Murder in the Lightning RoomMurder in the Lightning Room by A.D. Brazeau
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This author hit it out of the park again with Murder in the Lightning Room. Yes I’ve read this author before and they’re becoming one of my favorites. I’ve yet to be disappointed, confused sometimes but never disappointed. I was apprehensive about reading this, the familiarity with the author made my decision.
A fictional story created that includes very real people and places of that time. Nikola Tesla was always on the move, from Thomas Edison’s people. I feel like this book was no exception as it definitely lent hints toward that.
Cora, an interesting educated young female in a time that was frowned upon. Who has a flare for science. Determined to not get tied down and head to university her teacher gives her a potential break of her lifetime. A chance to be Tesla’s assistant. Little did she know that would lead her on a mission to find missing paperwork and a murderer. Harrison Byrne, also works for Tesla as an errand boy, but he seems to fancy Miss Cora Croft. He’s there when Cora declares to Tesla to give her a week to figure out what is going on. He vows to not let her go about it alone. They set out on an adventure that could possibly change their lives.
I thought I had it figured out the whole time. Well I had most of it, a slight twist at the end surprised me. I wasn’t expecting it. If you like twists this book is for you!
