A Book Signing To Die For by Judy Moore a five-star Beach Read. This is a charming cozy mystery set in the small town of Mantee Beach and this is all about how there was a book signing with a popular cozy mystery author Marcia Graybill, with book shop co-owner Beck and the other co-owner her Grandma Alice and all seems to be going well, this pairing is just so nicely done, I don’t know if I could live and work with my Grandma, but I think as Lizzie Beck’s sister just adds to the whole story. Anyhoo, after the signing one of the people who attended turns up dead, que Beck finding her dreams coming true, as a closet detective she gets to put her mind to it. Que red herrings and twists galore and you have a great story, honestly it will keep you hooked, and you will be kept guessing as to who is the killer!!! This was a great story and I will be keeping an eye out for Judy Moore.

5 Star Winter’s Wolf (The Cursed Series Book 1) by Lou Grimes is a Paranormal story that pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading till the end. There’s a bit of everything from suspense to mystery, drama and even action. This is my first read by this Author and definitely will not be my last. I normally don’t go for the shape shifter but the more I read the more I find myself drawn to them. Louvette and her mom are constantly moving because she can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Just as they are fixing to move again a lawyer shows up on their doorstep with an opportunity they can’t pass up or can they? Find out what happens next in this must read. The Labyrinthine Journey is the second book in the Servant of the Gods series by Luciana Cavallaro. It is an epic fantasy filled with adventure, ancient history, mythology, gods, drama, danger, prophecy, ancient relics, and more. Even though this is the second book in the series and continues Evan’s adventure, Ms. Cavallaro does a great job of ‘catching us up’ on the events in book one- so this can be read as a standalone if that’s what you wanted, without feeling lost in the story. Ms. Cavallaro’s attention to detail and obvious love of ancient history really brings this story to life. She proves to be quite knowledgeable about this era- and all the wonderful descriptive detail and snippets of history really add to the atmosphere and feel of the story. It was so easy to be ‘in’ the story, and ‘see’ everything as it was unfolding. I love ancient history, and that was one of the things that drew me to this book. Evan is a 21st century architect who has been transported through time, back to ancient Greece- where he finds himself on a mission from the Gods. This quest, to find the ancient relics and save the Gods, proves to be quite the epic adventure. It will test him like nothing before, and he will need to dig deep if he is to succeed, and survive. Looking forward to book #3!

Swallowed by a Secret by Risa Nyman was a fantastic read! Definitely a point of view change, but that made it so much more fun! I loved the details and mystery that Rocky is trying to solve. I loved the plot twists and felt really satisfied at the end. I could not put the book down, such a great read!

This story grabbed me from the beginning and kept me intrigued throughout the entire read. This book is full of action, suspense, mystery and more. Given the circumstances Louvette handled the information well when she found out she was a lupine and had no idea until now. She has more questions than answers about her father and grandfather. There are other wonderful characters in this book that make this story that much better. I found myself turning pages while on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. I absolutely enjoyed reading this well written story and can’t wait to read what’s next. I highly recommend this book!!

Heart of Malice (Alice Worth Book 1) by Lisa Edmonds was an excellent 5-star read. This book was exciting, engaging, and creative. I loved Alice, Malcom, Sean, and all the characters in this novel. They were well thought out and had excellent development. This book was addictive and I had a hard time putting it down. I loved it! The storyline had a great plot and climax. I can’t wait to see what this author has for us next.

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell was a fantastic read! I loved the plot and the subject of memory. I found the story fast paced but very intricate. Lucy and Marco were well written. I loved the author’s attention to detail and twists and suspense.
The Labyrinthine Journey (Servant of the Gods Book 2) by Luciana Cavallaro. This is the 2nd book in the Servant of the Gods series and its so good. In this installment we find that Evan’s new life is in ancient Greece and he’s afraid he will never see his home again. Evan is born to divine parents but he is completely human and his enemies are so much more powerful than he is. He has been taken from his normal world and thrown into a world with mythical creatures, fabled warriors and sorcery. Evan must take a wild trek around ancient times Greece with one goal in mind…to save the Olympian Gods from destruction. Evan has to accept that Zeus is his father, endure terrible pain and accept help from the Mother Goddess all in his quest to preserve the legacy of the gods by recovering 2 ancient sacred relics. If he does this Zeus may allow him to return home. Will Evan succeed or will he be stuck in this crazy ancient Greek world forever. This was a fast paced adventure that I’m sure you will love.

In fact I read it in one setting leaving me a little book hungover the next day but it was worth it. Its the story of Melinda a psychologist turned matchmaker. Melinda is trying to put her life back together after losing her Police Officer husband to a horrible accident. She has moved to the small town of Chester and has made a name for herself as a matchmaker. While attending one of the matches wedding’s she is introduced to Adam a former Marine who is new to town. He is best friends with the groom and decides he needs to have Melinda fix him up. Once they meet they become fast friends and Melinda sets out to find Adam his perfect match. Adam is keeping a secret though, something very important to him was lost during his time in the Marines. He’s scared to be honest about it because of the way his last girlfriend responded. As Adam goes on dates that Melinda has set up he realizes that maybe Melinda is the one for him not these other women. Will Melinda realize its time to find love for herself and move on or will the secret Adam is harboring tear them apart. This is a sweet contemporary romance that I couldn’t put down!

I have yet to read a Judy Moore mystery novel that I didn’t love and A Book Signing to Die For: Beach Reads, is no exception to the rule. This book has all the things that I want when I sit down with a good hearty mystery novel. I loved that this was something I could lay out in the sun and soak up and feel as if I was right there in Florida at Beach Reads enjoying my very own novel.
We follow Beck who owns Beach Reads in a quaint Florida town with her grandmother. This is the ideal place to find the perfect read and enjoy a snack or drink with like minded people. Beck is excited to host a book signing for a very famous cozy mystery author. What she doesn’t see coming will change everything for her. Will things get better or will her life take a spiral downwards. I loved this novel and how it weaved the mystery so well that most of the time when I thought I had it figured all out I would still be pleasantly surprised that things did not turn out the way I had anticipated. I didn’t know what I was going to get when I downloaded Deleted by Ruth Mitchell, as I have never read anything from her before. All I knew was that the cover and small blurb drew me right in and I had to know what the meat of the story would contain. I am glad that I took the chance because this book was outstanding. I love so much that it is written in a young adult geared direction so I can share this with my daughters if I chose to at some point and know they will also love this novel and get something from it.
This book takes a dive deep into a work where technology is running things. We end up following Lucy, Marco, and Nick as they work through their memories and try to decide what is real and what is not. These three were so much fun to read and really engaged the reader as they traversed through the new world they are reading. I will definitely be on the lookout for more novels from Ruth Mitchell in the very near future.

India Kells is a go-to author of mine so any book I get the chance to read I jump at.
Blind Magic is book 2 in The Sanctuary Chronicles Series, and by some chance, I missed book 1 and dove straight into Book 2 but boy this wasn’t an issue!
I absolutely loved this read, I couldn’t put it down, I was utterly captivated and entranced by this storyline and these brilliant characters. This is an epic mentally visual read that transported me into this world where I followed along with the characters’ journeys and didn’t want them it to end! This book had everything you could need from a supernatural/paranormal romance read, it has action, adventure, romance, twists and turns, mystery & magic, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single second of it!
I highly recommend this read and can’t wait to dive into Book 3!

I really enjoyed this story. Its full of secrets and adventure.
Louvette has always been seen as a trouble maker. She has been kicked out of more schools that you can think of and she thinks everything is lost.

I loved this book. This is an author that is becoming one of my favorites. I enjoy her attention to details as well as how well written her stories are. I have no problem connecting with the characters. They made me feel as if I was part of the story which made it engaging and easy to read. This is a mystery, suspenseful story that kept me turning pages to the end. There is alot going on in this book but I had no problems keeping up. Agent Cate has a new assignment of finding missing socialites but it could put a strain on her relationship with Warren. The Vice President is telling a tale of an underwater city named Matimus. Problem is how do they find it? Survival becomes a race against time to bring out the enemy and into their trap. What happens you will never see coming. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I loved this anthology. This is eight great stories by some awesome authors. Each one brings romance and heat to the story. The characters pop off the pages and into your heart. They are written with a lot of heart and soul which makes them easy to read. My favorite is by Tamara Ferguson- Two Heart’s Alliance. This story pulled me in right from the beginning. This is a story about a marriage of convenience and someone who wants to destroy that. Can it be more than an alliance for them or could there be more? My other favorite story is Natalie Ann’s – Eternal. I had no problem connecting with the characters and fell in love with them. This is a story about two people who say love is not for them but will they change their minds? What will fate have in store for them? I enjoyed all of the stories and I highly recommend it.
This book was enjoyable from the first page to the last page. Young adult books are becoming a genre for everyone. I tend to read the books before I let my daughters read them. In this book, there are tender moments, trouble times, and emotional roller coaster rides.The characters are easy to relate to and believable. This story is about Rocky. Rocky’s father has just passed away. He thought he knew his father, until he overheard his mother talk about his father. Rocky is now in a new neighborhood, new school, and has this hanging over his head. He heads on an adventure with his friend Olive to find out the truth about his father. I highly recommend this story for middle school age and older children.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m going back to read book 1 immediately! I loved this book- from the way she wrote the story itself to the characters I met. You get such a range of emotions from this book- sappy, sexy, serious- it’s a win all the way around. The story follows Milo and Jill, two people who haven’t seen each other for the last 12 years. Both of these characters were written so perfectly- with flaws and all. If you’ve never read Sylvie Stewart- you NEED to!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it! I was a really easy read and had wonderful characters. The authors writing style was really relaxed which made the book such a pleasure to read and that along with the pace and flow definitely made it a 5 star read in my opinion. I think I fell in love with Melinda and Adam from the very beginning, both of them with their own issues to overcome and I could feel the genuine connection that they seemed to have. This was a really lovely second-chance romance story and one that I would absolutely recommend to other readers! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Winter’s Wolf: The Cursed book 1 by Lou Grimes is a 5 star read. Louvette Lynskey has been expelled from another school for fighting, so as her and her mother are planning on moving to another town they are approached by a lawyer for the grandfather Louvette never knew existed, he tell them that her grandfather Wilder has passed away and left everything to her. They decide to move to Wilder’s home and start fresh, attending another new school Louvette meets Arsen, who knows more about Louvette’s family than she does, but there are other secrets that are revealed to her but she’s left not knowing who she can trust. This is the debut novel by this author and it was amazing, the storyline was well thought out and the characters really were easy to connect with, I can’t wait for book 2.

When you feel more comfortable dealing with the dead than the living, will she ever be able to deal with the hurt that is inside her.
Valerie is a social worker but with a difference she deals with the dead, with her office near the morgue and her colleagues calling her the “Anti-social Social Worker” she can’t understand why she has been asked to run a support group. She worries that she has not yet dealt with her tragedies in life so how is she supposed to get these young people to open up about there problems.
While she discovers the death of a nineteen year old girl she wonders and investigates what gone on but she can’t do this alone so she asks for help from her friend and detective, then things start to get real with Valerie having to deal with issues she has buried for a long time and will she finally get to the bottom of the mystery.
I loved this story and the characters worked well together, the subject matter was well written and had me turning the pages to try and get to the next instalment in the story. The twists and turns of the mystery added excitement to the story and a good foundation to the story. This is the first book I have read by this author and can’t wait to read the next book in the series and hopefully carry on this wonderful journey with Valerie and friends.

Violet Shaughnessy is a witch with flaming red hair and a temper to match it. She is the first one to offer help to a friend in need, but not normally very good at asking for it in return, this until her world is turned upside down and a war begins inside of her that she cannot control, or decide what the outcome will be.
Finn O’Malley is one of the oldest vampires around, he has seen it all, done it all and all that is left now is to disappear and not to bother with his undead life anymore, this is until he hears Violet screaming through their blood bond. He realises that helping her is the last thing that he will do and even out the score for her sharing her blood with him and saving him in the past.
This unlikely pairing shows the other that they have to work together in order to overcome the barriers and challenges they will face, but working together, can they embrace the other, accept what needs to be accepted and face the outcome of that internal war?
This is one pairing which will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the tug of war is played out and keeps you guessing as to the who’s, whats, where’s and why’s are slowly revealed.

We first meet Sera in the Sanctuary where she lives and join her as she wakes before sunrise and decides that she is going to go down to the kitchen for a cup of tea and to make some notes on her current research project.
It is on her way here that Ian Macon finds her and cannot turn away from the light she shines on him, the question is, does he want to? He is still torn up about losing his wife and mate and is caught between that and his wolf’s reaction to the light in Sera.
This is where the story really begins, as Sera loses an important part of who she is and discovers feelings that threaten to overwhelm her. She will need to uncover her past, present and future, how they all link together and what the consequences of these may be. While she does this, she is surrounded by friends and allies who rally around her and will protect her at all costs, but what will the costs be and how will she know what the right choices are?
You will be taken on a whirlwind ride and be there with her step by step as you become engrossed in the story, the characters and the world in which they all live. A definite page turner that keeps you guessing right until the end.

I got very little sleep last night because of this book. I just wanted to start it so that when I got up this morning I could jump in having already begun. NOPE, I literally read the whole thing, I could not put it down. This is my first ever read by this author, and I think my first middle grade book ever, I’d have to double check that but I am telling you right now..Trust me on this, I don’t care how old you are this was an outstanding book. The writing was phenomenal which is why I couldn’t put it down. Then I fell asleep sniffling because I bawled at the end.
I just wanted to jump in the book and hug Rocky so many times, I also wanted to play his chauffeur and wanted so badly to jump in the middle of his and Olive’s plans. Olive scared me at first, I wasn’t sure, but she turned out to be exactly what I’d hoped for. Then there was Max, again he scared me, but his character has given me hope that maybe there will be more? My heart also broke for Mom once I finally understood everything that was going on. I can’t even imagine!
Run, don’t walk and grab this book. It really is amazing, and I will be getting copies for my older grandchildren who I know would love it as much as I did.

The first couple chapters took me a bit, but once I got through that the book got so much better. Louvette and her mother Sarah are struggling and having to move often due to Louvette’s propensity to get into fights at school. This all changes when they are given the chance to start over due to a death in Louvette’s family. The new chance isn’t just a new home but a different life all together. As Louvette tries to be a better daughter and not get into fights at school, she finds some amazing friends with amazing secrets that also relate to her anger issues. The story gets you and keeps you guessing what will they learn next.

Swallowed by a Secret by Risa Nyman was such a surprising read- in a great way. It is a highly emotive story aimed at tweenage children (9 – 13), but can also be enjoyed by older readers, like me, too. Rocky’s life is turned upside down by the death of his father. He and his mother have to move house, and he has a new school to adjust to. But on top of all that, there’s quite a big secret surrounding the death of his father, and that everything he though he knew, may not be true. He is determined to uncover the truth and get to the bottom of it all. And so starts his ‘adventure’. Along with his friend Olive- they set off to unravel the mystery and find the truth. This is such a relatable story. Rocky and Olive are really wonderful characters. Rocky’s story is very engaging and I was totally invested in the outcome of it all- but I think that Olive really stole the show. She was that extra ingredient that took this story from interesting, to impressive. The story includes some sensitive and difficult topics- which I think the author handled in a considerate, yet realistic way. This is definitely worth the read. But, be sure to have some tissues on standby, as you are going to need them.

Its not like I don’t already have enough series that I must keep up with, but, Winter’s Wolf (The Cursed Series Book 1) by Lou Grimes has been added to the list. This is a great shifter story and if the next ones are as good as this one this will shape up to be a really good series. The characters are all interesting and well tailored. Although there are many characters the focus is on the main ones with just enough information to start your anticipation for the next book in this really excellent series. The romance between Louvette and Arsen is very palpable and so very sweet. Some good clean love without the icky factor, may be what I love about this book the most. A very enjoyable read.
