New Jerk in town (Carolina Kisses book 2) by Sylvie Stewart is a 4 star read. Milo and Jill knew each other as teenagers and didn’t part on good terms, 12 years later they’re thrown together again and there’s still some animosity, but there’s also the fact that they each felt the other was the one who got away. I loved reading the back story and seeing how they get to where they are now. This book was well written and the characters were well developed, this is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more from her.

Where has Elaine Marie been? I have definitely missed some goodies here as this is my first but definitely not my last read by Elaine Marie. She has a writing style that reminds me of an author I adored as a young teen and I have missed that sort of heart string pulling writing in my life. Sunshine Kisses will make you feel all the feels and give you plenty of moments to smile as well to balance the devastating story line that runs at the center of the novella. Now it is a novella so you will want to give yourself a few hours to dive in and devour this gem uninterrupted. I know that I did and I was so glad to not have had to be torn away one moment from the story of Crystal and Spencer.
Crystal has a life altering and well eventually ending illness that has made her look at life completely differently, as it would obviously do. When the latest news from her doctor is not positive she decides that the upcoming destination wedding of one of her friends is the perfect place to live life with no rules and some abandon. She wants a fling, and only a fling too, but never expected that fling to be with a best friend, Spencer. Can life really go back to normal like nothing ever happened when the wedding comes to an end? This book is a must read for the ones who want to feel the emotion as you read. I recommend you grab a box of tissues before you dive in! I am off to grab the first in this series!

I can never seem to find the right words to express how much I love Sylvie Stewart’s rom-coms, but once again I will try my best. I loved book one of the Carolina Kisses series and was super excited when I saw the next one was coming. As soon as it hit my kindle I devoured the book faster than the woman with a sad heart and tub of ice cream. This book had me rolling with laughter and falling head over heels for Jill and Milo! I love the push pull of enemies to lovers novels, and it is perfectly done in this one. It is believable enough that I found myself feeling transformed to the place and time watching as the fabulous and swoony first kiss as well as other favorite moments in the novel that I will save for myself so you can experience them without spoiling! This one is a must read and I would grab book one too if you haven’t picked it up yet, you are gonna want more of this fabulous series!

This is book 2 of the Forgotten Trilogy. The story of Nathan and Bryer continues as their relationship grows stronger Bryers ex Cash returns to try and drive a wedge between the couple.
Cash has wormed his way into Nathan’s company and he tells Bryer that she has something of her mothers. That leads Bryer to follow him and with the help of a storm Bryer and Cash gets snowed into the home with no contact with the outside world.
Over the course of 4 days Cash works on Bryer can he beat her down emotionally and win her over. Will she forget Nathan and go back to her first love or will she remember all the pain Cash caused and her 100% love for Nathan which will bring her home safely.
Its a heartbreaking story but also contains loads of love and proves anything is possible if your love is strong enough.

Sunshine Kisses by Elaine Marie. I absolutely loved the emotions that this book brought out. Can friends have a vacation fling and end it there? Not to mention throw into the equation, he has always wanted her, a serious medical condition, and they both love each other……. I flew through this reading. I fell in love with the characters and the story and shed a few tears along the way!!! Great book and I can not wait for more!!!

5 Star Forgotten Promise Book two: The Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine is a wonderfully written story that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I do recommend reading the first book in this trilogy if you haven’t already. Nathan and Bryer are madly in love with one another, he’s taught her how to trust again. He swears she’s the one and they are going to get a HEA. Then the someone from her past comes a knocking . What will Bryer do? Will she choose him or Nathan? What does the future look like for these two? My emotions were all over the place, Cash is very manipulative in getting what he wants. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this Trilogy.

Renee Regent has written this beautiful love story. I really enjoyed reading this story as it unfolded. The book captured my heart from the start. Seeing both sides of Audrey and Silas’ story, has opened the heart of all those who read it. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. As it left me hopeful of people making better choices and falling in love.

This story was amazing! Let me just say if you haven’t read the first two books in this series you really need to. The books in this series can be read as standalones but why wouldn’t you read them all because they are all awesome, plus you have well rounded information of all the characters and their relationships. This particular book had me on a roller-coaster of emotions. There is suspense, danger, twists and turns and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. There are some unexpected gut wrenching moments in this story. This author did an exceptional job pulling me in and keeping me enthralled, she writes such gripping and compelling stories that I don’t want it to end. I will definitely be reading more books by this talented author. I highly recommend this book.

This is a lovely modern day fairytale with a difference, in that the main character, the princess Misty Miles has a disability. Misty is the the princess of a faraway land known as Starryton and for twenty one years she has been in a tower and her disability and her wheelchair have been hidden from the kingdom. Her parents are worried that the monarchy will look weak and even though her parents have hidden her away to protect her it has left Misty feeling that she is unable to do anything. Misty’s Prince Charming, Derrick Denison is the prince of the neighbouring kingdom of Mooncrest and he’s a gifted dancer. Misty and Derrick have not actually ever met. To make things more complicated there has been a long running feud between Misty and Derrick’s families. The conflict caused the once beloved kingdom of Starrycrest to break apart into two separate kingdoms. Having realised that she must take matters into her own hands Misty visits a troll, Trovella who is rumoured to grant wishes for a price. This wish sends the princess off on an exciting and dangerous adventure and in the process she battles her own self doubt and learns that she is far more capable than she ever imagined. As well as dealing with feuding families, a disability, and ensuring no harm comes to her or Derrick’s kingdoms, along the way Misty encounters a little girl with her own disability who is in need of a forever family of her own. This is a fairly quick read but the author has packed so much into the pages of this young adult story and as an older adult I was absolutely hooked from page one. I found it both a lovely romantic story with plenty of action and also an inspiring read. The fact that the main character has a disability is sadly a rare thing in a book and this in itself makes Allison M. Boot’s novel unique. The author has written about the disability with such sensitivity and honesty that she has bought disability awareness to the reader along with a wonderful storyline and likeable, realistic characters. I was very impressed with this novel and I hope it makes other readers feel as empowered as the princess becomes in the story and educates young readers that disabilities do not need to hold a person back from fulfilling their potential.

This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I absolutely love small town romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of Finding Love in Green Springs and it was a perfect beginning to a great series. I could not help but to fall in love with these characters. Meg is very independent with a snarky attitude and Drew is a southern gentleman. Once I started this story I could not put it down. It only took me a full day to devour this incredible book. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this awesome series.
Meg is very strong but when tragedy strikes twice she becomes lost. She finds herself broken so she packs up and goes on a road trip. Meg finds herself in the small town of Green Springs. She is only staying a couple of days but when she meets Drew she can’t help the connection she feels for him. Meg gets used to this small town living but she gets scared at forgetting her past. Not So Far by Renee Regent is the third book in the Love Grows series. This book is a great addition to the series and really will keep you turning the pages. Audrey and Silas are two great characters. There is something about them that just draws you in and makes you want to read about them. They have to be my favourite couple of the series, making this book the best as well. This author has created a brilliant series, one that is highly enjoyable with strong characters and interesting story lines. Personally I think they are best read in order although they could all be stand-alones. I would highly recommend both this book and series.

I really enjoyed reading the unique stories in this anthology. Each one transforms the original tale of Hansel & Gretel into something completely different. Each author touches on a different theme and will make you feel different emotions. Some made me laugh, while another made me want to cry. It’s certainly a ride down the rabbit hole.
This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. This is a young adult science fiction story that has a little twist of mystery to it. This is a well developed story that is engaging and keeps me turning pages. The characters made the story feel realistic. Lucy has learned to be a mindhack. The problem is she deletes everyone’s minds including her boyfriends. Now there is a mindhacker who is after her but he does this for profit so it up the stakes some. Will he find Lucy and delete her memories? This is a really great story that has some twists and turns you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book.
This can be read as a standalone story but some of the characters cross over from previous books in Stewart’s ‘Carolina Kisses’ series. In ‘New Jerk in Town’ Jill, the younger sister to Jenna from ‘The Nerd Next Door’ is the focus of the story. Jill is a natural flirt but seeing Milo Papatonis again she’s reminded that he is the king of all jerks. Surly, rude, selfish, and extremely attractive Milo crushed Jills dreams when they were children had now she’s being forced to share a house with him. Thankfully the situation is only for business and is temporary, however that dose not stop Milo’s bad manners effecting Jill or picturing him in the shower, or imagining his smile, no Jill is definitely not going there. This is a fun sexy, enemies to lovers romance with plenty of comedy thrown in and steamy scenes as neither Milo or Jill can deny their obvious attraction to each other and their chemistry sizzles off the page. I was cheering the main characters on hoping they both got their HEA, and the secondary characters are all intriguing as well and I hope to see them pop up in future books in this series. A great read for some escapism.

Nathan and Bryer think they finally can start finding they’re happily ever after. But Cash is still lurking around finding a way to be 2 steps ahead of them. Will Nathan and Bryer ever truly be done with Cash or will Cash find a way to destroy their relationship?
I’m not a huge suspense romance fan but Virginia’s writing as me wanting more. I can’t wait to see what will happen next with this couple.

New Jerk In Town by Sylvie Stewart a flipping five-star read. This is number two in the Carolina Kisses series, I have read and enjoyed this author before but there was something special about this one, something that just made e smile more than the others. I adored the slow burn romance and the flashbacks made the story for me, they just added this extra layer that helped me get to know and understand Milo and Jill, it gave the story the depth it needed. I loved how it was light but there was an underlying tension that peaked and flowed and just gave it the realness that made you care so deeply for them all. This will have you laughing out loud and holding your heart and hoping it doesn’t break, there is just something about this story and something special about all of the characters, I can easily say that this was my favourite read by this author.

This book is a contemporary fairytale as it takes you down an action-packed adventure. It’s witty, funny, full of romance, wonderful characters and is completely entertaining! I love this story of acceptance, love and triumph.

These books are kickass! I’m obsessed with Cynthia Hamilton’s writing in the way she captures Madeline’s life. Performing two jobs at the same time, private eye and event coordinator, Madeline is at a weekend-long birthday party for a movie director’s wife when she must track down not only the family’s jewels but also track down a murderer. Madeline works beside the local police department where she finds there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to her clients. If that’s not enough, Madeline’s old abductor was released after striking a deal with the feds. Lionel Usherwood is on the path for revenge, if she doesn’t have enough on her plate as it is as Lionel already killed Rick Yeoman but now Lionel is out for Madeline’s blood next. This book is filled with mystery, action, and suspense all in one! Great read: Original story, entertaining, and realistic.

The story Deleted by Ruth Mitchell is an interesting and entertaining book to read. It is a story that pulls you in from the start and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the character of Lucy. She is a girl who finds herself deleted from the memory of those around her. What does the future hold for Lucy? Read this book to find out. This story had me on the edge of my seat. Reading about Lucy and what she goes through had me thinking about what would happen if lives and memories could be rewritten. The book is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. Besides Lucy there are other characters that I enjoyed reading about. They interact with Lucy and each has their part to play. This is a story that will hook you in and you won’t want to put it down. I highly recommend reading it.

This was a gripping story from the beginning. It kept me hooked.
Raina is a young woman who has a troubling past. A accident caused by her when she was 18 has left her filled with guilt.
One night as she drives home she hits a person who runs into the road. The person the gets into her car and orders her to drive at gun point. Scared for her life she does and when she gets the chance she escapes.
The person she run down is Alec and he is wanted for a murder he didn’t commit. People are after him as he has something they want which he leaves in Raina’s car when he runs. So he sets out to find her and the car and get back what is his.
When they meet again, Raina gets swept up into a world of murder and conspiracy where even the police become the enemy. This book is a real page turner that you can’t put down and the twists and truns will keep you guessing right to the end.

Satan’s Devils MC Boxset Books 1-5 by Manda Mellett is a great 5 star read. To get all five of these stories in one book is great, you can finish and move right on to the next one. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. We get so many different topics that all of these bikers face, my emotions were all over the place.
Turning Wheels: This is Sophie and Wraith’s story. Sophie is having a hard time accepting that she is in a wheelchair and feels really down. When Wraith show’s up at her house to protect her from the man that put her in the wheelchair. The more time they spend together the closer they get. We do get some steamy scenes as well.
Drummer’s Beat: This is Sam and Drummer’s story. Drummer tries to fight his attraction to Sam. When Sam ends up being taken by a sex trafficking group, Drummer is determined to find her. Will he finally give in to his feelings?
Slick Running: This is Ella and Slick’s story. I will warn you that there are some dark scenes with this story. Ella ends up leaving, when she contacts the club Slick is standoffish at first. Heart Broken: This is Hearts story and the title fits. I was a wreck reading this story. Heart is recovering from the loss of his wife. When he gets a call from a policy officer things take a twist. Can a biker and a police officer be together?

I read the first book and was completely hooked. I hated Cash right away, what a jerk face. The second book continued the story of Cash’s evil BS but the love between Nathan and Bryer overcame. I love Virginia’s writing style. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page.

Hit and Run by Diane Hester is definitely my favourite story of hers, so far. It is another complex and well-woven thrilling suspense. This gripping story twists and turns so much- it really kept me guessing, running various scenarios through my mind, and wondering how it would all play out in the end. Every time I thought I had it nailed down, Ms. Hester threw in a twist or two and sent me off kilter again. Raina Wilkins life has never been the same since tragedy struck ten years earlier. But, now her life is about to take a deadly turn. While driving home one night, Raina hits a man who ran out of the woods directly in front of her car. And if that’s not bad enough- she is then held at gun point and told to drive. What happens from this point on makes for a thrilling tale of abduction, conspiracy, murder, and mystery. Looking forward to more from Ms. Hester…

New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy by Sylvie Stewart is the second book in the Carolina Kisses series. This is a brilliant and funny book that is sure to leave you a little hot under the collar. This author has done to yet again. This is another amazing book that I was instantly hooked on as soon as I started reading. I loved Milo and Jill – they have to be two of my favourite characters. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and the arguing just made it more so. This was such a fun book to read. And although it had all the usual “serious” scenes in it never felt like it took itself “too” seriously. There were plenty of entertaining, light heated parts to the book. This was well written and a great book to read. As always I will look forward to what is next from this author.

Forgotten Promise by Virginia Wine is the second book in the Forgotten trilogy. This is definitely as good as the first book and certainly kept me reading. Throughout this book the author really knew how to keep you guessing. The whole way through I was rooting for Nathan and Bryer but I also couldn’t shake that niggling feeling that maybe Cash wasn’t going away. It made the book that bit more exciting to read. As with the first I enjoyed the overall story and found the characters to be interesting. I am looking forward to seeing what might be next.

I loved the idea of this book. Two people going at each other like oil and water! I loved their quick witty banter and well actually all interactions. They have an amazing first kiss! What really got me though was that line drive Milo made for her when he backed her against the wall and seared her with his look and lips. Whoa!
There are many cute ideas in here that make it a treasure. The hate-hate relationship. The restaurant….SWiN. I loved the owner and the Bavarian style. I liked that the main character is a diver. That’s different and not highly used. I enjoyed the intricate relationship between Milo and his parents. Well done on weaving that! As well as his friendship with Bran. Lastly but not least are the crossover characters from her other series.
What I didn’t care for were the flashbacks. Some are useful but mostly not. I am NOT a fan of flashbacks at all so I am partially biased here. Sometimes they can be used artfully and smoothly to tell certain aspects or a reason for some problem in the present. Also there seemed to be an large amount thinking in their heads and berating themselves time and again. Too much of that also gets repetitive and old. Just my opinion.
Overall it’s a wonderful story that I enjoyed. I chuckled at their reactions to each other multiple times. Woot woot on the epilogue and the introduction of a certain crossover character the next book(who likes motorcycles and girls) from the Carolina Connections. Looking forward to that!
