I will warn you if abuse of a child is a sensitive topic this book may be hard for you to read. Anne grew up in what appears to be a perfect home on the outside, but behind the door another tail is told. Anne is taken to her Aunt’s house but because she has been home schooled, school is tough. She is sent to a boarding school. This is when it becomes rough for Anne. In this story, Anne is a confused teenager. Zarina Macha does an amazing job with this difficult subject. Her plot line is engaging and I fell in love with the characters. I recommend this story and a box of kleenex.

I love this series. This is not my typical genre but ever since I have started this series, I have been completely invested. The details of the adventures, the way the story is told and how each character is described really makes me feel like I am inside the story with them. In this book we meet Fingin and his 2 companions Sean and Bran. They are on a journey to find Fingin’s grandmother who may or may not be real. The friendships that are forged, the adventures that are had, the obstacles they face, make for an awesome story that you will not want to stop. This book can be read as a stand alone but honestly starting from the beginning is the best and it is completely worth it.

Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal romance author who has always been fascinated with things that go bump in the night. Of course, when you grow up next door to a cemetery, the dead (and the undead) are hard to ignore. Pair that with her passion for writing and her love of a good happily-ever-after, and becoming a paranormal romance author seems like the only logical career choice.
Before she decided to turn her love of the written word into a career, Carrie spent the first part of her professional life as a high school journalism and yearbook teacher. She loves good chocolate and bad puns, and in her free time, she likes to read, drink wine, and travel with her family.

Let me catch my breath. This book had me on the edge of my seat, standing up, yelling at the kindle and totally shocked at times. If you want a good read that gets your mind going this would be a good one. Hope Anika has created a story that gets your adrenaline going. The characters are complex and engaging. The plot line twists and turns like a roller coaster, not to mention that the action is great. There is a bank robbery that small town sheriff Beau has to catch the robbers. Enter in Wynn who has her past with law enforcement, on the wrong side but hey that makes her character work. Let’s throw in a murder into the mix and the small time is needing answers. I highly recommend this book. You will have to see what Beau and Wynn find out about what the heck is going on.

I loved this book. This is a M/M romance-suspense story that I couldn’t put down until the last page. I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. It is a well written developed story that has characters that bring the story to life. There are twists and turns that kept me turning the pages just waiting to see what would happen next. Aiden and Neal’s chemistry was awesome. Will they figure out their relationship before they become victims of murder? Bodies are piling up, you don’t want to miss this book. I highly recommend this must read book.
I love paranormal romance, and this book is so different from any others that I have read before. The characters are perfect, and I really like when each chapter tells me whose point of view the story is from. The chemistry between the characters is definitely there and the story is enticing. There are so many humorous scenarios as well. Piper is sassy and spunky and some of her quips are amusing, but at some points I wish she would just stay quiet for her own good. The six brothers all seem protective over her, knowing she is nothing like any of the other maids they have had before, she is not throwing herself at one or all of them. When their older vampire friend Valentine comes to visit, he takes a liking to Piper and now it seems like shit is about to hit the fan, and that is where we leave off with book one. I was so wrapped up in this story I was surprised when it ended. I can’t wait to read the next book of this series and look forward to seeing what becomes of Piper and which brother she ends up with… I would highly recommend this book!

Indebted to the Vampires (The House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford 4 Stars
Piper is in desperate need of a job. When the temp agency sends her on this one, she’s not too happy to be a maid but takes it anyway. The live in position will help her stop living in her car. Cleaning house for a bunch of stuck up rich folk can’t be that bad, right? Stepping into the mansion was like stepping back in time. A butler even greeted her upon arrival. Unfortunately her clumsiness got the better of her and a Qing Dynasty vase became her victim. Piper becomes indebted to not one but five drop dead gorgeous brothers who will do anything to guard their secrets.
The thing that I liked the best about this book is that it’s a slow burn reverse harem. Piper had multiple fantasies about each throughout the book but nothing really happened. The buildup of anticipation is escalating and book two should be fantastic. Piper is headstrong, stubborn and klutzy. She becomes an interesting challenge to the Durand brothers. Each brother is unique in character, I loved them all. My favourite is probably Antoine. When those two connect, it will be electric. I gobbled up the story and before I knew it, I was finished the book. It ends on a cliffhanger which sucks but now I’m anticipating book two. I need to find out what happens. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I enjoyed her writing. I will definitely be searching for more books from her. Review by @Anna Hirsch

With a serial killer on the loose, the baffling mystery of Aiden’s past, and their tenuous budding romance, Aiden and Fouchard tread through a world of magic and myth on padded shoes, terrified to stir up something neither can control or defeat.
Aiden Mercer’s life now centers around lounging on the sunny beaches of his adopted country with a beer in one hand and a coffee in the other while admiring the local male population. After a rough life as a respected detective in DC, playing it cool shouldn’t be too hard, right? With the magical community on his case and dead bodies piling up around town, the responsibility of finding their killer seems fated to fall on him and deny him of his easy living.
Then there is Naël.
Cantankerous merman Naël Fouchard’s life is focused on bringing up and protecting his little sister. When DNA found at the scene of the murders mark him as the prime suspect, Naël seeks out the help of Aiden, whose reputation as a detective grossly belies his lazy lifestyle and apparent lack of ambition.
The chemistry between the strong, stoic Naël and the easygoing Aiden is undeniable, no matter how many walls Aiden builds.
If this unlikely pair can’t come to terms with their feelings for each other long enough to catch the killer, their emotional turmoil might yet allow the murderer to kill them instead.

Druid”s Brooch Series by Christy Nicholas is one of my favorite series. I recommend the entire series as the characters and storylines are engaging and adventurous. This book is no different. The character development makes you feel like you know them personally. In Age of Secrets Christy NIcholas has two unusual characters Bran, who happens to be a dog, and Sean who is a donkey. They are on the adventure with Fingin. This group goes through some twists and turns. Fingin is on an adventure to find his Grandmother. The problem is that his Grandmother may not exist in the world where he is looking for her. I will warn you that you may not put this book down once you start reading it.

TK Lawyer has done it again. Serenade is a paranormal love story that keeps you wondering what will happen next. I find stories about wolves interesting because they look for their mate and will remain alone if they can not find him/her. This story is about Kingsley (a wolf) and Eva (a witch) who gave up finding their soulmate until they found each other. The problem is that wolves and witches do not mix well. Can Kingsley and Eva move beyond the barriers and have a relationship? Is there hope for Kingsley and Eva? I highly suggest this book and I cannot wait to see what TK Lawyer will come up with next.

This is the fourth book in this series and my favorite yet. I highly suggest reading the previous books in order to help understand where the characters are coming from. The characters make the story feel realistic and I had no problem connecting with them. In this book Miles is getting married to Bella. But is she ready for all that comes with marrying him? Life throws them some curveballs that could put their future in danger. This is a fast paced story that had me turning pages fast. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. This is a young adult paranormal story that is engaging and a page turner. This is a well written story about having the fate of bringing peace to a world full of war while at the same time being a good student. The characters are full of magic of different degrees. What will happen when choices need to be made but those magic powers make things difficult for the main character. They bring this story to life and kept me turning pages. I highly recommend finding out what happens next.
Prophecies suck and being the “chosen one”? It’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
I was happy living my simple human life, but—as a Halfling—I can only pretend to be normal for so long. I never had any interest in attending the High Fae Academy for Gifted Supernaturals, but avoidance can only get you so far.
Sure, student life isn’t all terrible. I have five sexy Fae males who all want a piece of me. The only downfall is that I have to choose between them. Not. Easy. Especially when my magic isn’t making my decision any easier. I can control all five elements, and the guys? Well… each facet of my magic draws me to a specific man—to the element’s perfect match.
According to some prophecy I’ve never even heard, I’m destined to end the war between the Light and Dark Fae. Me. A half human.
I’m about to set off on a dangerous and sexy ride that is supposed to bring peace to a war ravaged world all while maintaining a decent grade point average.

Aberration (Aberration Series Book 1) By Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen 5 out of 5 stars
The story Aberration (Aberration Series Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen is an exciting, entertaining, and wonderful book to read. The story grabbed my interest from the beginning and didn’t let go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Anyanka Truman. Her life changed when she found out she is an aberration. It changes, even more, when secrets, new information, and betrayal comes to light. What will happen next? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages. It is fast-paced, and it seems that something is happening all the time. There are times when emotions run high and there is danger. Many other characters interact with Anyanka and I enjoyed reading about them. Anyanka is a character that is smart and independent. She is someone that the others learn to trust. I found myself quickly running out of chapters to read and when I got to the end, I couldn’t help but wish for more. The story is interesting, intriguing, and fun to read. I would highly recommend it.

Erin Bedford is a new author to me. I love her writing style. It is full of details and characters that make the story come alive. The subject is about vampires. Piper works for a temp agency and is a maid. There is a secret among the people she works for and with, and she is trying to figure out how to keep her job. This book is not only a romance story, but a mystery as well. I recommend this story. Erin Bedford has made this story come to life in my mind while I was reading. There is a little bit of a cliffhanger but it keeps you on your toes and makes you want to read book 2 in the process.

It isn’t natural for a seventeen-year-old girl to be without a social life, but there isn’t much natural about me anymore.
I, Anyanka Truman, am an aberration.
Two years ago, my life changed forever. Self-imposed exile seemed to be the only way to keep me safe from people who would use me as a lab rat, and from those who would hate my differences. Solitude became my new normal, the island my domain.
When new information connected to my condition is discovered, the ultimate betrayal is brought to light. Any peace I’d finally gained is shattered. Inevitable circumstances force me to trust outsiders, and I make the only decision I can…

If you are into Supernatural stories, this series is for you. Byrd Nash has an amazing imagination to write this series. Her attention to detail is outstanding. I feel like I am standing right next to the characters and having the adventure with them. Brigit is in trouble and she may have to leave the university. She has to look into this mystery and along the way she recruits Logan and a new girl. You will keep flipping the pages to see what is coming around the next corner. This story kept my attention and had me wanting more. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to see what is going to be happening next.

This is the second book in this series and I loved it just as much as the first. This is a well written romance-suspense story that I had a hard time putting down. The twists and turns left me turning pages just waiting to see what would happen next. The characters brought the story to life and kept me engaged. Gen is an attorney that takes on a case she probably should not have. The case gives her the feeling that something isn’t right and she is left fighting for her life. She goes through alot but she is such a great character that it was great watching her. I loved the chemistry between Gen and the detective. I highly recommend reading this must read story to find out what happens with Gen and her case.

Have you ever felt like you needed to be a different person for whoever you are around? This is a question that I have answered many times in my personal life. Phoebe Alexander in The Explorer about these same feelings. Her character development is extensive and complex. I felt like I could be right there with Abigail. She feels that she needs to be someone different for others, but she doesn’t know how to be Abigail when alone. She is starting college and really trying to find her true self. Gavin is starting his journey. He is starting his journey to find himself. The plot is a simple story when you get down to it, but Abigail and Gavin sure makes the pages fly by. The innocence of Abigail and Gavin makes this an enjoyable read. I highly recommend this series to find out what happens to Abigail and Gavin.

This love story is about Roy and Patience. Roy is a NHL player and he had a stalker. Now he was not able to play because of them. There was PA Patience, who helped him with his PR. All Roy wants is to play hockey. There was something innocent about Patience that peaked Roy’s interest. Can there be romance in the PA Patience and NHL Roy? Will Roy allow himself to love Patience? This is a short story but it is well written and captured my attention throughout the whole story.

This is a historical romance story that is a page turner which I loved. This is one of my favorite genes and I will be looking for more from this author. I was pulled right in from the first page and turning pages fast. This is a well written story that has characters that made the story feel as if you were right there with them. They are connectable and I had no problem relating to them. Lady Victoria is in need of a husband and Blake has no need for a wife. When they are both put in a position that could change things for them, will fate change their perspective of each other? I loved both of them and their banter back and forth. Their relationship is love-hate but it works for them very well. I highly recommend reading their story, and finding out what fate has in store for them.

Lady Victoria Gilbert is in the market for a husband. Considered to be quite on the shelf, she desperately wants a family and home of her own. But that doesn’t mean she’ll accept the advances of the charismatic yet obnoxious Mr. Blake Hall.
Blake Hall, the nouveau riche son of a mill tycoon, is in no need of a wife. After being spurned in love because of his lack of pedigree, he’s sworn off the debutantes of London high society. But Lady Victoria is no simpering miss and her barbed tongue has him torn between wanting to kiss her and throttle her.
After a failed plot lands them in a compromising position, the thin line between love and hate blurs sinfully for this unlikely pair. Embark on this journey of romance, which goes to prove that there’s always a second chance to make a first impression.
Jean Wilde is a Canadian author of historical romance. She fell in love with the world of Regency London when her mother introduced her to the work of Georgette Heyer at the age of 12. She likes to write strong, flawed characters with an abundance of common sense. No necessary miscommunication or drama, thank you very much. When not caught up in something book-related (reading, writing or listening) she can be found spending quality time with her husband and maddeningly lovable twins.

P.A.W.S. (The P.A.W.S. Saga Book 1) by Debbie Manber Kupfer. A different kind a shifter story, I was really intrigued at the start of the book you meet Celia. Celia and family are hiding in the back room of there house in Vienna, when the Gestapo Soldiers came, Celia watched as her family was herded out of the door. The story then jumps to Miriam’s (Miri) point of view. The story of Miri is a sad tale to start, her mother gave her to her Omama (Celia) to raise up till she was ten when tragically Celia dies but leaves Miri a parting gift, a gift Miri doesn’t realise will help her later in life. I don’t want to give too much away but I absolutely loved this story. Debbie created multiple plots throughout this story that all tie together in the end. Such a good read would highly recommend.

Devils Spawn by Manda Mellett a five-star read that you will worship. This is number 6 in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter and I would recommend you read them n order as you get the best out of it that way, they just build on each other and you get sucked into the style of writing. This one has a lot of things that will upset some, but the story is one that needs reading there was just something special about it. It is an MC story, so its gritty and racy to the raw. There is a great underlying story to this that I don’t want to get into as I don’t want to spoil the story as its one you need to read. Manda Mellett is one of those writers that will surprise you with writing that will suck you in and spit you out with a different outlook.

The Player by Jacquie Biggar a winning five-star read. I adored this story, Jacquie Biggar just pulls it out of the bag, this is number two in the Men of WarHawks series and they can be read as stand-alone as I haven’t read the first, but I will be going back to read it. This was a great red, it was funny, sassy and filled with anticipative drama and just made me smile so much. Roy was someone I warmed to, his psycho ex just pushed me to grow to like him and in the end the way he falls for a certain someone just warmed me up. Patience was someone I warmed to immediately and her family were just the icing on the cake. This is one of those stories that will warm you from the inside and make you smile.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I will be looking for more from this author for sure. This is a well developed story that has characters that bring the story to life. They are connectable and made the story engaging for me. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning. Miri receives a silver cat charm that holds more power than she realizes and is about to make her life a little more interesting. This is a paranormal story where you will meet new friends including werewolves and shapeshifters. I highly recommend this book, will Miri learn to control her power?
