This was our first venture into this author’s work, and I couldn’t resist giving it a try. I am so glad I grabbed it because my kiddos and I had an absolute blast reading it! From the moment we opened the book, we found ourselves bopping along to the fantastic rhyming storyline. I’ve noticed that my youngest pays much better attention when there is rhyming involved. The illustrations added an extra layer of fun that tickled our funny bones. With each page, we find Luca Magoo exploring a new situation that involves an outcome of eating glue. I loved the rhythm and flow of the story, and it felt like the perfect length for both of my kids to enjoy. Overall, I think this would make a lovely addition to any home library, classroom, or daycare! I can’t wait to explore more from this author.
This charming children’s tale promotes essential life skills, emphasizing the equal importance of patience and perseverance, while also fostering good sportsmanship and resilience. This book was beautifully illustrated with great characters. This author is very talented and we look forward to reading more of her stories.

Gadrella by Tricia Gardella is a cute little story book that imparts some important messages too. Gadrella the witch has always done what was expected, what the other witches did. But she has always secretly yearned to do things differently. Why do they ALWAYS have to wear black? And ride broomsticks? And make the same yukky brews in their spell cauldrons? Why do their cats always have to be black? And why do witches only have cat companions? So, what happens when Gadrella decides to follow her heart? Get set for a very cute and engaging adventure. The story is accompanied by charming illustrations that are rich, colourful, eye catching, and fun- which really made this little adventure spring to life. The messages/lessons contained in the story make this a more meaningful read. We learn: -to be true to yourself/be yourself -follow your dreams -do what fulfils you -use your imagination -dance to the beat of your own drum/set your own path -it’s ok to be different -embrace our differences because they are what make us special -friendship -change can be good A meaningful, engaging, fun, imaginative, and enjoyable children’s picture book. This is a super cute Halloween read for your littles. This is the story of Gadrella the witch who doesn’t want to be a traditional witch anymore so she decides that she’s going to make some changes. And as always with changes, her friends aren’t too sure when she shows up to their gathering looking…different. I love the message that this book gives to kids about standing up for what you believe in and being true to yourself. The illustrations are fantastic and you definitely want to add this book to your shelves now!

This author has become quite the favorite in our household and for good reason! My kiddos get super excited when they see me with one of her books. This one was particularly fun because we grew up in a rural area with all kinds of farm animals. I also love that the author always includes life lessons in the midst of the fun stories. Angela is determined to win the pig wrestling contest, but there are a few things she’s unsure about. There’s a lot of people, it seems pretty hard, and there’s a bully here that picks on her at school. It’s a cute story with beautifully vivid illustrations that really add another layer of depth. The flow of the story is natural and a great pace for keeping younger kiddos attention. With a great theme of determination, I think this is a perfect read for kids of all ages!

A super cute story about a witch named Gadrella. Everything has always been the same year after year. Desiring change Gadrella gets to work. With changes made she meets back with the other witches. Some are scared at her arrival with everything different but with some time the others are excited to join in her changes.
The story is absolutely adorable. The pictures throughout the book are stunning and match with the story. The cutest bedtime read!

What a wonderfully written children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. My heart is so full of love and happiness for Cam and his friends. Cam is a foster kid who gets very upset watching the news about a little girl who was being treated right. Cam drew a Picture of a robot and they decided to build it to try and help save the girl. It didn’t work but that doesn’t stop Cam from believing in the robot and himself enough to write a little book. This book teaches to show courage be brave and never give up among so many other life lessons. My son is six and he took in every single word. We loved this book and the lessons we learned. We highly recommend reading this cute little book. We look forward to reading more from this Author.

Although this book is intended for children aged 7 to 9, the lesson is important for everyone. Being kind doesn’t cost anything, and it brings about positive feelings. It opens up opportunities for developing social connections and strengthening friendships, which come in many shapes and sizes, whether you are young or older.
“It’s Cool To Be Kind” not only offers a story but also includes games for children to enjoy at the end of this engaging picture book. It is a book worth sharing.

The message within is to be yourself no matter what, which is an important lesson that I have instilled in my children, grandchildren, and will pass on to my great-granddaughter when she is old enough. It’s okay to be different. This cute tale follows Gadrella, a 300-year-old witch who knows what she wants and makes no bones about it. She is bold, fun, and an inspiration to all those fledgling witches out there. Gadrella is a fun children’s picture book.
This is a very well written book for kids. I love that it covers honesty, the importance of telling the truth and teamwork. The fact that there is a character who is wheel chair bound and able to participate just adds to the quality of the story and the importance of inclusiveness. Thank you M.J. Murray.

What a cute story. Gardella hasn’t seen any changes in 300 years. She wants to start some changes so she does it herself with her costume, transportation and the food she takes. The others have the fear of change but she helps them see that change can be good. I liked the message that was taught and how it ws taught. I can see it also helping to start some conversations when used as a family storytime book. This a winner in my eyes. I will be getting this sfor my littlest granddaughter to remind her to not be afraid to instigate change if its needed. It also has colorful pictures. Perfect for it’s target audience.
Down by the River is a very cute story about the things that happen in and around the river. The catchy rhythm of the words with the rhyming and the repetitive words will have your child chanting along. The illustrations are vibrant and will have you looking for the items described in the text. Very cool book.

This book was good. It was a little advanced for my kids, but definitely recommend it. This story is about Angela, Bruce and a few other kids as they chase after a pig. Angela and Bruce are the last two kids left. It’s a cute little story.

Oh my gosh, this book was adorable and funny. A great conversation starter for the little ones. We laughed at each item Luca thought would happen if he ate a drop of glue. Wonderful story and lots of laughs. The illustrations went perfectly with the story and were bright and vibrant. This is a great one to add to childs collection.
This book is a brilliantly fun children’s book, and is one I never would have guessed we needed. Taking what could be a relatively boring topic (rivers and streams), the author has created a lovely and engaging story that is perfect for kids. It allows them to learn a bit more about them in an exciting way, with some gorgeous illustrations to go along with the story. I thought this book really played perfectly into a kids intuitive nature. It encouraged them to ask how and why and to learn something new. I thought this was a fantastic book and another hit from this author.

This sweet little book is perfect for the new Big Brother in the family. Recommended for ages 1-5, it is bright, colorful, and written in soulful verse. Words are short enough for the beginning reader and is sure to be a bedtime (or anytime) staple. Fantastic short children’s book exploring nature. This is an amazing 5 min read with excellent illustrations throughout. I really love the way Tricia Gardella pulls from experience in her own life with children, grandchildren and such to write her books. Showing children what all they can find when exploring nature is really great. Definitely worth a read before bedtime with little ones.

Cam sees a girl in the hospital on TV and immediately feels guilt. He wants to do something to help her but is feeling helpless. His dream is to create a robot that would help kids in need all over. Cam finds that he can still help people in a more realistic way. This was a great story for kids about believing in yourself and your dreams.

This is such a sweet addition to the Detective Dylan series. Dylan has to learn to work with others such as Paige and Caleb. Those Benny Brothers, I hope to see them all getting along some day. It is super sweet that Caleb wanted to include his brother Alex in everything he did, he treats him as he always has, not letting Alex’s new disability get in the way of them having fun together. The best part is that the camp is inclusive for all. Alex makes new friends in Dylan and Emily and it was nice in this book to see Emily growing.

The art in this book is very nice, vibrant and eye catching. I love that the 3 friends are all so different and wan too find something new to do. They each realize they can help people with things they are already really good at, and that being kind is an amazing feeling. I love the lesson of this book and the story is fun to read. The little game in the end is a nice touch to get children involved.

Beautiful book! The artwork and story are absolutely lovely. This book shows how fun it is to be an older brother. He gets to show his younger brother how to do things, play with him, and help his parents with him. So sweet that the older brother wants to hang out and spend time with his younger brother. This was the first book I had picked up by this author, but the cover looked intriguing, so I picked it up. You can’t go wrong with a book on kindness, but this one exceeded my expectations! I truly loved that these kids were a bit older than most of the books that focus on being kind. It can feel like once you’re older, it’s not as cool to be kind which is far from the case. I also enjoy that another lesson hidden inside is that you get better at what you put your energy into. The flow of this story was incredible and kept the attention of both my 8-year-old and 12-year-old. It also sparked some great conversations in our home that I really appreciate. This would make a marvelous addition to your home, a school library, or even a daycare! I can’t wait to pick up other books by this author.
