The art and story in this book are just adorable. Mouse is so cute with the little bandaids after the flying attempt. I love that mouse is trying to get to the moon to get cheese because, honestly what kid doesn’t think the moon is made of cheese growing up?! All the animals pitch in and help get parts for the craft. I chuckled in the end when bird and mouse both realize they need to make a rocket.

This book had chapters but was also broken into places, dates, and times. The beginning was a little confusing with so many flashbacks during different times and places, but once I got in a bit then it really started flowing and was easier. I really liked the story between Jessie and Cam. They have known each other their entire lives and when Jessie turned 14, Cam finally saw her as a girl and started to have feelings for her. They saw each other off and on between her going to Boston to skate and him going to college (he was two years older than her). Then when they were supposed to meet one night Jessie disappeared and Cam didn’t know why. It is two years later and she is in town for her friend’s wedding. Cam is seeing someone else but Jessie is the one he feels he is supposed to be with. Then the book turns into a mystery that needs to be solved. Why did Jessie leave? Who was behind the letters and photos that she received? Why is she still getting threatening messages to stay away from Cam and leave town? The group of friends work together to solve the case so Jessie and Cam can finally be together! It was a great romance story with some mystery written in too and I really enjoyed the small town too. It says this is book 1 of 15 so I will have to keep reading the series to get to know what happens to the other characters.

I read this book to my grandson. He enjoyed it. I enjoyed the storyline as it made him ponder why Dinopotamus’ spot was a big warm spot and the other kids had smaller spots. It was a cute quick read before bedtime. The illustrations are great. Another great Dinopotamus book to add to your collection.
It’s a really cute story focused on finding out how the warm spots are made by Dinopotamus. It’s an entertaining story to read as they look to solve the mystery so everyone can have a warm spot. The illustrations are colorful and engaging. It’s a quick story that young ones will love.
I loved this story. Jude and Elijah are both dealing with relationship issues and happen to meet because they are neighbors. Thanks to Elijah’s sweet baby boy, they become friends and more. Life brings them challenges and obstacles, which they solve together. They end up saving each other in the end. It’s a beautiful story of love and friendship. It all blends so well together. I love how well the author brought it together so that it just flowed so smooth.
Super cute book! There’s a dino in the classroom and he’s very protective of the students. Follow along as he tries to solve a mystery and keep the kids warm!

Short and sweet. It’s one of my favorite things about Naomi’s stories. They are full of detail but very short reads. I know I say it in every review but it’s the truth. This story was pretty cool. It was a M/M romance, it was a clean story unlike many others I have read of hers but I like that it was clean. Sometimes you want the storyline without the graphic detail. I would definitely read a continuation if there is one.

Kimberley Packard’s This Time Around follows forty-seven year old Josie in the midst of a divorce, and the potential loss of her company looming in the distance. Then suddenly she’s seventeen again and faced with two options; to make the same choices she made the first time around, or to fix what she deems her mistakes. It’s a bit like Look Both Ways, or a reverse 13 Going On 30. I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary figurative language, and it could come across as a little misogynistic at times, but I got really hooked into the story and cried at the ending. Her relationship with the boys, her relationship with the girls, her relationship with her parents and ex-husband and children, her reunion with Daniel, it was perfect. I recommend this book because it really makes you think about life and is genuinely inspirational. I already believed this, but it reaffirmed that you shouldn’t regret any of the decisions you make as they all lead up to where you are now, where you’re meant to be. ‘I keep to myself that a decision only looks like a mistake in close proximity. When scar tissue grows around that mistake, one starts to realize something beautiful took root.’

Chamberlain and KC are from two different worlds, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and these two have quite a journey ahead of them. As expected, Ms. May wrung my emotions dry- writing an engaging story that I was invested in right from the get-go. As Chamberlain and KC’s story continues in the next instalment, I have already devoured Book #2, because I needed to know what happened. Now on to Book #3. It’s strange to start this book in the midst of the chaos our country is currently in. It seems to be hitting a little close to reality, but I digress. Secrets, Lies, and Betrayal is an interesting story about a girl’s existence after her grandfather was assassinated with her in his arms. The author puts together an intriguing story about her trials and tribulations as she maneuvers through life. Lea is essentially hiding out in the open. Her identity has changed but she’s still attempting to live life. Living in different places throughout Europe till she finds what she wants. What she wants to do. What she wants out of life. First landed her in Paris, but not long into that journey she fell in love with Rome. A life worth living. A life that makes her happy. A man in her life that leaves her smiling. All of which is about to get derailed when her father announces he’s running for the Presidency. Gabriel was going through life the best he knew how. As long as he didn’t make the same mistakes as his father he knew he was golden. He never expected to meet a girl who was going to turn his life upside down. Lea literally/figuratively crashed into his life. A chance meeting with a promise of more. Realizing they moved through some of the same social circles that got to know one another. He wants more. She insists it’s only a fling? He wants her to give them a chance. All the while dealing with the fall out of her father’s political persona. What does it all mean for Lea? This book is very cute. The meeting between Drew and Katie is hysterical and had me laughing for the first chapter of this Novella. This is a spinoff of the Playmakers series (which I have not read and now must go read). I was not lost or in any way confused about the storyline and the characters. This book was a quick, cute and funny read and I will definitely be going to get the rest of the series.

Let me start by saying, “Wow!” I did not know what I was getting myself into by reading Secrets, Lies, and Betrayals. Book 1 of the Protect and Honor Series by Lynn Wood is an amazing political thriller that I simply couldn’t put down. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. In light of the current political situation in the US, this book is chilling. There is so much going on in this book; suspense drama, danger, romance, secrets, and much, much more! Lynn Wood weaves an intricately chilling tale of conspiracy theories, political extremists, assassinations, and secret identities. The characters are all realistic and believable, although my modest lifestyle reeled at the thought of the many private jets, stunning homes and palaces, and security measures being utilized throughout the book. Michaela’s journey and growth throughout the book, despite the obstacles, heartbreak, and opposition intent on keeping her down, was truly inspirational. The story is so well-written and imaginative that I could picture myself at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, overlooking the ocean in California, or listening to the gentle waves in Cape Cod. This was my first time reading a book by Lynn Wood but it will certainly not be the last!

Love Rinkside is the first I’ve read in this series, The Playmakers, but I loved it, so I’m sure I’ll go back and read others. This book is a perfect rom-com story. The beginning is hilarious and the laughs kept coming. Both Drew and Katie were wonderfully written and likeable. The supporting characters are well developed and give a preview of the other books. The ending was perfect, it was both funny and sweet. I like how the author built their lovable dogs into the story.

Raccoon Reunion is a cute story that addresses the fear of meeting new people. My son was a little thrown off by the family of humans in the beginning, since the rest of the story focuses on the raccoon family. But overall, we liked the story. I like how the young raccoons pair up at the end, but wish they would have done it during the 3 legged race so they had more time to bond. The pictures are super adorable and colorful. Now my son wants to plan a family reunion for our family.

Love Rinkside: A Spicy Hidden Identity Hockey Romance Novella (The Playmakers Series)
If you’re looking for an entertaining book to distract you on your commute or whenever you listen to books I suggest you get this one.
Katie and Drew’s initial meeting had me giggling at first then the picture of what was described had me laughing out loud. Their story was a cute one and I throughly enjoyed listening to it to get me through my work day.
The narrators Ryan Lee Dunlap and Shiloh James did a great job bringing Katie and Drew’s story to life. This was the first time listening to either one of them but will definitely look for more book they narrate.
This was not my introduction to Ms. Brady or this series and this is not the last time I will be reading her

Gold I was not disappointed and will look for more to read by authors with stories in the anthology. The stories took me away from my day-to-day stressors and took me into different times and spaces. I especially enjoyed the stories from Danielle Ackley-McPhail, Rachel A. Brune, and James Chambers. All of the stories flowed from one to next easily with links in themes and stories.
Orange Forest Rabbit by Lois Wickstrom and Lucrecia Darling. Lois Wickstrom is my favorite children’s author so I knew I would love this book but wow it was sooo good. You actually get 3 mysteries in one book. My 11 year old nephew truly enjoyed it as much as I did. It all begins with strange happenings on Jennifer and Gregory’s rabbit farm. There is the Mystery of the Missing Meteor Fields Carrots, The Mystery of the Haunted Amusement Park and The Clue in the Airwhale Art. You and your young one can work thru each of these mysteries and try to solve them yourselves. There is fun, family, teamwork and spies. This book is geared toward ages 9-11 and they are so fun. This would make a great gift for the young one in your life. Such great lessons and pictures!
A must-read for children of all ages, this book boasts a great storyline, endearing characters, and a well-built world that will transport young readers on an exciting journey. Additionally, it teaches valuable lessons about the significance of community, family, and business in a way that’s both fun and memorable.

y children and I (especially my 7 year old) love reading Lois Wickstrom books together and I was really excited to find this chapter book. I liked that it was comprised of three different stories with cute, enjoyable characters. I do wish there was a picture here or there even as a chapter book. I have one young reader and a lover of graphic novels so that would be a fun addition. The kids and I looked forward to reading these little mysteries before bed each evening. Another win from this author!
“Absurd, said Bird” is a delightful and imaginative children’s book that will captivate young readers with its whimsical tale of dreams, determination, and adventure. Are you like me always searching for the one thing that will change your life after a lifetime of being overweight? Well then Kristens approach is a way to go. I have not put it into practice, but her book takes a look at the whole being instead of just the food aspect of weight loss. Its not a magical pill you can take or snap your fingers and you are thin as we would all like, but it does have a methodical look into the struggles of everyday life and the choices that have caused stumbling blocks for most of us. The End of Try Try Again is about health, food, mind, body, exercise and more. You never know this could be the breakthrough for you so give it a try.

4.5 stars “Absurd,” Said Bird is a beautiful picture book for children. The wonderful rich and vibrant illustrations are by the talented Ginger Nielson. This easy-to-read children’s book is for 3 – 8-year-olds and is quite the adventure but it also has a message. A message to pursue your dreams and persevere to make them come true. The cute story is filled with animals of all types found within a farm setting with wonderful friends and their eagerness to help a friend fulfill his dreams. My 7 year old and 4 year old grandsons loved it.

This book is full of bright colourful pictures that I am sure the little ones will love. Mouse is determined to fly to the moon to get some cheese. He tells the other farm animals if they help him build a plane he will bring them each back some cheese. All the animals think it is a clever idea, well except for bird. Bird thinks it is an absurd idea to build a plane. All the other animals help build the plane, take off does not go well for mouse at all. Bird swoops down to rescue mouse and tells him it is an absurd idea to build a plane to fly to the moon. Bird tells mouse he needs a rocket. Mouse thinks this is a clever idea and all the animals scramble for parts to build the rocket. For Bird this is not an absurd idea and leads the way to collect what they need to build their rocket.

What an entertaining book. For the week I had, this book made it so much better. I love a good romance that I can dive in that’s full of humor, romance, and fantastic characters. Right from the start, the story engages you. As a mama, I thought I was going to fall off my chair chuckling at the beginning. I haven’t read any of this author’s books before but I am going to need some more. You come away with a smile from this one.

However, while Mouse and the other farm animals are gathering supplies to build a plane Bird is telling them that the plan is “Absurd” but Mouse won’t listen. What happens when Mouse tries to fly the plane to the moon? Can you still be a supportive friend even if you don’t think all of your friends plans are perfect? Find out in this fantastic picture book. The illustrations in this book are out-of-this-world as well. I love the bright colors and the simple drawings.

The Music That Ties Us is part of the Love Ties Us series by Nicolette Terry, I have never read a book by this author before, but I will be keeping an eye out for more. I really enjoyed everything about this book, it got me mad which is a good thing. The story follows Cadence who finds herself in an unfulfilling relationship with a who is stifling her, when Cadence goes to a concert with her sister Jade, she does not expect to have an instant connection with the smouldering lead singer of the band. Damien is not in the market for a relationship, especially one with a woman who is already taken, he has been burned before and has learned his lesson however, he cannot deny the attraction he feels. This was a really enjoyable book, I got so mad at Elijah and the way he treated Cadence that I was practically shouting at my Kindle. I really wish this book had included him getting his comeuppance rather than seemingly being able to walk away without consequence, but hopefully, future books will revisit some of these storylines. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series.
