Incredible!
This book is amazing. It opens doors to be able to walk beside someone who is visually inpaired and understand a little bit better. It is beautifully written and definitely something everyone should learn more about. The activities just add to the experience. The poems are wonderful and just warms your heart!!

Oh my! What a wonderful Christmas story. My oldest is out of the believing in Santa stage, and my 2 younger ones still believe in Santa. I haven’t read it to them for this reason. But now I have the perfect story to read to them when they get to the questioning stage. This book did such a great job answering, “Is Santa real?” while still keeping the magic alive. I’d like my kids to believe as long as possible, but also can’t wait to share this with them.

This was a truly great children’s book with a heartwarming story filled with some great lessons. I highly recommend that all school children read this book. I am a crazy cat lady so the fact that this story was about a cat really tugged at my heart strings. I love that it teaches children to find greatness not only in themselves but in everyone. I also loved the important meaning that we all belong that was taught in this story. I loved the illustrations that were included but thought that they could have been more detailed especially for younger readers to understand the story. They just felt too generic in my opinion. Overall, I loved this story and the meaning behind it. It would be nice to have this book read in all head start or primary aged classrooms.

This book is a timeless tale of the time in a child’s life when they are caught between whether they should believe in Santa Claus or not. When Lucas’ friends tell him there is no such thing as Santa Claus Lucas asks his mom if Santa Claus is real. His mom lets him in on a secret and gives him the opportunity to be a Dream Keeper. But is Lucas ready for such an important job?
This book was wonderfully written, beautifully illustrated and does a beautiful job of describing the true magic of Christmas. This is a book that pulls at your heart strings and conjures up fond childhood memories of Christmas as a child when Santa was very much real, and the magic of the Christmas season was all around us. I could smell the gingerbread baking in the kitchen, hear the Christmas songs and was right there stringing popcorn. This book is sure to become a Christmas classic!

Brilliant
What a fabulous children’s story with a wonderful message. Priscida is such a relatable character that kids (and adults) will easily fall in love with. The writing is easy to follow and the messages of believing in yourself and your greatness are so well delivered. With great illustrations this is a book worthy for a classroom or home library.

My oldest isn’t quite at the “Is Santa real stage”. I want him to believe as long as possible but this book is such a cute way to address the question when it comes. The idea of dream keepers is a very cute way to keep the hope and Christmas spirit alive. The illustrations were great as well!!
I definitely recommend this book for those kids that are approaching the age they may not believe in Santa anymore. This will definitely give them hope.

I loved this book. Lucas is having the same dilemma as every child who celebrates Christmas, is Santa real? This entire story, illustrations included, provide the perfect answer to children wondering this exact same question. Lucas learns thanks to his mother that he is the newest Dream Keeper for the next generation. This could be the next classic book to read to your in-between kids at Christmas time.

This short children’s book is wonderful. I would say that it is a book for all ages, and it has a profound message. The illustrations are lovely. Everyone should strive to find greatness in not only the world around them, but mostly within themselves. I look forward to reading this book to my nieces and nephew.

Priscida Finds Greatness by Constance Mays
“Greatness is Contagious.” My three and a half year old son and I have read this book several times . We both loved it a lot and the message it teaches is even better. My son said Priscida is the ruler of the kingdom because he/she does great things. This is a cute children’s book I think any age could enjoy, I know we sure did. Follow along as Priscida becomes more than a alley cat. I felt like this author wrote from their heart and it showed . This was short read that’s easy to follow and it may be short but the message is louder than words. Thank you for this fun story with a bigger meaning. Greatness is Contagious! I’ve found myself repeating this a lot here lately. I highly recommend reading this cute children’s book. I foresee it being read several times. I look forward to reading more from this Author

So, I didn’t read this to any kids, the ones I babysit are out of town for the holidays. But I myself actually really enjoyed this and I know they will too when they get home!
I’m not to old to admit sometimes, a sweet short story is just what you need before a long day of work. After getting this, I actually have read it to myself 3 times before a long day at work!

Priscida Finds Greatness: In Herself and In Others is a lovely children’s story by Constance Mays. This is a such a charming story with wonderful messages about finding greatness not only in others, but most importantly, in yourself. I feel it encourages self-esteem and encourages the reader to find ‘greatness’ in small things. Greatness comes in many forms. Everyone is special in their own way.
By following Priscida, the alley cat on her adventures- we are shown how to look at life with a better understanding. I liked Priscida and thought she was a great character- she got her message across wonderfully well.
A lovely story with a wonderful reminder/lesson.

The author has been blind since childhood, and through her poetry, and personal journey, she gives us a window into how she experiences life without sight. This is an inspiring book- and I loved how well the author conveys her thoughts and experiences, especially through her poetry.

I have to say this is a good book for kids. It gives them a way to enjoy Christmas but understand more. I know for myself trying to explain Christmas and Santa to a child that’s coming of an age where they realize what it is, it’s hard. I really liked this book and I wish it was around when my kids were young. Give it a read you’ll see, it’s great !

I really liked this short children’s book. It was a good lesson for those kids that are starting to not believe in Santa but keeping the magic alive for the younger kids. This was a real sweet story that is good for all ages that helps answer the question “Is Santa Clause real?”. I especially love how the older brother carries what his mom told him and keeps the magic going for his younger brother. Great book for when your kids start to ask this question.

This was an amazing read! I actually read this with 3 of my grandchildren who truly appreciated every word as I did. The activities were spot on and thought provoking, it was awesome to read a book with them where they asked questions that had me even thinking. I plan to buy this book for a few families as Christmas presents this year. This author is an inspiration and brings awareness to so many things while reading this book. This is so relevant in our world today and I’m so glad I picked this up and so very glad I was able to read it with my grandchildren. It was an honor and might just be one of my favorite reads of the year.

I was lucky enough to have 3 of my grandchildren with me for a few days so grabbed this book as these 3 already are aware of there being no santa. I had them each read this separately and then we talked about it. Each of them loved it. One of them actually wished that when she found out that it had been just like it was handled in this story and they all 3 decided that that’s how they will think about it from now on. That was enough for me to write this review and rate it 5 stars. Have already recommended my daughters read this for when it’s time for the other younger ones to ask this question.

This wonderfully written children’s book tells the story of a little boy, Lucas, as he tries to find the truth about Santa Claus. The illustrations are wonderfully drawn and really helped to capture my daughter’s attention as we read this story before bed.
This story does not give a quick yes or no answer to his question but rather explains a little of the magic of Santa. Lucas is invited to become the newest member of the Dream Keepers. I can see this becoming a holiday classic for kids for many years to come.

This was a really sweet story! I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, something a little different, but this was very sweet to read! I wanted to read it to my one year old daughter but this is a little too much for her understanding right now. I would say this could be a good story to read to maybe 4-6 year olds. I plan to read this to my daughter when she gets older. It has a great premise and the illustrations are beautiful. I think kids would really enjoy having this book read to them!

I was looking for a book that I could share with my son who is on the cusp of not believing in Santa. I wanted a fun way to tell him, but still needed a way for him to not spoil it for his younger brother. This book, like many of the Christmas stories and movies, starts with a friend telling the main character that Santa isn’t real. In this book the mom talks about the child being a dream keeper and that those believe keep the dream alive. The boy becomes a dream keeper so that his brother still believes. A great way to help tell your child about Santa, I just wish it was longer!

This was an adorable book about the true meaning of Christmas and how important it is to keep the spirit of Santa alive no matter your age. I couldn’t read this one to my little because at 5 years old, he still completely believes in Santa Claus and I will give him zero reasons to doubt. I worry for when the time comes that someone at school or in everyday life will ruin the magic for him, but this book gave me a great idea of what to do when that time comes. I will keep it and continue to pass it on to other parents I know who will be struggling with the same thing. I highly recommend it for any parent or teacher who has children around the age that begins to question what they’ve been told. It will help renew the spirit and keep the magic alive.

This is a children’s story that I enjoyed. It is about Priscida an alley cat who learns and teaches us about ourselves and what we can find within ourselves. It is an inspiring story that has graphics that bring the story to life. The characters are fun, creative and unique and I really liked them. A great interactive story that would be great for any child. I highly recommend this book.

This was a sweet book that I would recommended for children who get to the age where they start questioning if santa is real or not. This time of life can be quite upsetting for children as something they care about for years can get taken away.
However this story is about a young boys realisation that even if Santa is exactly the person he was led to believe, that he still exists as long as people believe in him. Lucas then sets out to help his parents keep the spirit of santa alive for his younger brother.
It’s a very heartwarming story and a great idea of a way to approach that question some parents dread of is Santa real?

This is a beautifully written children’s story all about a cat named Priscida. It’s her story about going from being a stray to finding a family that loves herself allows her to be herself and find her greatness.
This is a lovely story and teaches children that they can be great just by loving and by being loved by the people around them. That greatness isn’t about money or possessions but about the love that we share and it’s something we can share with everyone.

This is the story of one woman’s view of the world from her point of view with not just hers but with those who have a disability. We get an inside look of what it means to be blind and appreciate how her world is affected and how to adapt. We can close our eyes and try to imagine but we truly have no idea. It is unique, insightful and interesting and an eye opener as you read the poetry and words and try to imagine. It is also an invitation to children and adults to see the world of others with activities. It shows that even in darkness there is colour and beauty.

This is an absolutely amazing book. I thought the whole thing were beautifully written and such an inspiring journey. It is not at all what I would normally read but I was completely captivated by this author and her writing. It felt like such an insightful novel and I felt like you connected with the author directly, which isn’t something that usually happens.
This is is first book that I have read by this author but I was really taken with her style of writing. I thought the book was well thought out and a pleasure to read.

This was such a well put together children’s book. I loved how it really showed that everyone can have struggles no matter how hard they try, but you should not put yourself down over it! It was up lifting and sweet all at the same time. For children that feel they are not meeting the criteria that sometimes the world puts on them, it can make them feel rather down. This story was a great reminder about how we are all special in our own unique way! Also it was great story about self love, which was very admirable!
Sweet and very touching story. I think any child, no matter what they may face, this is something they need to read and get that life lesson from! It was a very motivational and powerful book, a must read!

This book is sweet, the story is a great lesson and the art is super cute. I really liked all the puns and this one line stuck out to me the most, “Priscida, you are great. Go be great today” I feel that is a very nice thing for anyone to say to themselves before starting their day. It is nice to get that extra motivation even if it comes from yourself. The lesson here is be great, love more and persevere. Great read for parents and children.
