This book was a fun read. It had characters and circumstances that were relatable. This is the 4th book in the series, but I was able to read it without reading the others and I didn’t feel like I missed anything. I really enjoyed this story and now want to read the others! I love that there was some humor thrown in. A moody guy having to deal with something that breaks his grumpiness is fun and entertaining.

My heart……..this was a really good story with romance and heartache….I thought the first book in this series got me a bit….this one got me as well and took me on another roller-coaster of emotion. I love becoming enveloped in a story that just full of emotion and some raw moments.
Both Grace and Ryan have had such loss in their lives. Grace loses her best friend and Ryan loses his brother to suicide. Grace is trying to keep it together, with not only losing her best friend, but the threat of her family farm as well. When Ryan loses his brother and feeling at fault, he leaves and decides to go in business…no strings nor attachments. When opportunity knocks and Ryan comes back to sell his mom’s farm, Ryan also tries to buy part of Grace’s land. Will both Ryan and Grace come to terms not only in regards to the farmland but their hearts?

I thoroughly enjoyed book six in this explosive series about vampires, humans, wolves, and witches. The author did a great job of doing a subtle recap for readers who have not read the previous books in the series. It absolutely helps to have read them, but it can be read as a standalone as well. The attraction between Calabrea and Tansia was immediate and according to the Vade Mecum, the vampire’s guide and rules for the past, present, and future, it was fate. Tansia was a stellar heroine, who was strong and able to hold her own, while still being vulnerable. Calabrea was a dark and sexy vampire, who also had his moments of vulnerability that made him all the more appealing. Not only was the story steamy as all, the story line of trying to track down the rogues who are trying to take down the vampires, continues to heat up. It sounds like there will be 12 stories planned for the series, and if that is the case, I am so excited to see where the story line will go and which characters will take center stage as they fight to preserve their way of life.

The problem is that most of them that claim that don’t deliver. When I first picked up this book it was in the middle of a series, I had never heard of this author, and while it sounded good I didn’t hold out much hope. I am so glad in this instance to have been wrong as I didn’t have any trouble getting into this book and blowing through to the end, this book definitely delivered and I really enjoyed it. Like most books of its kind you have some familiar characters and things will make the most sense if the books are read in order but they can also be read as a standalone. You should give it a read.

Wow I was definitely not expecting to finish this story so quickly. However once I started I couldn’t put it down and needed to finish to find out what happened! The Exchange by Nadija Mujagic was a short and fast read. Sam is a recent high school grad who aspires to be an actress. And as any young aspiring actress does, she moves to LA to live out these huge dreams. Once there, she finds out just how hard the industry is and how you can’t trust just anyone. After finding out some hard truths, shes faces with a decision that will change the course of her life forever. It’s a good read if you’re looking for something that you can’t completely guess what will happen.

A fast-paced, attention grabbing story! Although it’s the third in a series, it can be read as a standalone fairly easily. There are a lot of characters and moving pieces to this story, but once the reader has a handle on the picture you will keep turning the page to figure out what is going to happen.
I really enjoyed the setting and characters that made up the story. The plot was unique and I loved the concept of the cold case relating to present danger, it brought another element and depth to the story. Lila and Elizabeth are a dynamic duo, with Elizabeth both haunted and driven by the past and Lila with a new perspective but her own past. Can they work together to solve the case and finally bring peace to the town?
I can’t wait for the next installment, as well as to go back and read the first two!

I have never been disappointed by Sylvia Black, and Master Calabrea doesn’t disappoint! I love paranormal everything, so this series has been perfect! The chemistry throughout this book is sizzling and steamy. I couldn’t read fast enough but somehow got to the end far too soon. Master Calabrea is leading a hunt for a terrible enemy of his vampire community. When he’s partnered with Tansia, who is known to have visions and powers, will they work successfully together or be the end of each other? I’m ready for the next book to see what the author has in store for us! I highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series. You should absolutely give it a whirl because if you remotely like anything to do with vampires and paranormal romance, you will fall in love with these!

Meeting Cole and Charlie in her dreams at the age of nine. Maddie’s best friends who she ends up falling in love with as she gets older. Imagine her surprise when she meets them in person. Though it has it’s paranormal aspects it intrigues me as those relationships are a lot more common now. I highly recommend this book especially if your open minded.

This is Book 6 of the Masters of the Consulate. Even though it is the 6th book it can be read alone without confusion as to what the other books were about. That being said, reading in order does help to build a nuance that you’ll miss otherwise. In this book Calabrea is given a team to help track down and bring in a traitor. On this team is Tansia, a psychic who has her own issues from the past that she is working through while getting drawn deeper and deeper into the world of pure bloods vs the traitors. When she’s attacked and left for dead she and Master Calabrea are faced with decisions that are life altering decision (literally).

This story was enjoyable and definitely tug at my heart strings……with romance, drama, grief and secrets. When Ella’s sister passes away, Ella now becomes the guardian of her niece, Tessa. Ella navigates raising Tessa and trying to work and support her. When legal matters approach Ella with being Tessa’s guardian, Lawyer Jake Taylor just wants what is best for his family while being very leary of Ella and Tessa. All Jake wants to do is protect the hearts of his aunt and uncle, whom after meeting Tessa fall in love with their little grandchild. But as Jake gets to know Ella…will Jake do what is best for both his family and for Tessa and Ella as he also navigates feelings for Ella?
This story was a roller-coaster of emotions for sure….and definitely full of secrets. I loved the little bit of slow burn between Jake and Ella. Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

Echoing Hearts is book one in CR Alam’s The Echo Series. Dean and Rae were quite the interesting pair. Though they were both stubborn, they were also scared and just wanted to be loved – even if they didn’t seem as if they did. Though Dean felt dry in a romance novel aspect, he felt real, like someone I would or could know. Rae was the sunshine in your cloudy day and always the positive one. I loved that about her character. I felt as though I truly got to know the couple as individuals. It made the story that much better. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was an amazing read that filled me with so many emotions! I did not read the first book in the series, but after reading this one I will definitely pick it up to start from the very beginning. Grace lost her very best friend to suicide, which is heart-wrenching all in itself. The loss of her friend hits her terribly hard (understandably) but then she is faced with a difficult task; buy her parents out much earlier than she has planned, or lose their family farm altogether. Ryan enters the picture with some solutions, some a few demons, and an insane chemistry with Grace. Will they end up being a great team, or will their decisions alter their life for the worse? I highly recommend this astonishing, emotionally charged book. I’m heading to pickup the first in the series right now!

Sylvia Black’s book Master Calabrea (Masters of the Consulate Book 6) was a thrilling romance book! If you love books with vampires, witches, human warriors, villainous rogues, and wolves, this book is for you. Two main characters we get acquainted with include Tansia the human warrior, and Master Calabrea the vampire master. We also get to know their friends and companions: Embry, Lucianna, Lucas, Overmaster Descallia, Raven, Angel, Roman and so many more. We wouldn’t want to leave out the not-so-friendly characters in the book including Isala (Lucianna’s sister), and Sierra (Master Calabrea’s jealous ex). This book starts right out and takes you on a journey to find the illustrious Isala, who is luring other affiliates from all the different groups to join her to overthrow the vampires. Will the vampires be able to work together with members of the other groups or will they find out that they can trust no one? What’s up with the fire burning between Tansia and Master Calabrea who just met for the first time at the beginning of the book? Will these two continue to ignore their attraction or will Tansia’s humanity be too much for Master Calabrea’s vampiric ways? How does Sierra react to the obvious attraction these two have for one another, you’ll have to read the book to find out these answers and more.

This is a Historical BWWM and my first by this author. It’s about Jo a servant falsely accused of killing her master and Dusty a very grumpy cowboy. It’s a sweet and slow burn read. Definitely interesting if you like Historical Romance. Going to give the other books in the series a try.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Noah’s best friend dies and leaves her baby to him. Thanks to his brother and his wife they introduce him to Amy the soon to be nanny. As he tries to find the baby’s dad, he and Amy get closer. I really enjoyed the fact that he is a single dad struggling, it’s not always a single mom so it is awesome that she shows another view. Definitely want to read the first 3 books now.

I do feel as though it was missing something, which is why I did not give it 5-stars, I just cannot put my finger on to what it is missing. Overall, I enjoyed The White Knight Cowboy. If you are looking for a quick romance, give this short story a try.

Wow was my first impression of Book 2. I read book 1 and loved it so much. I didn’t think this series could get any better but it did. The Veil of Corruption is an amazing Young Adult fantasy book. It was a very fast paced and action packed book. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

This story was absolutely adorable. It moved fast but i enjoyed it the entire time. This story is about Noah who has a female best friend pass away suddenly, leaving him as the guardian of her baby. Noah has no experience with children and never thought there would be a day where the reality would be him as a guardian but here it is. Overwhelmed by grief and new parenthood, he gets help from his brother and Sister-in-law who bring along Amy to help care for the baby as she has been in search of a nanny job. Noah almost immediately hires Amy as the nanny and things quickly move from there. The attraction between these two was sweet and i really enjoyed the build up and their first kiss. Noah was precious once his softer side was revealed and Amy was easy to love from the very beginning. I think this is more a slow burn romance and in this scenario i really enjoyed the nanny side of it. I did not agree with Noah’s choices regarding the child at certain points but overall i like the way things all came together. I now want to read about the other Pierce Brothers though.
I do have to note that the cause of death for Noah’s best friend was a little triggering for me as my Dad died the same way and it actually caused me to have to stop reading this for a little bit. I wont reveal the cause as its not spoken about until a little bit more in the book but i do hope that authors don’t continue to use this as a cause of death often in future books. That is entirely a personal issue and if i did not have such a personal history with that it probably would not have bothered me as much but that did bring the book down for me a little. It seemed like an unnecessary COD.

This is the first book in the Made in Heaven series. What a way to start. The characters were very relatable and real. I loved the way the paranormal was brought into this story. The way the characters meet is so unique. Maddie, Cole and Charlie compliment each other so well. The suspense in the book also kept those pages moving. I enjoyed this children’s book. This author has a way of weaving a story that teaches young children something new and interesting about their world. I found the story about monarch butterflies really cute. I recommend this author to anyone who has kids as the stories are not only good but educational.
Echoing Hearts was a good romance book. It starts with Dean, a successful, handsome, CEO, getting stood up at the altar. Then three years later, he is a changed man who is just walking through life. Rae, is a renowned travel blogger who is asked to go do a piece for Home Magazine on a house in the south. Rae does not know who the house belongs to and seems confused when she pulls up to an empty house, however, it actually isn’t empty when she stumbles upon a sexy man doing laps in the pool. Their meeting was rocky, he didn’t want to be disturbed, and she told him how it is. They quickly however learned to tolerate each other for that short weekend Rae would be doing the piece. Months later Rae is attending an event for her BFF Brandon who fronts a band – Dean happens to own the company that signed the band. The two have sporadically thought about each other, but due to the rocky start were intimidated about running into one another. However, the two do meet and begin a friendship. This quickly turns into something else but you have two individuals not wanting or not “available” for a relationship. Rae doesn’t believe in love and Dean is still “dealing” with being left at the altar. Can the two of them find a middle ground to further their friendship and get over their pasts? As I stated before, the book was cute. The banter between the characters was on point. The book was a little longer but the chapters went quickly. Rae is an independent, straight shooter. Dean is a stuffy, misunderstood, heartbroken man, but at the same time has an air about him. The two complimented each other well. However, as a 40-year-old woman, I am getting tired of the “miscommunication” romance. The book seems to have a lot of moments where if you just say something and listen carefully, the drama could be avoided, but I guess we live for the drama. I did like how you could feel the change in both characters and the love jumping off the page. I will be interested in reading the next book in the series.

The most recent book in the Pierce Brothers series was definitely my favorite one! I have been a long time fan of this author, and with every book that I read by her, she solidifies herself as one of my new favorite authors.
If you haven’t read any of the other books in the series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone novel but I personally enjoyed it more because I knew some of the other characters in the book. I was definitely sad to reach the end of the series but I am happy with how it played out.
The two main characters were easy to fall in love with. I enjoyed watching Noah come to the realization that he is happy being a family man, and watching Amy help him come to the conclusion while slowing falling in love with him. I wish we could see how their future plays out, but in the end I am happy to have read this book.

Here’s a vampire story with not much graphic vampire action. Some romance and angst, lots of action and adventure. And for me, lots of questions.
This is book six! in this series. Yes 6! There were times when I knew there was more to the situation, characters that had a past, something lingering. This story ends in a cliff hanger so there’s more coming, which is a good thing. I look forward to reading the first 6 stories to see why the Masters are chasing Isala, who or what are the Descallia, who are the syndicate and why do they seem to be the “elders” but also the troublemakers? I look forward to reading the next story too, so I can find out what happens with Tansia, she has things going on and discoveries happening but there is more for her!
The writing is strong, and I can tell this series is good. I definitely advise reading this series in order.

Grace and her family have run Blue Sky farm for years. She has a cheese maker using the families farm resources as part of her product. Ryan who is their neighbor and her best friends brother has returned back to town ten years after his brothers death. Ryan has made offers to buy the barn but has been turned down every time. Grace is still upset that he left as soon as his brothers funeral was over. Well she be able to forgive him for leaving and maybe work together to bring the farms into the future?

I couldn’t wait to read this book! I read the prequel “Night Hawke” and it definitely left me hanging to read this book. When Jack (Giacomina) and her daughter Vivi are ripped out of their home due to a threat, they end up at Jack’s dad’s best friend’s business in the heart of New Orleans. When he walked into the room, Jack didn’t even have to turn around to know he just walked into the office. Nolan (Isaac) was now face to face with the woman who stole his heart and broke it all in one weekend five years ago back in Chicago! These two have so much chemistry. It was a page-turner that I could not put down!

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to read a mystery novel about small town cold cases. This story does not disappoint. It shows the true effect that something like murder can do to a small town. It affects everyone. The hard part is knowing who to trust.. Even after a surgery and years of trauma these women don’t let that stop them from putting an end to the bad guy.
The author also does an amazing job with story and world building. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

A beautiful collection of three stories that take readers on a whimsical journey. Coyote Jim and Raven are shapeshifters whose characters are laced with so much depth. Their stories take you on a spiritual journey as they come to life on the pages. Though this collection has three separate stories, they flow together wonderfully, creating a great read. Even if this isn’t your usual preference for stories, I promise you will connect with the book and find something to take away from the thought-provoking pages.

Master Calabrea (Masters of the Consulate Book 6) by Sylvia Black 4 Stars
This is book six in this series. I would suggest reading from the beginning to understand why things are happening. The hunt for Isala continues. This time Master Calabrea is leading the team because it is in his territory. What he didn’t expect was to be saddled with Tansia. She is a fiery redhead who has definitely caught his attention. Outspoken and vivacious, Tansia thought she would be coming to Italy to start a job and get her life back on track. Never in a million years did she expect to be chasing a wayward and very dangerous vampire. Fate has a hand in all things and this was meant to be. A fire ignites between the two. Can a relationship work between a human and a vampire? Will they even survive to try?
There were some editing issues and spelling mistakes but all in all this is a good story. It’s another exciting addition to this series.
