I’m still fanning myself. This story is hot. I’m melting with envy right now. This is my type of story. We have a boss chick that knows what she wants and goes for it. But she gets something she didn’t know she wanted. I really enjoyed Rylie’s character. She was serious but could let loose when the time came. She gave everything her all and wasn’t afraid to say what she meant. The best part of this story had to be seeing Mason with his son. The bond they shared was truly beautiful. I love the instinct werewolves have that says she is the one. No doubt in their mind. To know off the jump that there is someone specially made just for you. Archer is the cutest kid and lord he is a smart one. The author really pulled me into this story. I felt like I was living life with the characters. I love a story that takes me away and puts me into some else’s world.

We all love a good story about a forever bachelor. A man so set in his ways that he believes nothing will change his mind. So sure that the same game will work with every female. What Zane doesn’t see coming is a single mom with many quirks. I like Shannon. Her character has to be one of my favorites. She isn’t into herself, she talks out loud and she is a worry wart. I felt like I bonded with her character more than any other books female lead. Not only as a mom but as a woman who doesn’t date. Who spends her time working and raising children. I liked the friendship that grew between them before the tension. It’s a great foundation for a relationship. To build your trust from learning about each other. I want to meet my boo by chance. To just talk to him without knowing this could be my forever. I love stories like this. The author made it fun and funny. Shannon ‘s quirky personality mixed with Zane’s brackish charm was a mixing pot for a great story.

The Flame and The Blade (Flame and Blade Series) by Meredith Hart was an excellent fast paced, romantic adventure. I could not put this book down. I loved Vethe and Lyria. They both were strong characters who could hold their own in a fight. The ending of this novel definitely came to fast for me. Fighting demons and traveling through rough terrain these two developed a love for each other. It was amazing and the ending was wow. I can’t wait to read the next book!

The Flame and The Blade was so good, I couldn’t put it down! If you love fantasy romance novels, this one’s for you! I didn’t expect to laugh as much as I did while reading this book but I did. I was so enthralled, I couldn’t put it down. Demons, mages and elemental magic makes this novel a super fun read. I got frustrated at the end though, cause I needed more details. I guess that just means I’m going to have to read the next installment!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander was definitely a steamy read. I have read a few other books by Phoebe Alexander and I love her take on female characters. There is a whole unashamed aspect to Dr. Sarah Lynde, it is very refreshing. She is a strong independent woman with two kids and she knows what she wants. In regards to the pacing and story I felt like I got a behind the scenes peek into Sarah’s life and while at times it did not move at the pace I wanted it really felt like an authentic conversation with a close friend.

A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book Three) by KG Fletcher – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is not a new author for me. I read books 1 and 2 and absolutely adore the way KG Fletcher writes. I get pulled in with every single book, and am on the edge of my seat for every word. I wasn’t very excited for the main character of this book but only ONLY because I’ve read the first book ( I do recommend reading them in order, though it’s not an absolute necessity). I did find myself rooting for Chris and Fiona even though I started out the book with reservations on Fiona. I again, as I have with the other two books, found myself experiencing ALL the feels. KG Fletcher is an amazing author who gets you to love every character, no matter their flaws. Don’t miss out on these amazing stories!

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy is the sixth book in The Carolina Connections by Sylvie Stewart. This series keeps getting better and better. I think this is my new favorite by Sylvie . Ari and Jax are great relatable main characters, but Lola really makes the story come together. The dialog is witty, and the chemistry is sizzling. Reading this story was a truly enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Call of the Alpha by Brooke May is the second book in the Powder River Pack series. The only way to describe this book is simply amazing. I enjoyed the first book in the series so knew this one should be good. However I never expected it to blow all expectations out of the water.
Rylie and Mason have become two of my favourites characters ever. The force of their connection was palpable! There wasn’t a second I was reading about them where I couldn’t feel it!
I have read a few books by this author now and hands down this is my favourite one so far – I honestly don’t know how she will ever manage to top this although I will definitely be willing to read more of her work to see if she can. I would highly recommend this book!!

Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May is a great addition to the paranormal romance series. With werewolves and love, action and bitterness, heartache and pain, passion and more. I really enjoyed this story and love the characters that Brooke has given us. They are well developed and interesting and worm their way into your heart. There are also times where you find yourself laughing out loud.
Rylie is about to start her new job and can’t wait. Convinced by her bestie to celebrate they find themselves meeting much more than they bargained for.
Mason has one thing in his life he loves more than anything and is content with life. One night at work he finds the one thing that will make his life complete, but will she accept is true self and his son?
If you love paranormal romances then you will need to grab a copy and enjoy.

Call of the Alpha (The Powder River Pack #2)Call of the Alpha by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve read books by Brooke May before, this being the second one I have read from the Powder River Pack Series. I was once again completely captivated and hooked by this author’s amazing read!

I love a good supernatural romance read, especially when it involves Werewolves. This author most definitely has a way with words she has once again created an amazing read with a brilliant storyline and some incredible characters.

Rylie & Mason have a quick deep meaningful connection that develops straight away. But everything about it is real! It’s a connection that anyone would wish for. Throughout the whole read, I was rooting for these two to get a HEA and hoped that nothing would get in their way they were just perfect for each other.
I loved getting introduced to new characters and revisiting old one but my favourite has got to be Archer, he pulled at my heart the whole way through this read! I loved that this read was written in dual POV’s it really gives us a better insight into the characters thoughts and feelings and makes me love them even more!

I cannot wait for book 3, I can’t wait to see who’s story we following next, I’ll eagerly be waiting for more from this series and this amazing author!

Call of the Alpha (The Powder River Pack #2)Call of the Alpha by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is impressive! It surpasses the first book by a lot. The author has made interesting and relatable characters. The story moves along and easily kept my interest. I loved it! I loved Rylie’s job and the element of danger it brings, the protectiveness and sneakiness of Mason as well as the playfulness of the story.

The connection between Mason
and Rylie was *felt* and at times coming off the pages at me. Well done! Even the relationship between Archer and Mason was great to watch/read them together. I could really feel the vibe they were putting out!

All the characters were wonderful. The pack together at the bar was fun. The bond between brothers(Mason and Miles)or Carter and Rylie was great. The teasing and being there for each other was perfect. Archer at times seemed a bit old for his age but I guess he is future alpha so maybe that’s expected.

This is the second book in this series. I really enjoyed this one and could hardly put it down. I am glad I gave it a shot. This can be read as a stand alone. I look forward to more from this author and from this pack.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Sun So Bright by K.G. Fletcher is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. The great thing is this can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I was drawn in by the cover and had not read the synopsis so when I started reading I was unpleasantly surprised to meet the character, Fiona. I really wanted to dislike this character because of her being rich and snapping her fingers to get what she wants. Let me explain, don’t give up because she proved me wrong. She is a good character who is deeper than I expected so she surprised me. I wanted to see where this arrangement with Chris would lead and hoped for a happy ending. Overall, I enjoyed this book and want to go back and catch some of the others in the series.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Karyn Taylor

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1)Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mountains Wanted is the first book in what looks like being yet another awesome series by Phoebe Alexander. Phoebe Alexander is now an author that I jump at the chance of reading. I have previously read the Eastern Shores Swingers Series and the Spicetopia Series and both series are among my favourites. Having now read Mountains Wanted I can predict that this series will no doubt be among my favourites.
Dr Sarah Lynde is a sociology professor, mother of 2, who loves sex. Not just sex with one person, she is polyamorous. So she’s quite happy when gorgeous Sergeant James McAllister comes into her life and into her bed. He could be deployed at any time so let’s just have fun while we can. Well, both of them thought that, until they spent more and more time together and their feelings grew deeper.
This has to be the most angsty book that I have ever read from Phoebe Alexander. Sarah is so conflicted over her growing feeling for James and constantly pushes him away. There were so many occasions that I really wanted to bang their heads together, or scream at the author, to get those 2 to see what was in front of them. Although Sarah was also having a relationship with Pawel, you could just tell that James meant so much more to her.
This new series is in 8 parts and books 1-3 give us James and Sarah’s story so I knew that their story was not going to be complete by the end of this book but I was still not prepared for it to end (silly, I know). Thankfully I already have the 2nd book in my kindle waiting for me, so I can read more of Sarah and James’ story. I really can’t wait to see what Phoebe Alexander has in store for these 2.

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan – Review by Liz Vrchota

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set (Jake Wolfe #1-3)Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have followed and loved Mark Nolan’s thrillers with suspenseful twists in the past so I was super excited when I saw the first three books in a gripping new series was to set to release soon. I scooped it up and fell in love with the adventure and drama that is never in a shortage with these novels.

Book #1: Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie:
This novel kicks off a new Jake Wolfe series from Mark Nolan. I loved how this book literally hits you in the face with action from the very beginning and keeps you on the edge of your seat until that very last chapter. I felt like I got so much with this novel and I am super excited that there will be more to come in the series with these characters.

This starts off with Jake Wolfe, a military vet who is working as a photojournalist in the prime of his days. At the moment he is following a hot lead on a story that will thrust him into the life of a high ranking lawyer. His goal is to simply dig up some details for his story and instead witnesses the lawyers murder! From there the ride is wild and full of twists and turns that are completely unpredictable. I can’t wait to get my hands on book two!

Book #2: Vigilante Assassin:

This was such a jam packed and gripping read. Continuing the tales of Jake Wolfe in book two Vigilante Assassin, we find Jake hired to protect a mother whose husband goes missing, Lauren Stephens. Turns out the secrets her husband was hiding were a lot more volatile than she could have ever imagined and the lives of her and her children become greatly endangered. Things take turns that you won’t be able to predict and you will find yourself so immersed that the ending is before you know it and well past the bedtime you had hoped for. I can’t wait to see what will come about for Jake Wolfe in the next installment!

Book #3: Killer Lawyer:

Yes! This book was everything I had hoped it would be and then some! In Killer Lawyer we find the continuing story of Jake Wolfe and more of his dog Cody. Jake now has his law degree and is living his best life on a yacht. A case that will bring him into the direct path of a psycho serial killer that is ravaging the streets of San Francisco, takes you on a wild ride from the very beginning until the last page. I couldn’t figure this one out and I love when a book can do that for me! I sincerely can’t wait to read what will happen next!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Call of the Alpha is the second book in the Powder River Pack series by Brooke May. Brooke May’s attention to detail draws me in from the very first page. Her characters are amazingly close to real that I would want to belong to the pack. This story is about Mason and Rylie. Their story has lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, and a bond that makes a regular relationship boring. Rylie is moving back to her hometown. She comes back career focused biologist. Somehow that changes when she meets Mason for the first time. Mason is the pack leader and once he finds someone he wants a mate he goes and gets them. Will there be a relationship between Rylie and Mason? Will there be trouble for Mason and Rylie? You will have to read the story to see for yourself.

This book is part of an amazing series but can be read as a standalone. I love all the characters but favored the mains Mason, Rylie, and precious Archer. They were realistic, relatable, and developed well. The story had excellent flow and was organized. I loved Mason’s personality as well as Rylie’s. I loved that she was a tomboy and also how much she loved being outdoors. This was an amazing novel and I highly recommend it!

Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series #2)
By Phoebe Alexander
5 out of 5 stars

The story Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series #2) by Phoebe Alexander is the next amazing book in the continuing story of Lt. James McAllister and Dr. Sarah Lynde. It is a story that I couldn’t wait to read and found myself lost in the story once I started. Sarah is a woman who is moving on. She has found a new man in her life. That doesn’t stop her from thinking about James. Is Garrett Stone the distraction that Sarah needs? James is far from home and can’t seem to get Sarah out of his mind. As time moves forward why does it seem as if he can’t get seeing her once he is home out of his head? What does the future hold for Sarah and James? Will they both find a way to move on and label themselves as friends or will their feelings for each other be too hard to ignore? Read this book to find out. I love Sarah as she is a woman who is open about who she is and her belief system. She is strong, independent, and stubborn. She wants the same openness from a partner. As time moves on will James and Sarah find out that there are no more mountains that they will climb together? This book will have your emotions going up and down the entire time reading. I know mine was. I found myself wanting Sarah and James to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that appear in the story. Many of them are from the first book and I enjoyed reading about them as they interact with James and Sarah. Don’t miss out on the next story in an amazing series that you won’t want to put down until you have finished the final page. Highly recommended.

I loved reading this book. Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May is a story that will pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. I love reading about werewolves and this book had me reading far into the night to finish. I love the characters of Rylie Press and Mason Fischer. Rylie is a woman who is intelligent, independent, and strong. She is a biologist who loves the outdoors. If only she could understand the feelings that she has when around Mason. Mason is alpha of the Powder River Pack. He is also a single dad. He knows that Rylie is his fate when he sees her in his bar. There is out of this world chemistry between Rylie and Mason. What will happen if she finds out all of Mason’s secrets? Will she be accepting and understanding about his kind? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. The heat between Rylie and Mason is off the charts. I grew to care about what happens to Rylie and Mason with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. There are other characters that I enjoyed reading about who are family and friends of Mason and Rylie. There are moments that are touching and others that will have you wondering what is going to happen next. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

5 +++++ Stars

Loved this so so much!! I think the only thing I’m upset about is I don’t know who is getting the next book and it’s driving me crazy LOL

I love this series, I love how this author can make you believe these could be predictable kind of stories (which I love also) but then actually has you believing that there’s no way to fix the hurdles between these characters and there will be no happily ever after. I love that things happen in these stories that feel so real. I was actually feeling the anxiety that Shannon was feeling at the start of this book, being in a strange city, knowing no one and needing help would have broken me. Not sure I would have had the guts to make the phone call she made, but so thankful she did because it was the start of one of the best stories, I cracked up during the kitchen scene at the beginning..That would have so been me!

I loved Shannon’s family dynamic, it made me smile and LOL more than once and it was so awesome to check back in with Jake and Kimberly. I can not pick a favorite of the two books so far..I enjoyed both of them equally and can’t wait for more. I love how smoothly these books flow and before I knew it I was done, left wanting so much more. I can definitely see myself reading these again.

Read them both, you won’t be sorry!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Sun So Bright is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. This is the first book I’ve read in this series and I had no trouble following the story.

This is a reverse millionaire arrangement/fake relationship type of tale. Most of the time you see men in the wealthy position, but this time it’s Fiona. She’s a character you love to hate, at first. Thankfully, Chris (who is freaking hot) can look past appearances. As you follow their journey, you’re going to be taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You’ll probably want the tissues close by, lol.

Definitely worth the read. (Just not in public if you don’t want to have to explain why you’re crying, lol).

Every time I read a book by K.G Fletcher, my emotions go through the wringer. This author has a special talent of drawing you into her stories and getting you personally attached to her characters. This book was amazing! It didn’t matter that it was book three in the Reigning Hearts series. It can be read as a stand-alone because I never got lost. I adored Chris Ballard and even though I wasn’t impressed with Fiona, she quickly grew on me. I was right there with them through their ups and downs. I was crying my heart out and emotionally exhausted by the end. I’ve never been disappointed after reading a book by Ms. Fletcher. I definitely have to read the first two books in this series.

THE RUNAROUND: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy (CAROLINA CONNECTIONS BOOK 6) By SYLVIE STEWART – Review by Carrie Reed

The Runaround (Carolina Connections #6)The Runaround by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Runaround by Sylvie Stewart – 5 stars!

Such a sweet, sexy, and drama filled story! I really enjoyed reading the drama that came along with Jax, his new found daughter Lola and his ex Darcy. I was nervous that Darcy was going to be and even bigger witch than she already was, and I was disappointed I didn’t get to see a real resolution to the character of Mitch. It seems like Jax and Arianna do this dance with each other around their feelings and level of attraction to each other until finally it happens. Then some hearts break, and I can fully understand why, but communication is always the best policy! The secondary characters that make up a part of the group Ari and Jax hang out with, were fun to read about and brought some comedy into the mix. I would definitely recommend giving this book a read!

The Sister Pact: Home is Where The Heart is by Jacquie Biggar is a wonderfully written story about family and there’s some romance. I loved this book and couldn’t stop reading till I finished. I literally read in a afternoon. This is the story about Holly and Levi. Holly’s music career has been affected by her diagnosis of a life threatening illness. So she goes home hoping to make amends . Levi is Steve’s brother and him and Holly definitely have a attraction between them and the chemistry is undeniable. What does their future look like? Can Holly make the amends she’s needing to make? My emotions were all over the place throughout this story.i highly recommend reading this Book and I can’t wait to read more from this Author
