This book picks up right where the first book left off. Lillie has been abducted, again, by Erius. Using a truth potion, he tries to exact the location of the Zayed village. She escapes and is safe in the village. How can they stop the evil madman trying to steal their magic and destroy the Zayed people? Once again, the author offers a quick entertaining story.

When artist and conservator Gianna Bellini lands a dream job in Venice to restore and complete a century-old fresco painting, she packs her bags and hops the first flight to Italy. But as she walks the cobbled streets with eerie familiarity, she comes to the revelation that she has been to the floating city before—just not in this lifetime.
Handsome Venetian native Sergio Vitale rescues Gianna from a chilling plunge after a misstep at a canal-side café. As their budding relationship deepens, so does her progress on the restoration job—except the fresco painting’s missing a panel. She turns to Sergio for help. The closer they get to discovering the unfinished design, the more Gianna is tormented by vivid dreams and haunting whispers where century-old Venetians have met their end.
In a city where the past and present walk hand in hand, Gianna struggles against destiny while Sergio fights for a future that includes her in it.

Still reeling from the death of her grandmother and adjusting to her inheritance: the powers of the Swamp Witch, Teagan already has enough on her plate. Add in one demi-demon biker ex, one teenaged witch with more powers than brains, and maybe-dating the most dangerous guy she’s ever met (and considering her ex, that’s saying something!) — Teagan has more than enough going on.
Then the carnival comes to town.
Teagan is left to defend the residents of Firewater Springs against a literal freakshow full of paranormal beings, and a demon ringmaster who wields a power that, in the middle of battle, could turn her allies against her.
Unless Teagan manages to do it first, all by herself.

Whether your child was born with special needs or developed them following illness or injury, you walk a hard road as a special needs parent.
With a child born with heart challenges and then severely brain injured at eight months old, Dr. Marcia Nathai-Balkissoon weaves her powerful story and experiences with observations and strategies that support a hopeful future in Lighting the Path.
Leaving no stone unturned, Marcia reduces the anxiety felt by many special needs parents by helping them through the most commonly faced circumstances—processing their new reality, skill development, career balance, financial planning, medical practitioners, appointments, therapies, caregivers, health, maintaining care for all family members, self-care, the rapid firing of emotions from isolation to judgement, and more—all with the goal to provide hope and support so you don’t have to walk this path alone.
If you’re facing many unknowns in your special needs journey, Lighting the Path combines compassion with a wealth of ideas and actions to help you build a better future for yourself and your entire family.
Dr. Marcia Nathai-Balkissoon is a storyteller and educator who believes that we each have a powerful purpose that should guide our lives. As one of her children is brain-injured and bedridden, Marcia and her family have traversed significant challenges. She is passionate about helping special needs families to feel more connected, gain visibility, access and support, and tap into their resilience.
Beyond the special needs context, Marcia helps people connect deeply with their purpose so they can experience more joy and fulfilment. Through intuitive and logical interventions, her work seeks to shift mindsets, build habits, foster creativity and curiosity, and enable people to live their best lives each day, trusting they are enough.
Currently a tenured lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Marcia is most drawn to the fields of health, safety and wellness, business and personal strategy, and teaching and learning. She is a certified Parent Skills Master Trainer and enjoys working with her husband to adapt interventions for their daughter and helping other parents to do the same for their children.

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes is the first book in the Kiss me series by Danielle Jacks. This contemporary romance is entertaining, fun and steamy. I enjoyed watching the story unfold as something fake through to something that is nurturing and blossoming into something real. Revenge lies and a plan do not always go as one imagines. I will not share anything more as this little gem needs to be discovered all on its own. Good reading!

This book was amazing. It is a great way to continue the series. I couldn’t put it down. There were so many different elements in this story. From friendship to romance to mystery and adventure.I felt like I was there searching, wanting more. I am so happy that I found this awesome series by such an awesome, talented author.

This book was beautiful, historical and descriptive from the author’s memory which is accurate. This is an intense recollection of a past life that is enamored through the readers’ eyes. I loved how all this tied together created a memorable love story that I shant soon forget.

For me, this was the most beautiful book I’ve read in quite awhile. This book was beautiful as it brought to light just what makes Italy a great country. The scenes bring you closer to being in Italy itself as the author’s words transcend you there through the pages. The story wrapped around the scenery draws you in. This is one of the best books in a long time: Pick up your copy today!

The depth of this book is thought-provoking from almost every point of view. The characters are so much more than what meets the page. My heart instantly breaks for Dane but the truth is that once he turned to that darker character, the more I got scared for Mila and who they could be. Their ride throws you down a deeper rabbit hole and I hope you’re ready for it. This book is full of action, intensity and a romance out of this world!

I absolutely fell for the characters and their love story EXCEPT their differences but somehow that didn’t stop them from winning love together. This book hit me on a deeper level than just being a love story though: It was one of true love, compromising and what relationships with others are really made of. From the way this author wrote to the way the cultures blurred together made this story much more beautiful to the reader in unexpected ways: in magical ways, this book is highly recommended!

I love love books that have an undertone of Carnival to them so when this cover caught my eye and I saw the theme it was a no brainer I knew I had to give it a read. I am so glad that I did. It was one crazy ride and I loved every single second that I spent reading it! I was completely swept up into this world created by Leslie Scott where Teagan is our main character and there are so many more side characters that just pack as much of a punch, given the theme that is also a no brainer. I loved how this managed to keep me thinking about it when I wasn’t reading and had me itching to pick it back up the next day to see how things would turn out. I can’t wait to see what else is available in this series and will come next as well as what may be available by Leslie Scott as well!
