Another wonderful installment in the Antipodes series. Cam, Lae, Freya and the rest of the groups under the domes return for more adventures. The characters are so well written that they could be your next door neighbors. The whole mystery of the antipodes fascinates me so the series has been attention keeping for me. The characters have also drawn you in because you find yourself trying to figure out who’s good and who’s bad? Amazing series! You really should give it a shot.

I really enjoyed this cosy romance. I loved the reference to Jane Austin and the connection the author makes. I really loved Eliza’s character. She is a determined lady and when she wants to solve something you can be sure she will solve it. Our story is based in the English countryside while men are gentlemen and ladies are supposed to act like ladies. Eliza travels there to visit her family and to find out just what happened between them and her father. However like most families there are the nice people and also the not so nice people and some are just plain crazy. When murders start to happen Eliza realises she needs to solve more than just the family history. This book is a fun Cozy Mystery which will have you laughing with a sprinkle of romance and a touch of danger this book is a captivating read.

This is the second book in the Antipodes Series and it was just as intriguing as the first book. The characters are well developed and the book is easy to read. The story keeps you hooked all the way through as you follow the journey of the characters as they adapt to their new way of life.
Cam has matured in this book and after hearing that someone he loves could still be alive he sets out to find them. The journey is challenging and makes him question things he knows and thinks about love and loyalty. The main question is if given the opportunity to redo life would you take the same course with the same mistakes or would you change your plans maybe for the better or maybe for the worst.
It’s a really thought provoking theme and set in time when the world is destroyed by a disease and only few people surviving its an interesting concept.

“The Mermaid and the Watery Magnifying Glass” was a cute story. Friends, Fig and Maia, are building a stone tower. They get some help from Maia’s mermaid friend, Trezzie. Fig shows them how to make a water magnifying glass to look at the stone Trezzie gave them. I love the characters in this story! Fig and Maia seem to have a close friendship, and Trezzie adds an element of imagination. I did not read the other books in this series, but still found this book enjoyable on its own. I recommend this story for elementary age children, especially children who love science.

‘Enemies of Doves’ is one of the best debut mystery/suspense that I have read. You can feel the power coming off of it. Told between two timelines, the plot so perfectly intertwines itself that the twists and turns just flow with it. This is an emotional story that will take your breath away. The story of two brothers and the girl they loved as told by the possible grandson of one of the brothers many years later. I was glued right from the start. The story is so well-developed that the author just naturally engages you with the characters. Joel and Clancy grab you from the start. You can’t put the book down because, like Garrison and Molly, you have to know what happened. This is a book so well-written that I hope there will be more from this author. I will be eagerly awaiting more. I am a new fan of hers. If you love suspense and mystery, you should read this one.

Holy Cow that is not what I expected at all. This is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I truly felt like I connected with the characters especially TJ. He loves big and I mean big he pretty much stole my heart from the beginning. This is a story about TJ and Kat and the journey they go on for love. Kat has had a lot of changes in a short time and is a single momto toby.Tj is an ex-football player. There may be some parts of the story that may be a trigger for some but if you can push through the story is worth it. The chemistry between these two is incredible and the love TJ has for Toby will melt your heart. Can Kat be the one who unlocks his heart? Can these three have a family like relationship? I don’t want to give to much away . This book is more than worth the read. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I love me a good, for lack of a better word, “smut” book. This was quite the opposite which I found rather refreshing. I’ve read some religious romance books before and they’re usually quite sweet but really dry in the romance department. Which isn’t a bad thing just not usually my thing but I like to give all books equal opportunity before I judge them. Boy am I glad I did. Amber Waves of Grace was very sweet but not too sweet. I like that there was several “Love stories” going on in the story. My favorite was between main characters Aaron & Corrie. I loved being able to see how they would get passed the past and the age difference. I loved the growth and healing that happened between the characters. There was some suspense and mystery that made the story more interesting. All in all a great story. I absolutely loved it!
Watcher is the first book in the Star-Crossed Celestials Duet by A.L Morrow. It takes ‘Romeo & Juliet’ and gives it a bit of a twist. This retelling comes with a MM paranormal romance and celestial spin which was definitely an extra element of interest for me. It’s full of fantasy, forbidden love, banter, humour, action, drama, celestials, demons, tension, and agendas. I don’t want to give too much away and spoil it for you, because if you love your retellings with some fantasy and a sexy twist- then you are definitely going to want to read this story for yourself. The story is set to continue in the next instalment…. Can’t wait! Bring on Book #2! Happy Reading!

Enemies of Doves was difficult for me to put down! I kept thinking of the characters and what would happen next. This wonderful character focused story has every element needed to keep the pages turning to see what happens next. A beautiful, emotional story arc comes full circle with an unexpected ending you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this exceptionally written book!

Kiss A Thief by Marina Hanna is a fun contemporary romance with an insta-love aspect to the story- as well as sizzling chemistry, steamy encounters, humour, tension, crime and investigation, a little mystery, trust issues, and angst. Billionaire Dylan Knight meets Mia Harris and the sparks fly right from the get-go. They can’t get the other off their mind and soon find themselves on the insta-love train to forever after. But are there hidden agendas at work? Was there an ulterior motive to their meeting? Is one being set up to take a fall? Because when theft occurs, they are both set to lose. I really liked Dylan and Mia, I thought they were really great together and I didn’t mind that they fell hard and fast. I connected with them easily and was invested in them and the outcome of their story right from the beginning. I have read a few of Ms. Hanna’s books now and have loved them- but unfortunately this one didn’t have the same effect on me as the others did. I really wanted to be wowed, like I was with the others, and I wanted to adore this book so badly, but ended up just a little disappointed. I felt that the beginning of the story was a little slow to get going… but then the last part felt rushed as threads were ‘tied up’ a little too quickly and conveniently. Things that were made quite an issue in the story suddenly didn’t seem to matter much anymore, or were brushed over/aside. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the story, but felt it wasn’t as ‘strong’ as some of her other books. This story also introduces us to the characters who will get their own books in the future- setting us up for at least two more books. I am looking forward to ‘Before You Say I Do’ (Liam and Emma’s story) and ‘My Crazy Heart’ (Zack and Melanie’s story). Happy Reading!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Antidotes is a fantastic read. This was a hard one to put down and I absolutely loved it. This is the first book in the Antipodes Series.
Cam doesn’t think things are gonna get bad. Then a virus hits the water and they can’t contain it. He then finds that he’s going to be in a group of handpicked people. They might be able to find the cure and how to contain it. The quote I chose for Cam is: “I guessed that, but what do they think we can do to help? We are half a world away. Are they looking for more lab technicians? It isn’t my field. Yours either, come to think of it. Electrical engineers rarely solve biological problems. Besides, why take my blood for that?”

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Someone Exactly Like Me is a great book. It’s also the first book in the Wounded Hearts Series. This book will have you hooked and it’ll be hard to put down.
Destiny is an indie author and is struggling. Writer’s Block can be a hassle and it can hit at any moment. Destiny’s thirtieth birthday is a big one. Her friend takes her out only to have her meet at the studio to pick an outfit. Once there she’s thrusted into the arms of her dream man. Can she let the wall around her heart down? Can they make it work? The quote I chose for Destiny is: “Okay, I admit it.” I hold my hand up in defense. “For a second, in my drunken head, I thought he was going to kiss me. I mean, his gorgeous face was inches from mine and his lips were right there. I’ve had dreams about a hot moment like that. I think I stopped breathing. Then I realized, of course, that he was doing that polite Italian kiss-on-the-cheek thing. How do you not end up sleeping with these extremely hot men you’re surrounded by all the time?”

A Romeo and Juliet story that has angels and demons AND promises a happily ever after?! I cannot wait to see how this story goes… Jace sounds like mister all powerful, mysterious in his pain and struggle.. but to see him go on the defense of those being hunted is amazing.
I love how strong and protective a character Jace is with whoever he’s around. Even when he’s with his lovers, he tries to distract them from their pain and help them. Genuinely wants to do better for them than those who came before.
Cyrus is just brilliant, smart, and intelligent. He has that way about him. Everyone loves being around him, and when he and Jace meet they are amazing together.
Like any good romance novel, there’s just the right amount of drama, charm, and action to keep me going. I definitely love this book, and I look forward to the next!

Kiss A Thief is told in alternating perspectives between the two main characters. First, there is Mia Harris who works as a curator for her boss, Charlies, in an art gallery that is located in a suburb of London. At an exhibition Mia meets Dylan Knight who is a billionaire. The two quickly develop an intense connection to each other that has plenty of hot/spicy scenes. Along the way the reader is also introduced to Emma, who is a friend of Mia’s that works as a bartender. There is also the business partner of Dylan’s whose name is Liam. Who is the thief? That’s the mystery you have to read to discover! Find out if Mia and Dylan’s relationship will survive the questions. I couldn’t put this down until I found out!

What an incredibly well written novel! I was tangled in the mystery this story held. I couldn’t have put this book down even if I wanted to. This book flowed easily and held the perfect amount of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat until the end! I got completely and utterly lost to this book and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from it! Family secrets, deception, envy, and jealousy all wrapped into a young mans search for a place to belong and a family seemingly lost in the wind. I couldn’t recommend enough!!

This is book one of this Sci-Fi series and exceeded my expectations on all fronts!
Catherine Greenall does a tremendous job w/ the creation and building of the intriguing multi-faceted characters within this book. I love a great dystopian twist and the dramatic build up had me on the edge of my seat. Normally I would hate to read a book with a cliffhanger, but I’m convinced that book number two will be even better than the first.
I think the author’s scientific background enhances her ability to create an extremely convincing scientific plot within this story. Science and greed pits society against those who have a bit too much power, and it has all gone straight to their heads. The main character, Calum works for the Dept of Food and Environment as a scientist, testing the safety of food related technology. He begins to investigate strange happenings that he believes has a scientific reason behind them. Soon, he finds the world in a full-blown epidemic that quickly overwhelms the world. Calum believes he may have uncovered the truth and soon takes those immune to the questionable contagions under his wing to embark on one heck of an adventure.
This is a quick paced read and was entertaining from page one.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. If I could give this a higher “grade”, I would.
I think folks will enjoy this read and find themselves engrossed in a new series!

Humans being who they are drama and problems are never far away. follow one man through his journey in this community with drama, finding love, loss and a giant shock and revelations of secrets being kept from everyone. I can’t wait to read the next one!

EmVee has just moved to a new town with her parents where they have opened a new business and they all have a passion for boxing and EmVee herself has a dream to go semi-pro with it and although this new place is small, she is hoping that she can still achieve that dream. So when she heads to school for her first day, all she can think of is that all the jocks are drop dead gorgeous and the cheerleaders are stunningly beautiful, but they are also quite strange, not to mention the other pupils there as well, who are also a bit unusual, but as soon as she arrives, she is befriended by two of the jocks, Kayson and Silas.
As she settles into a new routine and making new friends, she notices that things are a bit off and starts to worry that her parents have gotten in a bit over their heads and EmVee starts to suspect that things are not what they seem and she decides to investigate, but will she and her friends be able to solve the mystery before things go from bad to worse and the danger becomes too much? This is a fantastic prequel which gets you hooked into the mystery and the characters in the series in the best possible way and leaves you wanting more.

I’m not sure how I felt about this story. I enjoy period pieces while watching movies, so I figured I would give a book a try. Love in the Roses was a sweet romance. One that you can tell by reading that the author put a lot of thought and research into. Getting the language and the dialect of the time, to setting a premise taking the reader back to that time. As if they were living during that time. Isabel, is now of age to be married off. Her family is well off but in those times it was about strengthening your place in society. Picking the right husband and family is the best way to complete that task. Sir William, a knight, who has been given that right to prove himself worthy. Not only to himself and his new betrothed but to family as well. Raised to become a night since he was 7, he knows what it takes to defend one’s honor and country. But does he know how to love and run a home? This story is about their adventure together learning and growing together and showing the community who they are. It’s a well written period piece and though this particular one wasn’t my thing it’s definitely worth the read. Especially if you enjoy period pieces.

Tale of the body Thief is book 1 in the Rovena Silvex Series. This is the first book that i have read by this Author, This is also not my go to Normal read but I’m so happy i gave this book a chance. Tale of the body thief had me sucked in right from the begging. Rovena is a tough and strong lady i really enjoyed reading about her and look forward to reading more in the next book of this series. The only problem i have with this book is that book two is not out yet :). I Seriously cannot wait to read more about Rovena and her journey. I highly recommend this book and think you should give it a chance even if it takes you out of your comfort zone it will be worth it. Thanks to this author for a great read and i look forward to reading more books by you in the future.

Antipodes is a YA Dystopian novel about a young man named Cam Mackintosh who is chosen to help build a new community on an Australian island after an outbreak threatens to destroy the planet. This book has amazing world-building and a well-written plot. I enjoyed the way the characters were written and it was wonderful seeing if the characters would make the same mistakes that were made in the past or would they learn from the mistakes made before them. I really liked Cam and could not put this book down. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Leo is a young man who has supernatural talents, he is a mercenary and is known as “the Blood Prince” because of the colour of blood which sweeps into his eyes whenever he has to complete a job, or fight an adversary who has taken a dislike to him. It is because his skills as a fighter and executioner combined give him an edge over the competition that he is the right hand man of one of the crime lords in the city he lives in, but this is also the reason he has to keep in the shadows. In the country of Tominay, it is forbidden to have blood eyes and if you are caught, you face certain death, but this has been a way of life for Leo for so long, it has now become his normality and Lady Death is never far away.
As a youth, he participated in underground fights in illegal arenas so that he could put food on the table for his siblings, now he continues this while protecting them from external forces who would do them harm and he would protect them with his life if he had to and this becomes even more important when his younger brother shows signs of following in his paranormal path. Leo is heading out for his next job when his boss approaches him and informs him that he knows what powers his brother has shown and that he wants him to join his mercenaries, this is something which Leo has always been scared of, so albeit he agrees to the deal, he has no intention of following through and as soon as he gets home he instructs his siblings to pack a bag each and ready to leave as soon as they can so that they can escape into the night.
As the siblings flee their home, they try and journey to the land of their ancestors, but it is a long and dangerous road for them, especially when past and present collide to bring more trials and tribulations to the family as they risk discovery and slaughter, but will they find the happy ending they are looking for, or will they only find more pain and hardship? This is a tale full of fantasy, danger, secrets, lies, truths and family where nothing is as it seems and there are twists and turns throughout, in this race for survival in a land fraught with obstacles, which will leave you breathless as if you are racing with them.

The Letter Carrier is a historical fiction novel about a young lady named Michelle Naget that lives in France during World War II while their country and home are invaded by Nazi’s. This is a touching and informative coming-of-age story. Reading about Michelle’s unwavering hope for better times and strong faith in God is inspirational. The faith of the Naget family was definitely rewarded. Reading about the hardships of living in an occupied country during World War II was heartbreaking. There was a lot to be learned regarding the experiences of these people.

This book was intoxicating! I could not put it down… This slow burn REALLY kept the longing going, and held twists and turns to keep me intrigued. So much adventure, friendship, growth, and love! My heart ached for many of the characters… only wanting all of the happiness they deserved and dreams they had to come true. This was my first read of Debbie Cromack’s work, and now I am hooked! Her writing was addictive and drew me in deeper with every chapter. Emotions were woven into every word that the characters spoke to each other, as well as in their private thoughts. And let me tell you… things got STEAMY! I cannot wait to continue on with the Wounded Hearts series.

This is the third book in this series and each book just keeps getting better. I love seeing the growth of the characters. The world building was fantastic. I enjoyed the Norse mythology intertwined with fiction. I can’t wait to read the next book.
