Eastern Shore Swingers Books 1-3 (Boxed Set) by Phoebe Alexander 5 stars
What a set! Each book in this set follows a different couple, but all take place surrounding the Factory. A secret club for those that have a little different wants and needs in and out of the bedroom. All these books bring something different to the table and all have relatable characters and stories. The writing style just sucks you in and keeps you turning pages. I highly recommend this series, you won’t be disappointed.
A Frothy Christmas Kiss (Christmas Kiss Book 4) by Allyson R. Abbott
5 Stars
I have now read all of the Christmas Kiss books and I already can not wait to read them all again, just like everything else this author writes they are all in a class of their own. I loved this one as much as I loved the rest. I’m trying to think of a way to describe this story. It was like nothing else I’ve ever read, I’m thinking it was kind of awesome how she plotted out this romance that almost wasn’t between Dan and Kat and how the total lack of communication caused so much wasted time between these two.
Then there is Brian….Probably my favorite character in the whole book LOL
I love everything and anything this author writes I’ve about run out of words to explain how much, she is an absolute favorite of mine and since I never know what I might get when I open one of her books it makes me look forward to every one of them.
I highly recommend this whole series, full of Christmas Spirit and clean romance.

Degrees of Power is the fourth and final book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. I have loved reading this series and had been wondering how Via Mari was going to pull everything together, so I had fairly high expectation for this final book. After reading it I have to say what an incredibly captivating conclusion this turned out to be. Via Mari didn’t rest on her laurels, keeping the story amped up right till the end. The story/series is a great erotic romance – full of suspense, emotion, mystery, action, danger, secrets, humour, and passion. I really recommend that you read the rest of the series before starting on this one, as there are details, character information, and a bridging storyline you really should know in order to fully appreciate and get the most out of this reading experience. Katarina and Chase have been through quite a lot, and this book sees them dealing with a lot of the ‘issues’ that have plagued them. Their relationship has evolved over the course of the series and we got to follow them through all the various ‘stages’, and the highs and lows that they’ve experienced. But along with their relationship development and finding their ‘balance- there are other unexpected developments which add an element of suspense and intensity to the whole storyline. It was quite gripping in places. The powerful chemistry between Chase and Katarina produced some sizzling scenes- but there was also some more tender moment, some humour, and emotion to be had as well. This was a really great story that easily pulled me in and kept me engrossed the whole way through. A fantastic way to end the series. I can’t wait to see what Via Mari does next….

Fatal Legislation is the second exciting instalment in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series by Ellen Butler. This is an excellent political mystery- with danger, intrigue, action, suspense, drama, FBI investigation, and some emotion. Ms. Butler has cleverly constructed her story adding gripping tension which makes the whole story quite an unpredictable and intense ‘ride’. Karina Cardinal is a lawyer turned lobbyist in Washington D.C. She’s smart, controlled, spirited, independent and hard-working. After the events of the last book, Karina is now in the beginning phase of a relationship with her old college friend, FBI Agent Mike Finnegan. In this book, Karina’s finds herself embroiled in a murder mystery when a Senator drops dead at her feet, and she becomes a ‘person of interest’ in the investigation. But knowing what happened the last time the FBI swooped into her life, Karina is determined to get a jump on things and do some digging of her own to try to uncover what’s going on- after all she has her reputation, her job, and perhaps even her life, on the line (not to mention that she is voraciously curious by nature). What will become of the budding relationship (with Mike) with the pressure of the investigation weighing on them both? Who/what is behind the death/s and why? Will they figure it all out? This is a fantastic story, that had me totally engrossed from beginning to end. It has a fast pace, a smooth flow and was really easy to read. The characters are really well crafted into fully realised individuals. Ms. Butler has once again proven herself to be a masterful storyteller- easily weaving a wonderfully rich, detailed and thoroughly polished mystery- packed full of surprises which kept me guessing the whole way through. I can’t wait for more!!

A great read about decisions. After King Imbris’ death in the last novel, Emperor Evander rules over the kingdom of Alesia and people ad guild members alike are forced to swear oaths of loyalty. But when a baker goes missing and citizens start acting strangely, Wren and her friends try to escape with their lives before it’s too late. On the run, they search for Lucas and new allies so they can stad up to the emperor and free their people. But is anywhere truly safe from the might of Aprica? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldnt put down. well developed characters in new allies like Ansel as a harsh exterior but caring underneath or Dash as more than just a soldier and Hale’s struggle to do the right thing was emotive and perfectly written. A spine chilling villain in Daemastra. i loved the sense of family sticking together no matter what with Imbris and family not always being related with the Confectioners which was emotive and beautifully written. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with hidden bays full of secret beauty with its forests ad wild sea with the hardy sailors and warriors. And the sense of colour in the fruit markets o the island. also the contrast with the Apricans crisp uniforms and the too white kitchen was perfectlyl written. Once again the sense of exploration as the characters go further outside of Maradis with more islands and lands out there, with maps at the start to make locations clear to the reader. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Degrees of Power (Prestian Series Book 4) Via Mari 4 out of 5 stars When I found out there were four books in Via Mari’s Prestian Series I was a bit skeptical. I feel like so many books are made into trilogies that provide you with “just enough” and that a fourth book may be “too much”. My preconceived notions were far from correct, I couldn’t get enough of Chase and Katarina. I really enjoyed how each book picks up where the last left off with seamless continuation. Degrees of Power is no exception to this and I would recommend reading the series in order for that very reason. Once again I am impressed with Via Mari’s ability to craft a story in not just one, but four installments that has a bit of everything. Romance, passion, drama, the list goes on. I feel like in a book series like this a relationship like Chase and Katarina’s that is constantly tried could have the potential to become redundant. This was never the case in this book or series in general. I was along for the ride through every bump, twist and curve in the plot. Overall this was a great addition to a great series. I am looking forward to reading more from Via Mari!

How is this series over? Via Mari has created such a fantastic series and such amazing characters. We’ve followed Kat and Chase on such a journey. Beautifully written, this conclusion truly was the perfect capstone. I am looking forward to reading this entire series again and again. Wonderfully and beautifully written. I am only sad that the series had to come to an end.

Another charming book from Abbott. This book has it all: attraction, charm, romance, and coffee. This is a perfect addition to your Christmas reading list. Abbott is a gifted author and has established a wonderful series of books here, which stand-alone well. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will gladly recommend it to others.

Guilty Pleasures Volume 2 by Joyce McCarthy a four-star filled read. My, my, my Brad certainly is one lucky, lucky boy, even if I do find his choice of study rather complex, Electric Motors, isn’t something that I would choose, but then again if we were all the same life would be boring, and that is certainly something Brad isn’t. We follow Brad on his erotic and steamy journey and they are so hot they will melt your clothes right off if you aren’t careful.
What a fantastic ending to this series! For greatest enjoyment, readers should read this book in the order presented. These books have taken me on such an amazing journey. I have become quite invested into these characters. I am still at a bit of a loss for words since finishing the book. Luana has another winner. Loved it!

I give A Frothy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott, 5 stars.
Kat’s best friend since childhood wanted to take things further than what she was ready for. She just can’t see things that way and he can’t seem to take no for an answer. So she decided to move away and start over. Now she is alone here, without even a best friend to confide in. When she comes across a coffee shop tucked in beside a bookstore, she is ecstatic. She loves all things coffee and she can’t believe her luck. This place is just perfect! And the man behind the counter is to die for too. But he’s spoken for, isn’t he? So why does it seem like he’s flirting with her. And what about her ex? Will she find happiness?
Ok, this book centers around coffee and a cat. Right there I’m sold! But really, it is such a fun book. Kat is great, the coffee shop cat is wonderful (I so want to see more of him!), and the rest of the characters are just as good. The story is entertaining and amusing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to those who like fun, Christmas romance stories that are just long enough to read in one setting.

Hope’s Deceit (The Fated #2) by Angela McPherson was a great addition to this unique original series.
The second book in The Fates series, we’re tossed back into this intriguing world and it’s growing danger. Just so you know, this is a continuation series, so I highly suggest reading the first book, as this one pretty much picks up were the last leaves off. So you will be confused, and you will miss important plots points and character development.
First things first. I had some mixed feels about the first book, and though I very much enjoyed this book and did like it better than the first, I still got some issues. Those issues all seems to be around our fated MC, Trinity. I hate to say it, cause I wanted her to become better, but in all, sadly, she didn’t. I felt like she actually took a few steps back, when at this point in the story she should be buckling down and growing in her skills and her powers. Okay, yes, things kind of blew up and her beau is turning evil, so I do get some of her attitude, but, she wasn’t growing as a character. There was no major character arc for her, plus her maturity level, for someone that’s about to be 18 wasn’t there. If it wasn’t for the amazing plot and well crafted writing… I don’t know.
Now, the plot, detail, side characters and the overall story, is pretty great. The pandora’s box premises that this story is based around is quite interesting, and it really pulls you in. The writing is engaging, and has a nice easy flow. The pacing issues that I saw in the first were not present in this one, as the story seems to have a more clear pathway. I like the drama around Blain, actually I was intrigued by his whole situation. It was a added twist that added a much needed layer to makeup for the weak MC. The detail is something else, and really pulls you into this world.
Overall, though I am again a little split about this book, I like it, I liked the plot, I like where it’s going, and I will be reading the next books to come in this series. I believe with some more work on the MC, this series has the potential to be something epic. So please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will find an otherworldly, fresh original tale of what happens when you open that pandora’s box.
I can’t get enough of this series! As I’ve said before about other books in this series, fans of SOA and romance will love these books. Quinn and Lucas have an undeniable bond immediately. Family is the most important thing to them both, unfortunately through horrible pasts and violent deaths. These horrible memories and events come back to haunt both of them after everything seems like nothing could get more picturesque in their lives. The quick jumps from wholesome to action packed had me tearing through the pages. I need more of this series STAT!

A Frothy Christmas Kiss By Allyson R. Abbott. Another fantastic story in the Christmas kiss series. Each book can be read as a standalone without any confusion but trust me you’ll want to read them all. This story is about Kat and Dan, I absolutely loved their story and the characters are so relatable and easy to connect with. It’s a short story but that doesn’t hinder it any any way. It’s still well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. I love these stories that put the holiday spirit in your heart. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it.

It Ends Tonight, By A.M. Myers, is the 4th book in the Bayou Devils MC series. This book follows Lucas and Quinn, two people who truly know what it is like to lose family and cling to the ones that are still there. When a truck smack into Quinn and she is left pinned inside, it is Lucas who comes to her aid. As scared as she is, she is given comfort by Lucas who is helping her and also helping keep her daughter, Brooklyn in his sights. She makes Lucas promise to not leave her and that promise he intends to keep. These two with pasts that collide together throughout this store, truly show you, LOVE WILL CONQUER and CAN! The past these two carry have molded them into the people they have become and together, anything is possible with such two strong and amazing characters. A.M. Myers never disappoints when I pick up one of her books and this one I was able to get lost in another story and the world of the Bayou Devils that I have grown to love. I love that I am able to close my eyes and truly feel and see what the book is saying and what these characters feel for each other and what the past has done to them. BRAVO A.M. Myers on another 5 star read!
The Eastern Shore Swingers Book 1-3 Phoebe Alexander
Fisher of Men was a great 5 star read and book one in the Eastern Shore Swingers series.
We have Leah who is an innocent in many ways, she is working as a Customer service person at a hotel. When she meets Cap at a party that she is working she is shocked to hear exactly what kind of party it is. Although, the lifestyle is a litte intriguing to her.
Leah ends up in a relationship with Cap. You go girl! We get some steamy scenes from them. I really enjoyed reading their story and there were some interesting twists that caused some issues for them. Will Leah be able to accept the lifestyle?
Leah was a little different, coming from a small town she was experiencing a lot of new things, and she was very hard working. Cap is of course in the lifestyle but when he saw Leah something about her drew him in. If he finds “the one” he would be willing to give up the lifestyle, will that be Leah? Can they have a HEA?
The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Phoebe has once again pulled me right in with her writing. I really like the quotes at the beginning of each chapter, they are great. The ending was great, I was a little nervous at first, I wasn’t sure exactly what was going to happen. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series, I need to see where things are going with these two. —-
The Catch was a great 4 star read and book two in the Eastern Shore Swingers series.
Paisley is a burlesque dancer who has been given the opportunity to become the manager of “The Factory”. She has plans for the club and want’s to involve social media, in comes Calvin Mitchell. He is a web designer that will definitely give Paisley what she needs.
Paisley has no desire to seek a relationship she enjoys her current lifestyle. When Paisley’s past follows her to Ocean City she asks Calvin for his help. Calvin also has plans of his own, he want’s Paisley to date him but she can’t commit. However the longer they spend time together things start to change. Will he be able to capture her heart after all?
This is a great read with so much more. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Paisley is a strong woman with great confidence. Phoebe does a great job of pulling you in with her writing, you won’t want to put it down until your done. There is a HEA and no cliffhanger. 18+ suggested for reading due to content. ——
Siren call was a good 4 star read and the third book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. This is an erotic read with F/F storyline.
Jessie is a police officer with some not so great things in her past. She discovered that she was gay while she was in the academy and is a member of “The Factory” a swingers club, thanks to her friend Paisley. When a new member of “The Factory” starts to cause some concern, Jessie is asked to keep an eye on her.
Sirena recently joined the club and she seems to be drinking a lot and leaves with someone different every night. There is something about her that intrigues Jessie, so she is more than happy to help her friends.
Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope. – Maya Angelou
There is so much more to this read. As Jessie gets to know Sirena we get a look at each of their pasts and it’s heartbreaking what each of these women went through. They also have some very steamy moments together and at the club. There are twists and secrets revealed that added a great element to the story. I enjoyed the ending which includes a HEA. A Tangy Christmas Kiss, by Allyson R. Abbott, is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series. This story features an overseas trip, a language barrier, and crazy antics that ensue. The story was fun to read with charming characters. The characters gave this story a lighthearted feel, along with some craziness – which always tends to come with family. This is one of those stories that are a guilty reading pleasure when you need your time away. It had just the right amount of humor to be entertaining. A great holiday read.

Degrees of Power was a great 5 star read and book four in the Prestian Series.
We start where book three left off. This is a great must read series, I highly suggest reading the first three books before this one.
We continue to watch Katarina and Chase’s relationship develop. She starts to give him more control, which is hard for her. We also see Katarina show some great strength as well. There is of course some outside danger that cause some issues and adds a great element to the story.
We of course get suspense, plenty of hot and steamy BDSM moments, love, action and so much more. This is a couple that I have grown to really like, they are great for each other. Chase quickly became a favorite for me and I liked Katarina’s innocence in the beginning and watching her develop throughout the series. I was sad to see this series end, however I can’t wait to read more from Via Mari. My emotions were all over the place, I was happy with the end but would have liked to have a little more. It Ends Tonight by A.M. Myers is book four of the Bayou Devils MC Series. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the books in order. Not only do the characters from previous books make appearances but the books are just that good!
Lucas’ only family is his brother Clay. For that reason, Lucas has spent a lot of time trying to bail his brother out of trouble. Nothing he’s tried has worked but he can’t give up. Lucas never could have guessed that witnessing a car accident would bring someone in his life that would become important to him.
Quinn understands hardship. She’s experienced some losses that haven’t been the easiest to deal with. She never would have guessed how safe and comfortable Lucas would make her feel. An unexpected meeting turns Quinn’s world upside down and now the future of her and Lucas’ relationship may hang in the balance. Will they be able to survive the turn of events or will their family end before it could even begin?
This book took me on a journey I wasn’t expecting. I absolutely loved these characters and their story had all the feels! I couldn’t put this book down. I didn’t want it to end!

Degrees of Power The Prestian Series Book 4 by Via Mari
Four Stars
I couldn’t live such a dangerous life. Fear a constant emotion. Kat lives a life full of love, passion, drama, possessive men and drug lords. Chase is a possessive man he needs to control everything around him. He learns to compromise with Kat on many things. I would love a guy like Chase but not as possessive. I liked that he cared about what happens to her but when do you get a breather? The author gave us a little bit of everything in this story. There was so much danger for everyone involved. The story was quick and smooth. I liked how the author bring these characters together. How they have grown from book one to book four. They definitely show growth in their relationship.

Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose is book one of the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series. This book is the debut novel for this author. I was blown away! I finished this book in the matter of a couple of hours. I couldn’t put it down!
Izzy and Dawson have been together for quite awhile. Their relationship grew from friendship to more. Their relationship hasn’t been easy given Dawson’s career but they’ve been making it work and it works for them.
Dawson’s dream has always been music but his Izzy is his heart song. His career kind of gets in the way of his relationship as he can’t claim Izzy like he’d like to. Will Izzy and Dawson be able to make their relationship work?
I didn’t expect this book to turn out the way it did. These characters are so easy to fall in love with. This book evoked so many emotions I was just stunned when I finished it. I can’t say enough about this book. I can’t wait for book two!

Degrees of Power, Book 4 in the Prestian Series by Via Mari 4 out of 5 Stars
This story is a continuation. Please, do yourself a HUGE favor and read the first books in this series. You will love the,. Katarina and Chase are continuing on their insane journey of life and passion. Katarina is a strong woman. And by that I mean super strong. This woman has gone through the ringer and has come out standing on the other side. While she still is needing to come to terms with the trust issues that she has in her past and those that she is currently facing with Chase, she grows by leaps and bounds as a person in this installment and you can tell how much power she has as a female character in a book of strong male leads. Chase holds his own. He loves Kate. He is even able to put up with her independent nature and her distrustful side. He grows with her. He learns her and she learns him. He begins to understand that within a relationship, especially one founded as theirs was, there is a lot of give and take. Chase is a strong foundation of which they both stand and he is determined to not let them fail. I highly recommend this series. You will fall in love with this story. This author has a masterful way of creating beautifully detailed scenes and intricate characters who are strong, independent and full of life.

It Ends Tonight (Bayou Devils MC Book Four) by A.M. Myers. This is the fourth book in the series and I loved this one possibly more than the previous books. I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Lucas. Both Lucas and Quinn have not had the easiest of lives, they both have lost loved ones and are trying their best to come out ahead. When they meet, it is instant attraction but Quinn definitely has her guard up. Will they both be able to put the fears behind them or will past fears cause them to risk their chance for happiness. I highly recommend this book as well as the previous books in the series.
Greta Cribbs is a mastermind. Venganza has become one of my favorite books. The tone for this story is a dark thriller. Greta Cribbs does put a warning with this story. I would take it seriously as there are twists and turns around every corner. This story has elements that can shake a person right down to the foundation of their beliefs. Greta Cribbs has created characters that are fully developed and they are on a mission. This story is the prequel to Primogenito. That story tells the fate of Damian at the hands of his grandfather and uncles. Leo is Damian’s father. Renato is Damian’s grandfather who is punishing his father, Leo for leaving his family. If you are wanting a great thriller this is the book for you.

Claire Luana is an excellent YA author. With me saying that I love her books. I am finding more and more authors in the YA section that I enjoy reading. The Confectioner’s Coup is a mystery, fantasy, magic, and danger all wrapped into one. This is the second book and with that being said I would read the other book because you will have the background information. Wren is looking for the Guilds, who just happening to be missing more and more. Wren is not sure why they are missing. Will Wren find the Guilds in time? Will she have her answers she is looking for? I cannot wait to read book 3.

Hope’s Deceit is Book 2 in the Fated Series by Angela McPherson. For the ultimate experience, I recommend that you read book 1 first to give yourself the best understanding of the characters and the plot.
This book continues straight after the events that ended book 2. The action starts straight away and doesn’t let up until the end! This book continues to suck you into this world, that the author has created, she has once again made this a mentally visual read throughout. I got so caught up in this book and it’s incredible storyline and characters, I was gutted when it ended, I was completely captivated with this read from the very beginning right up until the last page. The book was filled with twists and turns throughout that had me on the edge of my seat. I cannot rate this book enough. But after all the things life throws her way will Trinity finally get her HEA?
I can’t wait to see what else this author brings to the rest of this series – I’ll be eagerly awaiting Book 3.

5 Star Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series book 4) By Via Mari is the fourth book in her A Prestian Series. If you haven’t already read the first three books in this series I highly suggest you do as this one picks up where the last one left off. This is one of my favorite series I’ve read in a while it’s one I will definitely be rereading again and again. I was instantly hooked from page one till the very end. Will she be able to learn to let chase control some things? What happens when the try to keep family and friends safe? These two are off the charts HOT!Get ready for some twist and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. I highly recommend this Book especially if you want to know what happens next with Chase and Kate. I look forward to seeing what this Author comes out with next.

Degrees of Power by Via Mari is the fourth book in the Prestian series. This series does need to be read in order as it follows one couple throughout their journey, each book picking up where the last one left off. The author really knows how to keep a story going. Four books in and I still enjoyed reading every second of Kate and Chase’s story. I really like how all the way through the book, as with the series, I just never knew which way it might turn. I never knew quite what to expect from the author and her story. As with the others this book flowed well. It was fast paced and gripping while also knowing when to take a step back. The characters were as interesting as they always are. I can’t wait to see if there will be more to follow.

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams Book 3) By Abbie Roads. This author knows how to pack maximum punch in her books without it feeling like it’s overwhelming. This book just like the others had me completely intrigued and drawn into its pages filled with a roller coaster ride. It’s got everything I was looking for in a romantic suspense story. Drama, action and twists I didn’t see coming. Throw in characters that are incredible you have a five star story I couldn’t put down. Thomas and Helena are characters I won’t be forgetting any time soon, each one brought unique parts to the story world and I loved each one. I can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next. I highly recommend this book.
