Girl Trap is the third book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This series keeps getting more interesting with every book. The character growth throughout the series is wonderful. Madeline and Mike are unique and the private investigator business makes the series interesting. I love the ups and downs I felt reading this story. I also like it when the author keeps you guessing until the end. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

This author was born with a gift and I’m so happy I get to read her gifts to the world. Milo and Jill, ugh these two had me hooked to the pages from beginning to end. I love when an author can get a back and forth in time correct. It has to flow well and this did just that. You get everything in this story and I loved every minute. Great series. Great book, and amazing author!

Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells was a wonderful paranormal romance. I could not put thus book down. I was immediately hooked by Sera’s character and her loss of sight. I was fascinated and curious. Did Ian cause the change to happen quicker? I had to know. As I read I learned more about what was causing her issue and had a magnificent adventure. All the crazy magical beings and attacks were invigorating! Ian was amazing and do were many of the other characters. I loved this book and it is an easy 5-stars for me. It kept me interested, had an excellent plot, and a surprising climax. I highly recommend this book.

Grace’s Ghosts By Stephenie Wilson Peterson ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a great Chapter book for middle school students and adults. This was a fun book to read. It has it all, ghosts, wild imagination starter, potions, spells and a 12 year old who can see ghosts. But I know that kids will love this story starting on page one. In walks Grace. Does she really see ghosts? Give this story an audience.
Stephenie Wilson Peterson has hit the nail on the head with this one. Kids who can read chapter books, will want to read this book. Those who do not read well, would love it if you read it to them. I love Grace and her self connection with the characters searching through this story. All I can say is What A Fun Fantastic story for all to enjoy! Nice job Stephenie Wilson Peterson!

This book is top notch! The author writes with a vividness that makes this hard to put down! It is filled with action, suspense and characters you can stand behind. The characters are lively and full of zest. Ian and Sera are great and full of depth. It was nice to watch them change and become more then possibly lose it all again. They drew me in and I couldn’t get to that last page fast enough. Just to find out what happens. The secondary characters are fun! I really like Finn and Violet. They really have some great banter and I can’t wait for their story! All of the secondary characters are wonderful. They are full and give enough to make the reader wonder about them. The author just surprises me at every turn. I did not read book 1 and I was hesitant to read this because I don’t believe in crossing species and witches aren’t my favorite characters. But I am so HAPPY I gave this one a shot! I might even go back and read book 1. But I am really looking for Finn’s story.

I really enjoyed this novel by Lou Grimes. It was for me a fresh take on a werewolf story and I really could not put it down. The story of Louvette’s journey of discovering herself and the truth about her family is full of adventure and intrigue. There are many twists and turns which kept the story interesting. This book kept my attention and ended with a bit of a cliffhanger making me eager for the second book. Lou Grimes is a new author and one I think has a great future in writing.

This is my first book by this author. Lou Grimes has a great imagination and has brought this story to life. The characters are complex and complicated. The plot line is engaging. The story has action, adventure, mystery, and drama. I found the story engaging. The story has a nice pace to it. I felt like I was right there with Louvette. She and her family have been moving around a lot recently. This was due in part of her behavior. That is until a lawyer came to the door with a bit of mystery. Will the family take this opportunity? How will the family handle themselves? I hope you enjoy this story as much as I have.

Winter’s Wolf by Lou Grimes is a paranormal romance. Louvette can’t seem to control her temper or stay out of trouble. Her mother is constantly having to move to the next town for a fresh start and to check Louvette into a new school. That all changes when Louvette’s late grandfather leaves everything to her in his will and she learns more about the side of her family she never knew about.
Grimes does a great job setting up the world and characters. I loved the relationship between Louvette and her mother. The story is action packed with a bit of mystery. I can’t wait to read the next book on this series.

A Book Signing To Die For by Judy Moore is an entertaining beach read filled with murder, mugging, family drama and secrets. It is my first read by this writer and she will be one of my go to writers when I feel like something cozy but with a slight edge! The story takes place in a small Florida town of Manatee Beach and we have O’Rourke women who will need to take on a murder that happens in their Beach Reads bookstore and coffee shop during a book signing. Beck is the older sister who co-owns the place with her grandmother Miss Alice, younger sister Lizzie is the third female of the family that rounds up the trio, oh and let’s not forget the family’s Great Dane, Coquina! When the book signing guest who knew the writer from years earlier turns up murdered, Beck decides to find out who killed her. You think you are just going along on the ride and can figure it out yourself but I tell you, it is not as simple as it seems on the surface! Throw in the hot detective, someone who Beck went to school with and who is partially responsible for her giving up her dreams of becoming a detective and you have a story that you do not mind staying up late in the evening! I am not sure if this is an opening to a new series but I hope that Beck will have more opportunities to flex her detective muscle AND who knows what will become of her relationship with the hot detective!

I enjoyed this Young Adult (YA) paranormal story by Lou Grimes. Louvette Blackwood and her Mum have moved around a lot and Louvette is seen as a bit of a trouble maker and has been thrown out of many schools. She never knew her father or even his name, until a lawyer turns up to execute her grandfather’s will. Louvette discovers that her grandfather was murdered whilst searching for her father, and Louvette is the sole heir to the Blackwood estate and fortune. Having signed the will Louvette and her mother head to Montana for a fresh start. This decision starts an eventful year for Louvette with a new place to explore, new friends, a possible romance, and new enemies. She is also determined to find out the truth about her father, and then there’s the wolf’s! No spoilers, I recommend this YA book as it is fast paced with an exciting storyline and has some great characters, all of which kept me turning the pages well into the night. I look forward to future books in this ‘The Cursed’ series.

Swallowed by a Secret is the first book I’ve read by Risa Nyman. I really enjoyed it, and while it’s listed as a childrens book, I would say preteen. The book has a bit of mystery, that is not revealed until the very end. You can speculate all you want, but most people won’t guess the answer. The characters in the book are well written and the friendships developed are strong. The feelings of the book are realistic and would be good for any child experiencing a loss. It helps them make sense of their feelings and understand everyone goes through some heavy things in life. The book is about Rocky, a 12 year old boy whose dad recently passed away. He was told from heart issues, but he doesn’t believe that. His mom makes them suddenly packup and move, right after the funeral. He has overheard pieces of conversation indicating his mom is hiding the details surrounding his father’s death. To make matters worse, he started hearing his dad’s voice. At first he is terrified, but then finds comfort in it. He has his new friend Olive start scheming ways to find out the truth.

This is my first book by Risa Nyman, Swallowed by a Secret was such a surprising read. I found myself quickly drawn into the story line and didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page.This is the story of 12-year-old Rocky whose father has died. He finds himself changing homes and schools which both take time to adjust to. This book has everything, including the ability to make me cry. The characters, though young, (the main character is thirteen) were really fantastic.I can’t wait to read more from Risa and more about Rocky!

I loved reading the book Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) by Seelie Kay. It is a story that has suspense, romance, action, and danger. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a fast-paced book that had me hooked. The Agency is looking for eight socialites that have gone missing. No one seems to care until the daughter of a former vice president becomes one of the missing. Where are they? Will they be found? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the different characters and how they all fit into the storyline. There are those who I would call “the good guys” who are looking for the missing and then there are those who have an agenda and plans. Will they succeed or will the Agency along with MISix agent Tilly Henderson be able to interrupt those plans? This book is very detailed and is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. If you love books that have you turning pages and in constant suspense, this is the book for you. I highly recommend reading it.

This is an amazing group of stories by amazing authors. They are romantic and steamy. They had me with a smile on my face and also laughing out loud. Each one had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading them. I loved the bantering that goes back and forth between the main characters. Will they find their HEA? Read these stories to find out. Some moments are heartwarming and each one has you rooting for true love to shine through. I love anthologies as I get to read stories by both new authors and those that I have read stories from before. I loved each one of these stories and all of the authors has done an amazing job in making both the stories and the characters come alive. I did want to say that the story that touched my heart was Two Hearts’ Alliance by Tamara Ferguson. I enjoy that the author has written a story that is swoon-worthy as well as paying tribute to Wounded Warriors. It had me believing that anything is possible. Don’t miss out on this awesome set to stories. I highly recommend this box set.

Winter’s Wolf is the first book in The Cursed series and is also the debut novel for Lou Grimes. This is a book that has a little of everything but is a paranormal young adult book that follows werewolves. I really enjoyed this story because it kept you on your toes while it hooks you into the story. This story was very well written and makes the reader want to come back for more of this series. I loved the characters in this story especially Louvette Blackwood. Cant wait to read more from this series.

Winter’s Wolf was a really enjoyable paranormal story – although I have read a few stories from this genre it is not one of my go to books but I saw the cover which I loved and the blurb really intrigued me so I thought I would give it a ago and I really enjoyed it! The writing was easy to read, the story line was good and I really liked the characters. The author did a great job with world building and her creative writing style really came through. I liked that the story wasn’t quite what I was expecting either – it was a really refreshing read! Louvette was a really interesting character to read about – I really liked her. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this new series!!

Swallowed by a Secret was a really intriguing and interesting read. I’ve not read anything by this author before so I was looking forward to finding and reading a new author and I was really impressed. The story whilst about a young boy was really rich and deep – I found myself easily absorbed into what I was reading. I was really surprised actually how emotionally involved I became with the story and with Rocky! I enjoyed reading his journey and the author did a really great job with him as a character. I will definitely be looking to read more from this author in the future and I highly recommend this read to others, both YA and more mature readers alike!

Heart of Malice by Lisa Edmonds a four-star read with heart. This is the first novel in the Alice Worth series and shows great promise for the series, this has some very well done world building as it encompasses a variety of different characters and they each have their own personal quirks, that make them so much more. Alice the main character is nicely done, she is hiding from a scary past, but while hiding she is also trying to atone for things that were beyond her control, as we all know guilt doesn’t always follow the correct rules. Alice was believable as a private investigator, she had a real awareness to her, I am hopeful for the rest of this series as we have met some great characters that I am sure we will only fall harder in love with the more we get to know them.

A Book Signing To Die For by Judy Moore a five-star Beach Read. This is a charming cozy mystery set in the small town of Mantee Beach and this is all about how there was a book signing with a popular cozy mystery author Marcia Graybill, with book shop co-owner Beck and the other co-owner her Grandma Alice and all seems to be going well, this pairing is just so nicely done, I don’t know if I could live and work with my Grandma, but I think as Lizzie Beck’s sister just adds to the whole story. Anyhoo, after the signing one of the people who attended turns up dead, que Beck finding her dreams coming true, as a closet detective she gets to put her mind to it. Que red herrings and twists galore and you have a great story, honestly it will keep you hooked, and you will be kept guessing as to who is the killer!!! This was a great story and I will be keeping an eye out for Judy Moore.

The Labyrinthine Journey is the second book in the Servant of the Gods series by Luciana Cavallaro. It is an epic fantasy filled with adventure, ancient history, mythology, gods, drama, danger, prophecy, ancient relics, and more. Even though this is the second book in the series and continues Evan’s adventure, Ms. Cavallaro does a great job of ‘catching us up’ on the events in book one- so this can be read as a standalone if that’s what you wanted, without feeling lost in the story. Ms. Cavallaro’s attention to detail and obvious love of ancient history really brings this story to life. She proves to be quite knowledgeable about this era- and all the wonderful descriptive detail and snippets of history really add to the atmosphere and feel of the story. It was so easy to be ‘in’ the story, and ‘see’ everything as it was unfolding. I love ancient history, and that was one of the things that drew me to this book. Evan is a 21st century architect who has been transported through time, back to ancient Greece- where he finds himself on a mission from the Gods. This quest, to find the ancient relics and save the Gods, proves to be quite the epic adventure. It will test him like nothing before, and he will need to dig deep if he is to succeed, and survive. Looking forward to book #3!

This story grabbed me from the beginning and kept me intrigued throughout the entire read. This book is full of action, suspense, mystery and more. Given the circumstances Louvette handled the information well when she found out she was a lupine and had no idea until now. She has more questions than answers about her father and grandfather. There are other wonderful characters in this book that make this story that much better. I found myself turning pages while on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. I absolutely enjoyed reading this well written story and can’t wait to read what’s next. I highly recommend this book!!

Heart of Malice (Alice Worth Book 1) by Lisa Edmonds was an excellent 5-star read. This book was exciting, engaging, and creative. I loved Alice, Malcom, Sean, and all the characters in this novel. They were well thought out and had excellent development. This book was addictive and I had a hard time putting it down. I loved it! The storyline had a great plot and climax. I can’t wait to see what this author has for us next.

Plenty of attraction, steam, growth, and an all together great storyline! Plans to go back and read from the beginning! Well done!!!

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell was a fantastic read! I loved the plot and the subject of memory. I found the story fast paced but very intricate. Lucy and Marco were well written. I loved the author’s attention to detail and twists and suspense.
The Labyrinthine Journey (Servant of the Gods Book 2) by Luciana Cavallaro. This is the 2nd book in the Servant of the Gods series and its so good. In this installment we find that Evan’s new life is in ancient Greece and he’s afraid he will never see his home again. Evan is born to divine parents but he is completely human and his enemies are so much more powerful than he is. He has been taken from his normal world and thrown into a world with mythical creatures, fabled warriors and sorcery. Evan must take a wild trek around ancient times Greece with one goal in mind…to save the Olympian Gods from destruction. Evan has to accept that Zeus is his father, endure terrible pain and accept help from the Mother Goddess all in his quest to preserve the legacy of the gods by recovering 2 ancient sacred relics. If he does this Zeus may allow him to return home. Will Evan succeed or will he be stuck in this crazy ancient Greek world forever. This was a fast paced adventure that I’m sure you will love.

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race. I loved this book. In fact I read it in one setting leaving me a little book hungover the next day but it was worth it. Its the story of Melinda a psychologist turned matchmaker. Melinda is trying to put her life back together after losing her Police Officer husband to a horrible accident. She has moved to the small town of Chester and has made a name for herself as a matchmaker. While attending one of the matches wedding’s she is introduced to Adam a former Marine who is new to town. He is best friends with the groom and decides he needs to have Melinda fix him up. Once they meet they become fast friends and Melinda sets out to find Adam his perfect match. Adam is keeping a secret though, something very important to him was lost during his time in the Marines. He’s scared to be honest about it because of the way his last girlfriend responded. As Adam goes on dates that Melinda has set up he realizes that maybe Melinda is the one for him not these other women. Will Melinda realize its time to find love for herself and move on or will the secret Adam is harboring tear them apart. This is a sweet contemporary romance that I couldn’t put down!
