This is book 2 Ground Rules Series, it can be read as a stand-alone but it’s nice to have the other story. I loved Noah and Zara’s story. Zara is a confident career driven woman. As a sports agent she has a rule to never get involved with a man that plays sports. Noah, an all star sports player, who’s been in love with her since that night he rescued her from a fire. Their chemistry is strong, neither can deny it. Once they finally reconnect, sparks fly! Watching them learn to understand each other and themselves is was wonderful. I’m very excited for the next story in this series.

Shalom Israel by Melissa Lavi is a fun, illustrated ode to Israel. It is a bit of an adventure through Israel, in pictures and verse. The photographs contained in the book are beautifully captured and really bring Israel to ‘life’ on the pages. With illustrated characters immersed in every scene that help guide us on the ‘tour’. From beaches to deserts, farm gardens to the Dead Sea, the modern to the ancient- this book shows every colourful, historical, diverse, cultural, picturesque, and vibrant detail. This book was a fun read and I enjoyed reading it. It was a cute story that showed children that being different is not a bad thing. The story showed the whole town was able to come to an understanding of just how important Colleen’s dad was in maintaining their world. It is a good story and I recommend it for anyone who has children who want to read.

Grand Slam is the third book in the Ground Rule Series by Bree Kraemer. This is a sublime contemporary sports romance with a bit of an opposites attract element, drama, angst, chemistry, and emotion. As expected, this story made my heart feel every detail- experiencing every high and low right beside the characters as the story unfolded. Ms. Kraemer has a talent for heartfelt stories- and always manages to pack a lot of heart and soul into her books. While also crafting endearing characters you feel you ‘know’ and want to hang out with- even if they frustrate the death out of you from time to time. This is the third book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. But having said that, I highly recommend reading the other books in the series as well because they are equally as good. I’m not sure if this third book is the final in the series, as there is no mention of a fourth book (yet). But I sure hope there is more coming… Happy reading.

When Heath’s sister unexpectedly goes into labor on the weekend of her baby shower, it leaves Heath and Grace unexpectedly alone in her house, where both start to question their feelings for one another. When Heath adopts a dog from the shelter Grace runs, and unexpectedly rescues Grace from a set up for a date with a friend of her brothers (that she wants no part of) by pretending to be her boyfriend for a family dinner, the pair start to spend time together and sparks fly, despite Grace trying her hardest not to let that happen. There is plenty of steamy scenes, lots of heart and even a sweet dog (or more), and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Now, moved back home and running his families Landscaping business Joe leads a solitary life but when his colleague invites to the local pub, Joe is fed up of being on his own and decides to join him but when he meets the woman who ruined his friend and cause the devastation with made him take his own life, a plan of revenge creeps into Joe’s mind and Hunter becomes the hunted.
Hunter is lost in life, not quite sure where she is going but has the goal to get her son moved from her mother’s clutches to be with her. Although she is not one for relationships, the love them until they want more then she dismisses them and moves on, but when the tall, dark and Alpha walks into the bar her insides call to her to get to know this man, but when she finally gets to be with Joe will she be able to be the submissive woman he requires and needs.
This is the first story I have read by this author, and I enjoyed the book thoroughly, although at the beginning I found it tough to get into once over the initial couple of chapters it was intriguing and flowed well. I loved the character of Hunter, she was sassy and thought she knew who she was, although when Joe started introducing her to certain ways and behaviours her whole mind set needed to change and understood the need to be with Joe.
I always love a good, flawed character and Joe is another one to add to my pile, with his alpha male tendencies and the pure dominance he was great to read as a character. The relationship was lovely to watch as a slow burn and knowing the true reason at the beginning for the relationship was interesting to see the whole love blossom in the end. The ending of the story was brilliant, and I am glad they got there happy ending.
Can’t wait to read the next story and see the sexy Master Kurt’s story.

Kurt has always had a soft spot for Arley, as a kid in the neighbourhood he knew what was going on in the house of his best friend but with college Arley’s brother and Kurt drifted further apart until one night he did not recognise the man who just beat up his sister to an inch of her life. Losing track after all these year’s he is surprised to see her in his club. Since coming back from Afghanistan, he is not really interest in the lifestyle but when he sees her behind the bar, he starts to have feelings and wants her to be his. So, when she is in danger can he protect her at any costs.
I loved this story; Kurt had been so tempting in the first book and was glad to get to read his story. They had both suffered so much and just wanted there happy ending and I am so glad it came together in the end. Arley was a brilliant character to match with Kurt and reading their relationship and chemistry blossom and grow was wonderful and brilliant to read.
There are triggers within the story which some people may find hard to read but I feel this shows the strength of character that Arley was and that she needed a strong Alpha to care for her although she rebelled against it at every turn in the end it was a lovely relationship to discover. I can’t wait to read the next story and see which sexy Dom this relates to.

Ethan has popped up in the other books along the way and I am so glad you get to see him in his full story. Ethan to me has always been coasting along the way not really finding that someone he can totally open to, but seeing how the relationship between the two of them grows from Enemies to lovers is lovely to read. The overall struggle of Ethan in the end to try and reconcile the way he wanted to use her to then understand the feelings for her was brilliant.
I really can’t wait to read the next book.

That’s quite the difference in a romance. It was a new one for me. I found it different. The verdict is still out but the story was exciting and quite challenging. This was a sweet, steamy romance that will melt your heart. Baseball, animals, babies, and a true love…who can want more. These two sparked at the bachelor auction and tried to avoid it. They tried to push each other away but not happening. I enjoyed watching this relationship develop as Grace came with a lot of baggage that she had to work out. As she came to realize that she is a strong woman, the story became so much better. With Zara involved as your friend, you know it’s going to happen. Heath brings goodness to the story. Another wonderful installment to the series. A quick, entertaining read.

I feel compelled again to point out straight away that even though this is book 3 of this particular series, if you haven’t read book 1 or 2 don’t worry as this can be absolutely be read as a standalone without issue. This talented author has yet again weaved a storyline for us readers that sees steamy moments, great characters and story twists weaved together to keep us all captivated and thoroughly entertained. I know I have said that before but it still rings true so it has to be said again. Ethan and Siena are great characters who will completely draw you in and keep you turning page after page.

Damon and Sky’s drama continues.. you definitely need to at the very least read Brutal Days prior to reading Brutal Nights because Brutal Days ends on a cliff hanger that is continued into Brutal Nights. The drama does not cease in this novel. The love that Sky holds for her best friend (or ex-best friend) is amazing, even through the thick of the argument they are in.
I cannot recommend this series enough to anyone who is a fan of romance that has an actual plot line. These are also very short, easy reads. They take me an hour or two maximum for each novel. So you end up with a great book series that helps you reach your reading goal for the year more quickly!

This is an author whose writing I enjoy but I have to admit for a while I wasn’t sure of my feelings towards this book. I am very glad I kept reading though as I did enjoy it and I do absolutely recommend everyone reads it. I guess my slow connection with the book came from the lead characters. I really wasn’t sure about them but as good writing often does as the storyline developed so did my understanding of the characters and I was definitely won over. It is a great series start and I truly look forward to reading more

Such a great read that’s so richly detailed. A beautiful way to pay homage to such a beautiful culture. The way the story unfolds with loss then love blossoming and enduring like a desert flower. With a strong female lead that learns to adapt to her new life with a long lost grandfather thunder makes her way in the world battling her own trials within herself and amongst her peers / rivals.

I really enjoy this authors stories as each has a lesson or 2 to learn as well as having such great illustrations! This was a fun story showing a child’s imagination and how he teaches the messy kids how to clean up. Was a really fun read my kids enjoyed it.
This book was beautifully written as I love to delve into childhood lovers romances like this one. I love how these characters bring a balance to one another that makes your heart pitter-patter. A love as innocent as theirs makes you root for them no matter what the challenges. I’m all for stories like these and their endings. Great build-up and addition to the series!

“Ways to Improve Bailey” by Cori Cooper is a delightful young adult romance set in Flagstaff, AZ. The dynamic between Bailey and her brother is a constant source of laughter, as he takes his role of looking after her seriously and provides her with a list of ways to improve. Through her encounters with a peculiar guy at the yogurt shop where she works, Bailey learns not to judge a book by its cover and discovers important truths about herself. The characters are lovable, the romance is sweet and clean, and the setting creates a great sense of community.
With its fun and loving characters, “Ways to Improve Bailey” offers an enjoyable reading experience. “The Messy Kids” by Lois Wickstrom is a children’s book that attempts to convey the importance of cleanliness and tidiness through the concept of “messy kids” who possess a whimsical quality reminiscent of pixies. However, I found that the original message of the book did not come across effectively. The imagery of the “messy kids” seemed more confusing than illuminating, and the child’s admiration for their messy ways felt contradictory to the intended lesson of cleanliness. Personally, I did not find this book to be my favorite from this author, as I believe there could have been a clearer and more engaging approach to teaching children about tidiness. Unfortunately, my 4-year-old grandson shared the sentiment and grew bored before we even reached the halfway point.

Brutal Nights was such a good read. Brutal Days and Brutal Nights are Damon’s books. After that cliffhanger at the end of Brutal Days, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Damon seemed like he was the most Blah out of the 4 guys. After reading this, Your going to fall Inlove with him. I honestly didn’t think Damon had it In him but I totally Swooned for him. Parts of this book reminded me so much of Riley’s story. This definitely had a lot more going on. Gia and Sky were best friends but will they be able to remain best friends when Gia refuses to hear Sky out? Gia and her family have done a lot for Sky and her mom especially when they needed it. Will Gia be there for Sky when it really counts? Run don’t walk….RUN and get this book today.

I have read many of Lois’s books, and this one is just as cute with underlining messages. Holding Up has both a giant and monsters, and through the story, teaches the importance of not bullying or name calling, and persevering and being each others’ champions. I liked how the character holding up the sky could be anyone’s dad and not a super hero physique.
A felt the book was a little wordy for the youngest crowds, but ages 4 and up should appreciate the story. The colorful illustrations add to, and not distract, from the story.

Holding Up the Sky (Giants and Monsters) by Lois Wickstrom. I love this author so much. She always writes the cutest stories and they all have a lesson in them. This one is about Colleen and her dad who is very tall and whose job it is to hold up the sky or at least that’s what everyone thinks. People are scared of her dad because he is so big! Colleen just wants everyone to love her dad and not be afraid of him so she decides to have a party so everyone can see the dad she loves. While at the party her dad lets his hands down to play with the kids and strange things begin to happen. Read this fun, cute book that teaches us that just because someone looks different doesn’t mean they are bad. My 5 year old nephew loves this book and they make great gifts as well.

This book is book two of the series. Each book can be read as a standalone but honestly both books so far have been really good so I recommend both!
Zara doesn’t do relationships. She has her career and her no strings attached approach to “relationships”. Noah poses an interesting challenge though. That being, he’s been attracted to her since he found her naked on his couch. Zara, however, just needs to convince herself that she can’t stand him and doesn’t want him. Can Noah be patient enough to win her over or will he get the message Zara is trying to send?
I really enjoyed this book. I’m not surprised though because the first one was good too! This book has just the right amount of push and pull between the characters. You quickly get invested in the story and can’t wait to see how it plays out. I highly recommend!
What a beautiful story! Neyah lives in Africa and Abby lives in America. Though they are in two different worlds, they are brought together and realize they have more in common than they thought. The girls work together to find a solution to change their worlds.
This emotional journey shows the power of coming together, even far apart. Have your tissues ready for the mixed emotions of joy and sadness! I cried happy tears, and I cried sad tears. It was fun to see the characters grow as they came to understand one another. Their strength and determination are awe-inspiring. Your preteen, teen, or young adult would love this book!
