My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel by Linda Bennett Pennell. This book is seeped in history and intrigue with a great crossover to modern day.
This is a story told in two separate times. The authors does a great job of jumping between the two time lines while keeping you invested in all the characters.
For me I found this book to be a slow build type of book. It didn’t instantly hook but either realising it the book crept up and grabbed my interest.
The story is full of detail and suspense. I really wasn’t sure at first if I would like it but I definitely enjoyed it. For anyone who likes this genre I would say to give this book a go!
