The Prisoner of Paradise is the first book in the Painted Souls Trilogy. An enrapturing start to what i can already tell is gonna be an epic series. It’s full to the brim with twists and turns, action, and beautiful world building. Rob makes his books hard to put down, and I can’t wait to see what waits for me in the next book. I definitely recommend this work of art to anyone looking for a beautiful, action packed, page turner, Angelo will not disappoint.

This is the 3rd and finally book in the Painted Souls Series. I do recommend reading them from the start so you get the complete story and you won’t be disappointed. Reading them from the beginning also helps you to understand the switch between times from the past to present day. I can imagine without knowing the reason for it, it would make the books confusing. These books are historical thrillers. They are books you can’t help but get lost in. Their is romance, danger, evil, past and present and countless souls needing to be saved from purgatory.
With Julia’s husband Nick’s soul trapped in purgatory it is a race against time for her and her friends. They need to stop Salvatore della Porta from taking over the world by Veritism—the one religion and they need to save Nick’s soul as well as the souls of other people who have been trapped and condemned to purgatory. Will Julia and her friends be able to find the ancient relic needed to save everyone and stop Salvatore or will they run out of time?
This author has weaved a fantasy tale in this series. One that has you gripped and on the edge of your seat. I am sad that this is the last book but I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definately read it again.

Anything that has to do with a four legged friend, I’m here for it. And I love a good kids book because reading time with my girls, is one of my favorite things to do. Book was fun and the illustrations were great as well. My kids loved it so that’s definitely a plus! If you’re looking for a great childrens book, I highly suggest this one.

This author has done it again. Her Fascinating story will open up the child’s imagination. This children’s story had piqued my interest. The characters are more true to today’s families. I feel that makes this story a must have. So many open conversations with the little ones. This author has presented new words as well giving some actions to play out. What a fun story to read. I hope your children enjoy this short story, as much as mine did. I will be looking for more stories from this author.
This was a good read. I really enjoyed the team very much and thought they had good group chemistry. I liked the characters in the book and felt that they kept you interested in the plot. The banter between the characters felt organic and not overly done in a way that didn’t feel authentic. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is a fantastic book. I found it to be both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Kai and Waters have powerful chemistry together that make this story cohesive. I love how well the story is written. The danger appears on the set to Kai and Waters and his team are right there to protect her. The characters are very well-thought out and developed. I can’t wait to read more in this series and see where it goes.

This is a cute story about using your imagination and I think kids would like it. I also like the idea that Wickstrom is weaving in on how to deal with missing people when we can’t be near them (I always love how she is working in multiple levels of lessons in her books). I feel that the illustrations are a little lackluster with this series. I normally gush over the artwork, but it’s different even from the cover of the book. Some stories move at a natural pace but then the climax/ending gets slammed into the shortest time frame possible and feels rushed. Not this story. Equal pace through the entire book. I love it!
Waters and Kai are two very strong individuals. These two are just working together on the production of a movie. However, it is their first meeting when the sparks fly. I love their secret insta-attraction and how they try to fight their feelings. Waters is a Military guy, Navy Seal to be exact. Currently he works for The Tribe, which is a group of Navy Seals who work secret assignments trying to right the wrongs around the world. Kai is an up and coming Hollywood producer who takes no crap from anyone, respects those who respect her and is in general a good person who works hard. Kai is sent to The Tribe looking for a consultant to help with her film. Little does she know what is waiting for her over the next 3 months. 3 months is the time span of this entire book. This author throws all the feelings into that time frame. Love, light, despair, lust, anger, laughter.
This is the first book by this author and the first in the series entitled Deadman’s Tribe. Looking forward to reading more from this author and about this Tribe.

This story is loaded with mystery and exhilaration. It is one of those books that you keep saying “okay one more page. Okay maybe one more chapter”, again and again until you finish the book at 4am. This is a fast-paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I would suggest reading the other books before this (this is book 6)…I did not head my own advise BUT I was able to pick up the characters and events rather quickly. I just feel that I would have had a better understanding of the enormity of everything if I would have gone back into the series and started from the beginning. I absolutely loved the characters in the book and while it can get overwhelming hearing from them all…I fully believe it’s necessary to the plot because they just add so much to it and it would be hard to do it any other way. I also liked that Tom is just your typical retired agent who just can’t let the life go and it’s through hard work and dedication that he’s able to do his job. I highly recommend picking this book (and probably the series) up if you like fast-paced, action-packed thrillers that will keep you on the edge of your seat…and if that’s not your cup of tea…branch out and try it…you might like it 😉 Reviewed by @meggs1717

I cannot get enough of Via Mari’s books. She is quickly becoming an automatic author for me. I absolutely loved the second installment of her Sinful Duets collection (remember…there are two books in here: Auctioned and Relentless) and I am eagerly awaiting the release of the third installment. As with the first collection, I could not put this collection down. Mari quickly entraps her readers and submerses them into the lives of her characters and she doesn’t let you come up for air until it’s all over. I love the dual POV that we get with each book…seeing the timeline from each main character’s perspective is one of my favorite things. I also really enjoy how each of these books are tied together; however, they can be read as standalones. She gives you enough information and explanation without repeating the entire previous story but if you’ve read the previous stories you get to see the characters you’ve fallen in love with and what they’re up to now. These books are *spicy*, suspenseful, angsty, emotional, and eventually happily ever after. Definitely a must read!

Master of the Abyss is the third book and final book in the Painted Souls Series. This is wonderfully written Historical Thriller that will have you turning the pages till the end. I would highly suggest reading this series in order as each book plays off the last and you get a better understanding of what has been going on and you get to know the characters better and the back story. I literally read the second book and realized I missed the first one so it was read afterwards and I’m glad I did. This is a on the edge of your seat thriller that is packed with drama, suspense, action, mystery, a ancient journal, adventure and so much more. Get ready for quite the epic adventure as Julia O’Connor and friends set have there work cut out for them as they race save not only her husband but all the others that are trapped in enteral torment. I literally read this in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. I had to know how everything was going to pan out. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Buckle up cause you are in for quite the ride. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

Kai is directing a Hollywood film and requires a consultant but not just any a Navy Seal who can guide her through the processes she requires. She did not expect Waters every girls dream but she does not need the distraction and keeps things professional until things starts happening on the set with things going missing and when it is escalated to kidnap, she has to riley on Waters to protect and solve the mystery.
Waters is an enigma, a Navy Seal with no real identity when he said yes to the consulting gig he thought it would be plain sailing, but with his attraction to the director and odd things happening his protection side kicks in and tries to help resolve the issues until it becomes clear someone is after Kai and they are not going to stop until he stops them.
Oh my lord this book packs a punch, what more could a woman need but a sexy, hot Navy Seal with Alpha tendencies. Although this is the authors first book, I have to say it was well written and the characters where well developed and jumped off the page.
The story was full of twists and turns and drives you to keep reading to the very end, especially with the interactions between the characters is a joy to read. As it says in the blurb there are instances of violence which may cause triggers for some readers and be mindful of that when choosing but for me this story was full of grit and power and loved every word of it.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and met more of the Deadman’s Tribe.

Lost Property is the sixth book in The Tom Grant Series. This is a Suspense Thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. This author is fairly new to me and this may be the sixth book in the series but they can be read as standalones. Tom Grant finds himself in a situation where there’s danger involved but he’s also trying to figure out who can be trusted or not. The twists and turns will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this this fast paced story to find out what happens next. This book was a good one! This is the second book in the Savage Duet series and it picks up where book one left off, so this is definitely a series that should be read in order. The main characters were awesome. I like the banter and the dynamic between the two was interesting! The chemistry between them was hot hot hot even if they started out in a rocky place. This author has a nice writing style and i enjoyed the book alot so i would recommend to anyone that likes a good romance read! Happy Reading!

Tom is pulled from retirement after two girls show up only willing to talk to him. Learning there is a third girls from a group that could bring down a major kidnapping ring; it becomes quickly apparent that was no longer retired. I love thrillers with fast faced action and this book did not disappoint. I haven’t read any other books in the series but the author does a really great job at “introducing ” characters. Her descriptions effectively give sufficient background but also their personalities. I knew I was going to enjoy this book when I found it was written in character point of views. This writing style is not for everybody but it was done very well and didn’t feel overwhelming. Great read. You won’t be totally lost if you haven’t read the first books in the series but as someone who hasn’t read them, I feel like things would have made more sense if I had.

Book 2 in the Grandma’s Closet series, Lois Wickstrom does a great job, yet again, in drawing you into a wonderful story of make-believe. Everything I have read by this author has been very well written and entertaining. Can’t wait to see what is next.
I love a good romantic suspense story that can pull me in from page one. This story had it all action, drama, romance and characters you can connect with easily. This author is new but I’m already excited for more. The characters pull you so completely into their world making it almost impossible to put the book down until the last page. It’s got a fast pace with a lot going on but the author does a great job of keeping it in a very clear story that makes you sink into it. I know the year has just started but this book is already in my top reads for it. Five stars and can’t wait to see where this author takes us next.

This was an interesting read! I really like that the author gave a character list that even included descriptions and occupation. This definitely helped with the in-depth writing style of the author. This story takes place in the future and really makes you think. The story is very detailed and has a lot of descriptive writing. As with any good story there is some controversy amongst some of the characters that has to be overcome. You really have to know who you can trust when the world is ending. I am looking forward to book 2! This was a good start to the series!

Good Enough is Book 1 in Thea Deadman’s Tribe series and also a debut novel….This was such a great read and I can say I am already looking forward to more from this author and series. I love a good romantic suspense story that give me the twists, turns and drama with some sizzling moments. The author delivered of what I love in reading a story like this. A hot Navy SEAL and a very strong leading lady full of sass as well as the connection and chemistry between Waters and Kai is truly undeniable. Danger, intrigue, romance and the banter!!
Kai is a strong, independent film director with no filter and holds nothing back. She wants to direct a film that is accurate in details and hires a Navy SEAL to consult with. Waters is not initially looking forward to being the Navy SEAL to consult with over a film, but as Waters gets to know Kai on a work level, he is quite impressed, but he will always be a protector with his radar on high alert at all times. Waters feels like he is on alert knowing that Kai may be in danger, especially when her brother is missing…..what happens next and will Kai ever feel like she is good enough…

Fascination in everyday life. Lois Wickstrom’s greatest talent is bringing wonder to an everyday thing, such as bouncing a ball but seeing it in a new way. I loved this book and so did my seven-year-old because it showed him that everything in the world can be fascinating. All you must do is look at it in a new way.
This was an absolutely fantastic thriller! I highly recommend picking up previous books, but if you happen to read this as a standalone, I believe you’ll be able to catch up with the background provided. If there was an “unputdownable” genre, this book would be at the top of the list. I ignored all my responsibilities for the day because I could not stop reading this book! I love that it is told from different points of view throughout the story, and the suspense is absolutely top notch. Tom finds himself in danger again trying to carefully figure out who he can trust and who is determined to see the end of his days. Will he be able to make it out and survive or is this finally the end of Tom? This is a gripping read that will have you in a trance from the very first chapter. Don’t pass it up or you’ll be missing out!

This is the third book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. I didn’t pay close attention and read this one first, so I was pleased to find that I wasn’t lost without the first two books. I plan on picking them up soon though because this was an amazing read! I feel that I am pretty good at predicting what will happen in most books, but this one was a rollercoaster of unpredictable twists and turns. The flow of the story is magnificent, and I enjoyed the non-stop action and adventure. I don’t want to give anything away here, but please don’t skip this book! Reading about Tom and Isabella’s mysterious and thrilling adventures will preoccupy your time for the rest of the day!

I love a good book with some military action, suspense, and even a bit of romance. I love the cover of this book. However, I did not love this book.
First, let’s talk about what I did love about it though. As previously mentioned, I love the cover. It’s intriguing and I want to know more about the people on it. I love stories with a military focus. They have always fascinated me and the fact that this one is talking about the roles of Navy SEALS had me intrigued. I like action, suspense and romance too. All of those things were in this book.
What I didn’t like and couldn’t get past in this story was the language. I couldn’t even finish this book because the language was so incredibly strong. I know that with a military read to expect strong language but this was entirely overkill. I couldn’t finish this book because of this. I had such high hopes for this story based on the premise but I don’t talk like this in my daily life and I don’t want to read a book that has such vile language just about every other word.
There are many favorable reviews over this author’s debut book so I’d encourage them to read those reviews (I wish I had before I picked this one up). You might end up enjoying this story but it wasn’t for me.

I am not typically a fantasy reader but I figured that I would give this one a go! I surprised myself with how much I liked it. The character development of Lennahi as she steps into her new role was truly incredible. I often times thought that she was going to back down only for her to come off strong and hard. As someone who doesn’t typically read fantasy, the world building in the beginning was a little overwhelming, but as the story went on it made total sense. If you’re looking to dip your feet into the world of Fantasy, I think this is a great place to start. Once I got beyond the world building, I finished the book in two days..I needed to know what was going to happen!
