As much as this cover scared the bejeesus outta me I just knew I had to read this book after reading the synopsis. Holy Moly talk about a lot of moving parts. I only got lost a couple times as there was so much going on, but it didn’t take long to find my way back. I wish this author had more books out because I’ll tell you right now I would be 1 clicking right about now but I’ll have to settle with following so Im first in line when the next one comes out. I would so love to see a follow up to this book, I became so invested in Isaac’s story and I did not want it to end.
His journey to avenge those he loved was a nail biting while sitting on the edge of your seat kind of story. My heart is still literally broke for this man. I could almost feel the battle he was fighting not only physically but the one he had raging in his mind. I also loved Roach, and there just seems to be more story to tell for both of them. I sincerely hope there’s more to come.
I highly recommend anyone that loves a good crime / mystery / dangerous / thrill ride to grab this book immediately. I absolutely loved it and the writing was outstanding!
Amazing and falls in the deserves more than 5 stars category!

Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4) By: Seelie Kay 5 out of 5 stars
I really enjoyed reading Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4) by Seelie Kay. It is a story that is suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. While the story may be a bit shorter than some books, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t powerful. I loved reading about the character of Hope Ali. She is a young woman who is intelligent, independent, and stubborn. Read this book to find out what happens when a mission goes off track. The story has action, danger, and a wonderful storyline. I couldn’t bring myself to put it down and I finished it all in one sitting. I am truly enjoying reading this series and about the characters that are in each one. I would recommend reading this series in order as characters are brought forward into the next book from previous ones. Don’t miss out on a fast-paced journey that is unforgettable. I highly recommend reading it.

Chicken Scratch by Becki Willis is the first book in The Sisters, Texas Mystery series. This is a cozy, fun mystery to read. What happens when you have gotten used to the big city and have to move back to small-town life with your children. Madison finds herself in this position and tries to make the most of it. When she starts her new job she finds a dead body. Now to find the killer! I enjoyed the characters and how they were developed to be individuals. Each plays a part in the story. I also like the small-town setting. It takes it from being a gritty, detective novel to something a bit lighter. I will definitely be picking up the next book to see where the story goes.

Stars Fall From the Sky by K.G. Fletcher a four-star read that you will want to catch like a shooting star. This is the second story in the Reigning Hearts series and be warned you will need the tissues by your side as you read this story as its very emotive, touching and dramatic reading. Ginger and Jonathon prove that two wrongs can make a right, as two broken hearts can hopefully make one between them. It really is a heart-breaking story and compelling reading; you will be doing yourself a disservice if you miss this series.

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) By: James Talisman 5 out of 5 stars
The story Journey’s Through SpaceTime (Journey’s Through Book 1) by James Talisman is an amazing read. It hooks you in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The book has many different characters. I love how the author pays attention to detail when writing about what the characters are doing or where they are visiting at the time. I felt like I was right there with them on their journey. The book has action, danger, mystery, betrayal, and will keep you guessing as to what will happen next. I was turning pages to find out. I enjoyed reading about the characters and their stories. The way that they were written about had me caring about what happened to them. I felt a connection to many of them as they are introduced, and you learn more about them. This is a book that has several narratives and I enjoyed how each one was presented. This looks to be the first book in a series, and I can’t wait to read the next story. I highly recommend this book.

Knight Watch (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 1) by Maddie Wade & India Kells is a spin off from their other series and as soon as I see either of their names anywhere near a book then I know I have to have it. My girls never let me down. I have not read anything from these two that I have not loved. There is lots of suspense and danger, angst and sadness, amazing sparks and chemistry and above comradery. There is a lot of emotions to go through with this story and one was a deep sadness at the pain and suffering from our main character but with the help of a dark and sexy man and the Alliance Agency she may just come out the other side. All of the people related to the Agency are wonderful and funny, the banter just cracked me up laughing, but cross them and watch out. Find them sexy and hang on, ooooh la la.
Kingsley and his team on looking for a kidnapped woman and all it takes is one look for him to be slightly smitten. If only he could find her. It seems the one who wanted her found has an ulterior motive and he is definitely not what he seems. What they discover is evil incarnate and a whole twisted world.
Sydney has had so much loss and tragedy one top of one of the most horrendous ordeals in her life that has left her fighting to stay out of the dark deep hole. When she gets kidnapped she finally finds out some home truths about the person behind all her terror and sadness. So when a man with a sexy British accent comes to her rescue she doesn’t know who to trust.
This story is really well written as you come to expect from Maddie and India and I love the way characters from the other series cross over. Explosive read, yes so you will kick yourself if you don’t get it today. I am anxiously awaiting more from these two, the dynamic duo.
Fire & Ice (Spicetopia Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander is probably my favourite in the series. It is suspenseful, intriguing and mysterious story that is also fun and I love the banter of the main characters. It is also sexy and steamy and a great continuation of this excellent series. This is a little different from the first two but I loved it. Phoebe has created a world where all our pleasures will come true, a world where anything goes, a world for the rich and famous set on a tropical island which really makes it a hardship to read. Not. It is a quick read but it has a lot going on which keeps you glued to the pages wanting to know who is after them.
Neve is the head security guy for the new Spicetopia and is on a press circuit with the head of media, Enya. Unfortunately she is a pain in his neck. He is a man of few words and a huge chip on his shoulder but it seems nothing can get through to him. That is until they disappear but will anyone be able to find them?
Enya loves to talk, it is her job after all but Neve is a hard nut to crack. When things go wrong and they are both in danger, suddenly she sees him in a completely different light. I fell in love with Neve and Enya’s and their thoughts and way with each other had me laughing, they are truly delightful.
I am anxiously awaiting the next book. A great read to get lost in to unwind.
Evergreen by Mya O’Malley has surprised me with this absolutely beautiful story. The way Mya told this love story is so wonderfully done. I was magically transported straight in to this world and walked each and every step with these wonderful characters. There are a multitude of emotions that tugged on my heart strings from laughing out loud at their easy banter to sadness and at other times I was mad as heck and looking for blood. But let’s not forget the star of the show Maxine, she just melted my heart altogether. I need me one.
June had always led a different life to the one her parents envisioned but she was happy and left with a few scars. That is until two unique beings came into her life and changed it forever.
Graham comes across a rare treasure and tries to find help, what he finds is two angels that he never knew he was looking for. Now all he has to do is break through the barriers that she has built around herself and her heart.
If you want a feel good and wonderful read to lose yourself in, grab this book. You will love it as much as I did.
Stalking the Stalker (Valley View Mysteries Book 2) by Laura Hawks. Ok so let me just start by saying wow what a ride. This author knows how to keep the readers guessing and on our toes. Every time I thought I’d figured out something bam a new turn! It was incredible. There’s so much this book has to offer from the mystery and suspense to the drama that unfolds for these characters. I love this authors attention to even the smallest details. The storyline is well written and paced just right, I never felt rushed or that it was lacking anything. I was honestly on the edge of my seat the entire story and I couldn’t put it down. The characters all bring something unique to move the story along. I was completely lost in the world the author created. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Stars Fall From the Sky was a great 5 star read and book two in the Reigning Hearts series. K.G Fletcher has once again pulled me right in with her writing and I didn’t want to stop until I was done.
My emotions were all over the place during this read, laughing, crying, sobbing mess. This is Ginger and Jonathan’s story. Both of them have tragic pasts that they are trying to move forward from. My heart absolutely broke for Ginger, I was emotionally drained. Ginger has her best friend’s wedding that brings her close to what changed her whole life, the ocean. This is where she meets Jonathan. They start out as friends but soon feelings start to develop.
Can Ginger ever be happy again? Can a person have more than one soul mate?
Both characters were great although Jonathan frustrated me at times, he was so stubborn. You can’t help but be captivated by their story. These two helped each other heal and we get a HEA. There is so much more to this great read, you will love it. I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today on this great series.

From The Ashes: a gripping psychological thriller (Ashes to Ashes Book 3) by Rowena Holloway
This is the third and final book in this series and boy does it pack a punch. As soon as I picked it up I wasn’t able to put it down until I read the last word. This story is full of lies, deceit, intrigue, danger, suspense, and so much more. Charlotte has essentially risked everything, her career and reputation most of all but that doesn’t stop her. This book had me on the edge of my seat trying to read faster to find out what the outcome was going to be. This is a must read!! I don’t want to give anything away but I will say that this will definitely entertain you. The author did an exceptional job writing a gripping thriller in this wonderful series.

Opposites attract and sparks fly in this latest novella from Alexander in the Spicetopia series. Intended for mature readers, this is not meant for younger eyes. Take the caution seriously folks. Alexander pulls no punches when it comes to passion and what that looks like to different people. She also has an uncanny ability to dial in to relatable characters that speak to you whether they could be you or not. Another page turner that you will not put down easily. How ever will she follow up in book four? Cannot wait to see!
The perfect novella to get you in the holiday spirit. This is a quick and easy read that you will want to finish without leaving your seat (and easily succeed). I love Regent’s way with words and her character development. This novella is a feast for the heart and soul. Simply delightful!

The second installment of the story of Tails and Brodie was definitely too short. It felt good getting reacquainted with old friends and learning more about their life together, but it ended too soon. If you are looking for a shifter series with a cool twist, the I highly recommend this one. Really, anything by this author has been a joy to read and I can honestly say I think you will enjoy.

Running in Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent is a super quick and easy read. The book is made up of two short stories set around Christmas and the New Year. I enjoyed both of these stories, and they were well written, but I wanted them to be longer, so I could fully immerse myself in them and find out more about the characters, backstories, and background information.
Noelle’s Promise Noelle has some really bad memories which centre around Christmas- so she decided a very long time ago that she would never celebrate the holiday ever again. But with boyfriend Logan now a huge part of her life- she has agreed to spend Christmas with him, AND his family. She is anxious about it all, especially when the festivities cause her memories and issues to bubble to the surface. Things come to a head and escape seems to be her only option. But she soon realises that she will continue to be stuck in the past and unable to embrace the future until she faces/deals with her past. A sweet story and emotive story!
Eve’s Hope Eve has major issues with New Year’s Eve, as she considers it jinxed. The unluckiest night of the year for her. So, the best thing to do is batten down the hatches and stay home. But you know what they say about the best laid plans… Circumstances soon have her accepting an invitation to her neighbor’s party- which she expects will be a flop. But is it? Will this be the New Year’s Eve that surprises her- the one that changes everything- the one that she will definitely remember? Well worth the read to find out.

This was my first book by this author and my goodness what a thrilling ride I was taken on. I felt for Isaac and how all he wanted to do was move on from his past, but life has other plans. I couldn’t flip pages fast enough to see what was going to come next. This is a crime book so the bloody scenes were expected and didn’t bother me at all. I look forward to more book by this author. Highly recommend this book.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons by L.M Mountford is a collection of seven short stories which range from second chances, to friends to lovers, a mafia princess’ adventures, an erotic paranormal/vampire story, a taboo/forbidden story, and tales of temptation. This is a very quick and easy read and because each ‘book’ in the collection is so short, it’s one you can enjoy when your reading time is limited, because you can pick it up and put it down without feeling like you are left hanging. The stories are written to be titillating, quick and easy reads. There isn’t a huge amount of depth, or complex character development. I really wish these stories were expanded more, so we got more depth and development to fully ‘explore’ and invest in. I get what the author was trying to achieve- but I like my stories a little more ‘meatier’.
The collection contains:
Broken We follow Jake and Vickey, who have a history. Bumping into each other at a nightclub, things soon heat up. What happens next makes for some sizzling reading.
Just once Faye and Terry have been friends since they were young children. Faye has feelings for Terry and would love to be more than friends. Little does she realise that Terry feels the same way, but he’s worried about destroying their friendship, AND he has a girlfriend. Faye finally throws caution to the wind, taking matters into her own hands- because just once she wants to know what it would be like to more than just his friend. What happens. You have to read the story to find out.
Valentine Misadventure Sophie’s a mafia Princess. Her father is the Boss. Luke is her bodyguard. It’s Valentines night. So, what happens when her father’s right hand man shows up. There’s an element of danger to this story. What does their Valentine’s have in store for them? Dive in to find out.
Together in Sydney Alex and Sarah went to college together- then one day Sarah left without any explanation. Alex now travels to Sydney to visit. A lot of time has passed since she left. What happens in Sydney- will their friendship heat up?
Training Tracey This story has a bit of a taboo element to it. Tracey is the best friend of the Burton’s daughter and has known them most of her life. She’s spent countless hours at their home, even vacations and outings with them. But she isn’t a little girl anymore. This story explores plenty of M/F, F/F, & M/F/F steamy scenes. Will Tracey enjoy her ‘lessons’?
Blood Lust Lucian, who is thousands of years old, has awakened and has a thirst he needs to quench. What happens when he meets the lovely Kate? Will she be a quick snack, or will there be much more to come from their encounter? This is a PNR/Vampire story with an erotic pulse.
Sweet Temptations Richard who is married with a lovely wife and young child- finds himself tempted by his pretty young babysitter. She has a huge crush on him, and is very ‘flirty’- so he is having very lustful thoughts. Will the temptation be too much to resist?
A few of these stories were ‘new to me’- but four of them are ones I’ve read before in previous releases. I wonder what L.M Mountford has in store for us next?

If you like stories that are quick and turn the heat up the. This is definitely for you. I need to go and look for the next books because they were definitely easy reads.
This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. I’m so glad that I read this book. I was hooked on the characters right from the beginning. I love military romance and this talented author exceeded all my expectations. I was so hooked on this story I read this whole book in one sitting.
Lizzy always falls for the boring type of guys. She wants to fall head over heels but she can’t find the right guy. Lizzy goes and visits one of her friends Tara. Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella By: Renee Regent 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the two stories in this book. They will get you in the holiday spirit and are two sweet stories to read. They are romantic and will have you believing in the holiday spirit. One story will have you asking if your past define your future and the other if a holiday will be unlucky every year. I loved reading about the characters of Noelle and Eve. They are both characters that believe that their situation around the holidays will not change. Is that true? What does the future hold for Noelle and Eve? Read these novellas to find out. The stories did have my emotions going up and down as I was reading them. There are romantic moments and also heartwarming ones as well. Don’t miss out on two stories that you will not be able to put down until the end. I highly recommend reading them.

From The Ashes: a gripping psychological thriller (Ashes to Ashes Book 3) By: Rowena Holloway 5 out of 5 stars
The story From The Ashes: a gripping psychological thriller (Ashes to Ashes Book 3) by Rowena Holloway is an entertaining and intense book to read. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let go until the last page. It is suspenseful and I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering what is going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of journalist Charlotte Ashe. She is looking into a story that will lead her down paths that she never thought she would find herself. As she tries to find out the truth will the danger that goes with her investigation overcome her? Who can she trust? What does the future hold for Charlotte? Read this book to find out. This story had me feeling like I was in the story right along with the characters. There are twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. There are also additional characters that I enjoyed reading about and their interactions with Charlotte. Don’t miss out on a book that is intriguing with an amazing storyline. I highly recommend it.

A Cowboy Under the Mistletoe By: by Susan Fisher Davis (Author), Leslie P. Garcia (Author), Melissa Keir (Author), Debbie Desmarteau (Author), Stephanie Berget (Author), D’Ann Lindun (Author) 5 out of 5 stars
This is a wonderful anthology. It has stories that are romantic and includes cowboys that are both handsome and make you believe in true love. Each story was enjoyable to read and I found that I didn’t want to put the book down until I was finished. One of the reasons that I love anthologies so much is that it gives me an opportunity to find new authors. This story has six authors and this was the first time that I had read any of their stories. The book had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. I enjoyed reading both about the main characters and I couldn’t help but find myself caring for them and wanting them to be happy. There are heartwarming moments included in these stories. Don’t miss out on a group of stories that will have you wishing for a cowboy under your mistletoe. I highly recommend reading this anthology.

Running In Snow – A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent comprises of two very, very short stories that are easy to read but both are heart wrenching to some degree. One is set around Christmas eve and the other New Years eve. They are we written but I would have liked to see them as longer stories.
Noelle’s Promise Noelle does not do Christmas but when she falls in love she tries hard. After fleeing a party she realises that she needs to deal with her past before she can move forward.
Eve’s Hope Eve hates New Years eve, nothing ever goes right for her so a night in it is but when she answers her door it turns out that this may actually be a night to remember.

Cowboy stories are not my go to reads but I love a good Christmas story so figured I would check out this anthology. I am familiar with a few of the authors and this was my introduction to others.
This anthology really does run the gamut of genres. There is military romance, second chances, faith, fate, and more. What each has in common is that it is a complete story with a beginning, middle and end and can be read as stand-alones, oh and of course Christmas. Who doesn’t love a wee Christmas miracle every now and again?
I feel like there was a good range of stories and story telling styles to keep me interested from beginning to end. While a couple were not what I would typically read (more than just involving a cowboy) I gave it a shot an was pleasantly surprised.
This is an anthology I would recommend to get one into the holiday spirit.
