I really enjoyed this book, and while it is the 2nd in the series, it reads as a standalone.
These stories are so fun and I love how the author has her own spin on cupids and I really enjoy seeing how these stories play out, especially with the strong willed man fighting it every step of the way. I cannot wait for more!

Faida (Heartstrings #2) by Brooke May
This is the second book of May’s that I’ve read. Fadia is part of the Heartstrings Series, but they are standalones. May can write and she knows how to do it well.
Fadia is a Cupid and helps Cupid with his work. Akio is her sister and she isn’t sure why there is a celebration when Akio matched a couple. A new job makes her see how things are. The quote I chose for Fadia is: “Hi, I’m Faida. Like Alice said, I’m her new nanny. I’m new to town actually.”
Robert is a single dad and cold hearted. He doesn’t let his guard down unless it’s to his daughter. He does want a relationship, but doesn’t know how. The quote I chose for Robert is: “Faida, I can’t deal with this right now. My VP is coming and I have a meeting to prepare for. Just … leave.”
Mika works for Robert and has been a good friend of his since his divorce. She likes working with him and she does like him. The quote I chose for Mika is: “I’ve never wanted to go anywhere. I’m happy with where I’m at and what I do. Robert is a great boss and I get raises when it is fair. I don’t get bored and Robert values my opinion. I worked for one other man before him and that man treated me horribly. Robert is nothing like the icy man most think he is.”
Highly recommended for Paranormal Romance lovers.
Isle of Wings: A Silverglen Companion Novel by E.A. Burnett

The author continues the Silverglen adventure in another epic fantasy tome. The world building was substantial and I really enjoyed getting to know Roana and Iniko through this storyline. The scale to which this story transcends is one I believe that will appeal to readers of most genres, even if fantasy might not be a reader’s first pick. Beautiful detail, complete character development, good pacing, just extremely well written. Loved every page and hope to continue reading more from this author and of this series.

Hell Hath No Fury is the second book in the Life Is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. I am excited every time I see a new book by Naomi Valkyrie. I know that it will be a great book and this book is not disappointing. The plotline has grabbed me from the first page until the last word. The fantasy, magic, demons, mystery, and secrets are what kept me interested. The characters are fully developed and make the story real. This is about Sheridan and Millicent’s story. I found the relationship between them fun and exciting. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens between Sheridan and Millicent. You will not be sorry.

A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon (book four in the Daydreams & Dragonflies series) by Tamara Ferguson was a great read! It was super sweet, and I read it so fast once I started it. I so easily got swept up in the pages of Mia and Noah’s whirlwind summer romance. This book could be easily read as a standalone novel, but it does help with the recurring characters to read the first ones first. I can’t wait to read those, because I’ve only gotten a chance to read the third and fourth installments in this series so far. Tamara Ferguson never seems to disappoint!

Faida is book 2 in the heartstrings series. The books have much of the same characters in them but do not have to be read in order. Faida is one of Cupid’s angels sent out to find love for people. Faida’s newest quest is not that easy. Robert’s heart is closed off to all except Alice, his sweet young daughter.
Faida had her own heart made of ice so she has ways to get through to Robert and help him find a suitable match. This was a quick read for me but doesn’t mean I liked it any less. Another great book by this author with a easy to follow story and I look forward to more by this author.

Another book by Brooke May that pulled at my heartstrings. It’s been a while since a paranormal romance series has kept my attention but this sweet and funny romance is doing the trick. Faida is a cupid that seems to always get the troublemakers and Robert is a single father to an adorable daughter. Faida and Robert both have icy hearts and it was enjoyable to watch them chip away at them. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a sweet, fun, and original book. This is the second book in this series and can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read the first one for the best experience and because it’s a great book. We met Faida in the first book and in this one we get to know more about her. Faida is trying to help Robert get past his icy heart and open it up for love again. I also really liked Alice, her character was cute and at the same time she was wise beyond her years. I read this story in one sitting because I didn’t want to put it down. I truly enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book.

Hell Hath No Fury (Life Is Hell Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie. This is the 2nd book in this fun series. It can be read as a standalone but I always like to read the books in order to not miss a detail. This picks back up in Juniper Lake and its about Millicent and Sheridan. The only problem being is Sheridan is a hedonistic demon Millicent is human so Sheridan is trying not to let her attraction get to her. When Millicent becomes in danger Sheridan thinks its because of her so she feels like she has to do anything she can to protect her. Sheridan figures this is just her luck that once she finds someone she wants to give her heart to she is going to screw it up by getting Millicent killed or hurt. This book is so fast paced so be sure and buckle up cause it will take you for a great ride!

Faida (Heartstrings Book 2) by Brooke May. This is the second book in this series and it’s just as good as the first. In the first book we are introduced to Faida who is one of six beings that helps Cupid to mortals and their love life. Faida has had her heart broken so many times and been let down so many times that she no longer believes in the love she helps Cupid find for people. When she meets Ice King Robert Peters who has also been let down multiple times in love, Faida has met her match. When she tries to help Robert find love she is going to have to change her way of thinking to make it work. Robert has made it very clear he only loves one person and that is his daughter and nothing will change his mind. When Faida tells him he’s stuck with her until he finds love he’s not super excited. This story will make you laugh out loud and root for the underdog. Read Faida to find out if Robert finds true love.

This is the second book in Life is Hell series written by Naomi Valkyrie and I enjoyed it… The book was a little slow at first not as fast paced as the first book in this series. I really enjoyed the characters and the way they played off each other and their little quirks.
We met Sheridan and Millicent in the first book of this series and there was an instant attraction but Sheridan fought her attraction to Millicent because Millicent does not know about paranormal stuff and with Sheridan being hedonism demon and all.
Now Millicent is in danger and Sheridan thinks its because of her. Sheridan instincts is to protect her – but she might also be the reason Millicent is in danger. It figures she finally find someone to give her heart to, but chances are she will just end up breaking hers – or get her killed….
Who is after Millicent? Is it really because of Sheridan or something else? Can Sheridan save Millicent? Will they have a happily ever after or will someone die?
Great read cannot wait until next book in series….

Evil’s Whisper is the first book in Jordan Elizabeth’s exciting Evil Saga. Set in a fantasy desert world, it mingles prophecy with the uncertainty of a violent and deceitful world.
A particular theme I found interesting in this book is that of conflicting beliefs. Characters from different parts of Elizabeth’s vibrant world believe they are protected by different deities. For some, the coming of the Daughter of Darkness is a source of great hope. Others fear what they believe she will do and seek to stop her at any cost. As they meet each other, characters begin to question what they have taken for granted for so long.
It’s a bit of a complicated story, with a lot of characters to keep track of and a narrative that jumps between different interwoven strands of the tale. This book requires a fair bit of attention to follow, but rewards readers with surprises, tension and mysteries.
This is another one for my list of “Books published in late 2020 that feature a deadly illness”. Which is not necessarily a bad thing – it can be interesting to see some of the what-ifs explored in a fantasy setting (and this book certainly has an interesting approach!). But it is something to be aware of if you’re hoping for a read that will let you forget about COVID for a while.
We’re left with a bit of a cliff-hanger – some strands of the story are resolved but there is plenty left for the sequel. I can’t wait to read it!
For me, this is a five-star book. I would recommend it to fantasy fans looking to lose themselves in a new world, particularly those who enjoy stories with interesting politics and power dynamics at play.
Flipping the Bird by Carrie Pulkinen

Alice is a shape shifter a crow at that I wasn’t sure how this shifting dynamic would work. This is a super story with alot alot going for it Paranormal romance, mystic creatures, Mystery, drama and so much more. It has many funny laughes. Donavan a warlock or is he moving to Shift Creek to gain something he has lost.
Cannot wait for the second book.

Faida be Brooke May is the second book in the Heartstrings series. This is a great continuation of her series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Although I found this was a pretty quick book to read I was fully drawn into the story from the start. I really enjoyed the characters and the connection between them. They both seemed so jaded at first and I loved how you saw them develop as the story went on.
The book itself was a great story. The authors has created a sweet but fun story that you will find hard to put down once you start reading. It was wasn’t to read this book in one sitting, although I wish I could have made myself draw it out a little longer. Brooke May has done a brilliant job with this book and I would definitely recommend it.

The second in the ‘Heartstrings’ series introduces us to Faida, one of the six beings who help Cupid guide us mortals to love. Faida has grown jaded after eons of helping humans find love and as a result now has an ice cold heart. “Assassinations, infidelity, and betrayals of her past haunt her present”. However, Faida meets her match in ice king Robert Peters who has also been disappointed in love. Robert is cold and ruthless with everyone except his young daughter. Faida needs to soften her own heart towards love if she is to help Robert find love. This is an engaging and enjoyable sweet paranormal romance and the author really brings the characters and setting to life with her descriptive narrative. It’s a lighthearted and heartwarming romantic story which had me fully immersed in the story from start to finish. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone story but some of the characters do overlap. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Faida is the 2nd book in the Heartstrings Series by Brooke May. It is a funny but sweet paranormal romance. It can be read as a standalone but I’d recommend also reading Aiko, which is the first book in the series.
Faida is a cupid. Cupid himself has too much work for just one person so had a small group of women who carry out much of his work for him. Having become demoralised about love, Faida is struggling with her role as a cupid. If she doesn’t have much belief in love herself, then how can she instil it in others. This is not helped when she’s given a tricky assignment to complete.
Robert Peters only loves one person and that is his adorable daughter Alice. He has absolutely no wish to become involved in any romantic relationship so he’s less that impressed when Faida announces that he’s stuck with her until he falls in love.
This is a funny and charming read. I particularly found the early interactions between Faida and Robert very amusing as both are exasperated with the other.
This is a short book which I devoured in a couple of hours but the author manages to pack a lot of content in and keeps the reader engaged throughout.

Mia and Noah are very well developed characters. This story is one of young love and its challenges when they have to face the future and what life will throw their way.
I have loved every book I have ever read by Tamara Ferguson. She is definately a one click choice for me.

A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon is the fourth book in the Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock ‘N Sweet Romance Series by Tamara Ferguson. Tamara has another wonderful book on her hands. She is one of my go to authors, and I have enjoyed this book. This book featured Mia and Noah who meet in high school, but are torn apart by misconceptions. After six years apart, will they be able to get passed the hurt feelings. This book flowed smoothly, the characters are amazingly real and down to earth. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

There’s nothing like experiencing your first love and sharing that first kiss. This story was sweet and magical. I really enjoy Tamara’s stories. Each one is beautifully written. The unique settings and attention to detail is immaculate. In this story we have Mia and Noah. Sharing a journey of love and music. I really enjoyed how we watched they grow into themselves and learn to fight for their love. The author had the timing and place down to a science. That all consuming love is a beautiful and scary thing. I really enjoyed this story. I don’t believe I’ve ever been disappointed while reading any of this authors work. I also liked how raw the author made the characters. There was no holding back and I was here for it

A romance story about one of Cupid’s helpers. Like her Cupid helper sisters, Faida has been given a new assignment to help to someone find love again. The thing is, Faida has been helping humans find love for centuries and like many of us, she gets thinking about the relationships that didn’t work out. Will this one work or is it going to be another bust? At one point the assignment has her wondering what she’s missed and how much more can she do? The story is fun, at some points it has trouble, but overall it’s a great one. I hope you love it as much as I did.

This is a Christmas romance story. I am never displeased with any book by Tamara Ferguson that I have read. This story is included. The plotline is a simple love story but it is the characters that made this story special. The characters are fully developed and have captured my heart as well. This book is about Mia and Noah. Mia has a controlling father who sabotages Mia’s life. He was very controlling. Noah falls for Mia at a music camp. He writes her a song and sings it to her. She loves Noah but the forces that pull them apart. Now the time has passed and Mia and Noah have a chance at love again. Will Mia and Noah become a couple again? Or will it be another blue Christmas? I highly recommend this story to see if there is some Christmas magic left for Mia and Noah.

Fighting for Us is the first book in Bella Emy’s Love is Worth Fighting For series. It is also the first book I have read by her, but it won’t be the last. I am already looking forward to the next book in the series. I was hooked by this book from chapter 1. A friend told me how she was crying by the end of the first chapter, so I knew I had to check it out. I am so glad I did! There is something about Emy’s writing style that hooked me right from be beginning. The characters are wonderful and so relatable. The close relationships each lead has with their siblings and best friend was great. Not only did it build a well rounded story, it sets up for possible spin off stories. I know book 2 is going to be Ryker’s, but I hope Mari gets a story as well! I cant wait to see what happens there… But back to lead characters Lorenzo and Carissa- they both have been hurt in the past and are afraid to love again. But whether fate or just living in a small town- they keep running into each other and have an instant attraction. Both have been off the market for a while, and dealing with hurt, but for very different reasons. I love that Lorenzo is an ex Navy SEAL and MMA heavy weight champion, but also is a very sensitive male. I love that Emy showed real feelings and insecurities for both he and Carissa. It made me fall in love with him even more. Highly recommend this book, and look forward to reading more

I thought this book was a great second chance holiday romance. It was easy to connect with the characters and get behind their story. You want them to find a way to make things work, despite what happened in their past.
When it comes to this author I know that I will enjoy whatever book it is I am reading, this one being no exception. It is as well written and engaging as others I have read by her and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I would definitely recommend this author to anyone.

This is the 2nd book in the series. I’d highly recommend reading the first book before this one. The author has done a great attention to detail. Uqnitum has delt with alot of challanges in her life and is trying to find santracy. There is a great balance between history action and drama. A amazing read.
This is the frist book in the Gray Ghost series. Alex and Liv are married couple. This book is full of romance and suspene. Olivia is a very sweet and naivie character at times. I really enjoyed Olivia growth in this book. I really enjoyed the descriptivess of this book its extremely detailed. Amy excced my expections in this book. Wow that was an unexpected twist. A surprise whisk away and a conversation that wasn’t meant to be heard. I love Liam he’s so attentive. I found was the reader read really fast and I struggled to keep up with her at first. I would of like her to speak a little bit slower.

Another amazing read by Tamara Ferguson! We get to see characters from other series. We get to see the town in different views.
Mia is a junior in high school and is looking to make a career out of music. Teaching music or dance is her preference. She catches the eye of the cool guy the first day of school. When her father destroyed it by blackmail. The quote I chose for Mia is: “That should be easy. With all the stuff that Bree packed for an overnight stay, I’m sure she must have brought something appropriate I can borrow.”
Noah is a senior getting ready to graduate. Heading to the Air Force has always been a dream and now it’s happening. He didn’t think things could get worse, but it does. The quote I chose for Noah is: “You might be right about her being shy. I just happened to hear her singing when I was looking for some music I left in the next classroom one day after school. I peeked inside, and she was sitting by herself playing the piano. She’s not half bad at that either.”
Highly recommended for Clean Romance lovers.

This series is great. Each book reminds me how much I love this author and series. Finders Reapers is yet another win. We met these characters briefly in other books, but now it’s their turn to shine, and they do such a spectacular job. I instantly fell in love with Jasmine, she is quirky and fun with a good heart. Both of them are just misunderstood beings who long for another. The struggle with them is so interesting to watch as it progresses. Not to mention the problem going on within their beloved city. This book has all you would love in a fun package — supernatural beings, fun, action, and romance. I hope this series never ends.
If you are a fan of quirky supernatural romance, this book and series are for you. It can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is so fantastic, you should really read them all.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the fantasy and adventure in this book. The author does an amazing job of building the characters and the world in which they live. It feels like you are actually there experiencing it all with them.
Sabiya lives in a place where women are seen as worthless and not as good as men. Fed up of that way of live she tries to escape only to be captured by outlaws.
Being captured she is almost certain to face death until the brother of another captive rescues them both.
After they rescue her the brothers end up taking Sabiya back to the very place she is trying to escape from.
Will she try to leave again? Will she succeed this time? Her adventure is a gripping story that keeps you turning the pages from beginning to end.

My school life was spent in a girls’ boarding-school specialising in classical ballet and on leaving I danced professionally, touring Europe, for 4 years. After that I ran my own ballet school in Athens, Greece for a number of years and simultaneously volunteered as a veterinary nurse, as my love of animals is the driving force in my life. I returned to England with my horse and my cat, and now live on a smallholding in Shropshire with various farm animals and a constant stream of pets.
I started writing while in Greece and completed a Creative Writing Course with the Writers’ Bureau. The same year, I won an annual competition in the Writing Magazine for an adult Fairy Story.
On my return to England I wrote two children’s books, but my new life, caring for Highland Cattle, sheep, hens and pets, coupled with extensive global travel, meant that writing for publication took a back seat. I continued my love of writing with a daily journal and amusing travel blogs of each trip.
I am now writing full time and THE GRACEFUL GHOST draws on my own experiences in ballet-boarding-school and my early teenage life, including divorced parents and a father who ‘took the dog’.
I am currently working on a 6 book series called TALLY AND THE ANGEL. Tally and her angel’s first adventure takes them to India. In the second book they go to Canada, in North Yukon and the third in Japan. I intend them to have adventures in Greece, Egypt, Peru – anywhere I have been, really.

Many experiences influence Tracey’s writing, and she has been known to undertake unusual endeavors (such as firefighter training and learning to fly a helicopter) just for the sake of the experience. Being an Army-trained combat medic and a “biker chick” for over 30 years has had significant influence in her books, but even “ordinary” events have struck a chord or inspired a character or plot idea.
In 2018 Tracey returned to school to recertify as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and currently works at various sporting and music events when she’s not processing orders for the family business (Leader Motorcycle) or working at a substance abuse counseling center.
Tracey lives in small-town Minnesota with her husband, two kids, and two cats. They are a true “soccer family” (she even worked as a referee for two years). She enjoys downhill skiing and spending time at the family lake place.
