This is another amazing shifter romance by Ms. Pulkinen. It is part four in the Crescent City Wolf Pack Series but you can read it as a stand-alone. The story is filled with love, death and voodoo. Odette Allemand is a voodoo practitioner who’s Met Tet is the god of death. Unfortunately she’s been on his bad side for the past few years. She’s stuck in a cycle of rebirth and violent death and vows to never fall in love again. James walks into her life and throws a wrench in her plans. Now she must beg forgiveness from the god of death if she wants to survive this life.
This is a story that will hook you in from the start and not let you go until the end. With mystery, danger and suspense, you will not be able to read fast enough to see what happens. I loved the book and found it to be original and engaging. I hope there will be a part five.

I have read all of the books in this series and it makes me soooo happy that each new book is just as good if not better than the last. Each male main character has faults and flaws that make him realistic and relatable. Sawyer is no exception. He is a gentleman to a lady in a position of extreme vulnerability. Juliette basically has a fresh start to reinvent herself but it came at an enormous cost. But has that cost been fully paid? Strap in and find out. But don’t forget your helmet, kids. Shattered Melody by Amy McKinley is a book that will captivate you entirely within the first few pages and won’t let go until the end. Amy McKinley has quickly become one of my must read authors and this book is the perfect example of why. Emma and Reese are such brilliant characters that are the perfect complement to each other. I went in to this book expecting it to go in one direction only to find the author had a whole different story planned out for these two, which was great. The book was fast paced and kept me interested the whole way through. I would have loved for it to be longer because I enjoyed reading about these characters and their story so much. You should definitely do yourself a favour and pick this book up today!
Steele Resolve what a book! I must say this wasn’t the usual genre of book I read but due to it being a Hawke Family book, I couldn’t miss the chance of reading Gwyn McNamee’s work again! It was bittersweet reading this book as it’s the last but I’m excited to see what other amazing things this author brings. This book should only really be read as part of a series, for the full story to make sense, and to fully understand every story surrounding the Hawke family.
With that being said, Steele Resolve was written amazingly with some incredible characters. Luca & Byron have undeniable strong chemistry but is it meant to be? They face some major ups and downs that keep you hooked throughout. This book is full on content and you are captivated right until the very end. I still love that these books are written in dual POV’s as it really gives you a better insight into each character their real thoughts and feelings, and makes you love and connect with them even more. I can’t believe this series is over, I will be hoping for Gwyn McNamee to revisit some of our favourite characters and give us some more of their story, but until then, Thank-you for this amazing series you have brought us. I highly recommend everyone read this series and enjoy it as much as I did!

Aiko by Brooke May is the first book in the Heartstrings series. This is only the second book that I have read by this author and I have loved every single page. I found this to be such a unique and interesting story – a unique take on a relatively saturated myth. I loved Aiko. I found her to be utterly thrilling. Her whole story was interesting and engaging. I was completely sucked in by her story and devoured the whole book in one sitting. I could not recommend this book enough and I am very much looking forward to seeing what is next to come.

War of Giants is the first book in Acacia K. Parker’s The Embers We Seek story, which is a Rebel Princess Serial. The Embers We Seek is a fantasy retelling of the Cinderella story, told in novelette-length instalments that are released every month. As the Prequel, War of Giants has a story that establishes key characters including heroine, Wren, and the setting in the world of Heros. It’s a vibrant fantasy world with plenty of conflict, mystery and magic. Wren is a military captain, seeking to resolve a conflict with as little loss of life as possible. She is willing to disobey her superiors and put her own life at risk to achieve this. She’s helped along the way by her friend Mor and a group of soldiers who have volunteered to undertake a risky mission. I really liked Mor and hope we learn more about her background in the coming books (I was hoping Mor was a love interest but alas, no). I have mixed feelings about the format. It was nice to be able to get through a whole story in one sitting, but there was a lot I would have liked more time on, particularly around the climax and the consequences of it. It felt like there was a long build up to a quick conclusion. It did leave me wanting more, though, so I’ll have to read the upcoming instalments! For me, this book gets four stars. I’d recommend it to fans of fantasy and fairy tales, particularly for readers who can’t always get through longer books.

Girl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton is the third book by Madeline Dawkins. I recommend reading this series in order to get the full back story with Madeline and Mike. I have been in pulled into this world and feel like Madeline and Mike are my friends and I will do anything for them. Madeline really finds herself in a bind. She found herself into two different cases, one is sex trafficking and the other a missing person. There are some wild twists and turns that keep you on your toes. Cynthia Hamilton does an amazing job with painting the picture with her descriptive writing skills. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for Madeline in the future.

Shattered Melody is a fantastic novella by Amy McKinley. Amy McKinley is an author I’ve come to love over the last 6 months having read all of the Gray Ghost novels so far. This may be a short novella (only 68 pages) but by God, the author crams so much action into it. I’ve always been gripped to her book from the very first page and this was no different. Songwriter Emma Dawson moved to a remote mountain location after the death of her fiancé in a car accident 3 years before. Believing that his death was no accident she lives as a recluse. When drop dead gorgeous Reese Miller moves into a cottage not too far from hers, her world turns upside down. There is an instant attraction between the 2 but as strange things start happening (dropped phone calls etc) she begins to wonder if Reese is her knight in shining armour or if he’s the one she should be most afraid of. I loved this story, in particular the interaction between Emma and Reese. Amy McKinley sure knows how to write fantastic characters and a story that keeps you gripped until the very last page.

Well I do believe I have found myself a new obsession with The Embers We Seek from Acacia K. Parker. I have never had the pleasure of reading anything by Ms. Parker prior to this and so I went in blind. I was sold on the book from the moment I saw the gorgeous and flashy cover and the idea of visiting one of my favorite fairy tales in a new light. I was not one moment disappointed.
Be fully prepared to devour this gem in a short time as it only contains 58 pages of story. I was shocked at how I still felt as if I had read a 200 page book by the time I had finished. I love this is going to be a serial story told in ten parts and released rather quickly at one a month until done. I am super thankful because I am already dying to know what will happen next. In the meantime I will go back and check out what else there is to see from Acacia K. Parker as I wait for them to release.

This is my first story by this author, I enjoyed it from cover to cover. This is a well written and creative story. The characters are connectable and made the story pop off the pages. Four brothers, all love the girl next door but she is off limits. She is now home from college, has she set her sights on one of them? Which one? I found myself turning page after page, before I realized it, I was finished. I don’t regret picking up this book and neither will you, highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this story. I was pulled in right from the start and it held my attention to the end. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed watching their story grow throughout the book. She has a new assignment plus she has the world’s survival on her shoulders. What couple possibly happen? I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book! This is a short story that I wanted more of. Emma and Reece bring the story to life and seem real. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that just kept on going. Emma is a song writer that had a tragic accident. Fast forward, she keeps to herself until one day her new neighbor shows up on her doorstep. Now she is wondering if she can allow herself a second chance at love? Will Reece change her mind? You won’t regret picking up this book, I didn’t. A must read!
Aiko by Brooke May is a truly one of a kind read! I’ve read a few books by this author but honestly this one is my favourite by far! This is the first book in the Heartstrings series, and it follows Aiko, a cupid who has an impossible love assignment after a long period away from work.
Aiko’s story is funny, witty, detailed, intriguing and truly captivating. It’s a shorter read that I was able to read in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. There was so much detail and the story flowed seamlessly!
I can’t wait to continue this series ASAP, this one of a kind read is one I would recommend to anyone!

Wren, as a captain, will do anything to protect her soldiers, but also feels like she needs to protect the innocents too. She fights when she needs to, but she tries to avoid as much innocent bloodshed as possible. When her leader organizes an attack in which many will lose their lives needlessly, she decides to defy orders and try to stop as much as possible. Going against her orders may cost her life, but it would be worth it. Trouble is, will this work or will it be for nothing?
This was quite an interesting book. I enjoy Wren and think she is a great character. The story itself is different and like nothing I have read before. It pulled me in right away and I could not put it down until I finished. Not too long, it is a perfect summer afternoon read.
If you like fantasy books with a great story and interesting characters, this book is for you.

The story The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in both the storyline and characters. I enjoyed reading about Morgan, Connor, Xander, and Zack. Also known as The Fisher Men. I also enjoyed reading about the young woman who is coming home and wanting to claim one of them. The dynamics between The Fisher Men and the young woman is a strong bond. They are her protectors and each one has helped her in their own way. What will happen when the young woman makes her claim on one of the brothers? Is there any future for them? Read this book to find out. I found this story to be very emotional. There are heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and dialogue. This book shows the power of love and friendship. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced in the story. I love that many of the characters have such kind and caring hearts. They are likable and I found myself caring about many of them with each chapter that I read. Don’t miss out on a story that has unforgettable characters and you will not want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended.

The Matchmaker’s Match was a really nice romantic read! It was well written and whilst it is the third book in the series it is perfectly fine to read as a standalone! It has definitely made me want to read the others in the series too! Because I found the story so easy to read I read it quite quickly. I really liked the characters and thought that they were likeable and relatable! I liked that the characters path to a HAE wasn’t all plain sailing, there were some unexpected twists and turns which made the story a little less predictable than I thought it was going to be! There were a few times where I really felt a huge connection to Meredith and I think although detailed the author approached everything really respectfully. Overall I thought that this was a really lovely read and I would recommend it to other readers! I look forward to reading more from Ms Flockton again in the future!

Devil’s Due is the third book in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter series. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend the other books in this series and the original Satan’s Devils series. They are all fabulous reads.
Hmmm…what to say without ruining the whole thing…
Change is never easy, and leaving everything you know behind is uncomfortable. The main characters are dealing with a lot of upheaval in their lives. This story has a lot of emotion in it as the characters traverse the circumstances as best as they know how. There are some hard choices to make, some that could endanger lives.
As with all of the other Satan’s Devils books I’ve read, this one is superb. I love that the author brings real life struggles into the stories and takes the time to research it to make it believable.
Get some tea and settle into this story, you won’t be disappointed.

The story Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May is a romantic comedy. It drew me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in the book. There are moments that I was smiling as well as laughing out loud. There are other moments that were touching. I loved reading about the characters of Aiko and Alejandro Gomez. Aiko could be given the title of worst cupid ever. Her past is littered with disaster. What will happen when she is given Alejandro as her new assignment? Alejandro is a man who is kind, caring, and has a generous heart. His love life is a different matter altogether. Read this book to find out what happens. Aiko and Alejandro are characters that are likable, and I grew to care about. The author has created a story that is entertaining, wonderful to read, and has unforgettable characters. The Last Dance is a wonderfully written story that I couldn’t put down once I started reading. The characters are very well developed and I felt like I was going along with them at times. Too Hot to Handle (The Catch Series Book 3) by Avery Scott was just too hot to put down thus me needing to devour it in one swoop and reading it in one sitting.I mean who does not like a hot fireman story? Am I right? I confess I am a bit of an Avery fan I love her stories and she never lets me down, I always know I am in safe hands. I love all the books in this series and I think this one has to be my favourite. Avery writes so vividly you can just see it all play out and the story flowed really well. Avery has done yet another wonderful job at bringing these characters to life.It is definitely fun and entertaining.
Gigi knows what she wants, right? And that is her man back after he dumps her. Her life is about to change in one of the best ways.
Tony is witty and oh so sarcastic but also oh so lovable. When the fates put a certain woman in front of him, he knows he just has to have her.

Shattered Melody: A romantic suspense novella by Amy McKinley is a sweet romance suspense story. It is an extremely short story but it packs a punch and brings out the emotions. The plot was well thought out and I loved the story flowed really well. It is a beautiful story that was easy to read and I read it in one sitting. Amy has done a wonderful job and the characters were so life like I felt like I knew them.
Emma was high on love and life but that all changed in the blink of an eye. She now lived a secluded life and out of harm’s way but once again her life was about to change again in one of the worst ways but on the other hand in one of the best ways.
I enjoy Amy’s books and look forward to more. You have to read this book, it is such a beautiful story.
This is the third book in this series but can easily be read as a stand alone. I enjoy the whole “dog” aspects of these books. They are written like secondary characters and not just as home decor. Lincoln is a character from book 1 (which I haven’t read) and it’s finally time for him to get his romance on. He has seen his best friends life and decides he would like that for himself. When Linc and Meredith first meet…its H-O-T! A one night stand of fun! Both are beyond shocked upon meeting again a month later.
Meredith is a good character but I almost felt Linc’s plight more. I don’t think Merediths character went deep enough. She seems very soft and kind although at times single minded. She does have some good supporting characters. Linc has his own concerns but once he connects with Meredith he starts placing hers before his. Which should mean something right? I loved his excitement over working again and seeing him at work with his dog.
Overall this is a good story. It lightly touches on a few things but doesn’t let them weigh down the story. The book is quick and easy to read. The story flows nicely and the characters are so cute. As mentioned before I also enjoy the whole dog theme running through the books.

One of my favorite authors ever and as soon as I opened this I knew it was another that would be added to my favorite read again file.
Holy WOW did this start out with a bang, it’s not very often my heart starts racing a million miles a minute in just the first few pages and then end up shattered like I knew these people my whole life.
I don’t know why I felt so connected to Emma but something made me totally understand and feel for her immediately. I was afraid at one point that she was going to be the typical hard nut to crack recluse and was so very relieved that that was not the case. I absolutely loved Reese and although I had my doubts as well as Emma did as soon as I found out who a lot of his friends were I knew I had to be safe in trusting him.
This was a fast moving book with just enough of a twist to fit perfectly, and it had to be since it was so short and if I had any complaints it would only be that I would have loved so much more of this story, these people, the mountain. So I’m hoping that maybe there will be more to come somewhere down the line.

The first book in “The Dark Trilogy” DARK sets up a whole new world the likes of which I’ve never read before. It’s a really cool premise. New explorations and discovery.
The writing is detailed and confusing at the same time. At times it is very visual, but I’m not quite sure WHAT I was supposed to be visualizing (I know this doesn’t make sense, you have to read the book to “get it”.
I will continue with the series and I look forward to having my questions answered.
