The FIsher Men X-ing Lines was a good 4 star read.
This is Connor and Rika’s story, they have an interesting relationship. These two actually share an apartment but only communicate via text, their chemistry was undeniable. This went on for about a year. Rika is also a writer and is currently working on a book.
Will these two still have the same connection once they meet in person?
All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Nonna was a favorite of mine that had me LOL at times. Rebel Nick’s O’Dey does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. Overall I enjoyed this read and I look forward to reading more from this author. You can read this as a stand alone, however I highly suggest reading book one first.

Virtue and Vice is Book 2 in the Spicetopia series. This book had the pages of my kindle melting as I was reading it. A few characters reappeared in this book that were in book 1. Jolie and Cy are back and meet another couple named Moon and Katja Seung. The met in Greece and had a crazy night together. Moon and Katja are swingers and are very happily married. They just like a little variety. Moon and Cy kept in contact and have plans to open up an adult themed park. Cy has millions of dollars and can afford just about anything his heart desires. This book had a lot of heat in it. There was also some sadness and then the big wow factor. I was like no way!!! The author definitely knows how to throw a wrench in everything and keep her readers on the edge of their seats. I thought this book was well written and a great addition to the series. Cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next.
Rogue Wave (The Inland Seas Series Book 2) by Gwyn McNamee is a five star novel. First off, Gwyn McNamee is one of my favorite authors. I have read many books by this author and have loved every single one. I was so excited to read this next series from her. As with most series, starting from the beginning gives you more background and another great story, so I recommend that. This novel is full of suspense as Cutter and Valentina have many fights and setbacks and don’t believe they are good for each other, but for some reason, they just can’t leave it well enough alone. As the story unfolds, we are able to find joy for them and hate as well. Perfectly written!

THE BAD TWIN is a story of mistaken identity (in case you missed that in the title). Good twin vs bad twin. Good being on the straight and narrow, bad following her whims and doing what she wants to with no regards for anyone else. Throw in a billionaire boss and you’ve got a quick and easy read.
While it is predictable, the story line moves quickly. This story has many different facets; deception, misunderstanding (yes they are different), humor, friendship, and so much more.
This is an enjoyable story that I would recommend for a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Gwyn McNamee has done it again! She keeps proving to us how much of an incredibly versatile author she is!
After leaving us with that ending in Squall Line, I couldn’t wait to dive into this read, and boy am I glad I did! This book was even better than the first! I was totally captivated and entranced with this read. You are not short of epic twists and turns that have you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely love both of the main characters in this read the are opposites that definitely attract with their passion, chemistry and the back and forth they have they continue to make me want to find out more and follow their journey throughout.
I cant wait to see what else is brought to this series, this book is a must-read that you will not want to miss!

Virtue & Vice by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in the Spicetopia series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading them in order. Moon and Katja are part of a team bringing adult’s everywhere a place to play with a bit nice with much naughty. It was also cool to see the story from their view since the first book was from the view of Cy and Jolie. As always, I enjoyed Phoebe Alexander’s writing and how each of her characters are distinct individuals. This is a fun, quick read and left me wanting the next book in the series. I can’t wait to see where this continuing story leads.
The River Fairy’s Wish: A Lyrical Fairy Tale by Cyrena Shows is a delightful children’s book- with a cute fairy story for children aged 2 to 8. It has a lyrical and musical quality to it- set to a wonderful sing-song rhythm which children will love. It’s a story of magic and fantasy- with a pretty fairy, an enchanted crown, a hidden wish, and lots of other quirky and whimsical details. The story definitely has a fairy tale feel, which I found quite adorable. And the artwork is quite beautiful. I think it is sure to be a favourite for reading time, or as a bedtime story. A sweet story.

Darcy’s Caution by Zoe Burton is the third book in the Pride & Prejudice & Racecars series. This book is fun and exciting, with just the right amount of suspense and romance to keep things interesting. This book really felt like it was well rounded. The characters were all well development and had great stories. And it wasn’t just the main characters. The supporting characters all played strong parts. I enjoyed the story as well. It had a great pace about it with the author knowing exactly when to push the story forward and exactly when to let it tell itself. This was a great book and one certainly worth reading.
Elemental Fae Academy is the first book in the Elemental Fae Academy Trilogy by Lexi C. Foss and J.R Thorn. I am a huge fan of Ms. Foss and have devoured most of her books now- so diving into this book/series was a given. Ms. Thorn is a new-to-me author, but after reading this book and some further stalking, um I mean investigation, I have found a whole new catalogue of books that I can’t wait to explore. This book was everything I had hoped for, and much more. I am always a little hesitant around reverse harem stories, because I’ve been left disappointed in the past- but this book won me over in the first few pages and happily lost myself in the story for a few hours. This is a sublime fantasy with a reverse harem/PNR romance. There’s plenty of action, drama, danger, hidden agendas, tension, mystery, and sizzling chemistry. The story is definitely on the sexy side- and the heat is turned up to simmer. I love how these two authors style blended together so smoothly- I couldn’t tell where one started and the other picked up. The world building is masterful- creating a rich, vivid, and fully realised world in which to set the story. The authors attention to detail, and many creative and imaginative touches really brought the story to life. The characters are really superb- so well developed with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. I am so invested in them and the outcome of the story that there is no way I won’t be finishing the trilogy Claire thought she was a regular, human, college student going about her normal life- until the night of her twenty-first birthday- when she kisses a sexy stranger and all hell broke loose. Her world is turned upside down. She finds herself in another realm, one of Elemental Faes and magic. She seriously wonders if she’s losing her mind- because Faes and magic don’t exist, right? But it soon discovers she is in fact a halfling with destructive elemental powers that are out of control. She also has a legacy which puts her in danger. So, the Fae council decide to send her to the Elemental Fae Academy and appoint guardians and mentors- who are task with keeping her safe and teaching her how to use and control her powers. But that’s easier said than done. There is also a prophecy and a curse to contend with. Not to mention the ‘mean girls’ of the Academy, more power than she knows what to do with, some fiery chemistry, some seriously sexy men, and an intriguing ‘new’ world to learn about. So, when strange and very dangerous things start happening, it becomes apparent that there is someone with a hidden agenda- and Claire and her men can’t help but feel like there is something important that they are missing? What happens you ask? Well I really recommend you read all the spellbinding details for yourself- you’re sure to love it just as much as I have. The story is told from several points of view- which really gives the reader a greater perspective of what’s happening. It has a great pace, and a very smooth flow- which makes a quick and easy read. The story is so cleverly woven with intrigue and suspense- and the danger element ramps the tension up to maximum. My mind was swirling with possible scenarios, and potential outcomes- so I was on the edge of my seat at times looking for clues to what was really going on and trying to pinpoint the bad guy. Needless to say, the story is quite unpredictable- and there were quite a few surprising developments. The ending has me chaffing at the bit to get my hands on the next book. Luckily, we don’t have long to wait. Definitely one of my favourite reads for this year! Brilliant!

Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks. This is the 3rd and final book in the Shattered Hearts Series. Its just as good as the others. This is a very emotional read with danger, mystery, suspense, and romance all in one book. This is probably my favorite of the 3. This is the story of Chase & Kris who hooked up 8 years ago and she never heard from him again. She was left hurt and felt betrayed by him. It seemed like Kris had just decided to move on when Chase shows back up. Chase wants to pick back up where they left off but Kris isn’t so sure. She didn’t know the reason he left was for work and that he would be gone for 8 years. There is also another part of the story which is so suspenseful that you will be on the edge of your seats but I can’t tell you much or I will ruin it for you. Just trust me and read this wonderful book. It’s amazing!
This is a tale that has a slew of misdirection and incomplete information. The story while interesting seemed to move forward very slowly. There are two stories unfolding. I struggled with this one holding my attention. I could easily put it down for a couple days and not really rush to get back to it. It does have its page turning moments but most of the middle just seems to be information gathering and not too much happens. We get to know more of the towns people and try to figure out Jackson’s reason for being there and who his contact really is.
This has a ton of characters. Some are helpful others are secretive and not helpful. Even the not sharing can be helpful to this story. Tallie has an analytical mind and is able to work through because of her upbringing.
This isn’t my first book by this author. For some reason this one just didn’t work for me.

His father Del was a big name among Rescue Agents in the past but not now because he has dementia. His only wish is to go back home “Earth” but with assassin’s on their trail he doesn’t know if they will make it. Once they get to Earth/Masey, North Carolina Del’s hometown they meet Charlie McIntyre who is a Home Health Nurse for dementia patients and their families. Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell was an interesting historical suspense novel. This is the second book I have read by this author. This novel was very invigorating and jumped straight into the suspense from page one. It was a little gruesome and bloody at times. I loved the character development in this novel. All the characters were realistic and several were easy to relate to. The imagery was excellent and detailed. I had no difficulty picturing each scene as the story progressed. This was an enjoyable read and definitely an excellent change up for me. I recommend it!

…..and here I am again trying to find some unique way of describing this book written by this author that forever has me at a loss for words.
I’ll start with this book was sincerely off the charts HOT, but what I loved more was the depth of the story. I loved the first one but this one continued that story in a way that made it feel so so real. I LOVED the change of POV’s from the first book, still the same continuing story yet totally different.
This author is one of the only I completely trust to take storylines I can’t even imagine and go way above and beyond my comfort zone in my real life and make me realize there’s a whole nother world that is no less “normal” than my own, it holds as many feelings and emotions, issues and real life challenges as any lifestyle and I’ve learned through reading this author’s work to open my closed mind and truly respect that.
Phoebe Alexander is one of my absolute no matter what one click authors and has become one of my favorites to read, I can’t wait for the next as the park starts progressing further and to see who and oh my..What might happen next!

I loved this story so much! When I first read the blurb I wasn’t quite sure, reverse harem stories are quite new to me but I do love Lexi Foss and have read many of her books so I knew I needed to give it a go and I am so glad that I did!! J R Thorn is a new to me author so I was really excited to read something by her also! I loved that the authors writing styles complemented each other so well – I have no idea which author wrote what everything just blended together seamlessly. I honestly loved every second of it! I loved Claire, I thought that she was a great character, full of sassiness which I loved especially when faced with everything that she has been faced with. I can only imagine her decisions when faced with Exos and Titus! Oh my gosh they are both off the charts hot!!!! Titus was easier to like straight away, he had this warmth and kindness to him and he instantly made Claire feel at ease, whereas Exos made me work to like him – he wasn’t warm like Titus but he had something about him that drew me to him straight away! I loved them both! I am really excited to read the next two books in the trilogy and get to know some of the other secondary characters more!

Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell is a historical/suspense / romance book that once I started I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till I finished. The author does a great job of going from past to present so smoothly I didn’t have any trouble with keeping up with the story. Sam finds himself without a home and indebted to the mob. He finds himself feeling the weight of the debt when he falls for Rebecca. Will he ever be free so they can be together? Liz is a Crime Professor who seems to have it all, a great job ,the love of her life and a lead on another character from the past. Does Liz have a future with the man she loves? What is stopping her from completely committing to him? Find out what happens next in this must read book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Rogue Wave by Gwyn McNamee a five-star read that will leave you out to sea. This is number two in the Inland Sea series and they just get better with each reading, this built on the characters and story, making it a stronger and more developed story. Cutter and Valentina are just so powerful together, they have such a great chemistry it sets the page aflame. But there is a slowness to the burn, its not a quick burn and out, it burns slow and strong just like the best fires. Gwyn McNamee always brings a good story, but this one brought the waves as well.

Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell
This was a wonderfully well written story. As your reading this book your reading about the past and the present, the author did this so seamlessly that it was easy to follow. This story was rich in detail and had wonderful characters. I enjoyed reading about Sam who is a young man that is indebted to the mob and and I also liked reading about Liz who is a crime professor and I was completely captivated in where their stories would end up. There is romance, suspense, and so much more in this amazing story. I have found myself loving this author’s writing style, I can’t wait to read more by this author. I highly recommend this book.
All That’s Left Unsaid was a great 5 star read. I was pulled right in by Rowena’s writing.
Harriet is a journalist living in London. She ends up going home to London to help her mother recover from a fall. When her mother reveals a mystery to her she decides to go on a search.
Harriet ends up in Italy looking for answers to secrets that her mother is keeping. The locals were not excited about a stranger showing up in town, they end up shutting down on her. When mysterious things start to happen, she starts to wonder who it could be, is she getting too close to something?
Will Harriet get the answers she’s looking for?

This novel really, truly moved me to tears several times while I was reading, I knew when I picked up the book that it would be somewhat of an emotional read for me regardless of how sappy the story would get. I don’t think I fully prepared myself for the roller coaster of emotions I would be embarking upon. I am so glad that I scooped up this book, even without knowing the author’s previous works. I am excited to see what else may be available by Sharleen Scott now.
Logan takes us on the journey of taking care of his mother that suffers from Alzheimers. Caring for your parent without any ailments is a difficult phase in life that comes with joys and challenges alike. It is something we all hopefully get the chance to do and can at some point relate with. Logan doesn’t hold punches with how he is feeling and handling things and I loved it. His mother really reminded me of my own at times and I instantly felt connected to her all the way till that last word. I can’t say enough good things about this novel so go grab it and devour it for yourself!

Shameless by Sherry Burton was a great extension of the first Orphan Train Saga. I would give this book a five out of five stars. I truly enjoy this series, there is something wonderful about Cindy and Linda reliving all of these stories. I did not know if I would be ready for Tobias’s story when the book started but I found myself hanging onto every word. I had a lot of the same thoughts that Cindy and Linda had as I was reading. The story flows really well and is easy to follow, the hard part is just dealing with the situations. I cannot wait to read the rest of the stories.

An adult theme park on a secluded island in the Bahama’s? I’m so in! This is book 2 in the Spicetopia series and I highly recommend reading Sugar & Spice, Book 1 in the series first. At the end of book one, we meet Moon and Katja, the couple that has agreed to build the park with Cy and Jolie. Each with different skills and areas of expertise, the four of them have the foundation needed to get the park up and running. We really get to know them in this book and see the struggles they are going through that result in them wanting to find a new direction in life.
This book is a hot and steamy romance with well-developed character relationships that leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to see how this all comes together in the next book in this series!

Shameless (The Orphan Train Saga Book 2) by Sherry A. Burton. I love these books! Each one leaves me wanting to read more. This is the second book in the series and these should be read in order. Its the continuing story of Cindy & her mom finding out that their grandmother/mother was an orphan on the infamous Orphan Trains. The Orphan Trains were used to take orphans and unwanted children West to people that wanted children. They have found tons of journals in the grandmother’s attic. This is Tobias aka Mouse’s story. We first met Tobias in the first book and he was not a person I wanted to read more about but this book explains why he’s so hard. He was a young orphan living on the streets of NYC learning to lie, cheat and steal to survive. He finds himself on the Train West but once he gets there it doesn’t work out and he’s sent back to NYC. He does really well this time around and becomes smarter in the ways of the streets until he sees MIleta aka Mildred. He’s obsessed with her and somehow ends up on another Train headed West and ends up in a very crime ridden gang called the Purple Gang Society. I loved reading about Tobias and actually liked his story even more than Mileta’s! I can’t wait for the next heartbreaking story. These are some of the best books I’ve read this year!

Forbidden (Tales of Passion, Lust & Betrayal Vol. 1) by Autumn Sand – Review by Randall Murphy The setting is unique and very intriguing from the very start. It wasn’t what I expected, but the presentation of the story made it more intriguing and erotic. There is definitely some erotic naughtiness, but there is also some intrigue, disappointment, and pain. The rollercoaster of emotions will have you reviewing how you look at things. It’s not all happily ever after, but there are some edge of your seat moments and several surprises in store. This book is a great bridge between the happily ever after romance group and the hardcore erotica group in how that it has a little of both, but doesn’t fit entirely in either category.
Nicole Banks has done it again with Collision Book #3 in the Shattered Hearts Series. She has kept me engaged, captivated and wanting to keep turning the pages to find out what will happen next. This book has been another emotional rollercoaster ride but I couldn’t turn away from the read! You cannot fault Nicole Banks on how incredible she creates storylines and epic characters. These characters were real, loveable and you couldn’t help but route for them! I loved following their journey, and was glad to read it!
I have absolutely loved every part of this series, and it shouldn’t be missed! I can’t wait to read more from this author!

REBEL JEWEL is the third and final story in “The Jewel Chronicles” and I think it is important to read each book in order. All through the series there is amazing world building and character development.
This is one of those series that I will read again back to back. With each new story, it took me a few minutes to settle in and remember where my brain left off on the last story.
The author is a very skilled story teller and the images she paints with the words she writes is beautiful. At times I thought I knew exactly what was going on and other times I just kind of shook my head.
This is a series and an author I definitely recommend .

Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss and J.R Thorn 5 Stars
I have read many books by Lexi C. Foss and loved them all. After reading this book, I know this will be another series that I will adore. I fell in love with these characters: Titas ( the scorchingly hot Fire Fae), Exos (the arrogantly all powerful Spirit Fae) and Claire ( the beautiful and fated). This reverse harem starts out as a small ember that quickly ignites to an all consuming blaze. You will definitely need a cold shower after some of these steamy scenes.
Although the chemistry between the characters is palpable and the sex scenes exciting, there is more to this book. Claire’s powers awaken on her twenty first birthday and Exos whisks her away to the Fae Realm to be her mentor. With her not knowing that she is half fae and her powers out of control, Claire is too dangerous to remain in the human realm. Unfortunately, most of the Fae want her dead. Claire must accept who she is, learn to control her powers and find out who is framing her for causing chaos before she gets killed.
This story had a nice twist having the fae represent the different elements instead of the usual light or dark fae. The book had me enthralled until the end. Omg, what an ending! I’m left hanging, waiting with bated breath for the next book!

The Time Travellers Magic by Anna Applegate is the first book in the Magic Bound Saga. This is an exciting story that has everything you could want. Anna Applegate is an author that I have become pretty familiar with over the past year and I have come to expect that her books are enjoyable. This one is no exception and probably has to be my favourite to date. I loved these two characters. Rane is definitely fantasy worthy!! The overall story was was paced an exciting. I found myself flying through this book simply because I couldn’t stop reading. If this is only book one then I really can’t wait to see what else is to come.

The Time Traveler’s Magic is the first book in the Magic Bound Saga.
This story is full of action that keeps you hooked. The characters are intriguing. I mean, a vampire pirate, what’s not to love!!! Writing time travel can be iffy, but this book pulls it off pretty well. Ember has a bit of personal growth to do, but then again, don’t we all. I think maybe the character flaws she has are what make her more relatable. Overall, I found the plot interesting. It made for an entertaining read. There are some things that in the book that brought up questions, but they will probably be answered in subsequent books.
