Virtue and Vice is a fun, sexy story that I can’t get enough of! I am completely loving this series. The idea of an adult amusement park is so fresh and new…well at least in a book it’s new. I know some adults that have dreamed of an “adults-only park” for a while!
This story is hot right from the very first page! I had to share with hubby right away since I thought it was about us! You know the story has to be great when you start with a sexy time!
The characters in this story are fun, ambitious, sexy and entertaining! I love when characters hit turmoil or some unforeseen twist and realize just what could happen if they don’t shape up! Alexander doesn’t disappoint! (I really hope she is writing the next story, quickly!)

Not Fade Away (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 4) by Donna S. Frelick was an excellent 5-star read. It is a wonderful addition to this series. I loved the various characters including Rafe, Charlie, Del, and Happy. The author did very well with their development and backstory. It was easy to fall in love with them. There were several other characters carried over from previous novels that I was very excited to see in this book as well.
The storyline was full of action and Romance. It was easy to follow and get lost in. The author was very organized when alternating between past occurrences and present. I appreciated how the sections had a break before each. This story had an exciting climax and the author pulls everything together well at the end of her story. I highly recommend this book and the series itself.

How can someone be identical in every aspect an yet polar opposites in personality. Mistaken identity leads to a little drama but also a little fun, if only it could last. Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell continues to follow our crime writer and Professor, Liz Reams. This time she is looking into the events of a man who is on the wrong side of the mob and Mosche Toblinsky after seeing a murder. The story is written in the same fashion as the first one, where it is based on historical events and we get to see what happened back in 1926. It also interwoven with the present with Liz’s story as she searches for events and the truth and her relationship. It is interesting and suspenseful and is not without the bloodshed and horrors back in that time when having anything to do with the mob. It is easy to imagine all you are reading due to Linda’s writing.
Tangles by Sharleen Scott is a very emotional read and one that will break your heart and make it ache. It is a story about Alzheimer’s and the affect that it has not only on the person who is suffering from this disease but to everyone around them and particular the family they have basically left behind and who have to struggle with a person they no longer know. I watched my grandfather go through it and this story brought back so many memories both good and bad. Sharleen has done a great job of sharing a story of the real life struggles.
Logan is now caring for his mother after his father suddenly passed away. It deals with the many things he is now facing day after day, grief and loss, hate and love, frustration and hope. Whilst in the throes of his caring he comes across journal his mother had written and what he finds is a shock to his system and causes him to question his whole life.
I look forward to reading what Sharleen gives us next.

I have read a few books by this author now so when I read the blurb for this book I had no hesitation in jumping straight in and overall I wasn’t disappointed! It had the author’s great writing style which I enjoy and some great characters who I found quite easy to connect with. It might not be my favourite book but her but I would still 100% recommend it! I loved the setting for the story and thought the author did a great job of really bringing Paris to life through her descriptive writing. I could completely imagine some of the scenes that she was setting. I think the twin switching was probably a little predictable but it was still an enjoyable read. I liked Abby she was the kind of character who is a little naive and actually switching places with her sister did force her out of her comfort zone in some respects. Hudson was what I kind of expected from a sexy, billionaire alpha male character but I still couldn’t help but fall for him! He was definitely a guilty pleasure! Overall a really nice read, I read it quite quickly as I was completely invested in what I was reading. As mentioned earlier I would definitely recommend this book to other readers!

I am a huge motorsport fan so as soon as I saw this book I knew I had to read it and I wasn’t disappointed at all! I was hooked from the very beginning until the very last word! I was completely swept up Will and Liz’s story – I thought they were such a sweet couple perfect for each other so when their relationship was threatened by Will’s stalker I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was going to happen! I loved the suspense that ran through the story – it definitely kept me guessing the whole way through. Although this is the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone however I absolutely want to go and read the others now – I definitely have the taste for this series! Darcy’s Caution is the first book that I have read by Ms Burton and I really enjoyed her writing style – the story was easy to read with a great flow and pace and it had wonderful characters! I can’t wait to read more from her again in the future!
AILEY OF SKYE is the type of book that I thought I knew what was going to happen and settled in for some predictability only to discover, within the first few pages, how wrong I was.
A story of discovering one’s true self and the whole nature vs nurture theory of life (there was very little nurture). Watching the growth of each character as the story evolves held my attention.
This is a well developed story with a realism and honesty about recovery and the tenuous hold we have on it sometimes. Emotionally gripping at times, with twists and unexpected situations, I read this in one sitting.
I will be checking out this author’s other books to add to my TBR.

Darcy’s Caution was a thrilling 5 star read and the third book in the Pride & Prejudice & Racecars series. I love Nascar so it’s always fun to read racecar romances and this one did not disappoint. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.
This is Liz and Wills story. Will races stock cars and his beautiful wife is Liz. These two are so in love, you can feel it come off the pages. Liz is a strong, independent woman with a stubborn streak. These two have had some challenges and they end up facing another one when a stalker comes into the picture. Will and his family take precautions to protect Liz from the stalker. Will it be enough? Can Will keep Liz safe?
All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. Zoe Burton pulled me right in with her writing and I can’t wait to read more. 1-click and get started today on this great series.
The Time Traveler’s Magic by Anna Applegate was truly a captivating read. I would give this book a four out of five stars. I loved how the book started, it really did a great job of building the world and Ember’s character. A lot of mysteries start to pile on and as the reader you find yourself asking the same questions that Ember does. I really struggled to put this book down because of my curiosity surrounding Ember, Rane, and the whole situation we find ourselves in. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Shameless is the second book in the Orphan Train Saga books by Sherry A Burton. The story is a continuation of Cindy and her mother looking through her Grandmother’s secrets in her journal. We also get the story of Tobias (aka Mouse) and his life as an orphan and being apart of a gang. It is refreshing reading this story as it has some real historical markers with in the story. Sherry A Burton did an amazing job with keeping this story fresh and interesting.I love the roller coaster ride that this story took me on. I cannot wait to see what Sherry A Burton writes next.

Rebel Jewel is the third book in the Jewel Chronicles Series by Natalina Reis. I would recommend reading the first two books so you can experience the entire story. Natalina Reis writes beautiful complex and engaging characters. It has been refreshing to see the progression of her characters from book one to this book. The plot does not stay stagnant moving in one direction. There are twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat because you never know which way to go. The story in a nutshell is about believing in who you are and set the record straight so that you are true to yourself. I really enjoyed this fantasy story and it is a must read for fantasy story lovers.

I absolutely love this series and am always looking forward to the next story. Ever since I first read about Jake Wolfe and his war dog Cody I have been hooked. This book is just the latest amazing read that pulls you in from the very beginning and it is a fast-paced journey that doesn’t end until the final page. It will have you turning pages to find out what happens next. Jake Wolfe is a man that I would want on my side. He is loyal and protective of those he cares about. One of them is his war dog Cody. They have a deep bond that can’t be broken. This story has Jake and Cody searching for a missing item that if not recovered innocent lives are at stake. Will they get to the missing item before a ruthless group of killers does? Read this book to find out. I also enjoyed reading about the many characters that Jake and Cody interact with. There are old friends and those who want those who are evil to face justice. I love how detailed the story is and I when reading I feel like I am right there with the characters. It grabbed my attention from the beginning, and I found myself turning pages wanting to know what would happen next. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Terri Murphy and Jet Chang. Terri is a young woman who has survived an attack that has left her with feelings and fears that she never thought she would have. Terri is fiercely independent and doesn’t always ask for help, even when she needs it. Terri also has feelings for her best friend Jet. Jet is concerned about his best friend and wants to help her. He has the dream of becoming an author. He also realizes that there is a romantic interest between him and Terri. What does the future hold for Terri and Jet? Even if there is a risk to their current friendship will they take a chance and start a relationship? Read this book to find out. This story was an emotional read. When reading about Terri’s character and how she is feeling is hard at times. There are issues that may be triggers to some. I felt that the story was written in such a way that you can’t help but be touched and moved by Terri’s experiences. I enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that interact with Terri and Jet. I grew to care about Terri with every chapter that I read and wanted her to find happiness. This is an amazing book to read and one I would highly recommend.

I found the story Ailey of Skye by Wendy Hewlett to be an amazing book to read. It pulls you in right from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. It is a story that will have you believing in the strength of the human spirit and of the will to survive. I loved reading about the main character of Aileen MacEwan. She is a young woman that has an inner strength that shows for all to see. She at times has to be reminded of it. Aileen is a recovering alcoholic/addict who has come to the Isle of Scotland to a house that her grandmother left her. She is trying to figure out what is next in her life. It is on the island that the past is revealed, and revelations are made. I found Aileen to be strong and independent. Read her journey as she develops a “friendly” relationship with a Scottish football legend and discovers her family ties. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. It also had me hooked and turning pages to find out what happens next. I couldn’t help but find myself caring about Aileen with each chapter that I read. I don’t believe I can put into words how deeply I loved reading this story. I would highly recommend reading it.

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen 5 stars
This was by far one of the best step-brother books I’ve read. It was different yet connectable. I felt close to Greer and went through the emotions just like she did. I wished we’d have gotten a little more of Beckett, but what we did get was great. Lots of drama, its high school of course, internal battles and also some mystery. If you like step romances, this is for you and even if you don’t, its not your average story.

While this story is a work of fiction, it is a truly moving tale of a family’s struggles dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. Tangles follows Lois’s life from childhood to the very end of her life. We get an honest look at her thoughts and feelings as she grows up, through her adulthood, through marriage and childbirth and everything in between. We see how this horrible disease affects her relationships with others and how difficult it is for them to deal with it all. Through it all, we find a love story. More than one if I’m being honest. This story is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time.
Lois’s son Logan is tasked with caring for his ailing mother, and during his time with her discovers some family secrets that are extremely hard to accept. Throughout the story we follow his journey of devastation, anger, love, and ultimately forgiveness. Tangles is beautifully written and definitely grabs you by the heartstrings. I highly recommend you pick this one up and start reading now!

The Fisher Men X-ing Lines (Fisher Men Book II) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was a hooking read that had me flipping the pages.
The second book in the steamy series, I was taken in right away. I loved the was the book was constructed, it was original, intriguing and it has this edge to it that just kept you engaged. It was that waiting for them to meet, to know if that spark, that connection was real, or just something they played up in their heads. I loved both MC’s, they were well written and well developed. The way they played off one another was magical, fun and just pure entertainment. I loved it, and frankly I didn’t want it to end. I could feel the chemistry through the pages, and that kind of talent is rare.
Overall this book is more than worth your time and energy, it’s a must read like no other and I can almost guarantee that you will not be able to put this fresh original read down. So yes, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

5 out of 5 stars WOW Forbidden is the first book in this erotic series written by Autumn Sand. This isn’t my first read by this author but I have to say she blew my mind with this book. I didn’t know if I liked or hated the book but it turned out I loved it.
Each chapter is with a different unique couple and their troubles in their relationships and sex lives. We walk through seven doors with forbidden pleasures and we don’t know what we are walking into because in Forbidden there are no rules.
I really enjoyed this story and I loved the strong woman and how they either put their men in place or just walked away from said men. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sand has in-stored for us in her next installment.
This extremely well written book transports the reader into this emotional journey of self discovery with some Scotland on the side. I dove right into these pages and devoured it. I felt transported to the Isle of Skye and felt each emotional tug in our main character’s journey. This is my first book from this author and certainly won’t be my last. Thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading it again.

Forbidden by Autumn Sand is a hot and steamy book that will take you to all the hidden places where desires live. The book is a quick novella that will captivate your whole attention. All of the stories and the characters are well developed and so hot that they will leave you a bit hot under the collar. Autumn Sand is a fantastic author. She knows how to write brilliant stories, each different from the other. If you haven’t read anything by her then you really need to rectify that immediately.
Ailey of Skye by Wendy Hewlett is a highly emotional book that will easily have you invested in the characters. This book is the first one that I have read by this author so I really didn’t know what to expect. The blurb was intriguing. It hinted at mystery and drama with a great storyline. The book definitely lived up to that. I found it so easy to be drawn into the character of Ailey. She has such a depth and complexity about her. The way the author portrayed her really made her feel “normal”. She could have been anyone of us which made the whole story seem more real. I really engaged with the authors writing style. It was well paced and developed the story well. This was a great book and a brilliant way to be introduced to this author.

Ailey of Skye by Wendy Hewlett. This is the story of Aileen MacEwan from Toronto who is recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. When her grandmother passes away and leaves her a house on the Isle of Skye in Scotland she heads there to try to find herself and decide what to do with the house. Recently being released from Rehab she’s really in a precarious situation. She wants to do this on her own but she’s scared she may feel the need to drink. Once she arrives at her grandmother’s house there is a strange man living in it. The man in the house seems to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things she didn’t know and it even becomes dangerous. Her past comes up and she’s not sure she can get thru this without the old crutch she always used. This is a wonderful story of family, love and addiction issues. Once you start you won’t want to put it down.

Secrets Never Die by Laurie Lewis is a fantastic mystery that is full of drama, suspense, danger, action, intrigue, twists, secrets, lies, cover-ups, heartache, questions, discoveries, and cleverly woven details. I always look forward to reading anything Ms. Lewis produces, and this book was no different. This is definitely my favourite of all her books that I have read, so far. I was completely absorbed by the story and was trying to figure it all out before anything was revealed. There is quite a lot going on in the story, with lots of details, and inter-connected elements which were a little hard to keep track of at times, but I soon got in the groove and loved unravelling the puzzle. Tallie Brown has just lost her mother and has been left with many questions she needs answers to. So, she embarks on a journey of discovery which leads her to Cutler’s Ridge where the story really takes off. The more she ‘investigates’ the more questions arise. Her world is shaken, and her mettle and emotions are tested to the limit. Little does she know going in that things will take quite a dangerous turn. There are secrets and cover-ups, and much to uncover on her quest for answers. Jackson James had a promising journalistic career and was on-track to great things, when it was all snatched away, and he has been living with the consequences of that bad decision ever since. When an opportunity to redeem himself comes to his attention, he jumps at the chance. Finding himself in Cutler’s Ridge on the trail of a ‘hot’ story. There he crosses paths with Tallie- and so the mystery begins. This is such a clever and suspenseful story, and I really enjoyed how Ms. Lewis pulled and twisted the tale, keeping the tension quite gripping. I loved the characters- they worked really well together. I would love to read more about them in future books. Perhaps they could have their own ‘investigation’/mystery series. ? Hint, hint Ms. Lewis. ? Highly recommended- definitely worth your time and money to read!!! Can’t wait to see what Ms. Lewis does next!

Aileen MacEwan (Ailey) had just finished a stint in rehab in her hometown of Toronto, when she inherits her grandmother’s home on the Isle of Skye. She sets off to figure out what she wants to do, and re-discover herself in the process. But when she gets there, things don’t quite go according to her plans- for a start there’s a strange man ‘living’ in her grandmother’s house. She soon discovers that this is just the tip of the iceberg- uncovering much more than she ever could have imagined. With danger making itself known, and her past coming into play, did Ailey make the right decision coming to Skye? What does she discover? What happens when danger presents itself? Will she return to Canada defeated, or will she find the stability she’s been looking for in Skye? This book has quite a few emotional elements- and some difficult topics are depicted, such as addiction and substance abuse- but the author handled it all in a very realistic, informative, and sensitive way. Ailey has been through so much, and is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. Her sobriety is tested, and she has choices to make. There was a lot of character growth and development throughout the book- Ailey in particular learned and grew from her experiences and the Ailey we meet at the start of the book is quote different to who we see at the end. I really enjoyed this introduction to Ms. Hewlett’s work. This may have been my first read from her, but it definitely won’t be the last.

This is the final book in this series and I have only read the 2nd so far before this one so really feel like I need to go back and read them from Book 1 to this one so that I can get a complete and accurate feel for this entire story and give it the credit it deserves, but for where I am at this point I must say that even though I don’t normally read this genre I sincerely enjoyed what I have read. I love this author’s style of writing and I was able to truly enjoy this genre when it normally doesn’t hold my attention.
The perfectly placed twists in this book were like AWESOME and blew me away, I loved the whole idea of the storyline and the characters were amazing. I even kind of feel like I’ve been to Natale and kind of want to go back LOL
I say read this whole series, you really need to to understand and appreciate everything that goes on in this book. You won’t be sorry it is an awesome series and one that I can’t wait to read from beginning to end and have already told others to one click all 3 of these.

Paladin’s Hell is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) by Manda Mellett. This is a spin off series from the Satan’s Devils MC series which is set in Tucson. There is some overlap of characters from the original series and I think this helps you when reading as there are a few ‘old friends’ to make you feel more at home. The main characters Paladin and Jayden were originally introduced back in the early Tuczon books when Jayden was rescued from an evil group who had been using the 14 year old as a sex slave. As Paladin was the one who carried her to safety there has always been a very strong bond between the 2 and it was assumed that they would become a couple when Jayden was old enough. This book takes place a few years later as Jayden is approaching the age of consent. When word is out that the evil group are coming after Jayden, the young sweethearts transfer to the Colorado branch of their MC. I totally adored the relationship between Paladin and Jayden. They were just so perfect for each other although some tried to keep them apart. As well as Pal and Jayden’s story, this book contains a great deal of the story of Hellfire (the prez) and his old lady Moira. I was totally captivated by their story, from their troubles in the early days and the current tensions between them. I have read some, but not all, of the original Satan’s Devils books and have really, really enjoyed them but this has to be my favourite. I stayed up to 3am to finish this book as I just couldn’t put it down.

Oh mylanta! This book is hot! So very hot. Now, it is obvious from the cover, and the name of the talented author that this will be a hot read, but I think it is probably underestimated. I loved that this book was a short and fast read. It sweeps you off your feet right away from chapter one and thrusts you into club Forbidden. Each trip behind the doors of forbidden pleasures will get hotter and hotter and leave you with a thirst for more. I was only disappointed when I had reached the end because I so badly wanted more. I will say this book being so quick of a read didn’t give you a lot on specific characters to invest in. It is more of a tease or taste of what the characters life entails. I like the lightness that this gave the read. It was a nice change of pace to have a bit of a mindless enjoyment for the afternoon. I look forward to seeing what forbidden sins await us in volume two.
I am SO sad that this series has come to an end. I have absolutely fallen in love with these characters and with Natalina Reis’s writing. I have followed from book one, Desert Jewel, then the fabulous Snow Jewel, to this and I would highly recommend that you do so as well. The story really does build perfectly with each book and you would miss so much if you didn’t follow the order.
Rebel Jewel is not short of drama, suspense, and action, in fact just when you thought the characters couldn’t possibly face more, and would be getting their happily ever after in book three Natalina Reis throws in twists and turns that will keep you second guessing yourself up until those last few pages. I am saddened to see these characters end but I am looking forward with great excitement to what will come next from Natalina Reis. I am sure it will be fabulous!

I am still finding myself quite taken with these historical fiction novels of Linda Bennett Pennell’s. When I first picked up the Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into but I was instantly hooked. So when I saw Miami Days, Havana Nights was the follow up book I had to have it and had to read it like yesterday.
Miami Days, Havana Nights was another suspenseful, and at times gory, read that kept the pace fast and my tush on the edge of the seat as I read. I loved the stronger undertone of romance that was in this one. Not only did it make the story more relatable it brought us Liz Reams, and I just loved reading her. She is a spunky redhead like myself and I found her extremely entertaining. Sam Ackerman wants nothing more than to love her will he ever get the chance to? I just had to know. I can’t wait to see what will come next from the talented Linda Bennett Pennell.
