IRRESISTIBLE CHRISTMAS - PETS TO THE RESCUE (Irresistible Romance #6)IRRESISTIBLE CHRISTMAS – PETS TO THE RESCUE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Irresistible Christmas – Pets to the rescue by Tamara Ferguson a woofable four-star read. This has some great stories in it, as do all of the collections that Tamara Ferguson puts together, I really like the way they bring the military to the story and always mange to bring great characters together making you care about them in such few pages. Kinley and Jake will suck you in and when you add puppies as well, well then you just have a winner. Melt my Heart was another one that actually melted my heart. There are many stories that will capture your heart and many that will melt it also.

Faida (Heartstrings Book 2)Faida by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Faida by Brooke May a fantastic five-star read. This is number two in the Heartstrings series and I loved it as much as the first, this one did not make me laugh as much as the first, but it did make me smile so much. I have often wondered if two cold hearts can make one warm one, Faida is not a character you come across often, but she is one that will keep you hooked, Robert left me a little chilly at first, but not for long. This has been a great series and I can’t wait for more.

I really loved this collection of books. They are all uniquely different but they all contain romance and animals and the spirit of Christmas.

One of my favourites is Two Hearts Christmas Rescue by Tamara Ferguson. I love the way the author writes and how you get completely immersed in the story.

Kinley is the Veterinarian at Crystal Rock Animal Shelter. She works there and is also looking to set up a training place for wounded war veterans. She loves her job. Christmas for her has always been a hard time full of grief and sadness but this year she plans for it to be different.

Jake Ryder is an agent sent to Crystal Rock to hunt down a criminal. To help him blend in he gets a job at the animal shelter.
The connection between Jake and Kinley is instant with both feeling the pull.
Can they let go of the pain of the past and open themselves up to love. Will the magic of christmas help them create the romance?

A story of faith, a Christmas miracle, love, and belief. Cancer is a topic that is hard for many of us who have lost a loved one to the illness. This story is about a very sick father who has been told that he will not make it to Christmas. His wife is visited by Santa who basically tells her she has given up hope when she must believe she can help her husband. An inspiring tale so the miracle of Christmas!

Moonlit Mirage (A Cook Islands Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Debi Kircher

Moonlit Mirage (A Cook Islands Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley

5 Stars

I read this book a few months ago and when I saw it on Audio i just had to grab it. I have just recently started listening to audio books and going back and grabbing them from some of my favorite authors has made me look forward to so many more.

So after reading Covert Threat and the little snippet at the end about finding out what Hannah was up to I had to grab this book. This is kind of a part of The Gray Ghost series with a few of the characters crossing over, this was a super quick read that was full of all kinds of content, leaving out all the extra info that is normally a part of longer stories, yet still contained everything you expect when reading anything by this author. It jumped right in (lol you’ll understand why that was kinda funny when you read it) and had me on the edge of my seat right from the get go. Completely curious where this newer series will go, not sure if it will still be part of The Gray Ghost or what this author has in mind but I’m completely ready to find out because I love this all taking place in The Cook Islands, I could almost visualize everything that was mentioned in this story.

Loved it!

I just can’t take these stories serious. This one had me cracking up. The puns were intended lol. I really like this series. The author definitely has a gem with this series. So many different directions. I really like Jasmine in this story. She knows who she is and what she can do. The fact that the reaper needed a break had me laughing cause he’s death. The pun it would be the death of him had me hollering. I found this story interesting and engaging. There was a nice break from the same old romance and HAE. I have found a series that just makes me giggle. The author has a great sense of humor and I am here for the ride.

This book was a quick and easy read! I think it it was a longer length you really could connect more with the characters, but that’s hard in a short story. i think that the authors writing style is fun and smooth and I can’t wait to read some of her longer books to get an even better feel:) if you like a short story, with some office romance, and a little heat than you will love this one.

Unbroken Vow by Bree M. Lewandowski

This is the first book I’ve read by Lewandowski. From the beginning to the end I was amazed. The way she wrote this is just amazing.

Ada is the widow of Markus and is now in hiding. Not expecting anything to come of her arrangements. When she finds herself falling for Glaive. The quote I chose for Ada is: “Are you really so strong, Paladin, that rumor of me being yours is enough?”

Glaive isn’t expecting his best friend and brother-in-arms to die. He also isn’t expecting to learn that his friend is married. Being forbidden by the King, Markus asks Glaive to protect Ada. The quote I chose for Glaive is: “What did you hear?”

Highly recommended for Fantasy Romance lovers.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you are looking for feel-good stories about Christmas, relationships, and pets, look no further because this is the anthology for you. I especially liked Two Hearts Christmas Rescue by Tamara Ferguson. This book is about Kinley and Jake. They are in need of some help. There are some pets that need some help too. Kinley and Jake have not been able to celebrate Christmas for a couple of years due to some losses that they have suffered, Jake had a crush on Kinley in high school. He is back from his time in Afghanistan. Will Kinley take a chance with Jake? Can a group of animals bring them together? Will Christmas magic come alive and bring Jake and Kinley together? I highly recommend this book and all the books in this anthology.

A KISS UNDER A BLUE CHRISTMAS MOON (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock ‘N Sweet Romance Book 4) by Tamara Ferguson is a sweet contemporary romance story. With adventure and mystery and fated love. If there is one thing, I know with certainty is that I am never disappointed in any book that I have read by Tamara. When I see her name, I jump at the chance to get my hands on it. I have said it before, but I have yet to read a story I have not fallen in love with and the sexy men and equally strong women. This is another wonderful story in her series of books centred around Wounded Warriors and Crystal Rock, the most magical place when it comes to love.

Hell Hath No Fury (Life is Hell #2)Hell Hath No Fury by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After finishing the first Life Is Hell book from Naomi Valkyrie I have been sitting on the edge of my seat anxiously awaiting this second installment! I was so not disappointed either as she knocked all my expectations out of the park and exceeded them all. This book will make you question what is happening behind the scenes of our world. Valkyrie has the ability to make these made up worlds feel incredibly possible and realistic almost! I was swept up and away into the story of Sheridan. I can promise you that you will wanna dive right in and see what her story will bring you. I can’t bare to ruin any of the gritty and delicious details so for those you will have to read this gem for yourself. I can say this is one bada** woman and her story is so worth finding out. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment. I am positive I will love every moment of that one as well.

I am no stranger to Tamara Ferguson’s romance novels but this one made me so excited. I love the Holiday themed romances she has done in the past and knew I’d adore this one too. In A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon brings us the story of Mia and Noah. These two will remind you what love is all about and their excitement for each other really warmed my heart on the cold winter night I read their story. These two will show you what love and the holiday season is all about while making you feel as if you slipped away to a gorgeous sleepy town in the distant past. The nostalgia felt was real and I look forward to seeing what else is available in the Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock ‘N Sweet Romance series as well.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is book 2 in the reigning hearts series, and I have read book 1. I am all about reading them in order, but you don’t have to in order to enjoy this story. I’m going to be honest with this book. When I read the e-book for Book 1, it was amazing and i couldn’t put it down. I started this book and the first 3 chapters broke my heart. I didn’t finish it. When I saw it was out on Audiobook, I decided to just go for it. The narrator was amazing and did the story such justice. I cried a lot during this book, but also got my happy ending as well. It was a great book and I’m mad I didn’t finish it sooner.

The Last Christmas by Seelie Kay – Review by Kerry Baker

The Last ChristmasThe Last Christmas by Seelie Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Last Christmas Seelie Kay is a heartwarming and emotional story that will complete draw you in from start to finish. I think what I enjoyed the most about this book is that it is so far removed from your typical holiday romance and yet still had that magical feel about it. This time of year can feel a little bit saturated when it comes to the holiday stories and yet this one stood out with ease from all the others I have read.
This is a well written and emotional story about a family trying to find a miracle. The author creates a vivid portrayal of what they must be going through and as the reader you can’t help but become invested in their lives. This is one of those books I think everyone should read and is one I would highly recommend.

The Kissing Bough (Forbidden Loves) by Madelynne Ellis is a great historical romance that takes a walk on a slightly more wild side than most within this genre. It is and interesting story and one I got into really easily. I loved the dynamic between the main characters, it felt natural and full of chemistry.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and it was an overall enjoyable story. There were a few times I wanted it to have a bit more depth to it however I became invested in the characters and wanted to see how things would end up. This was a fairly easy read and one I got through pretty quickly which made it perfect for the holidays. I would definitely say anyone interested in this genre should read this book.

I really enjoyed this paranormal love story. It was gripping and easy to read. The author does such a good job with the characters you can’t help but fall in love with them.

Alice is a crow shifter. She has spent all her life in Shift Creek where the river in the town has healing powers for shifters. However all that changes and the river starts to lose its power. Alice is in a race against time to find a solution.

What she doesn’t expect is to find a solution and also the love of her life.

Donovan’s ancestors are the ones who put the blessing on the river. So when he arrives and Alice finds out who he is she thinks all her problems are solved. What she doesn’t realise is that Donovan has no warlock powers so can’t do the spell.

Will they figure out a way to save the town and river? Can their love be strong enough to save the day? What sacrifices will they need to make to do it?

The Last Christmas by Seelie Kay

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Kay is a great author and to see a short story have so much meaning is amazing. This story goes along with the Holidays.

Joan is mourning the loss of her husband even with him not dead. She isn’t sure he’ll live, but when Santa visits her things change. The quote I chose for Joan is: “I do love him. He knows that. I have been with him every step of the way.”

David is dying and he isn’t quite ready to go. When his old friend Santa jumps in to help him out. Santa gets his wife to see what is really going on. The quote I chose for David is: “Oh, for crying out loud. Would you stop all babbling, you monkeys. I need to talk to your mother. Pipe down. We don’t have a minute to waste.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Romance lovers.

Short, sweet and to the point, I like it! I really enjoyed this story, the characters were easy to fall in love with and relate to. I didn’t like Lach from the beginning, he seemed like such a douche, and the way he kept bringing up being there for Fiona when her mother passed made me think he looked at that as the reason why Fiona should be with him over Connor. Connor is heartbroken that he has to leave Fiona to follow his mom, but he was young and really didn’t have a choice. I can understand Fiona went through a hard time and the only person she had with her was Lach but, it was kind of annoying that she held that over Connor for most of the story. She knew what he was dealing with in his life, knowing how he was treated by his father growing up but, that made the story more interesting. I can’t wait to see what comes next with this author.

Yes! I loved everything about this book. The only thing I didn’t like was that it ended! I really wanted to see more of Percy, William and Viola’s new life together! Period romance books are among my top favorites, this one did not disappoint me. I really loathed Viola’s family for the way they treated her and the thoughts they had towards her all because of a misunderstanding, something that didn’t happen as everyone thought they saw. I was so happy that Viola could find her happy, her love with Percy and William, it didn’t hurt that there was a little M/M thrown in as well. I very much look forward to reading more from this author.

Great holiday read, also very uplifting and hopeful. I really enjoyed the little bit of Christmas magic thrown in with the ultimate healer being God. It was sweet how Santa was playing an angel as to help this family through some hard times. Without giving anything away, there were plenty of sweet spots, scandalous moments, funny comments and hope throughout the family. With Joan and her 3 kids gathering together to fight for David’s survival and to beat his cancer is inspiring. A nice short and sweet story, it really gets you thinking and contemplating your own life.

This book is unique in its genre. It is a fantasy romance, but has old-world elements as well as modern ones, which makes it interesting. The detail is rich and vivid, though it was a little difficult to get into the rhythm of the book in the beginning. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the characters and the pacing of the story as well. Unbroken Vow by Bree M. Lewandowski is a fantasy romance story. It is a short story and it is fast paced. I’m not absolutely sure where the book fits in terms of genre as it had both old world, kings and paladins but futuristic elements. It did take me awhile to get into it but Bree’s descriptive writing style makes it easy to imagine her richly, unique world and its characters.

He is a Paladin sworn to protect his king but also swore to his brother in arms to protect his forbidden wife upon his death. What he didn’t count on was his cold and immovable heart actually feeling. Now the upholder of law becomes the renegade.
