Milenda and her husband Jaali, are the main characters in this journey. I say journey as that is what it is. You will watch these two people grow and concur many struggles. Don’t get me wrong, these characters have a great story to tell. Come meet their friends and enemies, follow the tough road with Milenda and Jaali. You will find good times as well as bad. But I promise this is a series you will not want to miss.
Natalina Reis has written quite the book of emotions, struggle and love. Her finale really sent this loving couple through the wringer. Her characters, their friends and even enemies play an important role in this book. This being the final book in the series. Natalia Reis really brings it all together. Therefore you must read the first 2 books. To see how she brought it all together for her finale. I truly loved this story. I am so happy I started with book one. Just so I could read how it all ended. You can be sure I will be seeking more from Natalia Reis. Her series is a must read! Thank you for the journey Natalia Reis!

Tangles by Sharleen Scott is a wonderfully written story that had me crying pretty much throughout the whole book. As someone who has not only worked as a caregiver for patients with this horrible disease. I also just recently lost a family member to it. Alzheimer’s is a disease that destroys people’s memories and its terrible to watch .This story takes you on a emotional journey of Lois being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in her late sixties and her son Logan. He finds his moms secret journals and he’s taken on another journey that pretty much rattles him to the core.He tries to reconcile what he’s known his whole life but he has no one to ask questions to since his dad is gone and well so is Lois for lack of better terms. Secrets Never Die by Laurie Lewis is a book jammed packed with suspense and mystery. It grabs your complete attention right from the beginning and doesn’t ever let go. Laurie Lewis has created the kind of story has you on the edge of your seat trying to guess what might be happening. The story is full of twists and turns the whole way through and yet she does such a good job at controlling them all it is easy to keep track of what is happening. The characters were brilliant as well. They are the type that you just want to read more about. I would definitely not be disappointed if we were taken back into their lives at any point. This is a 5* author and an amazing book!

San Diego Dead is the fourth book in the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. It is a thrilling mystery- with action, adventure, drama, danger, tension, twists & turns, assassins, cartels, narcoterrorists, violence, murder, gun fights, kidnapping, explosions, sharks, a high-stakes and dangerous game of cat and mouse…. and more. We team up with Jake Wolfe (lawyer, ex-marine, and covert operative), and his genius ex war dog, Cody, as they set out to solve this mystery and save the day. Trouble seems to find Jake- and this story is no exception- as his holiday to unwind and relax takes a dangerous turn. He soon finds that he, Cody, and the ones they hold dear, are all in the sights of a dangerous cartel boss who has a twisted agenda that will put a lot of people in serious danger. Jake and Cody, with the help of some loyal friends , unravel the puzzle piece by piece- and set about hunting down a very important package before it gets into the wrong hands. The tension and danger mounts- as the enemy will stop at nothing to get what they want. As expected, this is a fast paced story with lots of twists and surprising developments. I was hooked right from the beginning, reading it all in one sitting just to find out how it all plays out. The story is told from multiple POV’s- and even Cody, the dog has a perspective. This gave me a richer reading experience, because I had so much more information to work with. As with all the books in this series, the characters are fantastic- they are really well developed and fully realised characters with their own quirky personalities. I especially love how incredibly detailed and developed Cody’s personality is- it’s this attention to detail that really sets this book/s apart from others in the same genre! There were a few minor issues in this book which I haven’t seen occur in any of the other books- and has left me a little puzzled. Things I can’t go into in too much detail because I don’t want to give away any of the storyline. But as an example- Jake helps someone out of a hole, lifting them to his shoulders, before setting them down onto solid ground- then in the very next sentence he is in the hole with that person and lifting them out and onto the ground. So which way is it? It’s as if there were parts of the story where Mr. Nolan hadn’t fully decided which way he wanted to write it and so wrote both ways, maybe thinking to go back later and edit out one scenario and leave the other in- but some got missed in the process and so now we have two versions play out in the story. This didn’t really affect my enjoyment of the book, but I was ‘pulled out’ of the story when I came across them and had to re-read them just to be sure I hadn’t missed anything and was reading it right. The story can definitely be read as a standalone- but there are recurring characters, elements, and details from previous books which are mentioned in passing in this story- so if you were to read all three of the other books before starting on this one, you would definitely have a richer and more enhanced experience of “San Diego Dead”. There were quite a few emotional scenes through this book which made my heart ache. And even though the ‘romantic’ aspect of this book is secondary to the thriller/mystery, we watch as Jake and Sarah’s relationship hits a few rocky patches. So do they work things out, or will they part ways forever? I also appreciated the interesting and informative ‘letter’ from the author at the end of the book. As it gave me even more to think about, while adding a personal touch to the story as well. I LOVE all the book covers on this series- and I think this is my favourite one yet! I can’t wait to see what Jake and Cody get up to next!

The Bad Twin: A Mistaken Identity Billionaire Romance is a great contemporary romance novel from Avery Scott. I had previously read The First Lady and Too Hot To Handle by this author and had loved them both so I had high hopes for this book. Added to the fact that the blurb was just right up my street then there was no way that I was not going to love this book. I’m so glad to say that my gut reaction was correct. I loved this book. This is the ultimate case of mistaken identity. Abby Levesque lives with her identical twin Gabrielle in their grandmother’s old house which they are at risk of losing. When Gabby’s boss Hudson turns up at their house he mistakes Abby for Gabby and demands that she accompanies him on a work trip to Paris or she will lose her job. What’s a girl to do? Abby goes with him and pretends to be her sister as they really need the money to save their house. I have to say that I loved both Abby and Hudson. Abby is ‘the good twin’ and just wants to do what’s right to help her family. Hudson just wants his father to be proud of him. I loved the interactions between the 2, especially when Hudson asked questions about their trip which Abby had no clue to the answer as Gabby had been the one who did the organising, so she just looked to be stupid and incompetent. So what would happen when Hudson finds out that it isn’t his assistant Gabby who has been with him? Especially as he had come to like the version of Gabby he had seen on the trip. I’m not going to spoil that for you, you’ll just have to read The Bad Twin to find out. It won’t disappoint!

Milenda is happy with her husband and son, living in her husband’s lands where no one knows she is a princess. But she knows it cannot last. Her people need her and the gods have declared that it is time. Can she defeat the elders and help free her people? Is she ready to step up and accept the responsibility of being the royal princess and future queen? But revolution does not come without a cost, is she willing to pay the price?
I forgot how much I loved Milenda and this series, but this book quickly reminded me of that. There is so much that happens and Milenda continues to grow and become who she is meant to be. Not mention the friends — both new and old — that are willing to stand by her and help her. I couldn’t believe how good the story itself was. It is a great conclusion to this series.
The book should be read after the previous books in the series, but I highly recommend not only this book, but the whole series.

When I first started this book I was so excited and got completely invested pretty quick. I truly enjoyed this book and would recommend it. It was a bit predictable and didn’t go as I thought it would but it was a fun story to read.
This is not my first book by this author and as always I enjoy her writing style and her stories always flow smoothly making them really easy to read. This I believe is only my second book ever with the twin mix up and as I said it felt predictable, I really liked Abby and found that I could connect with her, but I never really liked Hudson, I’m not sure if maybe it was just not enough development or what but I just never cared for him all the way through the book.
I really am looking forward to reading more from this author, as stated above, I like her writing style, and so far each book I have read by her has been different and does not follow a common thread each time, which I appreciate.

Calling the Curveball: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly and is the third book in the Lawson family novel series. Jamie Lawson always knew that his life was baseball and one accident that changed his life forever and took his dreams away. Kira spending the summer with her sister, meets Jamie and wants him to be her summer fling. Together these two both with pasts that hurt him bring out side that they both need and enjoy! The question is, can they both let go of the past and hit a homerun together? I love this book, I love the two main characters so much and Jamie’s family simply seal the deal for me. I wish the book was longer because I hated to see it end! I highly recommend this read and give it 4 stars.

Forbidden (Tales of Passion, Lust & Betrayal Vol. 1) by Autumn Sand. Let me just say Autumn Sand is one of my favorite authors. This book is amazing. Its pretty short and pretty HOT! Its about a club named Forbidden which is an exclusive club. Not just everyone can get in. Neria is the hostess and there are 7 doors that you can enter that all lead to tantalizing pleasures that seem to get steamier and steamier as you progress. There are emotions involved as well that suck you in and of course the characters you come to care about. If you like Hot & Spicy reads then this is the book for you! Read Forbidden you won’t regret it!
I could NOT put this book down! It’s a late into the night read! This is filled with wonderful loving and crazy characters. I enjoyed how this is told from various characters as the story moves along. I loved going through all of this strangeness with Claire. Learning about the Fae life and the power and the men.
I am not a fan of reverse harem books. I have read this author before and love her work so i figured i would give it a try. (Go KU) The love portion is So HOT….beware it will burn your fingers turning those pages!! When these characters get together..the elements and emotions are flying high. Titus?!? And his fire magic in the kitchen?? I need ICE CUBES! STAT!!
The author does a great job making me look at these relationships differently. I can easily see the burning heat and raw passion from Titus and it seems that Exos is more pure. Not saying he can’t heat things up but he loves kissing her forehead and touching her…much more cuddling. I wonder what her other relationships will be like.
The book ends on a small cliffhanger…only if you read the Epilogue. If you stop after the last chapter everything ends just fine. The author is gearing up for book 2.
Overall this is much more than I thought it would be. The story is very good and interesting. The idea is novel and the characters are alpha, sexy and smart. This is a good start to a new series.

Rebel Jewel (The Jewel Chronicles Book 3) by Natalina Reis is an action packed fantasy story and the final suspenseful chapter in this series and a culmination of an intense journey the characters have been through. I suggest reading all the books in order because they do follow on from the others. The vibrant world that Natalina has created is easily visible with the wonderful characters and her word smithing. The danger is inherent and very real, the love and hope pops of the page, the drama and adventure pops of the page and you are left navigating some curly twists to help the characters get their goal and their lives.
In this installment we see Milenda and Jaali called to return to a world where slaves live in fear and torment and the Elders need to be taken down. Bringing back all the horrible memories and injustices that are being inflicted upon their countrymen and women. It is those memories that push them on to make a better life but at what cost?
Natalina ties everything up nicely making it a good finish to the series.

Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell 4 stars!!!!
I have to say that I was quite taken in by this book. This is the second book from this author I have read and I wasn’t disappointed. The author has quite a unique story line. The characters are very realistic. I felt as though I was right there in the book going through all the drama with them.
I really enjoyed seeing how Liz’s story has continued. I really like how the author balances the history she is researching with the present day to tell the story. I do really like to read various genres and this is just what I needed. I really would like to read more from this author in the future.
Miami Days, Havana Nights is the followup to Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel, by Linda Bennett Pennell. It isn’t listed as a series, but I think a lot of character background can be gained from reading them in order. I quickly fell in love with this book, as it was an interesting story (2 actually) and a bit of history. The chapters alternate telling the story of Sam Ackerman and Liz Reams. At the end, they merge, and you get a full picture. While I did like that, because its 2 stories, set nearly 100 years apart, at times I was annoyed I couldn’t see what happened next for another chapter. It was hard to alternate, only because it keeps you in suspense a while longer. Sam is a teenager when he witnesses a murder, and is quickly sent off for his protection. He didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to his mother, and was sent across the country with not even a change of clothes. But its better than being killed or locked up, so he makes the best of it. He falls in love, to someone forbidden, and must try to cut ties with the mob, but seems to keep getting pulled back in. Liz is a history professor, who’s passion is researching American Crime. She likes to research the unknown, every day man, and write their story and connection with the mob. She is led on quite the dangerous adventure this time, trying to obtain more research. Highly recommend this one. I hope there are more to come in this series! I want to see what happens with Liz and Hugh!

I love how the two stories from different time frames connect with each other. I think that when you have two different stories into one book that it can become confusing. However, integrating both stories was very well done. Each story had characters that became important to me, and I couldn’t wait to see what happens next. I can’t wait to see what happens next for Liz!
Shameless was a good 4 star read and book two in The Orphan Train Saga series. This is an emotional read that will pull you right in. We continue with the story of the Orphan Train with Tobias’s story.
We start with Cindy and her mother finding all the journals and the keys for the boxes. As she and her mother start to read the journals, their relationship starts to change.
We meet Tobias in the first book and we get his story in this one. He has quickly learned how to survive on the streets and ends up joining a gang.When he sees Mileta he is quickly drawn to her and has the need to protect her.
Overall this is a good read and I really enjoyed this story. This series has introduced me to the Orphan Train and I have done some research to learn more. It was such a sad thing and how these children were treated. I highly suggest you read book one in the series before this one, it will help you connect better with the characters and story. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.

Talk about a thrill ride! I jumped into this book/series/adventure without any introduction and boy was I riveted! Action packed and filled to the brim with detail, these pages just absolutely flew right through my fingers. I couldn’t read it or absorb it fast enough. TANGLES was a blind read for me. The cover intrigued me and I have enjoyed this author’s stories in the past so never questioned what the book would be about.
Told in third person with multiple POVs and set in present and past time, It is real and raw and emotional. It is about discovery and reality and self identification.
A side note: No matter how old or young you are. No matter if you are a parent or not and no matter if you have assets or not, please make sure your wishes are known and someone is able to act on your behalf if you become incapacitated.

Tangles was a great 5 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down.
We meet Logan and his family in the beginning, he is a great father that loves his children. He is also someone that when he sets his mind to it he is determined to accomplish his goals. Logan started to wonder what was going on with his mom when he was on the phone with his dad, she was asking strange questions but his dad assured him she was fine. During a visit he knew his mom behavior was odd and she injured his son. Logan finally gets his father to share what is wrong with his mother, Alzheimers.
When Logan’s father passes he ends up caring for his mother.This is definitely not an easy task and he ends up hiring a nursing service to help him. When he discovers some journals that his mother wrote he ends up with lots of questions and discovers secrets that his mother had, secrets that make him angry and confused.
Will he be able to find someone that can help put the pieces together and give him the answers he’s looking for?
Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. My heart went out to Logan, having a friend who’s family went through Alzeimers with her mother this felt like it hit home. Sharleen Scott has done a great job with her writing and you feel like your right there with Logan. If you’re looking for a great read, I highly suggest this one. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one I read by this author. This author tells a story in the past and the present and she does it awesomely. I had no problems keeping up with this story. The main characters are great and the author made me feel like I was right there with them experiencing everything too. The story was switched back and forth between two characters and that really brought it to life. I enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. I would recommend this to a friend! Happy reading!

This is Moon and Katja’s story. This couple loves to swing. But they need a break from adulting, paying bills, and working in jobs they are not happy with. Bring on the vacation! While on vacation, they meet a couple, and the imagination takes over.
Phoebe Alexander has done it again. Page one takes off, and you are sucked into this sexy romance fantasy. I love the 2 couples in this story. In fact, I would love to visit Spicetopia! To bad it’s all fantasy, as this would be fun to explore. Phoebe Alexander ‘s book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend you read Sugar & Spice first. No Spoilers as what’s the sense of reading the book if you know the plot. You will have to read this story, to believe the work that went into Phoebe Alexander’s fantasy. You can bet I will be waiting for the next book in this series.
Tangles By Sharleen Scott. I knew going into this story that it’d be a bit different from previous ones I’ve read by this author. And I honestly liked it just as much if not a bit more because parts hit closer to my heart. This story was definitely an emotional story and left me feeling a bit raw. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that had a difficult subject line but it’s so well written. I truly appreciate the words this author writes and the care taken to get even the smallest details correct. The emotions written into the pages of this story leave you feeling each and every one. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it. Be prepared for an emotional journey with wonderful characters.

Virtue and Vice by Phoebe Alexander was an insane steamy read. I would give this book a five out of five stars. This is the second book in the series and a wonderful addition. I loved seeing Cy and Jolie again. I loved Moon and Katya, they are more free and intense than I could ever be. The read was fun and the pace felt just right!
The Time Traveler’s Magic by Anna Applegate is the first book in the Magic Bound Saga. Ember Brighton has been pushed into another time and must figure out what to do and why this has happened. This is a great time traveling fantasy with supernatural/paranormal elements. This is a fun read that kept me wanting more. I enjoyed the characters and the story. I also enjoyed there were plenty of mysteries that Ember was trying to unravel. I look forward to the next book in this series and reading more from Anna Applegate in the future.

This author has created a read that is mentally visual and captivating for the whole read. I like that we get flashes from past and present, it was written smoothly and it flowed from chapter to chapter. I loved the characters, I loved following their story. I loved the suspense that had you on the edge of your seat, its a read that you never get bored of, it will hold you captive till the very end!
I can’t wait to see what else this author brings! But until then do not miss this read, you will not be disappointed.

Yes, Yes, Yes I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book! I was not disappointed. These books can be read as stand-alone but believe me when I say you wouldn’t want to miss the build-up and back story in Book 1. You will never be disappointed with Phoebe Alexander’s writing, she continues to pull you in and hold you captive throughout. I loved following Moon & Katja’s story they were brilliant characters that I couldn’t help but love, they had a real story full of romance and sexy, steaminess. I’m so glad that we got to revisit Cy & Jolie from book 1 it was good to see a bit of their story continue as-well. Phoebe Alexander will and forever be a go-to author for me, she has an incredible way of gripping the reader from the start with her amazing characters and amazing storylines. I can honestly say you would never be disappointed picking up one of her reads, and I cant wait to see what else she can bring!

The Bad Twin by Avery Scott is a fun and sexy read. I have always loved books with a mistaken identity in them and this one was definitely a good one. Avery Scott has created characters that are not only fun and entertaining but ones that are also hot and have great chemistry. This is the kind of book that you will find yourself reading in one sitting because you just can’t put it down. This author is one that knows how to draw you in immediately and won’t let go. I hated when the book was over because I had enjoyed the story so much. This is one book I can definitely recommend.

In Miami Days, Havana Nights by author Linda Bennett Pennell we find Professor Liz Reams trying to build on the success she found early in her career. Liz literally stumbles onto the story of Sam, a 17 year old boy who is in the wrong place at the wrong time, witnessing a mob hit. Sam finds himself indebted to mobster, Moshe Toblinsky. Sam’s life further changes when he finds himself in a new place far away from family and everything he has ever known. As Liz follows the bread crumbs to Sam’s mafia connections she begins to question her life and priorities. Is her work worth it? Why can’t she commit to her boyfriend? What in her life actually matters most? I enjoyed this book, but I had a hard time connecting with Sam and his story. Since I enjoy the author’s writing I continued to the end and am glad I did. This was quite a journey and I look forward to what the author brings about next.

The Fisher Men: Xing Lines by author Rebel Nicks O’Dey is the second book in the Fisher Men series, and while it is said to be a standalone it really should be read after The Fisher Men X my Heart. This book is about Connor and Rika who we met in the first book. Connor is one of the Fisher brothers and Rika is the journalist friend of Samantha. The main characters are roommates that have yet to meet in person but this makes for interesting reading. If the story would have continued in this vein, I would have given 5 stars. But there was another story, within the story, and that left me feeling lost. At one point I began thinking I was missing something and had to look at the author’s backlist. Here I found another series with information that I missed. I think I need to read that series before I go on to the rest of the Fisher men books. I think, at times, the author threw out too much information, confusing the reader. The She thread is extremely interesting but really garbled the story lines but that’s just my opinion as a reader. There were a lot of twists and turns in this story some of which probably weren’t necessary but all in all this was an enjoyable read.

Darcy’s Caution by Zoe Burton a fast paced four-star read. This is number three in the Pride and Prejudice Racecar series, it could be read as stand-alone as I haven’t read the first two, I will check them out as this was funny and sweet. I love a good sport’s romance and adding cars into the mix just brings a freshness to the story. Darcy and Liz are great, they aren’t perfect, and all glossed over like you see in some stories, and that just adds to the drama, throw in a stalker and you have a great story.
