THE BOW (HER THREE IMMORTALS Book 3) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Kayla Octaviano

The Bow (Her Three Immortals, #3)The Bow by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hazel Storm has done it again in her third book in the Her Three Immortals series. She has taken such a common concept, dealing with your boyfriend’s mother’s dislike for you, and made it feel the size of a God. This series is relatable, but also so fictional, it makes you want to be lost in these books.

This book was so fun to read! It is a very interesting and unique take on the Cinderella story. However, it is not what you think. There are plot twists and character development aspects one wouldn’t think to add to Cinderella. Read this book if you like imagination, creativity, and being surprised.

A Divided Mind (The Divided Series Book 1) by M. Billiter – Review by Kayla Octaviano

A Divided MindA Divided Mind by M. Billiter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow. An amazing book. I could not put this book down. A Divided Mind is a book about Branson, a teenage twin, who has some mental health issues that he and his family are trying to decipher. His mother shows her unconditional love, but she and Branson have a hard time communicating during this period in his life. His twin brother Aaron can tell there is something wrong, but isn’t sure how to help. Branson is having a hard time finding who to talk to about the voices in his head because he doesn’t want people to think he’s crazy. Once he finally finds a friend, Trevor, his family isn’t sure he is the best influence on him. This book shows how important mental health is and how necessary family support is even when you feel like what you’re doing isn’t enough. If you enjoy haunting and exciting books that keep you on the edge of your seat, this is a great book for you.

Didn’t fail to follow in the unique glow of its predecessor. Always very interesting and I love how the writer writes the chapters in each characters perspectives. I was very interested in reading this book because I read “The Don”, the first book in the series. It picks up right where it left off and continues the roller coaster of emotions. This is a great book for anybody who likes world building, unique and strong characters, and different types of attraction.

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC #1) AUDIO BOOK by Manda Mellett – Review by KAYLA OCTAVIANO

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best book I’ve ever listened too. On top of the narrators bringing the characters to life so perfectly, the story is amazing. Sophie, a woman living in the UK loves sex and her best friend. When her best friend gets into trouble, and therefore gets Sophie into trouble, she finds herself under the protection of an outlaw motorcycle gang, the Satan’s Devils. Attempting to protect Sophie is more of a challenge than they thought, but she makes some lifelong friends there. The culture and family this book brings into view in the motorcycle gang is eye opening. If you like being kept on the edge of your seat, action, planning, and culture, this is the perfect book for you. Listen to it. I was hoping it would never end. I can’t wait to listen to the next one and look into the books this series has spun off of.

Stripped (Stripped Book 1) by Stacy-Deanne – Review by Kayla Octaviano

Stripped (The Stripped Series Book 1)Stripped by Stacy-Deanne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I never read a book about detectives on a case before. I’ve only ever watched TV shows and movies. But reading in a book is just as enticing, if not more. The author does a great way of describing the places and making each suspect give off a particular aura that keeps you guessing. Stripped is about Dee, a detective who is assigned a new partner, Connie, who she dislikes greatly. They are put on a homicide case that is turning up at many odd angles with many rich and successful people involved. If you like books with an air of mystery around them that keeps you guessing until the very end, this is the book for you.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven Series Book 4) by AJ Renee – Review by Kayla Octaviano

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven series, and it lives up to its prior books hype. Cursed Touch is about Carter Broderick, a man who has magic in him and his family, but has only ever used it to heal others, as he is a doctor. All of his siblings around him have found their partners, but he doesn’t believe it’s in the cards for him. However, when Vanessa brings her neighbor to a hospital he happens to be at for the day, he comes to find magic is the least of his worries. Vanessa is a beautiful young woman who owns her own jewelry store full of her own creations. Sure she barely pays her rent, but she’s happy living a life full of happiness and independence. However, lately, in her town, she’s been noticing some odd occurrences that are really starting to make her feel crazy. When Carter comes into her life, her independent lifestyle gets challenged and her crazy is anything but. Can they figure things out for themselves and together? Or is it just too much to handle? I recommend this book for anyone who knows how important it is to be able to handle things on your own, and what a challenge it is to have to work someone else into the picture. Anybody who loves romance, magic, and a little edge would love this book like I do.

An Enduring LoveAn Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Enduring Love is a romance novel, but there is so much more to it. If you like time period romances that have twists that make you feel for the characters, this is the book for you. Rebecca is a citizen of Latvia while Rhys Sudduth is the son of a politician in London. Rhys and Rebecca fall in love and get married. Not long after, a parent of each lies on their deathbed, so they must separate for family. However, due to unnatural circumstances, they are forced to live their lives separate for four years. Check OutCheck Out by Debra Parmley

If you enjoy romance novels that have suspense, obstacles, and multifaceted characters, this is a great book for you. Nash is a retired marine who is working through his issues and attempting to return to civilian life. Betsy is a nerdy librarian who lives in books more than reality. When the two lives collide, sparks fly. However, with their own personal troubles and Betsy’s little sister Leann’s, the attempt at romance is harder than expected. Read it, you won’t regret it.

Flash Point: Nite Fire Volume 1 AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Kayla Octaviano

FIVE STAR REVIEW!!!

“Flash Point” is a story about Dahlia Nite, a shape-shifting woman from another world, who just wants to find a place she belongs. After being exiled from her home, she has come to Earth to help protect the humans from evil that comes from her old home. After gruesome murders begin to occur, she tries to hide the truth from the humans, while working alongside them to get redemption for the lost souls.

Personally, this book was hard for me to listen to in certain areas because of the descriptiveness of the demented crime scenes. However, other than that, this book was amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat at all times. The character building is strong and always has you switching which romance to root for. The world building present in this book is phenomenal! I recommend it to anyone who can stomach some crazy crime scenes, likes suspense and piecing scenarios together, and really enjoys fantasy worlds mixing with ours.

Dirty Tactics (Special Weapons & Tactics Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Peyton Banks – Review by Kayla Octaviano

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Listen to this book! I was hooked from the beginning! S.W.A.T. Sergeant Marcus MacArthur is as hot as it gets. You love a man in uniform? LISTEN TO THIS BOOK! He’s a badass, and he knows it too. So, of course, he draws the attention of his new neighbor Sarena, a nurse in the emergency room at the hospital. They both work funky hours, they both work adrenaline filled jobs, I’ve never seen a couple more made for each other. But there are downfalls to these careers they’ve picked, and this book shows those very clearly. Can they make it through these dilemmas? Or will they die trying? If you like well written books narrated by people who bring the characters to life, listen to this book. If you like steamy romance scenes that you’ll want to listen to again, listen to this book. If you like twists and action, listen to this book. Basically, listen to this book. It’s amazing and worth the time.
