Amy’s Rebellion (Gemstone Massacre Book 1) by Julia Goldhirsh – Review by Jennifer Reimer

Amy's Rebellion (Gemstone Massacre)Amy’s Rebellion by Julia Goldhirsh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a little different then the normal im use to. The author did an amazing job putting the real world and the fantasy world twisted together in this story. The characters were very well written that it made me feel like I know them and was in the story with them. Amy is a strong lead character that has some very powerful magic. the story itself is very well paced and easy to keep track of what is going on. There were a few twists and turns in the story that I did not expect and kept me reading more. This book was filled with magic, fantasy, paranormal, romance, danger, drama, action, and so much more. This was an all out good book to start a series, I did not know that there is a prequel and really feel like I would know more to go with this book, even thou it was good on its own.

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) Audiobook by Liza Snow – Review by Charlisa Wahtomy-Alba

This book was great from start to finish. An age gap, teacher student romance that will keep you entertained. The story flows flawlessly and the voices of the narrators fit very well with the dialogue. I have never seen any kind of performances like the ones described here, but it makes me want to go and watch the live action. Chandler has been a master aerialist mastering his craft over the year in his family’s business. Cassandra saw his perform once and got his autograph after a show which made her want to become an aerialist and to study under him was her dream. He has been waiting for a protege of her magnitude for a long time and now that she has arrived, she has not only captivated the audiences with her performances but his heart as well. Both are keeping secrets from one another which adds to the mystery of the book and keeps you trying to figure out what is happening. If you have children, I will definitely say don’t listen to this in their presence. The steamy scenes are a bit too steamy for little ears. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book of the series.

Noah’s Not So Super Summer (A Super Series–Book 1) by Brittany Tucker – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

Noah's Not So Super SummerNoah’s Not So Super Summer by Brittany Tucker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Noah’s Not So Super Summer is Book One in the Super Summer Series. It starts out with a bang as twelve-year-old Noah is desperately trying to escape from a group of bullies that are pursuing him. In an effort to evade capture Noah dodges into the bathroom of a local gas station and hides in one of the bathroom stalls. This is when Noah’s life goes from bad to worse as suddenly, he is being attacked by a mutant rat the size of a moose.

This becomes the turning point in Noah’s summer as his dream of being in The Summer With Supers Youth Program is crushed. A program he wanted to join in an effort to become popular, gain respect, and with any luck get away from the bullies that torment him. Instead, his dad forces him into helping him with his failing Mega Maintenance Company. Now he has to spend his summer cleaning up the destruction left behind after the mutants as they terrorize Lincoln City. Noah decides that he needs to investigate who or what the mastermind is behind the mutants and try to stop whoever is responsible.

This was a fun and enjoyable read for all ages. The characters were wonderful and the growing pains they experienced were relatable. Noah, especially, was a character that any kid who has ever been bullied can relate to. All he wanted was to be bully-free and popular. He felt the way of doing this was by taking part in the youth program with Supers. When his dreams were crushed, and his plans changed for the summer, Noah found a way to make the most of it. He decided to try to stand up and make a change by trying to rid the city of mutants by investigating who the mastermind was creating them. Noah was both smart and courageous which is admirable and inspiring. This book was full of action, suspense, drama, danger, adventure, bullies, mutants, and of course, super heroes. A twist on the classic tale of good versus evil, bullies versus the good guys.

White Picket Fences by Kyle Ann Robertson – Review by Nicole Thompson

“White Picket Fences” by Kyle Ann Robertson is a stunning masterpiece that I couldn’t put down. From the moment I picked up the book, I was transported into a world of complex characters, powerful emotions, and vivid settings that left me feeling deeply satisfied.

Robertson has an incredible ability to weave a complex narrative that effortlessly incorporates a range of themes, including love, family, friendship, and self-discovery. Each chapter was carefully crafted with precise language and a deep understanding of human psychology, which made it impossible to put the book down.

One of the things that stood out to me the most about “White Picket Fences” was the authentic voice that Robertson used throughout the book. The characters felt like real people with unique experiences, perspectives, and flaws. They were multidimensional and often surprised me with their actions, making the story all the more exciting and unpredictable.

Overall, I would highly recommend “White Picket Fences” to anyone who loves beautifully crafted stories that tackle important themes with nuance and depth. It is a truly five-star book that I know I will be recommending to all of my friends and family. Kyle Ann Robertson is a gifted author who I will be keeping my eye on in the future.

Where Fire Meets Flame is the first book in Yours From The Ashes and is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I’m a fan of this author and never hesitate picking up anything she writes. This maybe my favorite yet. I devoured this fast-paced short story in one sitting. I had to know what was going to happen next. This is Tristan and Riley’s story. He rescues her from a fire but will fate bring them together a second time? Can he keep this detective safe? There’s definitely some sizzling chemistry between these two. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

I love a good enemies to friends story and this one did not disappoint. I really enjoyed Natalie and Grayson. The back and forth between the two really helped move the plot which I thought started out slow. I enjoy reading this author and would definitely recommend her books. I look forward to the next one!

Ten Thousand Shells and Counting: A Memoir (Teenage War Survival Book 1) by Nadija Mujagic – Review by Jennifer Crain

Ten Thousand Shells and Counting: A Memoir (Book 1) (Teenage War Survival series)Ten Thousand Shells and Counting: A Memoir (Book 1) by Nadija Mujagic
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book reminds me of Diary of A Young Girl- different war, different circumstances, but the same incredible, amazing, and sad story. Despite living through wartorn Bosnia, Nadija survives teenagehood by experimenting with dancing, boyfriends, school, and family relationships, akin to todays’ modern teenagers.

I enjoyed the book, abet with tissue in hand, because Nadija’s innocent yet scarred voice shines through her memoir. The inclusion of war time recipes was also interesting, and the creativity of the refugees to make do with bare supplies was encouraging.

Elena Kincaid starts you out just right. Who doesn’t love an immediate sex scene beginning. This story is a twisty love tale with a slight triangle that is just staring from the back. I really enjoyed the tale of how Riley fell for Tristan at first sight but nothing allowed them to go farther. Shannon loves Tristan too and sometimes one love is crazier than the other. Can’t wait for the next book of this series.

I enjoyed reading this new romance story by this author. I have enjoyed reading this author’s books and this one is no different. It is a fast paced story where Tristan rescues Riley from a fire but what will happen when fate puts them together a second time? In search of justice, they may just find safety and heart barriers are broken down. I enjoyed both of these characters. They add so much to the story which makes it easy to read. They are strong, supportive characters that are relatable and pull you into their world. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout and their chemistry is undeniable. They truly made the story for me. This is a hard to put down story that will keep you coming back for more. An engaging story that you don’t want to miss. This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. I enjoy reading this author’s book from the first one and this one is no different. This is a fantasy story where Maren finds herself having to leave home and leaving with someone she doesn’t know if she can trust, Kane. I really enjoyed both these characters and what they brought to the story. They took me on an adventure that didn’t stop and had me wanting to know what happened next. I found this book well written and easy to read. An entertaining story that you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings. I highly recommend this book.

Ms.Gluhm! YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!!!! Wow , wow! Just when I thought I could sit back off the edge of my seat, I found myself jumping back to the edge!

I am normally pretty good at figuring out what is going on in a book……NOPE NOT THIS TIME.
I really felt like Sloan (main character) and myself were decovering what has happened in HER life all at the same time.

If I wasn’t before I definitely am now. I will forever be a Shanessa Glumh fan! If she keeps writing them, I’m going to keep reading them!

Tension, tackles and truce
This is the conclusion of Riley and Cole’s story. What a roller coaster this has been. From the novella, Savage Start and throughout Book 1 Savage Lies, I knew this was going to be amazing. Cole is a o force to be reckoned with, but Riley has a strength that can withstand so much. Together there are sparks and chemistry. From enemies to lovers these two play a deadly game. I highly recommend this series (start from the novella!) and can’t wait to continue on with Brutal Days.

The second book in the Space Force Rejects series. A sci-fi romance that will not disappoint. Action, danger, romance and adventure are just a few things you have to look forward to. This book can be read by itself but I highly recommend reading book one first to get an even more in-depth look. I am not usually a sci-fi fan but this author is really growing on me. 4 stars
Where Fire Meets Flame is a fun contemporary romance. It is the first book in Elena’s Yours From The Ashes which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, it is a short, but it is a sweet, sexy and steamy read. It is filled with action, a spot or two of danger, a little suspense and a dash of tension. There is humour within a world where vengence keeps getting in the way.
I enjoyed the amazing characters and the world that Elena created.
Riley Scott is a private detective and one feisty redhead who is not looking for a relationship the reinforced steel around her heart says so. That is until she keeps crossing paths with one sexy man.
Tristan finds himself coming to the rescue of one independent and sassy woman who finds herself in the heat of things more often than not. She doesn’t know it but one look in those eyes and he was a goner.
Can he keep her safe?
It is sizzling, hot and scorching with flying sparks in more than one way. If you are not careful you will caught in the fire.
I look forward to more from Elena.

Hmm, a tale of spontaneous combustions with a little psycho stalker. Oh, let’s not forget a dash of steamy romance. I found the story of Tristan and Riley quite intriguing and fun to follow. You could feel their chemistry. They had their own drama to take care of. I do wish the story could have been a little longer. It was quite exciting, colorful, and adventurous in this short read. Who doesn’t like a story with firefighters? Come on, you know you do? A quick ready to enjoy over a weekend.

Last King is the first book in the Legacy of Riverfall series by Amabel Daniels. Wow- what a fantastic start to this awesome new fantasy series- I was completely hooked right from the start and found myself completely immersed in the story, losing all sense of time and place. I devoured the book in one sitting and the next book can’t come quickly enough.
This is a wonderful fantasy adventure with action, fae, kings, magic, monsters, paranormal elements, danger, drama, tension, intrigue, an exciting quest, romance, and incredibly interesting characters.
I was quickly invested in the characters, and the outcome of their story- following along on the adventure and wrapped up in all the exciting developments. This is definitely one of my favourite reads from Ms. Daniels- and as this book ends on a cliffhanger, I really can’t wait to get my hands on Book #2 to continue the adventure.
Highly recommended!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Amabel Daniels!

This book was one of a kind. I’ve never read a book similar. Hearing about a nurse who loves healing so much that she lets it drain the life out of her is awe inspiring. Lillian will do anything to save her sister’s life, but it may not be enough this time. Until she meets Tristan. He needs her too. So in their mutual agreement, they work together and end up getting a lot closer than they thought. So, of course, everything that can go wrong does. Read this book. It’s entertaining, magical, and so fun.

A Fox. A Healer. A Broken Soul.

Foxy Tails by Natalina Reis is a paranormal MM romance with shifters, magic, danger, action, adventure, fate, revenge, banter, humour, folklore/mythology, and more.
This has all the ingredients that I normally love to find in a MM romance- so it should have been right up my alley. And I love Ms. Reis’s stories, so I am not sure why I didn’t completely love this story. I found it hard to connect with the characters and so that made it difficult to invest in them and their story. I felt like something was ‘missing’, for me. I also didn’t feel the chemistry/connection between the characters- and I so want to love their romance. Maybe it’s just me, and I am having an ‘off’ reading day here- so I am planning to come back to this in a few weeks and reread it to see if I still fell the same way, or not. So, stay tuned.
Don’t let me put you off reading this book though, as it is a good story…. And Ms. Reis does weave a well-written tale. Jump in and make up your own mind.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Natalina Reis!

I’m having a hard time coming up with the words to adequately describe my feelings on this book aside from I loved it.

Rowan and Chris worked so well together and the sparks between them flew almost instantly and it only got hotter as they spent more time together.

Once again there is some suspense with all of the weird stuff happening, some laugh out loud moments especially when Alex was around and then there were some incredibly hot moments like the massage…..

I have been so impressed with this series and this author and I look forward to one clicking as soon as I see her name.

Omg I finally get to read the second one🙌🙌🥰🥰I was extremely excited when I seen this had came out. This is the continuation for the Space force rejects series; it follows the out of this world love story between Sera and Markus. Operation Escape was truly almost as good as the first (the first one being my favorite) 😆 but it was equally adventurous with a new dangerous world. The author knows how to build a world and then constantly keep you guessing. The author also takes you deeper into the world giving you more details connecting this book to the first. I cannot wait til Book three comes out 🥰🥰😭 I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us. Fingers crossed it has just as much action as this one and the last.

The candor and brutal honesty of this series is grand. Like there’s nothing hidden, you see and hear everything. There’s always a mystery to be solved, and… Reluctant characters drawn to each other through thick and thin. The irony of the bonds being with others that they’d never see themselves connected with in any other way outside of Space Force. 👏👏👏 *Round of applause*

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was excited to read Book 2 in the Space Force series and this book did NOT disappoint!!! This book gave me sci fi adventure, betrayal, loyalty tested, fated mates, angst, danger and hot sizzle between Sera and Markus. I highly recommend reading this series in order beginning with book 1.

Sera is on a mission…her mission is trying to find out what happened to her missing uncle,
Dr. Garsett, whom you meet in book 1. Sera seeks the help from Markus, whom was part of the military and knew Dr. Garsett as well. While seeking information about her missing uncle, the definite attraction to Markus is trying not to cloud her determination to find her uncle.

Markus is determined to help Sera, feeling like he owed her due to knowing Dr. Garsett in a previous life in the military. When lies and betrayal come about with helping Sera, they are both left on Earth deserted. Seeking to find answers and friendships to help with the finding Sera’s uncle, the attraction and scent of Sera…Markus knew he couldnt deny any longer they were meant to be.

Will Sera and Markus be able to find out what happened to Dr. Garsett while trying to fend of people who are out to get them and also being betrayed at the same time?

I am already looking forward to what happens next in this series when book 3 comes out. This series has totally surprised me and I am enjoying the ride!

Operation Escape is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series, and just like the first it will keep you entertained the whole way through. It was great to follow Sera and Markus on their journey, especially because Sera was incredibly relatable. She is awkward but strong, which I love. The author does such a great job creating chemistry between Sera and Markus, and there are plenty of steamy scenes as well. I recommend picking up Operation Pinpoint first as it will give you a deeper look into the world. This is definitely in your lane if you enjoy steamy and romantic sci-fi adventures!
