cooper.

Heart Broken is book five in Manda Mellett’s MC series about the ‘Satan’s Devils’ and this story focuses on MC member Heart. Although it can be read as a standalone story each book in the series do mention characters and events from previous books. Following the death of his wife Crystal, Heart is depressed and leaves everything and everyone behind including his daughter and goes on a road trip that he does not intend on returning from. However the voice of a female cop on the end of the phone keeps him going and alive as she alone seems to understand the emotions that he is feeling. However he does not think that Marc, a cop and an outlaw biker like himself can have a relationship, can they? This series of books is full of amazing characters from officers, prospects and patched members of the Satan’s Devils and their Old Ladies to the club sweet butts. All the characters are well developed and have their own backstories which adds to the overall storylines. I loved Heart as a character, he was realistic and honest in his grief for his wife and I really felt his vulnerability. This series of books deals with some dark themes, from disability, sex trafficking, grooming of young girls, racism, and like this one, overcoming the grief of losing a partner but this just adds depth to the books, making this series so much more than, just another MC series. This story is full of drama, action, suspense and of course romance. Heart Broken, took me on an emotional rollercoaster but you always feel as though you are among friends with the Satan’s Devils as you get to know the characters so well thanks to the authors wonderful descriptions of them. I felt completely immersed in the Satan’s Devils world and find Mellett to be a wonderful writer and storyteller.

Targeting Dart, is book four in the Satan’s Devils MC’ series. This series is full of amazing characters from officers, prospects and patched members of the Satan’s Devils and their Old Ladies to the club sweet butts, and confirmed bachelor Dart is another great character. Dart is happy being an average member of the Satan’s Devils MC, he has no desire to be an officer and is happy riding in the middle of the pack and enjoys the biker life-style to the full, with no commitments. When he meets Alex whilst she’s auditioning to become a stripper to earn some much needed money for her sons medical care, Dart fights his attraction for her and all he offers her is friendship. Alex is happy to have a friend like Dart as she fights for the life of her sick child. However Dart has to step up when Alex’s violent ex reappears in her life and threatens to take her son away. Dart fears he has left it too late to express his true feelings and Alex has suppressed her feelings in fear of him hurting her but as they come together against her ex, they can’t fight their feelings for one another any longer. This is another fantastic standalone story in Manda Mellett’s MC series, however personally I have found it more enjoyable to read the series of books in order as the characters do crossover and past events are mentioned in future books. Targeting Dart is a dark romance and does contains some themes of violence. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster but you always feel as though you are among friends reading books in this series, as you get to know the characters so well thanks to the authors wonderful descriptions of them all.

Slick Running, is book three in Manda Mellett’s ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series, Satan’s Devils are “hot alpha males who certainly aren’t shy in the bedroom”, and one by one they meet their strong feisty women, “who they want to ride with through life”, and this is Slick and Ella’s story. The club is devastated following the loss of one of their own so it’s not great timing when Slick’s ‘old lady’ suddenly returns needing Slick’s and the MC’s help. Slick had claimed Ella but then she ran away from both the club and Slick and he has no idea why so when she returns needing help he is obviously wary. However when he and the club discover why she needs their help they have no option but to help. The Satan’s Devils then find themselves having to break up a child grooming ring to rescue Ella’s younger sister. Meanwhile Slick and Ella still have the same attraction and chemistry they always had but Slick is determined that their past stays dead and buried and Ella is keeping a secret so can they overcome all the obstacles and get back together. I loved Ella and Slick and was cheering them in to their happy ever after. I found this book a bit darker than the previous ones in the series as it deals with child grooming but to me this just added depth to the story making this series so much more than, just another MC series.

Grace’s Ghostsis a fabulous middle school age children’s paranormal fantasy by Stephenie Wilson Peterson. It is a well woven tale of friendship, ghosts, an old curse, secrets, magic, mystery, and adventure. Ghosts are drawn to Grace, and ever since she was born they’ve sought her out, so having them around is nothing new to her. In fact, she gets on better with ghosts than she does the living. She’s a bit of a misfit with the other children her age, so all her good friends are ghosts. Her best friend is her cat, Midnight- and you guessed it, Midnight is also a ghost. Grace learns of a curse placed on her town by a witch hundreds of years ago. This curse keeps the souls of everyone, trapped, in the town. The ghosts desperately need Grace’s help to lift the curse- and so the adventure begins. Grace uncovers startling secrets and uncovers much more than she could ever have imagined. It is race against time to find a way to free the ghostly souls, before it’s too late. But considering all her friends are ghosts- where will that leave Grace if the curse is broken? Grace is a really sweet and caring young lady. I really liked her- and I thought Midnight was a really cute addition to the story. A great read!

Bottomed Out by Brooke May is book four of the Moto C series. This book was so easy to fall into. It was such a good read!
Jax is strong willed. He has always achieved what he set out to achieve. If he puts his mind to it, he can accomplish it. The one thing he hasn’t been able to do is make people see him for more than his disability. He doesn’t have that problem when Lennox walks into his life. Lennox is immediately drawn to him and doesn’t define him by his disability. The only problem is Lennox’s over protective brother. Jax accomplishes everything he sets out to do, will he be able to fight for Lennox?
These characters were so great! I fell in love with both Lennox and Jax and couldn’t help but root for them the whole time!

This is the third book in this series. I loved this one just as much as the previous books. This is a story that has well developed characters that bring the story to life. I had no issues connecting to them with each page I turned. What will happen when you have a vampire who wants to disappear but is intrigued by a witch and a strong bond? She gave him her blood to save him but will he be able to save her? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens between this vampire and witch. They have awesome chemistry and really make this story what it is. I also enjoyed how the secondary characters are supportive and add to the story. I highly suggest checking out this book and this author.

I enjoyed this story. This is not my first book by this author, it is one of my favorites by this author. This is a young adult story that has action, suspense and a mystical quest. I was pulled into the story right from the first chapter. I had no problems connecting with the characters as they brought the story to life. Megan is about to take on another quest. This one will bring conflict and having to try to control an athlete who has an attitude problem plus add a serial killer after wizards, you get a page turner.. This is a fast paced story that I had a hard time putting down. I highly recommend this book.

When two separate investigations seemed to be linked can Mike and Madeline get to the cause and help those who are lost in the wave of destruction.
We are back with Madeline and as usual she is busy with both businesses but when some asks her to open up a 12 year old case she jumps at the chance, but what lies between the investigation is worst than she could have ever imagined.
While Madeline is looking into the 12 year old boarding school case, Mike decides to investigate the missing persons of two people close to his cousin but when delving into the case he uncovers that the two cases may not be that far apart from each and that the two of them are going to get more than they bargained for when secrets start to become uncovered.
This story delves into the world of human trafficking and it leaves you wrestling with the couple to find the answers to the questions of what has happened to these people. I love the relationship between the main characters and there roles have developed through the two books and now the third. Although this flows quite nicely as a standalone book as Cynthia gives you a brief outline for the history of the previous stories I would recommend you to have read these books before hand, not just for the history but they are great stories too.
This story opens up Madeline to yet more heartache and please has this woman not gone through enough but she keeps sucking it up and carrying in which is one her best character traits. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the story and thought that it had just the right amount of suspense to keep you wanting to read on to get to the end. I was not disappointed and can’t wait to read the final conclusion of this great series. Thank you for great stories and brilliant characters.

Wow this is such an emotional story that had me in tears. The characters are so relatable and the relationship between Rocky and Olive is so special. It handles a very sensitive subject in a careful and thoughtful way. And shows that secrets even when kept with good intentions aren’t always the right thing to do.
Rocky and his mother move to live with his grandfather after his dad passed away. Rocky’s mum told him that his dads heart just stopped but something doesn’t ring true to Rocky.
When Rocky starts hearing his dad’s voice he is sent on a mission to find out the truth about what really happened.
With the help of Olive then start uncovering the lies his mother and father used to protect him. The outcome is something he never imagined but the truth makes sense.

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson. I loved this book, the storyline and most definitely the characters. I found myself invested in Becky’s career and most certainly her life. I felt that at times, I was on a roller coaster of emotions. Becky has a lot going on in her career and her life and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This was a new author to me and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to much more.

This book took some unexpected turns and had me hooked early on. Valerie is a social worker, who keeps people at a distance because of things that happened to her in her past. She does have a cat that she is very close to. She is told she has to run a trauma support group and she finds herself apprehensive in her ability to this. This story deals with some serious issues that might be difficult for some people. There are also other characters in this book that help bring this story to life. Valerie finds that some boundaries are getting blurred in certain situations. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that this is a must read and I cannot wait to find out what’s coming next. This is a well written story that has your emotions going up and down throughout the story. I highly recommend this book.

Stepbrother by Stacy McWilliams is the first book in the Step Dilemma series. It is a contemporary romance with drama, angst, and complex family dynamics. This is my first read by Ms. McWilliams, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into the story. I like to explore all kinds of stories and genres, so when this book popped up on my social media feed I thought “Why not?”. I think the cover is quite lovely, and found that Ms. McWilliams writes beautifully. But unfortunately, I just couldn’t get into this story. I didn’t, and couldn’t, connect with the characters at all. Although I really felt for Bailey and how she was treated by Cooper, as well as her family- I became really frustrated by her ‘doormat-ish’ attitude. Cooper was such a jerk and really annoyed me, so even when he improved, I was still so angry with him that he had no chance of winning me over. The characters were a little immature and childish for my liking- I spent a lot of the time just wanting to smack their heads together. I so wanted to love this book, but my head and heart just weren’t into it. I will give this a few weeks and then read it again, in the hopes that I was just having a bad book day this time around. Bailey and Conner’s story is set to continue in book #2.

Bottomed Out by Brooke May was a great 5 star read and book four in the Moto X series. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
Jax was a moto racer who had it all, women, money and so much more. That is until someone made a wrong move during a race and caused an accident that changed his whole life. He is tired of everyone giving him the pity looks at treating him differently. He is determined to prove that his disability won’t keep him down.
When he meets Lennox things change, she is just what he needs in his life. You can feel their connection come off the pages. She was a great character with a great personality. Only problem is her brother. Will he be able to make things work with Lennox?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. All of the characters were great. It can be read as a stand alone. If you’re looking for a great romance and a story about determination and moving forward this is the one for you. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

5 Star A Book Signing To Die For: Beach Reads by Judy Moore is a cozy mystery that I found myself pulled in from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading.,I literally was up wee hours into the night reading. I’ve read a couple of this authors books but this one is by far my favorite. I absolutely loved the character Beck. Beck and her grandmother own Beach Read bookstore and they live upstairs. After a well known Author comes for a book signing one of the people who attended comes up dead. Beck decides to do her own investigating into the murder. Will she solve the mystery of who did it? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I look forward to reading more.

Grace’s Ghosts by Stephenie Wilson Peterson was an easy 5-star read. Grace was a magnificent character who had unique abilities. I loved following along as this young girl discovered herself, her family secret, and a way to end a curse. She changed so much from the start if the story and strengthened bonds as time went on. This book was magical and difficult to put down. This author amazed me with this book and I can’t wait to read more from her in the future. I recommend this book.

Bottomed Out is the fourth book in the Moto X series by Brooke May. This was a wonderful story between Jax Hunt and Lennox Austin. Jax is disabled and is just trying to prove he can do anything that a fully able person can. He wants to change and has a wonderful support system behind him in his friends and family. Just when he is willing to push the limit, Lennox comes into his life. His attraction to Lennox becomes just as important to him as his mission to prove the world wrong about his disability. Jax has an overprotective brother that could get in the way between him and Lennox, but is he willing to risk it all to reach his dreams and goals? The author did a magnificent job portraying Jax’s feelings. Throughout the whole story I was able to feel right along with him. Jax was a true inspiration and it was a great story of his personal growth. There was laughter, there were tears, and there were true heartwarming moments as I experienced the relationship of Jax and Lennox.

Boundaries is the opening act to Jessica Aiken-Hall’s Scope of Practice series that will haunt you for a very long time and you will look for the next one in the series, impatiently. I had read Jessica’s debut story when I picked up Boundaries so I prepared myself … She touches upon topics that are very painful, it tears your heart out and leaves you questioning the humanity. Boundaries gives us a social worker Valerie Williamson, who is introverted and overworked and … you so totally get her ways once you know what demons she battles herself. Her boss tells her to start a trauma support group and she doesn’t have a choice and of course the traumas the women in her group have experienced… well, yes, I have no issues with her breaking some of the boundaries that ordinary should not be broken … sometimes justice is simply not delivered … I hope Jessica does not keep us waiting too long as there are so many threads to be wove into a thrilling tapestry!

I loved reading the book Summer’s Stolen (Seasons of Magic Book 2) by Sarah Biglow. It is a story that has mystery and magic. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had finished the final page. This book had me hooked and wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the character of Detective Ezri Trenton. Ezri is trying to balance her role as the Savior and her duties as a cop. When young girls in the community are reported missing, she is determined to solve the case and bring them home. This also has her teamed up with FBI Agent Cartwright. Can Ezri trust Agent Cartwright? Why are the young girls taken and will Ezri find them? Read this book to find out. One of the reasons that Ezri is such an amazing character is that she is strong, independent, kind, and when on a case has a fierce determination to solve it. I was rooting for Ezri the entire time. The author does a wonderful job of not only writing an amazing storyline, I felt like I was right there with Ezri. There are other characters that Ezri interacts with who I enjoyed reading about as they are helpful to the case and support Ezri. Others have an agenda and they must be stopped. Will they? Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining read. I highly recommend reading this book.

The story Golden Void (Black Blade Book 3) by Alexander Charalambides is a YA/fantasy book. It is a story that pulls you in from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is a story that has action, danger, and magic. I loved reading about the character of Megan. She is a teen who has just be adopted and also is on a second Quest involving mystery, murder, and swords. As the quest continues, she has started asking herself who her real enemy is? What does the future hold for Megan? Read this book to find out. The author of this story does an amazing job in world-building as well as writing in great detail. I felt like I was right there with Megan and those who are on the Quest with her. This is a book that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I grew to care about what happened to Megan and rooting for her to succeed. Many characters interact with Megan and I couldn’t help but wonder about some of their motives. Megan is a character that wants a better life and also is facing her fears. I found my emotions going up and down as she tries to navigate her way. Don’t miss out on an awesome fantasy book that will have you hooked. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3) by India Kells. It is a paranormal/romance story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Finn O’Malley and Violet Shaughnessy. Finn is one of the oldest vampires to walk the earth. He finds himself ready to put an end to himself. Then a call comes out of the blue, the one who will have Finn rushing to her side, Violet. Violet is a witch whose parents were killed by a vampire. That makes her question her involvement and feelings for Finn. Both Finn and Violet can’t seem to stay away from each other. There is a definite connection and pull towards each other. They find themselves working together to find out who has condemned Violet. What does the future hold for Violet and Finn? Will Finn save Violet? Will Violet convince Finn that their love is worth living for? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me wondering what was going to happen next and how it all would end up. I grew to care about Finn and Violet with each chapter that I read and wanted them to be happy. Other characters interact with Violet and Finn who I enjoyed reading about as they are friends and helpful to them. There are surprises that I didn’t see coming as well as some very steamy romance. This is an amazing story that has unforgettable characters. I highly recommend reading it.

This is the second book in this series. I enjoyed it just as much as the first. This author has impressed me with writing skills and attention to details that make me feel as if I was part of the story. I had no issues connecting with the characters. They brought the story to life and had me turning pages fast. Ezri is back in this fantasy story. She is still trying to find a balance with her mystical powers as she takes her place on the council. When children start coming up missing, she doesn’t hesitate to take the case. Now she has 48 hours to find who’s behind it. Will she get the edge over the enemy? This is a fast paced story that you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

This is the fifth book in this series. This series can be read as a standalone but they are awesome books which I highly suggest reading all previous books. This is one of my go to authors for hot, steamy romance stories. This is a well written story that has characters that make you feel part of the story. They have great chemistry and I had no problems connecting with them. In this story we get to see Makenna and Ty’s story. They are having their bachelorette and bachelor parties at Spicetopia. They are about to have the time of their lives but when the dice are rolled all bets could be off and even a wedding. These are two of my favorite characters, they bring heat and romance to a new level. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Madeline and Mike are at it again. Madeline is searching for a missing young lady, who has been missing for 12 years. She knows something is amiss as she has not touched any of her money. Just not right. Mike on the other hand is searching for his cousin’s missing girlfriend and her sister. Both investigations come on the same day, 3 ladies missing and a small trail takes off. Will all 3 ladies be unharmed? Killed? Runaways?
Cynthia Hamilton has done it again. Her book is loaded with suspense and crime. I love her characters and the story that is wrapped around them. This story never stops, it is smooth, terrifying, tense, and builds a roller coaster. At different points of this book I had fought many emotions. Now I am looking forward to book 4. Great story Cynthia Hamilton!

Book two of Manda Mellett exciting ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series is Drummer’s Beat. In this book we are introduced to the MC’s President, Drummer who has yet to find a women strong enough to be his ‘Old Lady’ until he meets Sam a fellow biker broken down at the side of the road. To make things complicated she claims to be another member, Vipers daughter. This storyline is a bit darker as it involves a sex trafficking ring and Drummer must find Sam before she’s lost to him forever. The storyline is fast paced and there are a host of amazing characters from officers, prospects and patched members of the Satan’s Devils and their Old Ladies to the club sweet butts. All the characters are well developed and have their own backstories which adds to the overall storyline. As the characters come into each book it is more enjoyable to read the series in order, however each book is a standalone story. Drummer’s Beat is full of drama, action, suspense and of course romance and plenty of steamy scenes between Drummer and Sam. The storyline does take you on an emotional rollercoaster as the characters are so well developed and described by Mellett that you feel as though they are old friends. Looking forward to book three.

Turning Wheels, introduces us to the Satan’s Devils MC and is the first book in Manda Mellett’s ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone story but the characters do crossover and it is more enjoyable if you read the books in order. In this book the club and its members are seen through the eyes of a disabled English woman, Sophie who is under their protection. Sophie is still coming to terms with being in a wheelchair and is overwhelmed at suddenly being in the middle of an American MC. We meet Wraith, the VP, who shows Sophie that her disability doesn’t define her. Wraith try’s to fight his attraction but when he needs to protect her from enemies he can not deny their chemistry. Satan’s Devils are “hot alpha males who certainly aren’t shy in the bedroom”, and one by one they meet their strong feisty women, “who they want to ride with through life”. The storyline is fast paced and there are a host of amazing characters from officers, prospects and patched members of the Satan’s Devils and their Old Ladies to the club sweet butts. All the characters are well developed and have their own backstories which adds to the overall storylines. The story is full of drama, action, suspense and of course romance and plenty of steamy scenes as the chemistry between Sophie and Wraith sizzled off the page. I felt completely immersed in the Satan’s Devils world and found Mellett to be a wonderful writer, world builder and storyteller. I look forward to the rest of the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this first book in Aiken-Hall’s new series, ‘Scope of Practice’. Valerie Williamson works at Lawrenceville Regional Hospital and is known as the ‘Anti-social Social Worker’ by her colleagues. Having experienced a traumatic event sixteen years ago Valerie has closed herself off from everyone, except for Gabriel, her cat. Valerie’s job as a deceased patient coordinator makes her more comfortable with the dead than the living. However when she is asked to start up a trauma support group, she wonders how she can comfort people with trauma, when she can’t even talk about her own past. When the death of a nineteen year old, Carmen Davidson plays on Valerie’s mind she lets the detective, Tim that she’s been pushing away get closer to her as they try to get to the bottom of Carmen’s death. Valerie is concerned that her boundaries are blurring. This novel has a fast paced storyline with plenty of suspense, mystery, action, and great characters. Valerie is a very realistic character who you can relate to and I liked how her relationship with Tim developed during the story. Although the book does deal with issues surrounding mental health, trauma and grief it is dealt with honestly and sensitively. The narrative also has plenty of humour along with the drama. I was hooked from page one and found myself completely immersed in the story. I look forward to future books in this series.

Wow this book is an amazing story about trauma in a person’s life and how it has a lasting effect on the person.
Val is a social worker at the hospital. When her boss wants her to set up a trauma support group Val isn’t happy about it. The reason Val has suffered trauma in her life and she doesn’t want to relive it.
However the group gets formed and as time grows and she hears the stories of the ladies there she begins to open up and share her own story.
At the same time a young woman turns up at the hospital as a suicide however Val doesn’t believe thats the case and can’t shake the feeling something more happened.
This book is full of hurt, and pain as the women tell their stories, it got romance as Val finally let’s the walls down with Tim and its got revenge.
The question becomes when and if she crosses the boundaries between professional and personal and what the consequences are if she does.
