This is the first book in the series and what an amazing start! Since I hadn’t read anything by this author before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleased to be pulled into an adventurous YA fantasy that pulled at my heartstrings. It is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions with characters that you root for and become invested in quite quickly. This book didn’t feel rushed at all, which I fully appreciated as the author took care in creating a magnificent world. Do yourself a favor and get in this book for the weekend!

Miller finally gets his own story and it’s about time. Over the past two books, we’ve learned a little about him but now he gets the spotlight and boy does it start out pretty interesting!
Miller just managed to walk out of the courthouse, elated that he got fined and some community service hours to do. He was fully expecting to find himself in the slammer. Instead, as he’s pulling away, a fluffball of white jumps into his car and demands he start driving away. He now has a runaway bride on his hands! Whatever is he going to do with this beautiful creature that is inhabiting the small confines of his car?
Well, being the ….er….respectable man that he is, Miller takes her where she directs him. He’s enamored by her though and realizes she works fairly close to the bar where he works with his brothers. Needless to say, he is hoping he will see more of her….and he does.
Maisy’s story is pretty interesting as well. She’s running away from a marriage of convenience but moreso convenient for her father and not so much for her. She’s also worried about her little brother Bear and the life that he’s currently living. She finds solace in the Miller’s family home and then finds herself in a dilemma that she’s not sure she can get out of.
This rom-com is a fun little read. The language is a bit strong and I almost put it down but I’m already invested in this family from the previous two books. This book can be read as a standalone but could be more enjoyable by knowing some back story on the other family members. Lynn’s story is next and I look forward to reading more about her, as she’s been a pretty silent character up to this point.

This is the second book in the Blood Prnice series. This book follows on from the first so I highly recommend going back to read the first prior to this one if you havent already.
Once again I had a great time following Leo and co. on their adventures learning the way around their new lives. I was again drawn in by the characters and the world surrounding them, well-written and full of twists to keep you engaged to the end.
I have become emotionally invested in the character’s lives and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the Blood Prince series, a great fantasy read. It daws you in from the beginning and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and the world that thye inhabit.
I enjoyed following Leo and his family on ther journey, routing for their success. The plot was interesting in why they made the choices they did and their hopes for the future.
There were moments the danger had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t get enough and had to know what would happen next. The secrets and twists making this need stronger as I read on.
Enjoyable read and now onti the next in the series!

I was so excited to get my hands on the next book in this series and I think this one has to be my absolutely favourite so far. I was hooked on this story straight away and it didn’t let up the whole way through. The characters were absolutely fantastic, and easily some of the best that I have read about in a while. Each of them drew me in, including the little brother. I thought the book was entertaining, amusing and a completely brilliant story. This author has quietly become one of my favourit go to authors and this book is the perfectly example of why. It was well written, engaging, fun and truly a brilliant book to read. It can be read as a standalone but this is a series that is worth reading from the start. I am so excited to discover more from this author throughout the year and I loved that this is the book I started with.

I had almost forgotten about this series until I saw this book out and knew I had to get it. Martin knows how to write an enticing tale in this genre. I was so excited to jump in. Betrayal of the Gods is the fifth book in the amazing Relic Hunters series. Whether you are a YA or in your sixties like me this adventure story is another exciting tale in this excellent series. This is my favourite in the series to date, but I do tend to think that with the others. Martin gives his readers plenty of thrills, mystery, drama and danger that jumps off the page. Add in some twists and turns in this complex and engaging storyline and you have an action-packed story that has been cleverly woven into a tale that cannot be missed. With historical facts mixed in Martin has created something so engrossing that you will not want to put it down. Adam and Matt are in the fight for their lives this time. It is the brothers against the world and now they don’t know who is friend or foe as they race against time learning myth and legends to find what they are after but with everyone against them things are not as hopeful as they should be. This one will have the blood pumping as you race against hope with them. I can’t wait for more from Martin.

This is book 2 in The Blood Prince Trilogy and wow the story just keeps getting better. I do strongly recommend reading these books in order as if you don’t you will miss major details that you need to be able to understand and follow this book. This is a YA story that is full of action and adventure. There are so many twists and turns in this book that I couldnt put it down until I was finished. The authors world and charcter building was amazing and really brought everything to life. Even though this is a YA story I found it just as enjoyable in my 30s and I am so excited for the next book to see how the story ends. I feel like I have been on a rollercoaster with these characters through good and bad, heartbreak, sorrow and happiness. They are like family that you don’t want to let go but at the same time I want to see what is in store for them next.

Again, another intriguing tale of mystery. A German U-Boat is found and they are on a mission to protect it and bring it back. Oh the adventures they have. They take many risks. I am enjoying this series. These kids are pretty gutsy. It really is wonderful writing an the characters are so well done and feel like they are kids from your neighborhood.

What a fun adventure series. This is a team of young people that are tasked with saving historical pieces. They have adventures that one can only imagine and go through some danger and mystery. This was a story that I couldn’t put down. I found my self fascinated right from the start. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series.

Adam and his friends are out again trying to help save relics. This time they are in Egypt during a severe sandstorm. They face danger and many risks as they go about their mission. I love the writing and the characters in these stories. Though geared for young adult, they are very easy for adults to get into also. I couldn’t put it down. A fascinating tale.

This is the second book in this series. I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help your enhancement of this series as well as the characters. In this book Leo and his siblings find their new home. What will happen when the past comes to the present and they are after blood. They are now in a game of fight for survival. Who will win and who will lose is up to you to read and find out. You don’t want to miss out for sure. It was great seeing the characters again and what situation they found themselves in. My favorite is Leo and his determination is great. I enjoyed watching the growth of the characters and the plot throughout the story. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down and engaging. A story that will keep you coming back for more until the end. I really enjoyed this book and this series. I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book of a two book series which was entertaining to read. What a great start to a new series and I look forward to picking up book two. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. I enjoyed the author’s writing skills that brought the story to life. Her attention to details brought reality to the story. This is a story about two brothers who have a magical power. They find themselves in a situation where they are forced to leave a life they have always known to find another. It becomes a game of survival, one of which you do not want to miss. I enjoyed these characters and how relatable they are. They are strong characters that add so much to the story. This is a fast paced, engaging story that had me turning pages fast just to find out what happened next. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book.

The Uncrowned King (The Blood Prince Series) by Ayla Marie. This is the second book in the Blood Prince series and its so good. I do recommend reading the first book to better understand characters and timelines. Its about Leo who is supposed to be the next King but he doesn’t want that. He doesn’t want the power he just wants to use the position to make a place for him and his loved ones. When he is first presented with the crown he automatically says no but he and his family decide they can use that position for their betterment. Will Leo succeed in finding a place for his family and friends to thrive and feel safe in? There is murder, intrigue, loyalty and more in this family tale that is a young adult read but I really enjoyed it and I think others will too. Its a fast paced read that will have you reading until you finish. Do yourself a favor and read this fun young adult fantasy, you won’t be disappointed!

Right from the start I found myself chuckling with the story. Miller was hiding his case from his family the best the could. We see when he gets back to the restaurant how that turns out. Maisy is running away from a marriage that she doesn’t really want. She’s doing her best to protect her brother, Bear, from her mother. Between the two of them, there are some issues that are deep and need to be resolved. I do find that these two are like a bit of a healing salve for each other. Miller, a former playboy, doesn’t want any other girl now. Maisy is attracted to Miller and is finding that he makes her happy. Bear has a role to play with everyone. He’s a terrific kid that brings a smile to everyone. He’s my favorite character in the story. He’s so good and innocent. This is a terrific book that has romance, comedy, and drama. When Maisy drops into Miller’s front seat, you can feel the Runaway Bride vibes. It’s a fun story that will have you smiling. There is great chemistry. There are familiar faces that appear in the story from previous books. It can be read as a standalone or in order in the series.

Having enjoyed the previous book in this series I was looking forward to this second novel which is two stories in one, great for binge reading! First is Damian and Bryanna’s story, not only is he connected with the mafia he’s also a wealthy bodyguard. His assignment should have been easy, find Bryanna who had been kidnapped by a global trafficking ring and take her home to her family, but Bryanna has offer plans. Bryanna has secrets and the trafficking ring have a hold over her which makes her fight Damian and even escape from him. However, as soon as he saw Bryanna, he knew she was going to be his and he will do anything to protect her. Dereck and Layla also meet whilst he’s on an assignment, she’s an exotic dancer who has links to the criminal underworld. When Layla is in danger, Dereck calls upon his mafia alliances to help keep her safe, as all it took was one look and she was going to be his. I was captivated by these two dark romantic suspense stories, and although the storylines have me on the edge of my seat, I like knowing that the couple will get a HEA. The chemistry between both couples is fiery and I love how their relationships develop throughout the story. An enjoyable and engaging duet and I look forward to book 3.

The Uncrowned King is sequel of The Blood Prince. I would recommend reading that one first before diving into this next part of the story! The Uncrowned King picks up right at the height of the action with Leo and his siblings surrounded by the court of IIlena. Are they any safer in this new place? Leo must make some tuff decisions to keep his family safe. Will all hope be lost? The book has three main perspectives (Leo, Elena, and Cael). I like the change of narrator because we get more insight into the other characters. I recommend reading book these books by Ayla Marie, she is talented writer! There is a minor cliffhanger at the end of the story so I am anxiously awaiting the next book.

This historical / thriller / fantasy series (seriously, it’s all those genres put together) is back for its third and final installment and I’m a little sad to see it end. I love the fast pace, the suspense, the adventure of it all. There’s so much detail in the world and the characters are compelling, which makes the reader kind of fall into the story themselves. This book had me hooked, as did the rest of the series. Highly recommend!

5 Stars Good Enough (The Deadman’s Tribe Series Book 1) by Nicole Craig
Good Enough is the first book in The Deadman’s Tribe Series and is a Romance Suspense that will have you turning the pages till the end. This is also this authors debut novel. The cover absolutely intrigued me so much I had to know what the story was. I’m a sucker for any kind of Military Romance and this one definitely checks all the boxes. The characters are developed and engaging and they made the story come to life. The twists and turns had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Kai and Waters oh my these two have the sizzling chemistry between them and both are fighting it. Kai is a Hollywood director who enlists the helpfrom Tribe for the upcoming movies she is working on . It focuses on Navy Seal and she wants it to be as close to real life as possible. So with the help of Waters who will help in that area. There’s some danger lurking around can Waters keep Kai safe? I don’t want to give to much away so I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Im eagerly waiting for the next book in this series.

Another crazy hot duet from this author. I am a sucker for a dark mafia romance. This gives me two for one. There are twists, so much drama, some steamy steam, and lots of brave men and women fighting the blight of human trafficking.
This story picks up where we left the last duet. The agency’s men are on a rescue mission to find and return Jenny’s niece, Bryanna. Damian feels an unusual pull to protect this green eyed beauty. He can’t fight it. Damian’s protector drives kick into high gear whenever he is near her. Bryanna is in serious danger but fights Damian at every turn, even running back to the people that took her.
Damian figures out part of the truth that keeps Bryanna running back. When he is able to tell her that he is protecting those most important to her, Bryanna stops running long enough to help Damian get the bad guys that took her from her family.
Bryanna was able to find one person during her ordeal that protected her and helped her, Layla. When Layla exchanges information to help Bryanna, she puts herself in peril. Dereck, Damian’s teammate, steps up to protect Layla from the trouble they caused her by using her to help Bryanna. Dereck learns fast that there is more to Layla than meets the eye.
Dereck and Layla can each feel the magnetic pull towards each other. Dereck thinks it is because he can feel Layla’s latent submissive side whenever they are together but it just makes Layla fight and pull against Dereck even more. Dereck continues to earn Layla’s trust by showing up whenever she puts herself into more and more dangerous situations trying to solve a mystery.
The teams come together to help figure out who is behind the trafficking ring and prevent new “shipments” from leaving. It is never as easy as they plan and face new difficulties even as they bring several key players in the rings down. Fantastic stories!!! I hope that there are truly people out there fighting the bad guys that ‘gather’ for traffickers and the sickos that are the reasons for them.

Trouble has always had a way of finding me, but even I never expected to be carjacked by a pretty girl in a wedding dress.
As the official family screw-up, not many people count on me for anything but a good time. But Maisy Romero and her little brother need a knight in shining armor, and they need him yesterday.
Clearly, I’m not that guy, especially since I’ve already got serious trouble chasing me down—the kind that just landed me in jail. The last thing this runaway bride needs is to tangle herself up with me and my mess.
But Maisy sees something greater in me that nobody else ever has—well, almost nobody—and she’s determined to get me to see it too.
I should push her away for her own good. After all, there’s a reason people don’t count on me. But somehow I still find myself asking: Could I possibly be that knight after all—even if my armor is tarnished and dented?

Details, details, details. This is the first time I have heard of this incredible author, R.C. Reigh, and honestly paragraph one had me hooked. Her writing style, the number of details and everything just pull you in and lock you in the upright position for the world and adventures she is about to take you on. Told from multiple perspectives we get a full scope of the story, and every detail from different sides along the way. Prince Dane of Carpathia is a wolf shifter and through an early alliance of his kingdom to Avonlee he is betrothed to Princess Amelia. Not only do we see the story unfold from both of their perspectives, but we get several others, Cora, Kessara, and Roarke just to name a few. Each having their own parts in the plot that keep the story moving at a steady pace. Amelia enters Bastion with one goal to convince Dane to release her from their arrangement that was made while they were just babes. But what follows is no less than heart pounding twists and turns as the characters learn more than they ever expected at Bastion Academy. I cannot wait to read book two, Dragons, and continue to see how this incredible world continues to be revealed.

Good Enough — The Deadman’s Tribe Book 1: A Protector Romance / Romantic Suspense
I fall fast for books fairly often, but rarely in the first chapter and even more rare is when I happens in the first page or two. This one is a especially rare book. I fell hard and fast and my love only grew over the course of the book.
Kai dealt with exactly no garbage from anyone especially from executive producer who does everything possible to make crazy and she refuses to take the bait. She is a strong woman in a male dominated business and I think that bothered a lot of the Men in charge.
Waters is definitely the strong silent type who sees everything even when you think he doesn’t. He is a true military man and takes his mission seriously no matter what it is and even if he isn’t sure exactly what the mission is.
When I realized this was Ms. Craig’s debut I was shocked. She definitely writes like a more experienced author. I’m anxious to see how she develops as an author and the characters.
The guys in the Tribe are going to be a lot of fun to follow. I look forward to seeing all of them in the future.

I’m loving this series! This mystery is set in Los Angeles in the 1930s. The main character is this scrappy little orphan who has been living on the streets. It is told in the first person, from her point of view. Although she now has a safe place to sleep and regular meals, she struggles to leave behind her life on the streets. She struggles with making good choices, which is something we can all relate to.

The Uncrowned King is the second book in The Blood Prince YA fantasy series. Leo is the rightful heir to the throne but doesn’t want to be King, he just hopes to use his connection to the crown to secure a safe place for him and those he loves.
This is an exciting book full of action and intrigue. Every decision Leo and his family make is watched by those around them and could impact their safety, positively or negatively. They must choose who to trust, which rules to bend, when to insist on doing things their way.
The story gets quite dark at times, and emotional at others (and of course dark and emotional!). There were times when I had to put it down for a moment just to absorb what had happened and have a break from the intensity! But other times I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know what happened next.
The Uncrowned King gets five stars from me! I’d recommend it to fans of fantasy series with maps in the front and unconventional families with tight bonds.

This book is such a great read. It’s full of suspense, gritting, love, sex, mystery, between Kai and Waters. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I had a hard time putting the book down. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! I highly recommend this book!!!
