Yearning Young (Burning Britely #2)Yearning Young by Deidre Huesmann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yearning Young by Deidre Huesmann is the second book in the Burning Britely series. This is a series that I would recommend reading in order as it follows the story of the same two characters throughout.
Everything about this book is as raw and emotional as the first. I loved how this time we got to see things from Braeden’s point of view. I loved it when it was Jeff but there is something about Braeden that just really resonated with me.
It was so easy to become so invested in him as a character. He was genuinely likeable. The story was fantastic as well. It was a brilliant continuation from where book 1 left off. The author pulls you straight back in their world and I couldn’t put this book down at all. I would highly recommend this whole series.

If The Shoe Fits by Bea Stevens is the third book in the Liberty Lawrence series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although you will miss a fair amount of character build up from the previous two books.
It is always fun to read about Libby and the situations she finds herself in. It is entertainment reading her stories. The author has done a great job at keeping her interesting throughout.
The book flows really well, keeping the storyline going and never resting back on the previous two books at all. This is an overall enjoyable series.

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham is the fourth book in the Wild Beasts series. This is one of those books that definitely has a bit of everything – fantasy, romance, action, paranormal. There is definitely something there for everyone.
I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. I read this book on its own and I know that I have missed a lot because of that. It felt like the character build up and the story setting has either been done in books before or has been building throughout the series and I knew I didn’t have full knowledge.
However the book was still well written and had a great depth to it. The characters were still interesting and easy to read about. It is obvious to see this is a brilliant series. Which is why I will be going straight back to book 1!!!

Broken Sand Dollar by JD Boudreaux is the third book in the Sand Dollar series.it is definitely best to read these books in order so you get the full story.
The author has done a great job with this book. Having read the first two books I thought I knew exactly what direction the third would take. However the author took that expectation and completely threw it out. And did it with such ease it made me wonder how I could have ever thought it would go differently.
This book has to be my favourite in the series. I loved reading about Alex and how he was portrayed. This is a great book and a great series.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Feathers: A novel by Kylie Stewart is a book that will not only keep you hooked from start to finished but will keep you thinking about it days after you have finished reading.
The blurb made it clear that this book would be highly emotional and deep and that is exactly what you get. With a dark edge running through it you are drawn to everything in this book, from the story to the characters.
As the reader you really do become so invested in Charlotte and Hawk. They have both been through so much and the author portrays that so well.
This is a brilliant read and easily one of the best o have read so far this year. I am looking forward to what else is to come.

Alex and Mallory could not be more suit and yet ill-suited at the same time. The chemistry between them, the connection they have, was so good to read about. You wanted to find a way to work past all the secrets that were bound to come out. But at the same time you couldn’t possibly guess how they would work it out.
The story was great as well. With t all relating back to Mallory’s sister it gave an emotional depth that I hadn’t expected.

Vortex by Kimberly Packard is a book unlike any I had read before. The plot was different from most of the books I have read recently and that captures my attention and kept me hooked.
Part of what had me so fascinated with this book is that I just couldn’t imagine anything that would prompt me to do what Elaine does. And yet at the same time I felt like I was right there with her making those decisions, chasing all those storms.
This book takes you on such an emotional journey. It’s been a while since I had to “sit” for a while once finishing a book but this one I certainly had to. An absolutely brilliant read I couldn’t recommend this more.
