Miller and Maisy’s story is one that reminds you not to judge a book by its cover! Like the first two books in this series, things are not always as they seem. Add in the character of Bear, Maisy’s brother who provides a laugh a minute and you have yet another great book from this author. Definitely recommended!

Deja Brew All Over Again is the third entertaining book in the Love on Tap series by Sylvie Stewart. I have loved the previous two instalments, so I had pretty high expectations for this third addition, so I am happy to report that Ms. Stewart definitely didn’t disappoint here (does she ever though). This is Miller and Maisy’s story, and we have previously met Miller the first two books, and he hasn’t had an easy run- so I wasn’t sure what to expect- but I LOVED getting to know these two- and this book just might be my new favourite of the series. It’s getting harder to pick a favourite as each new instalment comes out, they just seem to get better and better. This is a superb romcom with a ‘runaway bride’ element that certainly made things interesting right away- the story also has plenty of feels and emotion to balance the fun and humour. The funny quips, banter, one-liners, chemistry, sizzle, family dynamics, drama, small town setting/dynamics, sizzle, and intriguing developments made this an entirely engrossing read. I really recommend this book, and I can’t wait to get my hands on Book #4! Happy Reading!

The Uncrowned King is the second book in The Blood Prince Trilogy. Like her previous book the writing was wonderful and absorbing and most definitely enthralling, nothing like what you would expect from a high schooler. Ayla Marie most certainly has talent and I will look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Okay that cover? BEAUTIFUL. It’s what drew me in at first. But 2 GREAT stories in 1 book? That’s what kept my attention. Plus the story and the characters were phenomenal. Starting off this book got me in the first paragraph. That never happens to me. Usually it takes me 1-2 pages to get into the book. They saying “The devil’s in the details” is absolutely true in this book. There is so many things going on at all once, but it isn’t overwhelming and gets lost easy. It stays on track and gains momentum. I love the different POV’s. It gives you a look into the character’s thinking and how they are processing things. The story between Amelia and Dane was insane. Amelia is trying to get out of her arranged marriage, while Dane is doing something completely different AND trying not to die by aggravating Kassandra. This book has everything for everyone. Magic, different races, Academia romance, chaos, mayhem and so much more. I absolutely loved it and simply can’t wait for Dragons!

3.5/5 stars This was my first read by this author and I would read another one of her works. However this story didn’t do it for me. The synopsis is very good and I went into the book with high expectations. There were a lot of times where I didn’t know what was going on and had to reread. It’s very detailed but I think it’s over detailed in some parts which makes it hard to follow.

I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up The Blood Prince by Ayla Marie, and I actually found book two first. The Blood Prince is this authors debut novel and I was flabbergasted by how much I really enjoyed it. I didn’t know until I looked on Goodreads that Ayla Marie is a High School student?! What? It definitely did not read like a novel written by a high school student. Such suspenseful, well done writing. I can’t wait to read book two.

Deja Brew All Over Again by Sylvie Stewart is book 3 in the Love on Tap series. This could be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend the first two books (you will not be disappointed).
I was so excited that Miller had got his own story. Have you ever wanted a background character to have their own story? That was Miller for me in this series. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Just like the first two books, I couldn’t put it down and I read it in one sitting.
I will honestly say I was in a bit of a reading slump and was excited to read this, and it got me right out of that slump.

Miller is his families troublemaker. He will admit he has struggled since his Dad’s death but he is trying to mend his ways a little. He never expects to have a runaway bride in his car, nor that he continues to help the stranger by offering her and her half brother a place to stay. He wont deny he is attracted to Maisy but with the mess swirling around her could she feel the same way?
Things are difficult for Maisy, she tried really tried to get a better life for herself but she couldn’t do it. Miller turns out to be her rock. With family issues swirling around them both can Maisy take a chance with Miller or is it doomed to fail?
What a delightful series. You fall in love with all the characters, I will say that Bear was my favorite. He is a hoot. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Miller and Maisy and thought it was spot on for his character for Miller to just go with the flow. Another great one by this author.

Smooth Hoperator is book two in the Love on Tap Series by Sylvie Stewart. Although book 2 in the series, it easily could be read as a standalone. I do suggest reading book one Ale’s fair in love and war not because you need to but because it’s fantastic. I truly enjoy Stewart’s writing. I love this series, I love the characters and love the story lines. If you haven’t started reading this yet, grab Ale’s fair in love and war first and then read this one. You won’t be disappointed and they are truly quick easy reads.

This series is fun to read. The author paints a picture of the world of 1930’s era Los Angeles, where Sparky lives and finds ways to keep herself out of trouble. There are many things that could come up but Sparky doesn’t give up. It can’t be safe as an 11year old Orphan but Sparky makes due. She really has a personality that you can connect with. Sparks’s main goal in this book is to help her friends and benefactor keep away from the Cannibal who is attacking people. Like the first book, I felt like I transported to Los Angeles and learned a bit about the area and time. Thank you for keeping this story going, I really enjoy Sparks’s character.

The second book in the series, The Uncrowned King, is full of action and excitement! I do not recommend picking this one up without reading the first as it picks up right where the first one ends. Leo and his family deal with several twists and turns that I didn’t see coming in a story that ended too soon for me! It follows the structure of the first following multiple points of view of Leo, Elana, and Cael. Leo just wants to find peace for him and his family. Will he finally accomplish his goal, or will he be stopped. This author is quickly becoming one that I will watch for their work. I hope you have your responsibilities taken care of because you will ignore them while you get lost in this book! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

This is the first book in the series and what an amazing start! Since I hadn’t read anything by this author before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleased to be pulled into an adventurous YA fantasy that pulled at my heartstrings. It is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions with characters that you root for and become invested in quite quickly. This book didn’t feel rushed at all, which I fully appreciated as the author took care in creating a magnificent world. Do yourself a favor and get in this book for the weekend!

Miller finally gets his own story and it’s about time. Over the past two books, we’ve learned a little about him but now he gets the spotlight and boy does it start out pretty interesting!
Miller just managed to walk out of the courthouse, elated that he got fined and some community service hours to do. He was fully expecting to find himself in the slammer. Instead, as he’s pulling away, a fluffball of white jumps into his car and demands he start driving away. He now has a runaway bride on his hands! Whatever is he going to do with this beautiful creature that is inhabiting the small confines of his car?
Well, being the ….er….respectable man that he is, Miller takes her where she directs him. He’s enamored by her though and realizes she works fairly close to the bar where he works with his brothers. Needless to say, he is hoping he will see more of her….and he does.
Maisy’s story is pretty interesting as well. She’s running away from a marriage of convenience but moreso convenient for her father and not so much for her. She’s also worried about her little brother Bear and the life that he’s currently living. She finds solace in the Miller’s family home and then finds herself in a dilemma that she’s not sure she can get out of.
This rom-com is a fun little read. The language is a bit strong and I almost put it down but I’m already invested in this family from the previous two books. This book can be read as a standalone but could be more enjoyable by knowing some back story on the other family members. Lynn’s story is next and I look forward to reading more about her, as she’s been a pretty silent character up to this point.

Once again I had a great time following Leo and co. on their adventures learning the way around their new lives. I was again drawn in by the characters and the world surrounding them, well-written and full of twists to keep you engaged to the end.
I have become emotionally invested in the character’s lives and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the Blood Prince series, a great fantasy read. It daws you in from the beginning and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and the world that thye inhabit.
I enjoyed following Leo and his family on ther journey, routing for their success. The plot was interesting in why they made the choices they did and their hopes for the future.
There were moments the danger had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t get enough and had to know what would happen next. The secrets and twists making this need stronger as I read on.
Enjoyable read and now onti the next in the series!

What a sweet and fun children’s book! ‘The Round Box’ is the 2nd book in the Grandma’s Closet series by Lois Wickstrom. Everyone is busy and Carrie, looking for something to do, finds a box marked ‘Fascinator’ that her Grandma left behind when she moved across town. Carrie is indeed fascinated by the box and opens it to find an interesting hat. Putting it on, Carrie finds all sorts of things that might have been mundane before, but are fascinating now. The story flows nicely and I like how some of the words are made more interesting by the use of a different font or graphic. It would be a good book to read with a young child as the illustrations are lovely too.

Sweet Dreams by Claire is the 2nd book in the Capture the Light series by Nanette Littlestone. Still, I found that I could read it as a stand-alone novel as there are slight references to things that happened in the first book, but this book focuses on a new story with a new main character. Claire helps her mum in the family bakery in Claremont, Ireland but is frustrated with her mum’s determinately traditional offerings and her reluctance to change. Claire has big dreams of expanding the range of the bakery into more decadent desserts but her mum won’t allow it. An accident involving a bike and cupcakes where she meets Finn sets in motion a chain of events that will change Claire’s life in unexpected ways. Finn is the brother of Brigid, a character from the first book, whose wedding plays a large role in this book This is a delightful small-town romance with family at the heart of it. Family dynamics play a part, as well as pre-wedding dramas, a touch of magical realism, and gaining the confidence to make choices that will affect Claire and her life moving forward.

I was so excited to get my hands on the next book in this series and I think this one has to be my absolutely favourite so far. I was hooked on this story straight away and it didn’t let up the whole way through. The characters were absolutely fantastic, and easily some of the best that I have read about in a while. Each of them drew me in, including the little brother. I thought the book was entertaining, amusing and a completely brilliant story. This author has quietly become one of my favourit go to authors and this book is the perfectly example of why. It was well written, engaging, fun and truly a brilliant book to read. It can be read as a standalone but this is a series that is worth reading from the start. I am so excited to discover more from this author throughout the year and I loved that this is the book I started with.

I had almost forgotten about this series until I saw this book out and knew I had to get it. Martin knows how to write an enticing tale in this genre. I was so excited to jump in. Betrayal of the Gods is the fifth book in the amazing Relic Hunters series. Whether you are a YA or in your sixties like me this adventure story is another exciting tale in this excellent series. This is my favourite in the series to date, but I do tend to think that with the others. Martin gives his readers plenty of thrills, mystery, drama and danger that jumps off the page. Add in some twists and turns in this complex and engaging storyline and you have an action-packed story that has been cleverly woven into a tale that cannot be missed. With historical facts mixed in Martin has created something so engrossing that you will not want to put it down. Adam and Matt are in the fight for their lives this time. It is the brothers against the world and now they don’t know who is friend or foe as they race against time learning myth and legends to find what they are after but with everyone against them things are not as hopeful as they should be. This one will have the blood pumping as you race against hope with them. I can’t wait for more from Martin.

Wow, this is action-packed all the way. Adam and Matt are in trouble. We see them get through on their own when all is against them. We get to see them go through Greek Mythology this time. This is book 2 in The Blood Prince Trilogy and wow the story just keeps getting better. I do strongly recommend reading these books in order as if you don’t you will miss major details that you need to be able to understand and follow this book. This is a YA story that is full of action and adventure. There are so many twists and turns in this book that I couldnt put it down until I was finished. The authors world and charcter building was amazing and really brought everything to life. Even though this is a YA story I found it just as enjoyable in my 30s and I am so excited for the next book to see how the story ends. I feel like I have been on a rollercoaster with these characters through good and bad, heartbreak, sorrow and happiness. They are like family that you don’t want to let go but at the same time I want to see what is in store for them next.

There is darkness and deep feelings, the characters are amazing.<br />The second in this duo of books is Relentless and we follow Derreck as he tries to keep Layla safe and out of trouble as she is desperate to keep her sister safe. This was my favorite story. I love vampire type stories. This had me wrapped up from the start. All the drama and mystery. Adam and his friends had their hands full. This had the best story with the evil coming back and overtaking items. I am loving this series.
