Charlotte is a beautiful and smart woman, she runs one of the family business but her passion is in the world of design and the beautiful creations she makes. If only she had the support she desperately wants. After a painful relationship that went bad she doesn’t date but has no problem helping her best friend in finding love. In helping her best friend Ava, Charlotte finds more than she ever thought possible. After several men walk into her store Charlotte can not help but feel things for the younger of the two. This man stirs up feelings in her that she finds hard to ignore.

Chris doesn’t do relationships and he most certainly does not dating. He ensures the women know up front that they will not get more than one night. Chris finds himself stuck trying to make ends meet and working and living with his brother. He has dreams for a different kind of future, if only dreams came true. When he meets Charlotte he starts to feel and begins to see a different kind of future. Charlotte gives him hope and helps him believe that his dreams can come true.

Can Chris help Charlotte in ways her family have never been able to? Will Charlotte take a chance with Chris? Will the past ruin any chance of her finding happiness? Can Charlotte help Chris make his dreams come true? Will he believe in himself and his abilities? Can Chris make peace with the only family he has? Will Charlotte reveal her past and learn to heal?

This book has just a little bit of everything, it is sweet and funny, sexy and emotional. As with the first book you just want to give these characters a hug and help them along the way. I am sure you will enjoy this story.

JaneDoe123 is a happily divorced woman who doesn’t do relationships. She has a great successful business she loves and a best friend who she would do anything for except the one thing she can’t bring herself to do, date. She seems content to perv on the one guy at the gym that has caught her eye. When she doesn’t take the next step Charlotte, her bestie decides enough is enough and signs her up to a dating site and JaneDoe123 is born. As soon as JaneDoe123 is set up she starts to get hits but they are more than she bargained for. The things men are looking for and the pictures they send end up being deleted but the ones that make it are just as bad when they meet face to face. She is on the verge of giving up when she receives one message that may just change her life.

TrickyRicky wants blood and that blood is his brother’s. Why? Because he has decided it is time for him to find that special someone and has set him up on a dating site, and the god awful name TrickyRicky. After a bad break up he threw himself into his job as a Chef. He has built a successful business doing the one thing he loves, cooking. After finding something curious on the dating site he decides to contact JaneDoe123. After comparing dating horror stories they both find themselves sharing more and more of themselves and decide to meet but fate may have a different opinion. After the day from hell they finally meet and they find more than they bargained for.

Will they find the love of their lives? Can they survive all that is thrown at them? Will they fight for each other? Can they let the past go? Can they learn to love themselves to love each other? Will the past destroy what they want?

This is a sweet yet funny and endearing story of learning to love yourself and finding the one. The characters will draw you into the online world of dating with romance and fun and often finding yourself wanting to hug them..

Four O’Clock by Josephine Traynor is book 2 in her Time Series, it is a romantic comedy about two people that are completely misunderstood, with dreams of successful futures and no plans for any sort of committed relationships.

Charlotte runs her family’s clothing store. Her family expects her to take over the business someday. All Charlotte wants to do is design and feels under appreciated and not taken seriously. She tried the dating thing and it ended in heartbreak and has made up her mind that that will never happen again.

Chris, behind on his bills, moving back in with his brother who pretty much raised him when they lost their parents when Chris was very young. He works in the kitchen of his brothers restaurant with dreams of becoming an architect someday, if he could only afford to go to school. Always being reminded that he is a screw up he has never shared with his brother any of his dreams for the future.

Charlotte and Chris meet when Chris and his brother Patrick rush into her store to buy a new suit for Patrick’s first date with someone he met online. Through conversation Charlotte realizes that this someone he is meeting is her best friend Ava. With events that follow it seems the universe is against Patrick and Ava meeting which sets Charlotte and Chris on a matchmaking mission, that ends up making them both question their thoughts about dating. Their connection is immediate, what they have in common is undeniable. Can these two fulfill their mission? Can they let their guards down enough to realize what is staring them in the face? And most importantly can they both find a way to be taken seriously in their hopes for the future?

I did not read the first book of this series, but I plan to as soon as possible. I absolutely loved this book, I loved the way the author brought these characters to life for me. Her writing style grabbed me from page one and didn’t let go. Every part was perfect and I didn’t want it to end!! 5 amazing stars!!

A Quarter to Twelve by Josephine Traynor is my first encounter with the writer and I really enjoyed it! It is the first book of the series and as we meet also the characters who are the leads in the next book, I cannot wait for the second book.
I assume every one of us has at some point in time thought about joining an online dating service AND most likely actually followed through with it … I luckily did not have the ‘fun’ that Ava experienced with her trial (no unsavory pictures) or maybe it is the Australian thing . I am sure though that all of us have a friend or a friend of a friend with a horror story about online dating so we can for sure relate to what Ava went through.
What I loved about Ava and Patrick, our two leads, that they are completely ‘normal’ – no six packs or size 0 blondes having everything going for them. No, they are like you and me, with their imperfections and baggage and triggers and doubts and at the same time, both of them still hope for someone who puts them first, stands next to them and supports them through thick and thin!
I had such a fun reading this book. I was rooting for both Ava and Patrick! I was screaming at Ava’s mother in my head and I was frustrated with all the twists and challenges they had when trying to meet. I laughed and I cried and above all, I hoped for them to be there for each other and stick it out and prove that there is someone out there for each of us and we simply need to take a chance!
As I said, I will be reading the second book – Chris and Charlotte’s book as well!
