To be honest, I’ve never heard of Gilgamesh until now, I thought this was an interesting read and I enjoyed the characters. I liked that Gilgamesh had all these wives but when in the palace he told them that they didn’t need to consummate their marriage or even have children together. And I liked that though he was physically attracted to men he truly loved Shamhat, their marriage has everything but the sex. Gilgamesh’s characters grows, he stops worrying so much on the future and he tells everyone that it was Enkidu who killed Humbaba because he no longer cares about his legacy. I love when he’s ready to live in the moment. There’s Gods, friendship, action and romance, I recommend to all fantasy readers.

The story of Tess and Ryan was such a heartfelt journey. Tess was torn up about her past and fell for Ryan in an instant. Her past threatened everything that Ryan had ever been through, and she didn’t know how he would ever forgive her. The family involved in this book is a big part and the support they give each other. Through it all, Tess and Ryan had explosive chemistry and I didn’t want to put the book down. I’m anxiously awaiting the rest of the series!!

Woah, this isn’t what I was expecting in the slightest. It was like watching a train wreck, not because the writing was bad, just that it was so dark and twisted but I couldn’t pull away from it. The beginning had me very unsure but as I kept reading I was hooked and had to know what was going to happen next. It was cool to get different POV throughout this story, even from the killers side. Cole bothered me at first but ended up being a good guy who went through a lot as he grew up. Emma irritated me to no end with how she wouldn’t take no as an answer and kept trying to sabotage things to get to Cole. Maya was staying in a rich community as a nanny where everyone was fake and plastic but her. She had multiple men drawn to her because she was genuine but she quickly grew feelings for Cole. Cole does whatever he can to win her over and protect her from “X” but who will save who in the end? This was a suspenseful and spicy read, and I would love to read more from this author.

Salt Love by Marika Ray follows Kenna’s life after her whole world begins to tatter at the seams in a matter of days. Among the wreckage, she receives news that her aunt has died and flies to Florida to meet with a lawyer to discuss her aunt’s final wishes. It’s there that she meets Dec Boggs, a friend and neighbor of Kenna’s aunt. While he is absolutely infuriating to her, she can’t help but be curious about him…and feel an attraction to him. She is temporarily less than thrilled to find out that she is sharing ownership of Maeve’s boat club with him. As the story continues unfolding, a connection between the two of them really begins to flourish. But can their pasts be left where the past belongs, or will secrets keep them from truly letting love in again?
This story had me cheering Kenna on from the very first page. Her lack of luck had me laughing but also feeling sympathetic. When it rains, it pours! But once Kenna finds her footing, she really begins to shine. If you enjoy a well-written romantic comedy with a nice helping of sweet and spicy, I highly recommend this book! I will be looking for more books by this author in the future.

Raccoon Reunion by Terri Sabol 5 Stars This book is absolutely cute and perfect!! Especially for us as we are about to have a huge family reunion this fall and my kids feel just like Rocky did in the beginning of the book. When I came across this and we read it together they enjoyed it very much.
Rocky is worried a bit about the reunion because he won’t know anybody and as he meets family, he hasn’t seen for a while or has never met. Grandma Rigby is running family games and Rocky already seems unsure about joining or dislikes some of the games like eggs since he doesn’t like them. He then speaks up about a game he does know and uses ideas to help the family and makes a new friendship with his cousin.
We loved this just as much as we love all of Terri Sabol’s books

Salt Love: A Romantic Comedy by Marika Kay. It’s just one piece of bad news after the other, first it is finding out that her aunt has died and second is a cheating husband who has only been found out by chance after a jewellery shop called about a bracelet she had never seen, and now it is the morning of the presentation to get a promotion and unfortunately, the bracelet is being worn by the other woman, who just happens to also be the other woman up for the position as well, so when she is overlooked for the cheater, she snaps and gives everyone a piece of her mind. It is probably a good thing that she must go to Florida to sort out her aunt’s estate because she must take a leave of absence after her outburst, however, it is not a smooth start when she arrives in a flurry of rainy weather and stress. Meanwhile, Dec Boggs, is a man who likes to live his life in an uncomplicated manner, by spending time on the water and with his Dad, but when he sees a flummoxed, agitated and drenched woman entering the lawyers office to hear the reading of the will and when it doesn’t go as she expected she explodes, but being the nice neighbour he is, he escorts her back to her aunt’s house, which just so happens to be next door to his. After the initial shock of all the events occurring around her, this lady is at the end of her tether, especially when she finds out that she must live in Sunshine Keys in Florida for a year before she can claim her inheritance and on top of that, she is now a shared owner of a boating club, and she knows nothing about boating, or Florida, or gators! This is where her sexy, yet surly neighbour comes in, helping her to adapt to the salt life and tempting her to forget her past, but when the past catches up to them both, will it change their minds about the future, or will the salt life win out? This is a romantic comedy which is full of ups, downs and everything in between which will entertain you as time plays out and adventures await in Sunshine Keys.

I love this series and am always excited to see what kind of trouble the Duke and Madame Chalamet find themselves in. Byrd Nash did not disappoint this reader. The storyline kept me on my toes and I could not put this story down. In this book, Chalamet helps the Duke solve a mystery about missing women and the Morpheus Society’s involvement. Their relationship finally evolves to more than just friendship and I am very excited to see where this love grows in the future! On to book 4…

In this cute little book for kids, you find Rocky the raccoon scared of going to his family reunion. This is suck a great book to help ease little ones anxiety over going to a family gathering with a crowd of people they don’t know. Rocky is shy at first but then he comes up with a great idea to help the family out and he finds out him and his cousin get along great. In the end they can’t wait to see each other again. The book shows kids how just stepping outside their comfort zone for a moment can help teach them that they can make friends and even become close to family members for a lifetime friend. Definitely recommend this book for anyone who has children who get anxious or nervous about meeting new people
OH MY GOD!! If you are looking for a steamy page-turner, this is your series!! Sylvan is a hopeless romantic author who is all roses and pure innocence. Sylvan is doing research for a new book she is writing. When she was introduced to TB they formed a bond through online chatting. The two agree to meet at a local club to further Sylvan´s research hands-on. Unfortunately for Sylvan, her past is about to come rushing back. When panic overcomes Sylvan there is only one person she can trust, Kai. When Sylvan finally comes out of shock she is faced to face with TB. After what seemed like forever for TB, his crew broke Sylvan’s wall down enough to learn about her past. This book is amazing. It could be read as a stand-alone or in order. I did not read the first book in the series, but I can tell you this: I will go back to read it! And the rest of the books that follow in this series!!

Loved this page-turner! This is the second book in the series and I may have liked it even better than the first. This series is amazing and I highly recommend it for all thriller lovers!
The author develops relatable characters and a plot that sucks you in. The author is particularly skilled in creating suspense and a story that will haunt you. I really enjoyed the alternating points of view, similar to the first book and the depth the author creates to the characters and the story. The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through (and past) the end. I can’t wait for the next one

This book was a lot of fun to read and makes me want to reread it on a beach somewhere. I love the way the story is told from duel perspectives and really dives deep into the characters. This was the first book I’ve read by this author, and it’s definitely going to be labeled as one of my top favorites!

What a neat book. I found the little mini stories to be perfect for my ADHD soul. I found them to be perfect to help guide kids to jump further into studying other science topics. My grandaughter told me that she loves science and I think she would enjoy this book. It’s perfect with it’s little chapters. I love the answers at the end of the chapter. Amanda is a good character as she asks the perfect questions to delve deeper. We’ll be adding this to our library.
Murder by Moonlight is the first book in the Felines of Fairytale Forest Series by K.L. Montgomery. This book really isn’t like anything else I have ever read. We are following our protagonist Catherine (Cat) who is a night time custodian at a Fairytale theme park in South Caroline. Everything is business as usual until one of the Managers turns up murder. Though no one really liked the manager all that much the murder is still not great. Cat finds herself on the list of suspects and has to attempt to find the real killer and clear her name. She gets help from Zoe and Gloria to try to solve the mystery before its to late. This book is absolutely fun and intriguing. You will not want to put it down. 4 out of 5 stars!

It’s funny how I keep picking up books that I end up massively relating to. Cadence is stuck in an unhappy, toxic, passionless relationship until her sister drags her to see a band and she can’t keep her eyes off the lead singer. They don’t get along at first, but end up forming a deep friendship, which allows Cadence to grow the strength she needs. It’s an emotional story all-round, as well as relatable, and inspirational, and romantic. I did find a few issues towards the end, for instance, I feel like Damien’s history is the kind of story that contributes towards the lack of belief in women, I thought her connection to music would come sooner, months go by in the space of a few chapters, a lot comes out about Elijah, there’s a huge level of miscommunication, and I’m guessing the reveal at the end is a hint towards the next in the series but I hadn’t connected to the relevant characters enough for it to make an impact. But overall it was a passionate love story and I’m happy with how it worked out. My favourite character was Cadence and my least favourite character was Elijah. I recommend this book because it is inspiring especially if you find yourself stuck in an unhappy situation. And we’ve all dreamed about singing along with a rockstar, haven’t we? ‘There was something inspiring about hitting rock bottom and creating yourself all over again, brick by brick.’

Second Glance: A Serrulata Saga Romance Novel by A.E. Bennett is a forbidden MM romance with an HEA. This book really has it all. The disability representation the LQBTQ rep. This book is apart of a series but can be read as a standalone. You will fall into this world effortlessly and when you resurface into reality you will quickly realize that you have been reading much longer than you expected. You get sucked in, in the best possible way. I highly recommend giving this story a read if you enjoy a story that will give you all the feels and still has plenty of spice. 4 out of 5 stars.

As always, if it has mythology, regardless of which type, it’s going to catch my eye, and this story was no different. Having studied Gilgamesh, I was intrigued to see how the author would interpret his story and I thought she did an amazing job. This was a fast paced story that eventually draws you in so deep you can’t stop until the final page. I am definitely looking forward to book 2 as book 1 leaves us in a bit of a cliffhanger. The author did a great job of making the relationships between the characters feel genuine and real, even in the midst of gods and goddesses. She doe an amazing job with the character development and you truly want what’s best for them. I also loved the vivid deals in her descriptions, you really feel like you are transported to a new world.

I am not a huge fan of the paranormal genre but this book intrigued me and it did not disappoint. It was quirky, fun and imaginative. I have read several of Naomi Valkyrie’s books now and they are all well written and will draw you in and make you feel as if you are part of the story. Watching as Lock discovers the changes in himself is both comical and horrifying and will keep you reading just to discover what is next for the poor guy. Quick read and so worth it.
Racoon Reunion was such a fun kids book. The pictures are so colorful. I love how the book teaches kids about problem solving and friendships. The character building is great. This book was such an easy read. My 9 year old loved it.
I am totally hooked on this wonderful authors writing so much so that just seeing her name means I know it must read the book. I enjoyed the first book of this trilogy so much that I started reading this second book as soon as I finished the last page and OMG I am so glad that I did. Rachel & Miguel had me held captive right from the start and I just couldn’t get enough. You will Laugh, maybe even Cry and as always with this author, go through so many emotions during this sweet and quirky ( I think that’s the right word to use lol) read. I just can’t wait for more of this trilogy and from this amazingly talented Author!

When I first read the Trading Heartbeats trilogy, I thought to myself that I was definitely a fan of this fabulous Author But I have to say after reading this first book of the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy I am totally and completely hooked!! Salt Love is a cute story. Of two characters who fight to admit who they are and what they want. I really like the growth of the two main characters as they navigated their new life. I say that in a figurative sense. This author sucks the reader in with the fall of Kenna’s life. Kenna has been placed on sabbatical after losing it when she didn’t get the promotion. A promotion that went to a woman who was also currently sleeping with her husband. On top of finding out her aunt passed away. A small trip to Florida to settle her aunt’s affairs finds herself in a situation she’s not sure how to handle. With a man she’s extremely attracted too and doesn’t want to be. Dec leads a quiet life in the keys. Hiding away from a life he left behind. Befriending Maeve was easy. Having to handle the responsibilities after her death not so much. He was attracted to Kenna and he doesn’t like it. He’s not someone to be tied down. He likes her but is scared to admit to himself.. She’s dealing with a divorce and sworn off men. What will they do? They have no choice to run the business together for a year, or she has to give up her inheritance. The dynamic between them is sometimes swoon worthy. Who doesn’t wish for that kind of banter. The Woods family is back as we visit New Haven once again. A series of unsolved cases are piling up. Time is running out. This was a good follow up book in this series. Make sure to read The Misery House before diving into this book.

I love when novels jump right “into it” and Salt Love didn’t miss a beat. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I was not disappointed. Straight away I was drawn to the cover art! Quickly I was drawn into the storyline and really instantly fell in love with our main female. I liked that we were able to experience Dec’s perspective too with the alternating narration. Overall, this book had a little bit of everything and was the perfect storyline to kick off my lakeside vacation.

The Monkey Island Murder: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery (Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery Series) by Rosalind Barden. This is such a fun series about a young orphan girl named Sparky. She lives in Los Angeles during the depression and she was formally a street kid but is now living with all kinds of different characters. When her boss is accused of murder Sparky realizes she has to solve the case to save him. With all kinds of craziness happening while trying to solve the murder Sparky puts herself and others in harms way. Will she be able to solve the murder before another one happens? Such a fun mystery for young kids. The writing is so well done I felt like I was living in LA during the depression!

Salt Love is a romantic comedy by Marika Ray. Kenna Cugly is having the worst time of her life when she gets the news that her aunt has died. Now Kenna has to go down to Florida while also reeling from having to take a forced sabbatical from work and being served divorce papers from her cheating husband. Fortunately, this trip to read her aunt’s will is the right step in a new direction. Kenna is such a relatable character. Everyone can relate to being at that point where everything is falling apart. This book gives you hope that a second chance is possible for you too. The romance was sweet. I didn’t like Dec at first but he ended up being a great guy and the chemistry between him and Kenna is great. The other characters in this story are great as well. The friendship between Kenna and Liz is perfect. This is a fun book for those who love to see characters remake their lives.

The Amanda Mini-Mysteries by Lois Wickstrom. This is such a fun kids book filled with scientific experiments. Its a read that would better suit ages 9-12 and could be a fun family read. I read this with my 11 year old nephew and we both enjoyed it. Its about Amanda and her friend Elaine as they investigate mini-mysteries and find out why things turn out certain ways. If you love science and mysteries this book is for you and the child in your life. We really enjoyed it and will do some of the experiments mentioned. This book would make a great gift for a elementary teacher for her class.
Spirit Guide is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series. Elinor finds herself solving yet another mystery with Tristan. This time the daughter of a baron is missing. When Tristan comes to Elinor for help she is all too eager to help. Unfortunately, The Morpheus Society may have something to do with the missing woman. I enjoyed this installment of the series. The addition of Twyla to the group of Elinor, Tristan, and the others adds some different energy and comedy. The plot is again well-written and engaging, The mystery keeps you guessing. I love the many laugh-out-loud moments. We are getting to see a little bit of movement with Tristan and Elinor which is lovely to see. I like Twyla and Elinor together. Twyla is frustrating but sweet and cares a lot about what Elinor thinks. This was a great addition to the series.
