Antipodes is book one in the Antipodes series. This is the first book that i have read by this author. Antipodes is Dystopian romance read. This Read is really amazing and really well written and everyone should give this book a chance i don’t think you will be disappointed. I found myself engrossed in this read. I enjoyed reading about Cam and really felt for him, I seriously can not wait to read the rest of the books in this series. This author hit it out of the park again with Murder in the Lightning Room. Yes I’ve read this author before and they’re becoming one of my favorites. I’ve yet to be disappointed, confused sometimes but never disappointed. I was apprehensive about reading this, the familiarity with the author made my decision. A fictional story created that includes very real people and places of that time. Nikola Tesla was always on the move, from Thomas Edison’s people. I feel like this book was no exception as it definitely lent hints toward that. Cora, an interesting educated young female in a time that was frowned upon. Who has a flare for science. Determined to not get tied down and head to university her teacher gives her a potential break of her lifetime. A chance to be Tesla’s assistant. Little did she know that would lead her on a mission to find missing paperwork and a murderer. Harrison Byrne, also works for Tesla as an errand boy, but he seems to fancy Miss Cora Croft. He’s there when Cora declares to Tesla to give her a week to figure out what is going on. He vows to not let her go about it alone. They set out on an adventure that could possibly change their lives. I thought I had it figured out the whole time. Well I had most of it, a slight twist at the end surprised me. I wasn’t expecting it. If you like twists this book is for you!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and the amount of work she’s put into it is phenomenal. While I was hoping for a bit more action, a bit of a better romance (no hate, still a good book), I thought the book was a little but flat for my tastes, but still incredibly well done. She put in so much research and time, it was akin to almost being there and experiencing life with Isabel. Her writing style isn’t something I’d probably read again unless I was in the mood for it (kinda like Jane Austen) but once again, it was so well done. Great job!

I really enjoyed this story about revenge. It was a quick read for me. There were some intense points in this book that I honestly wasn’t expecting. It definitely holds your interest and holds merit as a psychological thriller. I’m not usually a fan of multiple character woven throughout but this was well done.

This is an easy to read YA fantasy that has an interesting plot. Personally, I think that this book would be best read in order however it can be read as a standalone. This felt like it was quite a slow build storyline, developing the characters and the plot throughout the whole story. I didn’t realise how engaged with it all I had become until I found myself not able to stop reading. I think this series is perfect for the age range it is aimed at but also holds appeal to those beyond that. The author is doing a brilliant job of creating a lasting series and I am really looking forward to the next book.

This story is labeled as book 3.5 in the series. The overall story can be read as a standalone, but you’d probably relate to the characters better if you’ve read the previous books. This story ends in a cliffhanger as a lead into the next book.
Overall, I liked the idea of the story, but it felt like the main character was a bit slow to pick up on the clues around him. He knew something was up, but it seemed like it took him too long to start putting things together. The most interesting things happened toward the end of the book.

Wow this Thriller is an amazing. I was so totally gripped from the beginning. There are so many secrets and lies in this book that when they are all revealed I was really shocked and surprised. The author does an amazing job with her characters making them come alive. The character I really felt for and ended up loving is Rosalie Giordano. She is such a strong and determined character. I could feel every ounce of her anger and betrayal and in turn her need for vengence.
Rosalie used to be a dancer. After her hard upbringing she was rescued by her husband. However when she was struck down with an illness then left her in a paralysed state things in their perfect marriage goes wrong. Unable to move or speak all Rosalie could do was watch. Her husband thinks she has no chance of recovering so he turned to his therapist. Rosalie starts to feel there is more to their relationship that a professional patient/client relationship so when she starts to get movement back she keeps this to herself and starts to plot her revenge against husband who betrayed her when she was at her weakest.
However she isn’t the only person out for revenge against her husband and as the story unfolds there are more secrets and betrayals that we find out about. This is one thrilling ride which won’t let you go.

I can never get enough of this gifted author. They have such a talent for the writing they do, as well as the plot and characters that they create! Every book is a adventure that is a wonderful read!
I loved this one for various reasons. Hot guy? Check. Fast cars? Check. Hot guy on a journey like no other? Very much check! Reece was a great character, I loved how he was written and his character development. For me the world he discovers really made this book for me. He learned a lot, as well as questioned a ton. Everything that happens in the plot leads to something else. There was a special magic looming, and don’t get me started on the epicenes of the sword that had to deal with Reece ! The story was very unpredictable and was a fun adventure which I very much loved reading! Loved this one!
Once again a very much wonderful delight of a treat by a wonderful author I very much enjoy. I could not put this one down, it held me with a tight grip! Very much a high recommendation and a must read!

The Secret Cure is a gripping thriller by JD Spero, I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book from reading the description, but I was pleasantly surprised. The story switches between the 4 main characters Rosalie, Vincent, Anastasia and Cate. I think seeing things from each of the different perspectives really adds a different dimension to this book. I found it to be a compelling read and finished it in one day as I couldn’t put it down. The story had lots of twists that I wasn’t expecting and really enjoyed. Will definitely be looking out for other books by this author.

The Secret Cure by JD Spero is a gripping and intriguing story. Rosalie Giordano has the perfect life with her Prince Charming husband. At least that’s what she thinks until she finds out that while she’s been fighting a paralyzing virus, he has been having an affair. How will she get her revenge? This book is filled with twists and will leave you guessing. The characters are complex and you see how the story unfolds for each of them. Rosalie was a protagonist that I wanted to see succeed and felt so much empathy for. This was a page-turner. I really enjoyed this story.

Distant Memories is the second in the series. Can be read as a stand alone but the first book Distant Heart Sounds adds so much background to what happens in this second book. Morgan is still struggling with adjusting to her new psychic ability of seeing ghosts when she learns there are also evil spirits afoot. Esmerelda is a seductive spirit who wants Caleb for her own and goes to some extreme lengths to chase Morgan off. When Esmerelda becomes destructive, Caleb and Morgan reach out for help to lay her spirit to rest. I love these quick reads with these great characters. Great book!

I was hooked from page one by this gripping psychological thriller, which was full of drama and suspense. Both the characters and the settings came alive through the descriptive narrative. I liked how each of the main characters point of view was told, making me feel engaged with each of them. The storyline flowed well, and the sense of unease built chapter by chapter, and the plot twists kept me guessing as to the ending. I definitely recommend this novel.

Have you ever picked up a book, fallen in love with the characters and then wished it would never end? This was me with Finding Starlight. I knew from the second I started it, I was going to enjoy this book. I am a sucker for a well written book that takes place in a small town. And I knew this book was going to deliver on that front. What I didn’t expect or anticipate was the suspenseful journey that was going to accompany this small town novel. I found myself up late finishing this book. I am absolutely thrilled with the storyline and am glad to see that it is the first in a series. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series as it comes out. This book will appeal to anyone who loves romance or suspense. I cannot recommend it enough!

If you like a slow burn romance then this is the book for you. I had never read any of this author’s work but the blurb described a book that sounded just like the type I’d enjoy… and I did, very much. When you’ve been having sordid fantasies about the hot actor in a new erotic film the last thing you imagine is meeting him at your photographer friend’s photoshoot and starting up a great friendship with him. That’s exactly what happens to Destiny when she visit’s her friend’s photo studio and meets new acting sensation Niccolo (Nicco). I adored Destiny and Nicco’s story. It’s a real sloooow burn but so good. I love how they become such good friends before finally taking their relationship further. They learn so much about each other and so much about themselves as people. The characters are very well written and are very relatable and I really enjoyed reading about them. The story flows very well and has enough action to keep the reader entertained and wanting to turn to the next page to see what happens next. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

The Lie that Binds by Amy Argent was honestly so good. At first I won’t lie it took me a few chapters to be okay with a high school romance because of the age and things that happened but the characters were easily likable. It also totally made me think of my own high school love. Holly is the new girl in town and tries to fit in with the popular kids but it doesn’t go as planned. Nathan IS the popular kid, the jerk because he has to be, because he has secret to hide from basically everyone in his life. But Holly finds out by mistake… and Nathan is forced to make a huge decision. Let her tell the school or pretend to like her to keep her quiet. I loved the story line, it was different, quick and easy to read. It was a perfect story with the natural ebb and flow of young love. I’d love to read about Holly and Nathan’s friends, most especially the Gothlet – which I cracked up at every single time!!

This is the fourth book in the series. This book, as with the others in the series, can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Skylar’s story.
Skylar recently had a baby. She’s been on her own taking care of Gabriella but feels bad about shutting her sisters out so she travels to spend the rest of her maternity leave with them. She’s kept Gabriella’s father a secret this whole time. Running the summer camp with her sisters sounds just like what Skylar needs as she tries to maneuver motherhood. Nick runs a bowling alley and couldn’t be more thrilled to see Skylar walk in. He hasn’t seen her since they hooked up about a year ago. Skylar and Nick reconnecting brings up secrets from the past. Can these two face the challenges that will come their way?
Skylar is so independent and strong. She knows what she wants and she’ll figure out how to get it. I also enjoyed that in this book, Skylar is the one in the military. Guys are always portrayed as military so it was a nice change. Nick has his flaws, but doesn’t everyone. I really enjoyed these characters. The story was well written and the characters were genuine.

Let It Be Love is a small-town contemporary romance story. ND is known to give us wonderful, sweet and captivating reads and this new book fits right in. Her easy-to-read stories feel real with their simplistic narrative. Wonderful and fun past and present characters and the fellowship of a supporting quaint little town endear this book to anyone.
Eric and Kiki’s love story has a lot going against them but the heart wants what the heart wants. He is a small-town man and she is a pop princess.
ND certainly puts them through the wringer as they try to wade through the mountainous pile of trying to have a relationship out of the spot light.
BUT will love win out or will fame, gossip, a crazy agent and paparazzi prove to be too much?
I really enjoy her work and I look forward to more from ND. Grab a copy and indulge in a few hours of self-time.

The Secret Cure is a psychological thriller with twists. It is not a young adult thriller which is this author’s usual fare. This story is aimed at an older audience and is full of action and suspense, intrigue and a touch of mystery. Add in revenge and vola tensions fly.
It is told in multiple POV’s, which I love, giving you an insight into what the characters are thinking, who they are and gives the story so much more depth. There are also layers of secrets, truths waiting to be told and mysteries to unravel. The tension and raw emotions throughout are palpable and urge the reader to keep turning page after page.
Lying in wait lies and secrets bring her to boiling point. It turns out she is not the only one out for revenge.

Sword of Darkness is an intriguing YA fantasy story. It is a fast-paced quick read. As I have said before I would have liked to see the story be a bit longer. It has taken me awhile to get fully immersed into the series but I have finally got there. With each book the characters and their stories have grown on me. There is mythology and mystery, danger and supernatural/paranormal beings, magic and secrets, love and betrayal and so much more that I am sure that any YA fantasy lover will enjoy.
This is Reece’s journey. He loves the thrill of adventure, the rush of adrenaline, the thrill of the chase, the thrill of fast cars. Unfortunately, he may have just gotten involved in the wrong race.

Sword of Darkness is Book #3.5 in the Vigilant series by L.M Preston. It is another YA fantasy with mystery, danger, investigation, the supernatural, dramatic developments, friendship, family, racing, fate, and more. This is fast-paced which makes it a fairly quick and easy read. This builds on the story/s from the other book- this time we get Reece’s part in the overall adventure. I like that it adds to what we already know- and helps to build on the bigger ‘picture’ being painted. #colourmeintrigued I find that I am settling into this series now, and am invested in the characters and the story. The series has definitely gotten better as it unfolds. Bring on the next book! Happy Reading!

This story had everything my heart needed. I absolutely loved how rugged, tense, and hard Levi was and loved even more the other side you got to see of him. This author did a brilliant job of showing you just a hint of PTSD. She kept it light but it was also so powerful that it had tears streaming down my face.
Bella comes off as a rich, posh, snobby woman who you soon learn is good at living with a façade. Her interactions with Allie will melt your heart and give you a glimpse of who she really is.
Elijah and Amos add to the fun. I fully enjoyed watching the three brothers interaction and could see how it related to so many other sibling relationships. I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit which just made this book even more enjoyable.
This book had so much romance in all the right places as well as action and suspense. The author did a brilliant job of writing a clean romance book with a suspense twist. The story I would classify as both a cowboy/western clean romance and a clean romantic suspense story. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and I was not let down by my first Edith Mackenzie book that I’ve ever read. This author reminds me a lot of Bernadette Marie and Jill Sanders which is saying a lot. I highly recommend that you run out and pick up this book as you will not be disappointed at all.

5 Stars The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass (Mermaid Science Series) by Lois Wickstrom
The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass is a fun yet educational children’s book that I absolutely loved reading. My four year old son loves books and this author especially he says he learns so much from the Mermaid. We’ve read this book several times already and it is definitely going on our re-read list. Maia,Fig and Trezzie are back and this time we are going on another Science adventure where we learn how to make a magnifying glass with a drop of water. I highly recommend reading book to find out if you really can make a magnifying glass with a drop of water ? My son and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I loved the level of detail in this book! Antipodes is a post-apocalyptic novel about a select group of people who have been isolated from the effects of a global pandemic that threatens to eliminate life on Earth. The main character, Cam, struggles with how he fits into society and all of the differences in living under the dome. You can tell that Simons put a lot of thought into making sure that all of the readers’ questions would be answered because this novel has a phenomenal amount of world building. This story set up the sequel in a way that made me want to pick it up right away!

Again, this book did not disappoint. Nurse Morgan is a lovable character as are her ghostly live in roommates. This 2nd book to the series began where the first book left off. Nurse Morgan continues to get more used to her new psychic abilities. She meets some new ghostly figures at the hospital and encounters a mean Esmeralda! Esmeralda proves to be a foe who wants Dr. Caleb – who Nurse Morgan is starting to enjoy time with. Even the Wilkersons do not like Esmeralda’s presence. I loved reading book two to find out how Nurse Morgan’s character grew and how her friendships with both the living and the otherworldly progressed. I enjoyed the historical spin on the nurses in the hospital and finding out about how there can be a time warp where the ghosts can just live in an endless loop.
