This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed how different it was. Micheal is a candidate for president but his rating aren’t where they need to be, so they find him a girlfriend named Kendall.(I love her!) They find themselves in a tough situation and end up engaged. Even though this is just a “job” the chemistry is off the carts between those two and lines are blurred between Job and reality will they be able to keep everything professional? I really liked this book and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. I would recommend to a friend.

An Appointment ( Summer in New York, #4) by Lindsay Marie Miller. I have read many books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed them all! This book was no exception. This book has love and drama, high emotion and best of all second chance at love. Savannah has not had the easiest of times lately. She is newly divorced and trying her best to carry on. She has vowed to never make the same mistake again and fall in love. One man in her life is enough, her son. When she has to take him to the doctors, due to his asthma, the last thing she expected to find was Preston. He has been hurt and left alone and also in debt due to his ex-wife. He is extremely attracted to Savannah, will they be able to put their pasts behind them and move forward with their relationship or will past insecurities ruin them? I truly enjoyed this book and I hope you do as well.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from cover to cover. It is creative, engaging and pulled me into the story right from the start. Deirdre is ready to start a new life, what she wasn’t expecting is a man like Vincent to enter into it. As her past keeps popping up, what will happen when their pasts collide? These two are about to find out how twisted fate can be. They are strong characters with great chemistry but trust could be a problem. I highly recommend this book.

Rafferty by A.S. Roberts a five-star read that will make you see music. This is the second novel in the Default Distraction series, and it has gone from strength to strength, I would say you could read it as stand-alone, but don’t as you will fall in love so hard with the boys you will need to go back and read Brody. Rafferty will warm even the coldest of hearts, this story proves just how love can concur all, it may not be the right time or place, but you fate will play its turn in the end. I have long been a huge fan of the author and this just proved again how amazing a writer she is, Lauren was someone I warmed to immediately and her battle brought tears to my eyes more times than I care to admit. This was a compelling story and one I won’t forget anytime soon, I can’t wait for Cade an Luke, even if its so we see more of Flint, Brie and Biscuit. Thank you for being amazing and bringing these great characters to life.

I think this is probably one of the best series that I have read in a long time and I was super excited to read the next book in it – Vantage Point and as expected I was NOT disappointed at all!! It was an amazing 5 star read that I loved every single minute of. I loved Hawk and Stella’s story, like the others in the series I quickly fell in love with them and desperately wanted the best for them. I loved the suspense running through the story it kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion. The two characters definitely had this spark between them that was undeniable! I love that Ms McKinley’s characters always have a past that comes back to haunt them because I get to see them overcome whatever it is and Hawk’s was one I wasn’t expecting! Although this book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone I would absolutely recommend reading them in order! I will certainly be looking forward to more from this author again in the future!

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown. This is a retelling of Cinderella where the boy is the poor outcast step child and the girl is rich, confident and beautiful. Ashley aka Ash lives in the barn with his pig Gus after his adoptive mom dies and he is outcast by his father and brothers. A girl ( Ellie) comes to the door of the barn and asks for help in finding her glass shoe and because she hurt her ankle. He helps her and then the sparks fly. Its a sweet fantasy romance that will keep you turning the pages. I loved the sweet characters of Ashley and Ellie but felt bad for them because everyone else was against them. This is a fun romance that will stick with you after you are done. Read Cinderfella for a feel good story!

This is the “prequel” to THE WOMAN AMERICA LOVES A LATTE and it was written after. I’m not sure I would have appreciated it as much if I read it first. It’s super quirky and gives an amazing glimpse into an interesting dynamic.
I cracked open the binding on this to read “a few chapters” before work. Well the chapters are 2-5 pages long so I kept thinking “one more chapter” and suddenly I am at 50% and 10 minutes late. Whoopsie. It was a book worth being late for…
I really like the way this author writes and am a huge fan of both books in this series.

Misfortune of Song by Christy Nicholas Druid’s Brooch Series #5 My rating: 4 out of 5 stars
This book is an excellent addition to the Druid’s Brooch Series. The story was easy to get into and the characters were written nicely. This could be read as a stand alone but the other books in the series are just as great and I would highly recommend them.
Almost all of the characters in this book got on my nerves or did things that made me hate them. In saying that, it really made the book all that much more interesting for me. I wanted to read on to see how each person would react to the different situations they were thrown into.
Orlagh is a fool, chasing after a love that wasn’t even there in the beginning just because of one kiss. Temuirr is a promiscuous man that can’t hold a solid relationship which, leads to his sister Yana always exasperated by the situations he gets himself into. Orlagh finds out that her grandfa is arranging a marriage for her with a man from their village, she denounces her grandfa’s care to live on her own and follow her love for Temuirr. Temuirr is surprised and taken aback, he realizes he is in too deep with this woman and may have to court her for real.
Eolande is Orlagh’s best friend, and my favorite character. She always has Orlagh’s back and is a fae that was cast out of her world because she fell in love with a mortal. She follows Oralgh in her quest to track down Temuirr to watch over her and keep her safe. Maelan, Orlagh’s grandfa and Eogan, Maelan’s best friend, go out on a search to find Orlagh and bring her home as well as to her senses regarding the traveling bard, Temuirr. Maelan makes many very terrible decisions regarding his granddaughter in the form of kidnapping her and ruining her relationship with not only Temuirr but him as well.
I don’t want to give away too much more information, but there is some stuff that goes down towards the end and really makes for a nice ending to the book. I did enjoy this book and can’t wait to look into more books from this series.

Me and Cinderella is the second book in the Dirty Rooster Series written by Kelly Mooney is a great read. The characters are colorful and the plot is awesome.

I can’t hardly believe after all the books I’ve read in my life that this book actually had me so hooked I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. All I could think about was that I must buy a copy of this book for each of my grandchildren that I know would enjoy it, and I plan to do that at each of their birthdays.
This proves to me that it doesn’t matter what age group a book is I am totally in love with detective type books with a lot of mystery. I loved the flow of this story and I grew up reading The Nancy Drew mysteries and this brought back many memories of enjoying those while my brother read The Hardy Boys and I can’t wait to share this with friends that have younger children as well.
Awesome and absolutely look forward to more from Sam and Rex 🙂

Misfortune of Song: Druid’s Brooch Series: #5 by Christy Nicholas

So even though I have read this series completely out of order I have totally enjoyed every story and this one was no different. Although I do wish I had read them all in order I do have that on my to do list for the future. This as I’ve mentioned in earlier reviews is not a chosen genre of mine but I can’t deny the writing in this story, it flowed so perfectly and kept my attention throughout the majority of the book.
I loved the character portrayal in this story from Orlagh dealing with real teenage behaviors and Maelan struggling with trying to save her from herself and also trying to follow through on an obligation. The story progressed and had me on the edge of my seat through most of it. It had many different aspects filled with danger and suspense.
I love Ireland and want to visit someday, and even though this was set in the past the descriptions of it just strengthened these hopes I have of seeing it someday.
If you love reading fantasies set back in history you will absolutely love these books.

Flesh and Bones by Nesa Miller is the third book in the Blood of Kaos series. This book has everything you could want to take you on a thrilling journey. It does really need to be read in order for a full understanding. This book is full of action and adventure. Added to the paranormal nature of the book and it is sure to take you on a series ride! I found myself drawn in to this book right from the word go. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. It was fast paced and high energy. The characters were interesting and enthralling. I really definitely enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to see what might be next.

I didn’t realize that these are novellas with whole series attached. I really enjoyed the stories and it turned up my interest in looking into the series. Each story is well written and flowed very nicely. It was easy to fall in love with the characters. They were fun and flirty which made me smile. Cowboy stories are some of my favorite romances. There are so many avenues that can be taken. Both of these stories fall into the rodeo side of being a cowboy. In these we have a former bullfighter turned restaurant owner as well as a female stock contractor vs a male stock contractor. Both are equally full of some interesting main characters as well as a few secondary ones.
These are great for a quick read or an introduction to a couple new authors. I really enjoyed each of them. They made me smile and feel happy which is what I want when reading a romance.

Don’t Let Me (Simplicit Duet Book 1) by Marie Skye was an intriguing and sizzling read. There were things I loved and things I hated and it was as frustrating as it was addicting. AND OMG the ending, well let’s just say I went, NO she did not!, you can’t be serious. It just puts everything I had read in doubt. It is a story of a love triangle that is so sizzling you will need a cold shower. I both loved and hated the main characters but they were well written and the story and mystery kept the pages turning. Marie has well in the weaving of the plot and where everyone stands or at least where everyone you though stands. There are secrets and lies, betrayal and hurt but there is also so much love. But come to the end and all bets are off and like I said earlier, NO she did not!, that came from so far out left field there is no more left.
Olivia is drawn into a relationship with one man who is in games with another man but she doesn’t know and falls in love with them both. When her past learns she is still alive things take a dramatic turn.
Damien and Jaxon are best friends and have always played the game but now the stakes are so much higher and one of them will get burned.
This is a must read, now I have to sulk until the next installment.

Terror in Boring Town (A Sam and Rex Adventure Book 1) by Hoot N is a great children’s book. It is an adventure mystery story that was written with children from the ages of 9 to 12 in mind. The story is about two young boys Sam and Rex who are on summer vacation and one who looks for everything as an adventure of some sort the other not so much but when they see a strange truck in town, the boys decide to get to the bottom of what is going on. The story is fun and original and the characters were well written and relatable. Surely to be a hit.

A Wicked Earl’s Widow (Once Upon a Widow Series Book 2) by Aubrey Wynne is a historical romance story. It is told in multiple POV’s which I love as it gives you a much better understanding of who the characters are, where they come from and what made them who they are and what they are thinking. This drama filled story will keep you entertained and on your toes. There is secrets and lies, danger and intrigue, mystery and humour. The characters are all well developed and enjoyable and absolutely wonderful. Eliza lost her husband but is still being tortured by her past and by the evil man who raised her. When her daughter and herself, are threatened she is forced to flee for their safety. Along the way she encounters an old woman that is being attacked and decides to help, which leads her to find refuge in the Pendleton estate. But unfortunately danger finds her and she is once again face to face with the viciousness and evil from her past. If you like historical romances, with a bit of thrill to them then this is a book for you.

If the Shoe Fits (The Liberty Lawrence series Book 3) by Bea Stevens is just as charming as the other two books in the series. The antics and adventures of Miss Libby are delightful and fun and her thoughts just make me laugh out loud as she always finds herself in trouble without meaning to. With our lead character there is always drama and suspense, a little mystery and a whole lot of adventure that is intriguing and keeps the pages turning. Libby has always loved fashion and shoes are her downfall so when she is transferred to the fashion side of the paper, she is in her element, but as always for Libby things get off to a bad start and only gets worse and of course interesting. Overall this is a captivating and great read. Make sure you crab a copy and dig in to enjoy the adventures of Liberty Lawrence.

The book Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard is a biographical novel based on real life events. I found it to be both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It draws you in and didn’t let go of my heart until I had read the ending page. It is an inspiring story that found me at times with tears in my eyes. There is faith, prayer, love, and family. There were moments that were sad to read about and others that are touching. I found my emotions going up and down the entire time reading. One never knows the impact of others on their lives and how you will survive and weather storms. This author has beautifully written about her life experiences. This book is one I would highly recommend reading.

What i love about this book is its not your typical romance story. There is a crime twist. TR life is threatened and after several ‘accident’ Mac and the fellow protectors have to set out to uncover who is trying to silence her and for what reason.
This books was amazing, full of twists and turns and adventure alongside a romantic story. Perfect combination

This is the first book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and i enjoyed it. It was a fun mystery that had romance, secrets and some supernatural mixed in. It is my first read by this author but it will not be my last. Set in Las Vegas we travel throughout the story to figure out who the culprit//bad guy is, and man does it really keep you guessing and in the dark til the very last moment. This book is 154 pages so i was able get through it fairly quickly. I am looking forward to reading more of this series and i would recommend to a friend.
Rafferty by A.S. Roberts is Book two in the Default Distraction series. This is Rafferty and Lauren’s story and I hope you are prepared for an emotional ride. With the devastation of their past relationship along with the need to be near her how can Raff make things right after so many years. Lauren and Raff have a lone complicated history, they were each other’s first love and heart beak but it’s Soo much more with them. Add in a failed marriage and a 14 year old son, Raff has a lot to make up for when it comes to Lauren. You feel for Lauren throughout the whole story, and Raff you want to see him work for it and prove himself but at the same time you want to throat punch him for being so stupid. Will Raff finally tell the truth as to why everything happened, because no one knows his reasoning for leaving all those years ago. When Lauren needed him the most.
Mooney is quite adept at weaving a tale with strong, stirring characters that immediately connect with the reader. I found myself immediately transported into the story and couldn’t disengage prior to finishing the last sentence. The main characters were relatable, fun, and had fantastic chemistry. Yet another book from Mooney that I thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended reading!

This is my first book by this author, I loved it! It is a short story that kept me turning pages until the end. The author pulled me in right from the beginning. A story of survival and belief. Helen and Ernest thought they had it all until one storm that will change everything for them. Will they be able to put the pieces back together? They are great characters that took me on an emotional ride that made me feel as if I was part of the story. This is a must read!

This is a must read story! I loved how I was pulled right into the story right from the beginning. The story is creative, engaging and made me feel as if I was part of the story. This story is about betrayal, secrets and you don’t want to miss the steam. Olivia, Damien, and Jaxson took me on an emotional ride that I couldn’t get enough off. They are strong characters but really Olivia is the one holding them all together, my favorite. This is a must read triangle romance you don’t want to miss.

Taming the Troublemaker (The Hills of Texas Book 3) by Kadie Scott
Four Stars
This book was super funny. I liked the way the author wrote the conversations. It made you feel like you were in on it. I definitely related to Autry more than Beth. Being the 5 of 6 kids makes you feel invisible sometimes. I do feel that he earned his reputation but made up for it by his hard work. For his parents to do what they did was shady and a little hurtful. His ability to run a ranch and love life shouldn’t be a topic together. Though I understood the reason why. Beth was a tease and too sweet for me. Though she makes Autry work for it. She makes him think and take a step back before he acts. I really enjoyed this story and will definitely check out the others. Review by @gguerrero89

Vantage Point (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 4) by Amy McKinley

Vantage Point is Hawk and Stella’s story. The two make quite a pair and really brought out each others strengths and weaknesses. As always, this novel is full of action and romance. I could not put this book down. It can be read as a standalone from the series but I recommend the other books as well. The author does an amazing job describing her characters. My heart ached for Stella in this novel as she fled from the men attempting to take her because of the choices her brother Max had made. To me he seemed very selfish and I hated how she kept giving him another chance. In all this book made for a wonderful and exciting read.

A clean “Christian” romance, Love on the Line is book TWO in the series and Love in a Limb really needs to be read first in order to understand the power that book 2 is.
Matt and Mikaela’s story picks right back up where it left off and is, once again, a realistic depiction of the trials and tribulations of the events that take place (at times almost too real) . It shows what people go through “in sickness and in health” and how love and prayer helps this family through hard times.
This story was not as emotionally exhausting as book 1 and had a few twists and turns along the way.

His First Lady by Avery Scott is a political romance story. Michael Reese is a politician running for President. He has a reputation as a lady’s man and his campaign adviser has the idea he needs a steadfast, loyal companion on the trail with Michael. Kendall Bailey is Michael’s speechwriter and gets wrangled into being the “girlfriend”. The story and characters are good. The writing is easy to follow and allows this to be a quick read. This was a bit formulaic at times but still enjoyable. I was easily able to predict where the story would go. Personally, I prefer a bit of a twist or turn to the story but I liked this was because it was an easy, fast read. It allowed me to escape daily life and get away for a bit. I will be looking for more from Avery Scott in the future to see where she goes next in her storytelling.

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas #3) by Kadie Scott was a hooking, sweet read that had me flipping the pages.
Not my first read from this author or in this series. This is a connecting series, but it doesn’t have a carry over plot, or the same MC’s. They read as standalones, so don’t get deterred by the number. But timeline wise, I do suggest reading the other books, as they have carry over characters, that and, they are just as wonderful.
This read was sweet, down to earth, realistic, and downright fun as hell. I had such a time reading this book, that I couldn’t put it down. It was a late night read for sure, and I may have been a little groggy getting up for work. Was it worth it? Hell yeah it was. This is one of those books that just hooks you from the start, not only with the engaging flow, and the easy writing, but with the energetic characters that just leap off the pages. Plot wise, you can see it coming like a mile away, but I will tell you, you’re not going to care, because this book will suck you in, and you’ll be so engrossed, that knowing what will happen will be the least of your worries.
Overall this book, if you haven’t guessed, is a must read form me, and it gets my super high recommendation, and my golden stamp of approval.
