My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. I was pulled into the story from the very beginning. The author does an amazing job of bringing magic and magical beings into the normal world and making them feel realistic. Amy comes across as a typical teenager who’s trying to juggle family, friends and school while also finding her path.

Amy is on the search her real dad. She thinks she has figured out who he is and really needs to talk to him because something strange is happening. Amy has learnt she can’t fly.
Amy feels this is something to do with her dad because her mum is normal and shows no magical powers but with her mother keeping the identity of her father secret she has to try and figure it out on her own.

When strange things start happening in her small town she knows there are other magical people in her town but who are they?
As Amy trys to continue with life as normal as possible while she tries to work things out she also learns a big lesson. You can’t always trust the people you think you can.
