Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart is an opposites attract romantic comedy. This is not the first book I’ve read by this author and I was not disappointed.
Poppy leaves behind all expectations and heads to New York City. It seems like she may have left some of herself behind too as she tries to hide her southern accent. She thinks she needs to fit a New York City polished image. It isn’t until she meets Mac that everything she thought is turned upside down. Mac isn’t easy to get to know at first but Poppy realizes Mac might be the only one that understands.
Poppy and Mac’s story unfolds slowly but with a lot of laughs and a lot of feels. It doesn’t get better than that!

Sanctuary by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is the second book in the Captivity series. I do not recommend reading this first please pick up book one first. This picks up where book one left us and it didn’t disappoint. This is a quick read that I did in one sitting because I just had to know where the story takes Lorelei and Aiden. This is an adventure where I was kept on my toes. There is suspense as well as a unique story. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series to see where these authors take me next. I really enjoy the quick pace and they don’t skimp on the plot within all the action.

“The Druid’s Brooch Series” is a a series of books that can be read as standalone stories. The common thread is a brooch that is passed on to family over the course of many generations.
LEGACY OF LUCK is not my favorite of the series. The descriptive writing had me fondly recalling my recent trip to Ireland, but I never connected with the characters.
This is on me, not the author. The story evolves slowly and there is a bit of repetition with events (or dice games) and circumstances. It is a fairly fast read and I will be putting this on my “to be read again list” to see if my opinion changes.

This is the third book of the series but is a standalone. I have enjoyed everyone of these novels they all are written beautifully. While I was reading this novel I felt like I was right there alongside the character’s and I could also visualise everything around them was an amazing experience. These novels aren’t usually my go to but I fully admit I enjoyed every second and cant wait to read more.

Phoebe Alexander is one author that comes to mind when I think of hot and sexy stories. Rule Breaker does not disappoint. Alexander has built up her books with confidence, building, and strong complex characters. I often feel like the characters can be close like friends in the “normal” life. Alexander brings out so many emotions within myself that I feel like I am in the story as well. The main theme of the story is about protecting loved ones. In this story Athena has a husband who recently retired and wants to bring another partner to their bed. Athena has a lot going on besides what her husband is asking of her. She is also trying to save a magazine business. There are rules out there to follow within the business world, relationships, and marital romance. Will Athena be able to figure out what to do? What rules are ok to break when others are not to be broken?

Game Changer is a standalone by Sylvie Stewart. I have read most of what she has written and as I love her way of sharing the Southern way of being with us then I was excited to pick up a copy of Game Changer and as usually, she didn’t disappoint! She gives us Poppy with her whole Southern family that cracks you up (I mean just picture Cookie and her B&B in the real world and you would get ready to make a booking and head down to Savannah on your next vacation), and then we have Mac, a beast of an Alpha that plays a totally different game … add to this mix New York and Poppy’s dream job and you are set for the whole weekend with that 412 page of goodness! You get everything you could imagine wanting – humour, friends, loving family and a genuine Southern Belle who will take on Fate any time!

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen 5 stars
I really loved this book! Two closet decade loving “nerds” meet and it all goes from there. I will say it read pretty fast and that was a sign of a great book. I loved how similar yet different these two were and how well they just meshed. Melanie, loved her. We’ve all been too nervous in certain situations but going to your boss with something so near and dear to her heart, I loved how that played out. And don’t forget Tyler, and his jerk of a boss.
This is a must read, I really enjoyed this and got some laughs too.

Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander a five-star read is not for the faint of heart. I adore this author and she never lets me down, her stories are always filled with passion and drama and some humour throw in as well, but there is also a sublime plot running through that just gets you. Office romance isn’t one I usually enjoy, it’s a little too close to my current role and its so far away from my day to day that I don’t enjoy, but this time I really did. I must say that above all else this one tugged at more than just my heart strings, there is something special about this whole story and you would be sorry to miss Athena, Warren and Ramsey.

What a brilliant introduction to this new author for me. This was such a feel-good read that is heartwarming, sweet, lovable & romantic from start to finish. I was hooked with this read from beginning to end and it was made even better by the characters that Jennifer L. Allen has created. I absolutely loved following their journeys in this read they were both lovable, relatable and you felt as though you were there alongside them with their story. I loved reading about their developing relationship and their connection that grew over, through it all you couldn’t help but wish they would get a HEA.
I can’t wait to see what else this author brings, I know I will definitely be reading more from her with future reads. But until then, I highly recommend this romance read!

This book was hot in all the right places. The characters were well developed and really bring the best out of the story. They are real, relatable and you really connected with them and their journey in this read. I absolutely loved the plot points of this read it held me until the very end. You cannot fault this author on how she writes steamy scenes, they are classy and well put together.

5 Stars
What an awesome ending to this series even though I’m sorry to see it end…Each book drew me further in and this one had me totally invested in this group…I laughed, I cried and got angry a few times. What amazes me the most is that I don’t choose this genre and these authors have me seriously wanting more.
This was a one sitting read because it is quite short and I truly can not wait to sit and reread them all together again in the near future and I hope these two amazing authors team up for more because this was completely awesome.
I totally and completely recommend this series and I can not wait to go see what else each of these authors have available.

Eternity (Captivity Series Book 3) By: Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk 5 out of 5 stars
The story Eternity (Captivity Series Book 3) by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is the last book in the Captivity series and it is a wonderful read. The story grabbed my interest from the very start, and I didn’t want to put it down until I read the final page. It will have you turning pages wondering what is going to happen next. Lorelei, Aiden, and their loved ones are feeling safe in Sanctuary. When they learn of a deadly plot that will affect all shifters they have a choice to make. Will they leave the one safe place that they have found in order to protect the very existence of all shifters or will they stay hidden in their new home? What does the future hold for Aiden, Lorelei, their loved ones, and shifters everywhere? Read this book to find out. This story is exciting and entertaining. I enjoyed reading about many of the characters that are brought forward with each book and I found myself rooting for them to be happy and be successful in all that they do. I love reading shifter stories and this book and series is a good example of why. Don’t miss out on the edge of your seat conclusion to this series. You will not be disappointed.

Guilty Pleasures Volume 3 by Joyce McCarthy is a collection of 15 erotic short stories that are all under 20 pages long- so the book is a very quick and easy read. There isn’t a ‘lot’ of story to each book, as such, so no long complex stories here- so if you are looking for intricate storylines, with complexity and depth- then this probably isn’t the book for you. But these stories are quite well written and get right to the point. Think of them as “Quickies”, and sometimes you just feel like a “Quickie” and not a marathon session. The story jumps right into the ‘action’- which makes for make for some “HOT” reading! Brad is back and we once again follow along on his sexcapade adventures. His ‘encounters’ are many and varied- from threesomes, to a tryst on an international flight, hooking up with an old crush, a New Year’s Eve encounter with 2 sexy women, getting the engine revving for a woman who’d broken down on the side of the road, and even getting it on with his boss. But these are just a few of his exploits. You’ll have to read the book to discover what else he gets up to.
The stories are: -My First Time With a Hooker (#1) – Brad and Betsy -The Hottie from the Mall (#2) – Brad and Amanda -Naughty in the Train (#3) – Brad and Joanna -Wedding Fun (#4) – Brad and Susan -My Hot Summer Training (#5) – Brad and Jackie -Business With Pleasure (#6) – Brad and Tanya -Closing the Deal (#7) – Brad and Penny -The Girl I Met Online (#8) – Brad and Natasha -Adventure in the Trial Room (#9) – Brad and Anne -Flight of Passion (#10) – Brad and Natalie -Room Service (#11) – Brad and Sonia -Fireworks With Strangers (#12) – Brad, Mona, and Celina -The Sexy Lady of the Hills (#13) – Brad and Stella -The Hot Massage (#14) – Brad and Scarlet -My Girlfriend’s Hot Friend (#15) – Brad, Betty, and Julie.
The title of each short story pretty much gives you an idea of what to expect storyline wise. So, if you are looking for a book you can pick up and put down, something short to read before bed, or waiting for an appointment, and you like a little sizzle in your reading material- then this is the book for you!
Sanctuary is the second book in the Captivity series by Molly Zenk and Sarah Biglow. It is a short paranormal romance with shapeshifters, action, adventure, and danger. And it is a very quick and easy read. After reading the first intriguing instalment, I was more than curious to see what this second episode would have in store for us. I actually found that I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one- and am well and truly hooked now. I connected more with the characters this time round, than with the first book. Even though the books are quite short, a lot happens in a short space and the characters go through quite a lot in the process. I was anxiously following along to see how everything plays out for them. After the events in the previous book, our team is on the run from the Shiver of Sirens who are hunting them- but they just seem to stumble from one mishap right into another. Aiden’s Bloodgraft is draining his lifeforce- and things take a turn for the worse. So, their quest for Sanctuary becomes a race against time. Lorelei has been thrown off her game majorly with what she’s going through. This leaves an opening for mistakes to happen, which if they do, could have deadly consequences. There are hearts at risk and lives on the line. Much is at stake for this band of asylum seekers. Decisions will need to be made, with no room for error. Our team is desperate to find Sanctuary, but if they find it, will it be everything they’d hoped for. We’ll have to read the next book to find out what happens next. Can’t wait to dive into book #3!!

I give Sanctuary: A Paranormal Romance Novella (Captivity Book 2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk, 4 stars. **This review contains spoilers from book 1.**
Aiden has been accepted into their new group, while Lorlelie has been mostly accepted. But Aiden is dying. The only hope they have is to find a place called Sanctuary. It is best for them to head out on foot, so they start out on their long journey. But the journey is not the only peril. Both Aiden and Lorelie have a price on their heads and are being hunted. Meanwhile Aiden is slowly dying and Lorelie is pregnant with a rare hybrid baby. Will they make it, or will there be more tragedy in this ragtag family?
I enjoyed book one in this series and this second book picked up right where it left off and pulled you right back in. There is action almost from the beginning, along with the characters finding their place in this group and figuring out their love lifes. The group is fun and interesting too. You learn more about the secondary characters and meet a few new ones along the way. Both Lorlelie and Aiden have to grow and adapt to their new lives and it isn’t easy.
If you are a fan of supernatural adventure/romance, this book and series is for you.

Sanctuary: A Paranormal Romance Novella is the 2nd book in the Captivity series by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. It starts right where book one ‘Captivity’ finished. I would definitely advise reading the first book before reading Sanctuary as a lot of the storyline would be difficult to follow if you didn’t. In Sanctuary, Aiden and Lorelei, along with their group of fellow shifters, are travelling towards Sanctuary in the hope that the blood graft that is slowly killing Aiden can be cured. As there is still a bounty on both Aiden and Lorelei’s heads, this journey will be met with many obstacles and great danger. I loved that in this 2nd book, we get to know the characters so much better. We learn so much more of their pasts and their aspirations for the future. Although there is great danger throughout the book, I love that it does have some humour through the story. I particularly love some of the names that they call each other, including Horse Face, Fish Fins, Free Range and Birdie Boy. I’m so looking forward to finding out how this story ends in the 3rd book Eternity (I’m already a few chapters in and it’s awesome so far!)

Legacy of Luck is the third book in the Druid’s Brooch series. It can be read as a standalone. Having read previous books in this series I can say that this one is just as awesome. The author has a great eye for detail and weaves the story in a way that makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. There are fantasy elements blended with realistic ones and it makes for a believable tale. Despite a few slow places in the story, the overall adventure, drama, and plot twists keep you hooked.

Sanctuary (Captivity #2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk
5 out of 5 stars
Sanctuary is the second book in the Captivity series written by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk is a great short read with a big cliff hanger. This is a Paranormal Romance with a twist where shifters are captive in the future and what will they risk to break free?
Since Lorelei, Aiden and their MCU allies escaped their city prison will they die searching for a shifter haven that may not exist?
Time is running out for Aiden with the blood graft running through his body and Lorelei with the hybrid baby growing in her. With being chased by a deadly shiver of sirens and plagued by disaster after disaster, they must fight at every turn for a chance at health and freedom in Sanctuary.
Can they make it to Sanctuary with-out losing Aiden? Will they make it to sanctuary before Lorelei gives birth? Will the MCU and their allies find what they are looking for?
I highly recommend this book/series and can’t wait to read book three Eternity…

Trouble in Mind Interstellar Rescue Series Book 2 by Donna S. Frelick is a Sci Fi thriller that is a compelling read. It is an amazing tale of suspense and adventure, intrigue and mystery and creatures from other worlds. This story continues on from the first one and I was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish. Old characters return and new ones take centre stage as Donna has woven a complex story with so many moving parts but the plot is clever and one that is easy to follow and flows easily.

Game Changer is a romance comedy by an author that is new to me. There were some very comical moment while reading but also some that made me want to scream. It’s a story that revolves around Poppy and Mac. Poppy gets like a golden opportunity for a career and she takes it to move from Georgia to NYC. Mac is more like the silent type while poppy is like a talkative parrot. There are many other characters that are involved and maybe there is a possible book 2 for involving two of them. I would recommend for anyone that enjoys the rom-com and the banter to pick this book up.

Aiden, Lorelei and their loved ones thought they were finally safe in Sanctuary. When they uncover a plot to put all shifters at risk, a decision must be made: cling to their isolationist freedom or risk everything to protect their people.
Aiden is the healthiest he’s ever been. Yet, he refuses to stand by as the Booshie elite poison the water supply with blood graft. Can his relationship survive Xander’s reluctance to leave their newfound home?
Lorelei’s new focus should be her baby. As long as the deadly plot affects shifters outside of Sanctuary, she convinces herself it’s not her problem. When Douglas reminds her helping others is what the MCU stands for, will she leave their baby to join the final fight?
Failure means more than just losing the home they fought so hard to find. The very existence of shifters hangs in the balance. Aiden, Lorelei, and their allies will do whatever it takes to beat back the Booshie elite. Even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2) by Via Mari
I loved this book. Another great book by this wonderful author. I am never disappointed when I read a Via Mari book, they are always full of action, suspense, and romance. This one is no different. I am glad I am getting to know more characters in each book and I also appreciate when characters from the other books show up. I don’t want to give anything away but when you read this story it fills in parts from the first book that you didn’t even know were missing. I really enjoyed how two sisters that were raised the same and how differently they deal with issues from their past. I loved the two main characters in this story and found myself hoping that they find love. If you want to know how this turns out then you must read this awesome suspenseful book with some unexpected twists and turns. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

I love this author! Seriously, I don’t feel like I’m reading, I’m immersed in every scene. I enjoyed reading about Poppy and her new adventure moving to New York. Her first weekend in town she gets lost and, well you need to read for yourself as that was one of the best first meetings ever. This had ups and downs and I didn’t expect what happened at all. And I really loved the interweaving of another stories characters from Phoebe Alexander’s Rule Breaker. Will be on the lookout for more from this author as its always amazing.

This is the second series I’ve read by Via Mari and she’s really outdone herself with this one! Bound had me drawn in from beginning to end with a great storyline and likeable, enjoyable characters. The twists, turns and intrigue this book had to offer kept the pages turning. I am really looking forward to seeing what more Via Mari has to offer!

Finding Ruth: A Daughter’s Quest to Discover Her Mother’s Past by Cynthia Hamilton
5-Stars
Finding Ruth: A Daughter’s Quest to Discover Her Mother’s Past by Cynthia Hamilton was a compelling and intriguing story. I loved following Ruth as her story progressed. I felt she was a very layered and complex character. She had excellent development as the story moved. I could not put this book down! I loved her character and the way the author chose to portray her story.
The author did an excellent job on the setting and visualization for this story as well. It had enough detail but not so much as to distract from the storyline. The storyline was easy to follow and transitioned smoothly from one chapter to the next. This is definitely a novel worth 5-stars and I highly recommend it.
