I absolutely loved this first book by Naomi Valkyrie! It completely hooked me from the very beginning and its definitely one of those books that has a complete original storyline! The characters are what make this story. It’s multiple POV but there is so much depth to each of them. My favorite part is the one split second decision she makes and it starts a spiral of events that could expose who she is.
This is the first book in the Valdis series and I’m impatiently waiting for more.

I absolutely loved this collection of reads by L.M Mountford. I’ve only read one other book by this author but I was so glad I picked up this read! These books are full of passion, sexiness, romance & steaminess. Each book pulled me in and had me utterly captivated. Each book brought on a new experience a new way of making you feel. Each set of characters were well developed and really made each story real. These stories really do make you hot under the collar and most definitely make the author live up to “The Lord Of Lust” I can’t wait to read more!

What an amazing book to read. It includes the paranormal, paranormal creatures, and the situations that they face. One of the reasons I loved the book so much are the characters. At the top of that list is Xenobia. She is smart, independent, and stubborn. She is also kind and protective of those she cares about. Will she be able to face the danger before her and accept her new role and the responsibility that goes with it? Read this book to find out. I found the story is fast-paced and once started hard to put down. There are other characters that I enjoyed reading about such as Xen’s bestie, Maggie. The author writes.in such a way I felt I was right there with the characters. Don’t miss out on a story that is entertaining and intriguing. I highly recommend it.

The Rise of House Valdis by Naomi Valkyrie is a brilliant debut novel that for me is a must read by anyone who enjoys this genre. The description of this book caught my attention immediately however the book itself was so much better than I expected it would be. I loved the way the author used short but effective chapters – this made it so much easier to squeeze in a chapter here and there in between a busy week!!! I absolutely loved the character Xen. She is everything that you want a female lead to be. She is such a strong and interesting character – definitely me favourite one in the book. I enjoyed every moment of this book and I ho early cannot wait to see what else this author does in the future.

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series Book 3) By: Gledé Browne Kabongo 5 out of 5 stars
The story Winds of Fear (Fearless Series Book 3) by Gledé Browne Kabongo is a mystery/psychological book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The book will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. When reading I found myself so engulfed in the plot and the characters that I felt like I was right there with them. I enjoyed reading about Abbie. She is an intelligent woman who is a mother and a great cook. When she first meets the neighbors next door she can’t help but feel that something is not right. When other situations occur that feeling becomes stronger. Is Abbie right about her new neighbors? Are they not who they say they are? Is her family in danger? Read this book to find out. The story brings out the emotions in the characters and mine went up and down with theirs. There are heartbreaking and heartwarming moments in this book. Don’t miss out on a thrilling ride that you will not be able to put down until the final page. I highly recommend it.

Falling For His Badass is a very fast paced contemporary romance novel from Jessika Klide. It was the first time I had read anything by this author but it looked like just the kind of book that I enjoy, so I gave it a chance. I’m so glad that I took a chance with this novel as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I mentioned before that it was fast paced, it was so fast that I just kept going and devoured the whole book in a couple of hours. I loved the characters of Brody (BA) and Lizzy. Brody is home on leave from the military and is captivated by Lizzy. Lizzy is visiting with her best friend Tara whose boyfriend John is Brody’s brother. On a couple of occasions Brody steps in and is Lizzy’s knight in shining armour and it’s instant love between the 2, although Lizzy is not aware of the connection between the two of them as he introduces himself as BA, a nickname he is regularly called. I really loved the interactions between Lizzy and Brody and how instantly they both fell for each other. Pretty much love at first sight. I highly recommend this book.

So I grabbed this book not knowing what it would be about, how many pages, etc. I thought it was going to be a GOT type of story. It is not BUT IT IS JUST AS GOOD!!!!
The story is written in a very unique narrative, the chapters are super short and each is told in a different voice. I still don’t know how many pages there are – I tried to read it all at once but I had to go to work. I finished it at lunch and I am very grateful I don’t have to punch a time-clock because sometimes being an adult is hard.
Ok, without giving anything away I will tell you the following:
A. This is a clean book, there was no cussing and no sex B. The protagonist is a strong female who lifts women up instead of holding them down C. There are a few interesting fellows D. This book see its characters take almost a “spiritual” journey to new self awareness. E. It is very visually written and I was transported into the book watched it like a movie
I look forward to reading more in this series (please tell me this is a series). I’m going to check the author’s other books to add to my WTR (want to read) list.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. This is a suspense story that pulled me in from the first page. The characters brought the story to life. I will be going back to read the previous books in this series as DI Miller is an interesting character. This story has two different cases going on at the same time, a murder and a missing persons. DI Miller has determination in solving these cases. I highly recommend reading this book, find out if she does.

I love this! This book pulled me in right from the beginning, I couldn’t put it down until the last page. Her characters made the story come alive and made me feel as if I was right there with them. Xen was given a second chance to start over on Earth. Who knew that one decision could expose so much for her. Now danger is near, will she have to expose her secret? She is a great character that has some trust issues and could use a boost in self reassurance, I loved her. This is a must read.

The Rise of House Valdis by Naomi Valkyrie is the first book in the House Valdis series. This is a new author for me so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am delightfully surprised to have found a new author to keep an eye on. This story has a lot going on and I do not want to give anything away. Xenobia has a secret she has held onto for 7 years and it comes out when she has to save her friend Maggie. What will happen now that someone knows her secret? The characters are really interesting and I like the otherworldly and paranormal elements. I also enjoy a story that leaves me wanting more of the characters and plot and that is what this author has done for me.

I give Chicken Scratch (The Sisters, Texas Mystery Series Book 1) Becki Willis, 5 stars.
This is an author I have not read before, but I quite enjoy cozy mysteries and the story looked interesting so I thought I would give it a try. I enjoyed it from the very beginning. Having it set around chicken house/chicken farming is unique and not something I have seen in a cozy mystery before. That is big here in Southern Delaware and a coworker of mine actually has some chicken houses, so I was pleasantly surprised that I could easily follow along. The author has obviously either had experience with this or has done lots of research. That speaks highly to me of the author.
But there is much more to this book than that. We have a gruesome death discovered, a family relocation from the city to a very small town, and former love interests thrown in to boot. This book has something for everyone. The characters are great, they feel like people I would want to know in the real world. Madison herself struggles with trying to make ends meet while also making sure her kids are happy. When she is thrown into the middle of a murder investigation, she feels like she has to help. But she doesn’t realize the danger she is putting herself into.
A cozy mystery with a compelling, unique story and very lovable characters, this is a book I highly recommend.

This book started out awesome and flowed perfectly and just a few pages in I was like yep this will be a one sitting kind of book. I loved the characters and the storyline seemed somewhat unique. I became invested early with Lizzy and even Tara. I wasn’t sure what I was in store for just from the title of this book but even B.A. impressed me once I knew more about him. I truly loved this story all the way up to when they actually meet. For me it went a bit downhill from there..May just be the state of mind Im in right now but there didnt seem to be enough substance to the two of them as it was sex scene after sex scene from there and I could handle that but for me personally just a bit too graphic and the words used made me cringe in some places. This caused me to do a lot of skimming and that is a true pet peeve of mine.
It’s pretty obvious by the way this one ended that there will be more to come for all of these characters, I will probably read the next one because the storyline itself was something that kept me hooked and I’m hoping that there will not be quite as much graphic, leave nothing to the imagination kind of moments.
In saying all of that above…I do sincerely like this authors style of writing..It was easy to read and quick to grab.

My first book by Jessika Klide and won’t be my last. This story was an easy read. If you like to read about love at first sight kind of love with some hot sex thrown in, then this is the story for you.
“She teases me. “Vanilla is boring.” I chuckle. “That’s not necessarily true. All flavors begin with vanilla. So, in reality, vanilla is the foundation for the rest of the flavors because it’s pure.”
Lizzy and B.A. haven’t met yet but they are “almost set up” by her friend and his brother. With a slight twist in plans the two will meet but their connection just might be too good to be true.
This story, while short is worth the read and will hopefully lead to more. I will be looking into more by this author!

Matt’s Swirly World: Children’s Book by Madeleine Matthews My rating 5 out of 5 stars
This is a sweet book and the pictures are wonderfully made. The lesson is this story is that we shouldn’t let our disappointments build up into anger. The mom teaches her son that anger and disappointment don’t last and helps her son find an easy way to help rid himself of the negative feelings. Great story, great lesson, perfect to teach children and I thought adding the story of the dragon and fairy were a perfect touch to show a similar situation to the kid.
5 Star Love & Ghosts (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. The characters are very well developed and just amazing. Emily and Sean, she’s is a strong independent woman who doesn’t believe in ghosts or the supernatural. Sean is a medium and owns his own haunted tour company. These two have chemistry and attraction between them if he could only get her to accept that ghosts exist. Can these two have a future together? Find out what happens next in this must read Book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4) by Seelie Kay is another wonderful continuation of this series that just keeps getting better and better. It is a quick and easy read but in true Seelie fashion, it is full of danger and action, suspense and adventure and not to mention a little heart breaking at one point. I love reading Seelie’s tales as she very cleverly pulls all the threads together to make on explosive experience for the reader. The characters are just brilliant and often make me laugh for this unlikely fit of people who have become a family. I won’t share too much as you have to experience it by yourself.
Hope has finally achieved her dream job, now all she has to do is show them she has what it takes on her first mission. Unfortunately the odds are stacked against her and what happens next leaves her broken and fighting for her life. But with the friends and family around her will she be able to fight her way back?
Another book that is a must read. I can’t wait for more from Seelie.

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price by C.L. Schneider is right up my alley and a wonderful start to the series. I really enjoyed her other series Nite Fire, I love a good fantasy story (it’s my passion and what got me hooked on reading, but I digress) which CL did a great job of writing this one. It’s dark overtones and unique magic, just made it more interesting. It is intricately woven and has many layers but the joy in the read was peeling back those layers to reveal the heart of the story and the characters. The story has everything you need and to make it a great, there is plenty of danger and action, drama and magic, intrigue and suspense, and the usual light vs darkness. I really enjoyed the unique twist used in Ian’s magic. CL gives us a world that you can easily imagine due to her writing and world building.
Ian has been living in fear of his magic and using it for a long long time. Having to live with the deaths of so many makes his life a living hell. When he stumbles upon a new threat, with its heart purely on destroying everything and anything to get what it wants, Ian is forced back into using the one thing he hates most.

This book caught my attention immediately. I found the premise fascinating and flew through the pages to find out how everything would resolve. I really enjoy Berla’s writing style and loved this mystery/fantasy twist. Fantastic characters and detail, this YA fantasy is one that will appeal to all ages. Loved it!
Falling For His Badass by Jessika Klide was a steamy romantic quick read! I would give this book a five out of five stars. Lizzy was a cute character to get to know. I could relate to some of her concerns and it was nice to see her overcome. Brody is a considerate alpha male, which was a nice surprise. I enjoyed the plot and the pace was well thought out.

From The Ashes was a thrilling 5 star read and the third and final book in the Ashes to Ashes series. I was excited to get this final book.
You get pulled in right from the beginning. Charlotte is a journalist who is looking for the truth behind some recent deaths. She is trying to put the pieces together to help solve the mystery. The closer she gets to figuring out things the more dangerous it gets.
There is so much more to this great read. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. There are several twists and turns. Rowena Holloway does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing, I can’t wait to read more from her. I do love strong female leads, and a good mystery is always a winner with me. In Diamonds & Deception by Ellen Butler we get both. This is an excellent little mystery. It is my first Karina Cardinal Mystery Story, but I can tell you it won’t be my last. Although Karina is the star of our show her sister Jillian is every bit in the thick of this as Karina. The dialogue and the interaction between the sisters in this book is spot on., and even better than all of that is the “story within the story”. I always love that. This sweet little mystery is well worth your time.

This little mystery is an easy quick to read story. But don’t be fooled, it packs a powerful punch. It’s an intriguing little story with many suspects, turns, twists and surprises. Thought I had it figured then changed my mind, then changed my mind again. Romance but not the steamy kind, just very sweet and touching. But the best thing for me is the deeper story that Laura Hawks is giving us in Stalking the Stalker. Pick this one up, I think you will like it.

I really loved this book. I love second chance romance stories and no one deserved this more than Duke and Patience. I felt for both characters, young and taking different paths but not communicating with each other on anything deeper than teenage problems. We then jump up to present day and my goodness the pain Patience went through was unimaginable. This series is now on my watch list. Must read!

It took a bit for me to get invested, but once I was hooked, I could not put this book down. This is original and well-written with multiple surprise turns and a wild cliffhanger! I’m looking forward to what happens next! Solid work! 4 stars.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons by L.M. Mountford is a collection of hot and steamy short stories. Each story is based on a different encounter and each one is a intense as the last. This author has created a great collection of stories that will help you just to get lost for a short time. These books could easily be read all in one go (I may or may not have done this) or read, one at a time over a period. If you are looking for a bit of fun chemistry then you should definitely give these books a try.
Deadly Alliance (An Alliance Agency Novel – The Prequel) by Maddie Wade & India Kells
5-Stars
Deadly Alliance (An Alliance Agency Novel – The Prequel) by Maddie Wade & India Kells was action packed and exciting. I was easily hooked at the start of this novel and could not put it down. The story line was easy to follow and fun to disappear in. It had great build up to a fun climax. I loved also the characters of this novel. They were easy to visualize and realistic. I loved the witty banter and humor of some of them. I have read other books by these two authors and I love what they have created together. This novel was an enjoyable read and I highly recommend it. I look forward to more from these authors.

Hope is the superb fourth instalment in the Feisty Lawyers Series by Seelie Kay. This is a shorter story, which makes for a very quick and easy read. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the other books before starting on this one as there are some interconnected elements and characters. I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I have- and I certainly didn’t expect for it to become my favourite of the series, so far. I loved the first three books, but this one blew me away, and is definitely my favourite, so far! We have met Hope previously, and it was really wonderful to catch up with what has been going on in her life- and then follow her through the story. There were moments where my heart was in my mouth, and I really felt for her so much. Seelie Kay certainly put her through the wringer- and I was rooting for Hope to overcome it all… and win out in the end. The character growth and development was just superb. The story is so intriguing- with action, adventure, emotion, suspense, danger, drama, and Hope. The book had me on the edge of my seat in suspense at times, and had me avidly reading along to discover just how everything would play out. This is quite a clever, complex, and well developed storyline- there’s a lot going on in it, in a great way. And in true Seelie Kay fashion, it packs quite a punch! I say this with each addition to the series, but this series would make a fantastic Television show. This book makes me even more intrigued about what Seelie Kay has planned for the rest of the series- and where we go from here. I can’t wait to see what awaits us in future instalments!
