This is the first book in the Orkneyinga Murders series. It also happens to be the first book I’ve read by this author. The book combined two genres that I like to read – historical fiction and a murder mystery! In the beginning it took me a while to figure out the characters and how they got along with the others. The story is so engrossing that I wanted to keep reading as long as possible each night. The characters in the story were well written and I loved the parts where I felt like I was learning more about the Viking way of life.

I have really enjoyed this entire series and this latest installment fits right in perfectly. Once again Dahlia Nite is the perfect heroine for this series. She brings the perfect amount of badass mixed with caring and her love of her human side creates a great story line.
Dahlia has been helping hide the evidence of her half dragon shifter brethren, which is becoming increasingly difficult with all of the strange deaths surfacing. At the same time her relationships are growing despite advice to stay away from human interaction.
This book had so much action, I flew right through it. I recommend this to anyone who has already read the first two books.

This book was just perfect on so many levels. Right from the beginning the characters are relatable, the plot flows and has perfect dimension, and the overall word building is perfect. Full of magic, suspense, angst, family issues and more this story was detail oriented and just simply amazing right from the beginning. While our main character Amy wants nothing more then to figure out her life, what will happen when she finds put she has magic powers? On a road to trying to discover herself will she find out who her father is? Will she be able to live the life she wants with these new powers? You’ll have you read this story to find out for yourself.
Hooked! What a great book and story! The author has an effortless writing style that is engaging and reels you into the story. I really enjoyed Paisley and Caspian’s unique story and the unfolding of their personal stories as the book progressed. From the same roots and with a history that time has changed, Paisley and Caspian literally collide. Each facing their own very different challenges, Caspian helps Paisley realize they can can help each other. Though they entered into a marriage of convenience their steamy attraction can’t be denied…could it ever be anything more? This page-turner left me wanting more from the author and had me picking up the next installment quickly!

You did it again! This author always writes a great story that I can’t wait to read. Slick and Ella go through so many heartbreaking ups and downs throughout this story. This author has a way to get in your head and give the reader the feeling that they are facing the hurdles right along with the characters. The only thing that I just can’t seem to get past is how quickly Slick seemed to fall for Ella and claim her. I almost felt like I was missing a chapter or a stretch of time there somewhere. Nevertheless, I loved the story. Though audiobooks are not my typical go-to, I thought I’d give it a go. The narrators really seem to fit and their varying tones really bring life to the characters. They don’t just drone on, which leads to my losing interest. I’d definitely pick up another audiobook done by these narrators.

What a brilliant start to a new series. I was hooked on this book from the moment I started reading. Aly and Luca were so addictive and captivating. I loved their chemistry, the connection was just so strong. The story seemed to mold itself around them. It has been quite a while since I have read a series with such a strong start. I am looking forward to seeing what is to come next.

If you haven’t already, I would definitely recommend reading the first book, To Be a Fae Queen, to begin with! I loved the first book in this series, so was eager to read this when it came out and find out what happened next to Titania and her friends and family! In this sequel, Titania has to deal with the backlash of the decisions she made in the previous book. This is really effective – too often it seems like heroes face no consequences for the rules they’ve broken to achieve their goals. And, of course, there are new threats in addition to Titania’s social responsibilities as queen. I particularly liked Titania’s cousins. They bring light and joy to the darker moments in the book, as well as helping Titania learn more about herself. They also highlight how much Titania has had to grow up, quickly, as they are not much younger than her but free from the authority and responsibility she has to shoulder. This book gets a solid five stars from me! (Or six, if I’m allowed to give six? Worth a try!). I would recommend it to teen and young adult fantasy fans, as well as adult readers who enjoy fantasy that’s not too grim or heavy. It’s aimed at readers in KS4, but strong readers in KS3 will enjoy it as well.

I’ve recently gotten into mafia books, and this was a great addition to the collection. The book starts out with Luca as a young orphan who runs the streets with his friends, pickpocketing unsuspecting victims. After getting caught in the act by a couple of mafia bosses, one of them takes him in as a son.
As an adult, Luca encounters the teenage daughter of an enemy boss as he’s leaving the scene of a crime, and Aly’s pass on ratting him out to her father forges an unlikely alliance between the two, which grows over time with random encounters.
As Aly grows on the fringe of the mafia, not quite fully under her father’s protection since her mother was his mistress, and never taking money from him to avoid his rule, she’s able to build a successful business. But, when her mother falls ill, she turns to her father to help with her medical care and finds herself sucked into her father’s business.
Things take a turn for the worse when her brother, the heir of the business, is killed, and her father decides it’s time for Aly to step up and marry into another mafia family to forge a stronger alliance. Held captive by her father until the wedding, Luca shows up to rescue her, but neither are sure how much to trust the other.
Luca declares he’ll marry Aly, and she finds herself still trapped, but in a different setting. Things heat up between the two and their bond is tested when Aly’s father gives her poison to kill Luca. Faced with deciding between allegiance to her family or the man who’s somehow always shown up to protect her when there was no one else, Aly must decide her own fate.
A great slow-burn romance with lots of twists and turns!
Really enjoyed getting immersed in this story! Fairy books are my favorite ya book and this definitely did not disappoint. Titania is such a force to be reckoned with. I love how she breaks down the old ways of thinking and proves women can be leaders too. All of the characters were very well written as well as the world they live in. It was just overall a very great book!

I really enjoyed this story. I was pulled into the story from the very beginning. The author does an amazing job of bringing magic and magical beings into the normal world and making them feel realistic. Amy comes across as a typical teenager who’s trying to juggle family, friends and school while also finding her path.
Amy is on the search her real dad. She thinks she has figured out who he is and really needs to talk to him because something strange is happening. Amy has learnt she can’t fly. Amy feels this is something to do with her dad because her mum is normal and shows no magical powers but with her mother keeping the identity of her father secret she has to try and figure it out on her own.
When strange things start happening in her small town she knows there are other magical people in her town but who are they? As Amy trys to continue with life as normal as possible while she tries to work things out she also learns a big lesson. You can’t always trust the people you think you can.
What a terrific Sci-Fi/Adventure story! I went into this story not sure what to expect and the author blew me away. The story of two people that are out for nature hike and end up somewhere they never dreamed of. The descriptions of both worlds and the cave were such that it was easy to visualize them as you went along. What an adventure to just take yourself and supplies and go into the unknown. Reading about it is the only way I’d do it. The author gave me a story about it that had me engaged and so into it that I didn’t want to stop reading. The characters were well-written. I could relate to Thomas because I’m from that generation. “I’m with stupid” was our jam. This was a story with a bit of a spine chill yet an exciting thrill. The buoys on the lake made me think of a Stephen King moment. I hope to see more from this. Loved it. Highly recommend it.

The latest in the Moore Family Saga starts with a bang, and hits the ground running. AriMusic’s most controversial artist, Lil Pharaoh, is causing all kinds of problems for Media Director Bella Moore. Despite warnings from her and Miles, he keeps making questionable choices and spending time with unsavory folks. People who don’t mind using force to get what they want. Will they come for Miles and his family if they don’t get what they want? There is a ton of action in this book, which might be the most suspenseful yet of the series. I enjoyed the tension and nuance in Bella’s relationships with Miles and Lil Pharaoh in particular. She doesn’t act according to script, and I appreciated the honesty and struggle she exhibits. Powerplays and rebellions between Lil Pharaoh and Miles cause lots of disturbance and friction. This is a powerful book 5 that you shouldn’t miss.

This was a really interesting and quick read! If you don’t like a lot of visual writing you may want to skip this one though, because it has a lot of visuals! You definitely have to have a vision. This was a different Sci-Fi than I’m used to reading, and I really did enjoy this one. It had more to do with portals and dimensions than being in space. I easily got lost in this one and had a few chuckles throughout reading it. This was a really great read and I highly recommend it.

He spends much of his time perfecting his persona of Ari Moore, and many of the times they spend together are simply him playing for he cameras. She loves him deeply, but she will she ever just get to be with the real Miles, or will she be forever standing alongside camera-ready Ari?
The wedding and infatuation scenes were beautiful and sweeping, but I did find them a bit corny and overdone. Miles and Bella’s need to “claim” each other was more possessive than I like my love stories. However, that’s my personal preference… if you like grand love stories with some steamy scenes, you’ll likely find this one to your liking.

I loved it and couldn’t put it down. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites to read. I was drawn in right from the beginning. Love this series.
We get dual POV, I really loved these two. We get a little back story and start when they are younger and go through the years. At one point Aly meets Luca, her silence earns his protection even though he is the enemy. Then when Aly is 21 things take a pretty big twist and she finds herself in a position she never thought she would be in. Luca has a plan and that includes Aly, will he be successful?
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn’t get through the book fast enough to see what was coming next. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great mafia series, I highly suggest this one. 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.
The action continues in Book 3, with lots of fast cars, gorgeous women, and lots of money. Miles Moore is a musical sensation, with a growing staff of people all catering to his every need. Even his social calendar is filled by his agent with beautiful women dying to share his bed. That is, until he meets ice queen Bella. He’s oddly drawn to her, even though she is neither fiery or easy. He’ll have to decide if he wants to keep playing the field or stick with the woman that has captured his heart.
I enjoyed seeing a bit more from the Network, the shadowy league of powerful folks who look out for special folks like Miles. I found the character of Miles to be a bit personally insufferable and shallow. Going through women like water, never connecting with any of them besides what pleasure they can offer his body. He is a great performer however, and the story had lots of suspense to keep readers intrigued.

This is a great story where you have a young girl that is trying to find out who her father is while also discovering her magical abilities. Finding out she can fly Amy searches for her father for answers. Along the way she learns secrets that she never thought were possible not only about herself but also the world around her. Amy is a strong willed girl who just wants to understand who she is. Great story and something I would highly recommend others read as well.
Even though this story was quite unlike anything I’ve read recently, I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure that the characters and the reader themselves went on with this book! The author has great attention to detail, the book was incredibly hard for me to put down, and the best part of it all was it was a great way to spend the afternoon, taking less than two hours to read! I felt like I was being transported to another world as I spent the afternoon devouring this novel. I was so sad to reach the end! I thoroughly hope that the story of Thomas and April continues, their friendship was so adorable and I thoroughly enjoyed the constant back and forth between the two of them. Can’t wait to read more by this author!

While this is the fourth installment in this series it is just as incredible as the previous three. This investigative, intriguing, historical crime series has grabbed my attention from the beginning and I simply can’t put them down. This author really knows how to pull her readers in and keep them guessing until the very end. While this book could be read as a stand alone they are all so incredible that I recommend reading all of them so you can get the most from her wonderful characters and beautifully woven plots. Her characters are perfect, her plot Is woven almost like an intricate spider web and she’ll leave you with your head spinning trying to figure out this complex murder mystery. So if your looking for a great book to pick up this weekend, then pick this one up today.

Aly meets Luca when she is 16 years old, and he is already a killer in the Italian Mafia. Romeo and Juliet are referenced and it’s accurate in saying that their two families hate each other, and blood will be spilt. We get to see Aly grow up and make choices that no woman should ever have to make. Family or Love? She’s not the only one that has to make that choice by the time the book is finished. A few twists of fate, bad decisions and some unpredictable moments had me turning pages eagerly to see what comes next.
I have to say that this one might be my favorite out of the series to date. It follows the fast pace of the first two books in the series. While it is the third book in the series, you can easily read it as a standalone. Stefano and Emiliana….The chemistry was hot as hell. I genuinely enjoyed watching their story play out.

But when the Allied Forces are infiltrated by those determined to secure the secret designs of AeroCom’s new prototype flag ship, the Galloway, the newest member of the Devils, Corporal Katrion Alexander, finds herself facing off against an unexpected menace, synthetic operatives indistinguishable from living beings.
