An amazing book. I really don’t have adequate words to express how much I enjoyed the ride the author took me on. If you enjoy a crime laden thrill ride, run and grab a copy of this book. I know I am adding this author immediately to my must read list.

The Willow Creek Coven has been a sanctuary for witches for many years and it’s no different for Cassie. When her brother threatens to take her home where she can’t practice magic, she begs the Goddess to keep her hidden from him. When the Goddess brings her out of hiding, Cassie steps into a world she doesn’t recognize anymore and the coven consists of only one man who refuses to practice magic anymore. Things will have to change though because a shadow is settling over Willow Creek and more than just the witches’ lives are at stake.
This surprised me in the best of ways and I really enjoyed my time reading this. It’s super quick and pretty short but it feels like the author covered enough to really make the story feel well rounded. One of my favorite parts is the small details of connecting the four elements to different creatures who represent them and asking for their blessings before practicing magic. I’ll be interested to see what happens next, especially with the romance. It felt a little quick but with the details included in the book, it didn’t feel forced.

Young – Review by Lauren Schnoebelen
I am a huge fan of this author. Some of her books I love, some I don’t care for and others are just meh. This one didn’t fall in the love category. While I respect the time and effort (I cant imagine the research for Saffie’s part) it took to put these words down..it is an okay book. I like movement (forward motion for the characters and story) and action. The characters in here (Saffie had the most) had little movement. I am saying that gently as I don’t want to discount the horrific life that Saffie has endured. The story just didn’t really go too far. Not much action other than what happened to Saffie. I am guessing a lot of this will change in the second part.
I do always enjoy seeing the members in their natural habitat—haha. Their joy at being together as a club and friends. Its clearly evident in here how much they care for each other and the club. There were a few new characters introduced that I loved to hate. I’m sure they were written that way and could change in the next part but bleh right now.
Overall its an okay story. I was truly horrified, saddened and disgusted for Saffie’s sake. Niran’s confused me at times but I did get to see what kind of mettle he has. I am hoping for more in the second part.

Reis as a witty way with words and this book is no exception. Somehow I missed the second book of this series – still trying to figure out how that happened – and I jumped into this third installment eagerly. I didn’t feel I was at a loss picking up where I did however I know there were plot points I didn’t appreciate as much having missed book two. That said this book was a fun romp with fantasy creatures and gods. I thoroughly enjoy the author’s storytelling and look forward to picking up the book I missed.

Holmes continues this series in the way in which I expect – beautiful detailed history that comes to life in every page. If you are a fan of expertly written history, particularly ancient Egyptian lore, Holmes’s series is an immediate must read. Each story stands well on its own but for full enjoyment of character development I would recommend reading in series order. Another stellar work.

I’m familiar with Copeland’s work and specifically this book. I enjoyed it on first read but thought the audio took it to an interesting level. I appreciated the narrator’s interpretation of the work and the depth provided to this fantasy. If you enjoy a well written fantasy, this book is one worthy of adding to your library in print and audio.

Grave Digger Academy by C.A. King is a fun YA book that appeals to all readers. This author has become one or those that I will read even without looking at the book description. Her work is always fantastic and I know that whatever book I read is I’ll enjoy it. This book is no different whatsoever. I was hooked the moment I started reading. I became invested in the characters and just found them so relatable. I could easily imagine everything they got up to and I just found them to be so entertaining. The story was well written, as expected. It is fairly fast paced but for me that just added to the excitement. When I started this book I didn’t realise it was the first in a series but I an glad it is – I cannot wait to read the next books.

Avenging Devil Part 1: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego is the third book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series by Manda Mellett.
I am already a fan of this series and couldn’t wait for a new addition to it, these books just keep getting better! I love them. This story mainly follows Niran and Saffie who meet by chance at the hospital. When Saffie needs a strong arm and a shoulder to cry on, Niran offers his strength and friendship. When he realises that his feelings towards Saffie are more than that of friends, he has his work cut out for him as Saffie struggles with his loyalty to the MC world.
As always with this author’s work, the story tackles some difficult, but very real, storylines. There are bucket loads of angst and emotion, it certainly isn’t an easy journey for the pair. You get to catch up with a few familiar faces too, which I really enjoy. I can’t wait to read book two in this series.

I really enjoyed this second book in the series. Where I had trouble relating to the obsession about celebrities and trying to fit in to the popular group in the first book, it really built a foundation for book two of the series, where Hadley’s character shined a lot brighter. Establishing a solid group of friends to rely on really helped Hadley shine through with more confidence and allowed the author to really show her kind and thoughtful nature, and she seemed to naturally help her newfound friends find their own footing to be themselves in the process, too. Where I felt like Hadley had come off kind of whiny in the first book, her portrayal in Competing With the Star was more relatable and showed her blossoming maturity. The second book almost makes me feel like I wasn’t giving her enough credit in the first book, as I really started to love Hadley by the end of the second one. The romance that develops between Hadley and Nick in Competing With the Star is sweet and tender, wrapped in honesty and vulnerability that stands in contrast to the fakeness and passive-agressive rude behavior of some of the others in their larger friends group. I also loved seeing more development of the stories surrounding the main characters’ relationships with their elderly family members, especially since that was one of my favorite things about the first novel. Although book two could certainly be read as a standalone, I kind of appreciated all the backstory that book one created for this book to really get the full picture of the characters.

I haven’t read a YA book in years, apart from some dystopian fiction, so this book was a little different than the typical adult novels I read. But, overlooking the teen girl obsession of appearances and celebrity gossip, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their wholesomeness. Not being much into fangirling or trying to impress the popular kids (even when I was in high school), I couldn’t relate much to the things the characters were focusing on, at times, but I wouldn’t have considered myself a typical teen, either, when I was in high school. I was more of a Charlotte, out of all of the characters. What I did thoroughly enjoy was reading the characters develop as they navigated teen friendships and worked out what was important to them. I struggled a bit with Hadley’s severe lack of confidence and always worrying about what everyone around her wanted her to say, do, wear, or act; this was balanced out a bit, too, though, with her loving family and their nurturing relationships and bonds. It was cute to see Hadley and her friends sharing gossip, television shows, and mutual interests with each other’s parents and extended family members; and there is a natural sweetness and innocence that draws you in as the story progresses.

I read Grumbler’s Ride as a stand-alone, and was not disappointed. This is my first novel from this author, so I was a little hesitant. Since this is the second in the series, it took some time to read past the background story, but not so much to put the book down. Many romance stories involve 20-something or even 30-something aged characters, so I was a little surprised to read that Grumbler is nearing 60! However, the silver fox on the cover truly depicts the sexiness of this character. I think the author did a great job of portraying the mindset, maturity, and “experience” of a man Grumbler’s age. Reading about the challenges and blossoming relationship of Grumbler and Mary was a fun ride that neither of them saw coming, including me! Great read!

Lake of Flowers (The Lord Hani Mysteries, book 5) by N.L. Holmes. This is the 5th book in the Lord Hani series and its soo good. This is not my usual genre but I have fallen in love with this set of books. Its the continuing story of Lord Hani who has been thrown into a hole other set of drama that has nothing to do with him but regardless he’s in the middle of it. Hani has been asked to help the King with a problem and it drags his family including his daughter into the mess. Hani is trying to solve the problem and keep his daughter safe! This mystery all has to do with the Prince and his identity which involves government and radicals trying to take over. N.L. Holmes writes with such talent that you feel like you are there in the place she is describing and you are in the middle of Lord Hani’s mess. Will Lord Hani find out the mystery surrounding the Prince and will he keep his daughter and her friend safe? Read Lake of Flowers to find out! I can’t wait for Book #6!

I didn’t realize when I was listening to this book that it was book 4 in the series. The book had an exciting plot and many twists and turns along the way. I was able to understand what was going on fairly well, but I think I would have been much more connected to the characters had I read at the start. I also think that the flow of the book narration could be improved a bit. I found the characters sometimes changing locations or conversations without realizing until a good way through. I think the narration could have made use of some pauses between scene changes to help this. In general, interesting book, plot was well thought out, and I need to go back to the beginning so that I can enjoy this story from the start! Excited to read more from Tricia Copeland.

This is the third book in the Of Magic and Scales series and I was surprised by how much I liked the story and this is mainly because m/m stories are not my thing – but having read the rest of the series I wanted to see how it ended. Again, the author told a magical tale and I was really engaged in what I was reading. There was so much going on in this story that I couldn’t put it down – the authors writing style was really good. I would definitely recommend that the series is read in order. I have really enjoyed this series and Of Fire and Bone was a perfect conclusion.

Mr. Nice Guy is the first book in the Pierce Brothers series by Belinda Williams. I never pass up any of Belinda Williams’ stories- as she never fails to deliver a very entertaining read. This is a fun romcom with a bit of a friends-to-lovers element that gave the story an extra element of interest for me. Chelsea has been unlucky in love, always falling for the bad boys who aren’t cut out to be in a relationship. Tom happens to be her friend and housemate who has heard about every one of the ‘failures’. He has a suggestion that takes Chelsea by surprise, but also intrigues her. And so a fake relationship begins. Tom will show Chelsea what she’s been missing out on by not dating a ‘nice guy’. Get set for the fun to begin. Will the lines between friendship become blurred beyond recognition? What happens if feeling become involved? This story is worth the read to find out all the entertaining details. Another great read from Belinda Williams. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the series! Happy Reading!

Yet again another outstanding 5 star read from this author. After reading the synopsis for this story I couldn’t wait to get started – it was just brilliant from start to finish. This is the first book from this author that I’ve read that ends on a cliff-hanger in anticipation for part two and what a cliff-hanger it is! I cannot wait for the next part of this story! I will say, and so does the author, that there are triggers in this story and it was hard to read in parts the author made everything seem so real at times. I felt really connected to the characters, and I definitely loved some and hated others! I am really looking forward to seeing where the author takes the next book!

This is a full length Paranormal fantasy. Readers of all ages will enjoy Kingdom of War. I feel the YA would really enjoy this action packed adventure. Paranormal at it’s best.
This is Hunter’s story and the part he takes in the Trinity of Light. He is the leader of the teens as they search for the needed shards. As well as a coming of age fantasy. Will Evil win over the Good? Will Hunter and the others find what they seek? Will they be on time?
Tricia Copeland is the author in this series. Her story is planned out perfectly. This was one fantastic rollercoaster of a ride. Fast paced and action packed. Great road trip audiobook for the whole family. This story’s characters are just who I pictured them to be, as I listened to the story. Strong women as well as strong men work together bringing this adventure to life. Well Done Tricia Copeland! Well Done! ! !

This is another great book by one of my favorite writers. It is the beginning of a series and I’m already waiting to get my hands on the next book because I didn’t want to put this one down. It’s reminiscent of the Harry Potter and the Simon Fayter book series of which I am huge fans of. This is filled with a lot of twists and turns and as the character is learning to come to terms with her talents as well as unknown family secrets. The main character reminds me a lot of Hermione Granger with her wits and talents so of course that was great to see. There aren’t that many female heroines in most of these young adult fantasy books. And unlike Hogwarts this academy isn’t the most sought-after school. But it turns out to be perfectly imperfect for the characters. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this wonderfully written book.

The author does an amazing job at creating the scenes and also creating characters you connect with. This book is another adventure from beginning to end with twists and turns you don’t see coming.

Sex on Fire: A Quickie Read (Naughty Neighbor Book 1) by Ashley Bostock is tantalising, steamy and sizzling that I read in one sitting. Ashley’s characters are fun, and I love their witty banter. I also love stories that are written in dual POV’s. The story is very short, and it was over before it really got started so it would have been nice if it were longer.

This author has really outdone herself with this one! I am obsessed, addicted, I can’t get enough of this story! As a heads up this book will leave your hanging, but have no worries, the next installment will be coming soon. Saffie and Niran’s story is defiantly my top favorite right now. I try not to be annoyed with Saffie knowing all she has been through, but poor Niran has been pounding into her head over and over that he just wants to help. I can understand why she is hesitant, she doesn’t know all that I know about Niran and his MC. Niran and Saffie’s relationship is slow to build up, and mostly we get to learn a lot about Saffie’s previous life with the old MC she was with and Niran as well. I have a bad feeling that Can, Niran’s half sister is shady as hell and is going to cause a lot of damage. In this end of this book my heart is just broken, and I’m dying to see what happens next!

I love the way this author writes, the stories all have romance but added in is the element of crime against the main characters and a mystery that needs to be uncovered. Isabel and Matt are a sweet couple, I love that Matt becomes so protective and in love with her as quickly as he does, especially with the way they first meet. Throughout the book Matt tries to uncover who is behind the plot to kill his new wife, along with Matt, we as the reader are trying to figure that out ourselves. There were so many times I thought I knew who it was but was fooled until the end. I really enjoy period romances and with little twists and turns along the way, it keeps the book more exciting and me engaged. I look forward to more from this author.

Fun paranormal read. I really enjoyed this book, the characters were easy to fall in love with and the story was interesting. There are many different connections between the different characters and the author introduced the connections seamlessly, everything flowed so nicely. I don’t know how I would feel if I were Cassie, living in 1974, then after being put under a spell wake up 45 years later. It is nice that she finds Nick and their connection is cemented and their relationship starts to bloom. The reason why Cassie shows up the year she does after being “asleep” for so many years is a nice twist to the story. It seems she is there to help Nick solve the reason why his Grandma and mother have gone, and then with the way his brother Evan played a role in everything, I was completely lost in the story. I can’t wait to see what happens next with these characters and their adventure.

Young – Review by Carrie Reed
Action, adventure, drama, and a coming of age all rolled into one! What a wonderful audiobook to have selected for our family road trip this summer! While my kids are older teens, it had enough excitement and mystery to keep the whole car on edge and following along. I think it even helped make the bathroom breaks shorter, because everyone wanted to know what happened next!! The author is a master at world-building, it is fast-paced in a good way, and the narrator had a wonderful way of making the book come alive! I highly recommend this series and only wish I would have found it when my son was younger. @pippawoods

I always love it when I find out that Belinda Williams has a new RomCom available. I really needed a hearty love story with some good laughs and Mr. Nice Guy sure did deliver the goods! I really loved how Ms. Williams took a typical friends to lovers trope and made me fall in love with it all over again while I rooted for these two to find the happily ever after at the end of the story. Chelsea is our main gal and the one who just cannot seem to find a guy who has a nice bone in his body to save her soul. Enter her roommate and friend Tom and you have a recipe for a wonderful read. I loved this one and I could totally see myself diving into this one again for several re-reads. I can’t wait to see what the future books in the Pierce Brothers series will bring as this is the first of several to come!!

Taking Flight is the 2nd book in the Code of Honor series by Brooke May. Although part of a series, each book can be read as a standalone. I had previously read the first book in this series and a couple of other books by the author so I had expectations of enjoying this book and I’m glad to say that I enjoyed it very much. Jody Meadows is the twin sister of country sensation Jilly Meadows and has lived I her shadows all of her life, always coming second to her sister. Now she’s had enough of being Jilly’s doormat and is looking for a way out. That way out comes in the form of airman Holt Preston who happens to be stationed in Germany when Jilly is on tour there. I really loved this story. I adored Jody and wanted to slap her twin sister Jilly on so many occasions. I honestly think that Jody must have the patience of a saint to put up with her theatrics. I also adored Holt. He’s sweet and charming and also rather hot! I love how he wanted the best for Jody and fought for her to better herself. I was hooked on this story from the very first page and was gripped to the story throughout, right up to the very end. I definitely recommend Taking Flight.
